Spent 2 nights here. Great hotel, very nice. Enjoyed the beach, rented a day cabana at the residences next door and boogie boards and snorkeling gear from our hotel. Great location. Neat animals on property. Great coffee shop in the lobby.

We were there with a group and we were treated like second class citizens. The check in process was horrendous. We didn t get the room that we paid for until I complained several times. Even though Tyler the front desk manager was helpful and resolved my concerns during our stay, it left a very sour experience. Also, the hotel is extremely dated and definitely doesn t meet the 4 stars. We moved to a neighboring competitors resort after a few days and got an amazing experience there. Pass the Hyatt, stay elsewhere!

The place is beautiful the beach and the pools are great. Nice and relaxing my only problem is after 8 there is nothing to do here they really need some bands or music because. Once you go to drums of the pacific which is great there is nothing to do at night.I was in Waikiki at a hotel that cost half as much as this and every night they had a band at the bar

Great amenities! Great service! The beach location was fantastic and saw very little pedestrian traffic compared to other areas along this stretch.

Speaking of, be sure to walk down the resort board walk and visit the other shops and restaurants!

The parking price was bit outrageous. But all in all, very very great!

Had such a wonderful time during my week long visit at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort And Spa. After spending a week (well, five days) in Honolulu prior to going to Maui, I have to admit I was very satisfied with every aspect of their establishment. Great job y all

We stayed at the Regency for our last night on Maui and we were very impressed. The staff was courteous and helpful, and our room was very clean. The pools were great with an awesome waterslide and pool activities like volleyball and basketball. There were even shops inside the hotel, though we didn't buy anything. Excellent hotel!

The Hyatt cares! My family booked a couple nights at the Hyatt but split up into two separate itineraries. Our first two days were wondering on the 14th floor (1st floor but still high with a view) which was fantastic. My toddler daughter LOVES watching the whales in the morning so before our arrival the second time I asked if we could be put on a higher floor so she could see them better. Upon check-in, we were given a top floor, ocean view suite! This made our daughters day. We will stay at the Hyatt ten-thousand times over. They care about customer service and a family s experience.

So rating a hotel really has to be relative. So my best way to compare this Hyatt is to contrast our stay with the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. These are almost identically priced for oceanfront balcony room. The Maui Hyatt Regency is awful. The carpets are stained. The hotel is dirty. The rooms have not been updated. They are small. While the lobby is fabulous with a sweeping open concept with shops and birds and flowers and a little penguin pool, the rooms in this Maui Hyatt are just awful. The interior really compares to a Motel 6. In contrast, the similarly priced rooms at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai are fabulous. Absolutely 5 star. Those are spacious, modern, updated, luxurious. The Grand Hyatt in Kauai is a gem. For the same $, the Hyatt Regency in Maui is a dump.

The resort is incredible. It's HUGE and beautiful and right on the beach. The customer service has been stellar. My husband requested a different shower head, and they had it installed by the time we got back to our room. In my opinion, that was going way above and beyond the call of duty. There are enough activities at the resort to keep a person busy if they didn't want to explore. I wish I could afford to spend a month here because it would take at least that long to truly experience what this island has to offer. I would definitely come back.

Great experience. The Hyatt truly provides a luxurious experience. We were there on our honeymoon and treated like a king and queen from day one. We attended the luau which had a great experience and awesome food. The best part was simply being so close to the ocean/beach. I would gladly stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. JB also did a great job at making us feel right at home with his friendly attitude and assistance in setting up excursions.

Great Pool and awesome beach! The beach is extraordinary about 20 ft.off the shore there is a beautiful coral reef! The rooms though were ok but still nice with great view. Also the building is in a GREAT location. There is a long strip of hotels with many restaurants and at the end of the strip the is a very nice mall with lots of shops! Definitely a great place to stay.

A giant hotel with an infinite amount of things to do. Its giant size can be imposing but once you understand the layout, it is apparent that engineers designed these behemoths of buildings to feel spacious. Due to the fact that this is Maui, and everything is marked up, the hotel only earns a 4/5 stars due to its markup costs. Otherwise an ideal getaway location.

Our first trip to Hawaii...this resort is incredible.. 5 stars isn't enough!!! Having incredible meals to the beautiful grounds. The staff everywhere was so nice!! I would definately go back here..it truly is PARADISE

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. The resort grounds were a lot of fun, and provided interesting cuisine and recreation. The pools were great, open 24 hours, and well maintained. We enjoyed wandering around the shops, and found the little convenience store helpful.

The room, however, was dated. At the very least the carpet needs to go, it brought the look of the entire room down. Our balcony and view were pleasant. We were concerned by the moldy smell in our room, and honestly the entire floor. It decreased as we stayed and the room aired out, but it was always present. I have allergies, and we were also worried that the mold was a dangerous variety.

Housekeeping was friendly and did a great job.

I'm not a fan of their billing practices. At check in they asked for a card to put on file for incidentals. They did not tell me that they were going to put a $546 hold on it. They held an additional $276 after the first night, because we had a nice dinner out at the sushi place and went over the $100 expected expenses. I had used my debit card, and was a bit annoyed to see over $800 on hold (especially since I'd forgotten to deposit my pay check before leaving for vacation). The front desk was able to take the hold off and switch my debit card for a credit card when I asked, but this sort of thing is important to tell customers up front.

The "swim up" pool bar closes at 5pm, which is disappointing. I believe the latest you can find service elsewhere is 11 PM. Specialty drinks were $15-$17 each, and not very strong (or top shelf). Memorize the happy hours.

Everything at the sushi place tasted amazing, but our rolls fell apart and had to be eaten with a fork.

Lastly, I hate the idea of resort fees. They should be lumped into the advertised rate. I knew this resort charged them before I booked, but held my nose because the pools just looked so amazing online. We plan to visit Maui again in a couple months, but will either stay at a resort that doesn't charge extra fees, or at an airbnb (which is at least transparent, despite its other flaws).

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The downside was the room was very musty smelling and the furniture was old and sparse in the room. Same for the art on the walls. They could use an update on the design. The location of the hotel is great and the staff was awesome. Our refrigerator was broken and froze everything including having a diet coke explode in there. Make sure you visit both pools during your stay as they are very different. They beach is shallow, but that is a good thing as you get to the water very quickly. The food by the pool was also excellent, although the beer was warm, which bummed me out. Luckily me fridge solved that problem, we just kept going back to the room for ice cold ones. All in all, we had a great time and will be back.

Stayed yet again and was happy they have gotten even greener by doing things like changing the shave ice cups from plastic to compostable cups. Place keeps getting better...still time for a refresh of rooms though. :)

We were here for our 40th anniversary. It was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Across the street from the beach. Restaurants and shopping very close by. Expensive, but very nice.

The hotel is in a beautiful spot. It has great pools and great customer service. The rooms are a little older in appearance but fits perfectly for the Hawaii feel. The restaurants at the hotel are great but a little pricey. There's no real complaints and a highly recommended stay.

Wow wow wow!! This place is very posh! You will not be disappointed in staying here. They have their own private beach, the pool is so beautiful and very big. We had Ocean view and the room we were in was very comfy and spacious. When we woke, we would open the patio doors and listen to the ocean and the birds singing. At 9:30am everyday, in the lobby area, there is animal feeding, they have penguins, koa fish and flamingos. There are large conference rooms and souvenir stores as well. The breakfast is delicious, try the POG juice, it s sweet but not over powering and the servers are friendly and fast. There is also a golf course literally right there, so men, don t forget your gold clubs. I would definitely come back here if I were to visit Maui again

Really enjoyed our time here. Our experience here was leaps and bounds compared to our Big Island stay. This is a little bit older hotel but kept up very well and very clean. We really enjoyed the indoor shops (Macy's) and the small convenience Mart they had. Had all the essential at not too much of a mark up. Pools were fantastic. We even watched The super bowl on a giant screen in a cave bar. Awesome!

The room is a bit dated and the service is inconsistent, especially at the operator. The evening and night shifts are giving incorrect and not followed up as promised. The breakfast restaurant is crowded most of the time - your waitress would show up one or twice at most. One is to bring tea and another to drop off check.

Staying on the beach was incredible with the pool, restaurants, and spa along the ocean so that you never lost sight or sounds of the waves and winds. Of course perfect weather and connected boardwalk made traveling to other resorts easy and enjoyable.

Beautiful resort property on a nice stretch of beach. Pools are fantastic, food was amazing, and drinks were great! We loved the grotto bar! There is a great happy hour with food and drink specials twice a day.

Second time to the hotel in 10 years. Service is good and lots to do on the property, if your into that. Place is starting to show its age of 40+ years. Good restaurants on site. Rooms are old and a bit musty smelling. Pool is great as are the Umalu pool bar. Not a big fan of having to stake your claim yearly at the pool to get a lounge chair. Also, lounge chairs are on top of each other. My idea of getting away is not having to rub elbows in a lounge chair with someone I don't know. Make sure you get some type of resort package or it will get pricey for you.

First time can to Maui had the time of my life, the rooms do need a update especially the bathroom. But that being said you only slept there, between the pool which is amazing and the ocean we were never in the room. And if you don't want to sight seeing get a cheap car because everything is there . Love everything about this place hope to go back.

Paid an upgrade from resort view to a Mountain View but instead got a parking lot view. By the way resort view really means no view or air conditioning on top of roof view . They also won t let you use their cart to bring up your luggage but instead make you use the bell hops. Parking is $20/day. $180 just for parking for our 9 night stay. At least I ll be able to see my car from my room.
Update a few hours later...parking lot is now full so can t park there anymore and this is supposed to be their off season.

This is a beautiful resort that we stayed at 2 years back. The room we had overlooked the ocean and every day we didn t even want to leave the room since the views and suite were so amazing. The staff was very friendly. The property was very clean and had so many great pools, spa amenities, meal options and activities to choose from. They even had hammocks and grills to enjoy an even in. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, look no further for your Maui hotel!

We stayed here 9 nights. The rooms are needing updated badly. For the price of the rooms, you should get more.

There was something on the curtains like grease. On our 2nd day, we found a cockroach. It was dead, but that still didn't give me comfort. I showed it to house keeping. She said she would let the front staff know. The next day I visited with front staff. I was told they spray once a week. They sprayed our room after we left for the day.

Hope nothing extra is in our luggage. They didn't offer us points or a discount on the room. We were in room 1911.

The view from our room was spectacular.

We won't be back!

Lovely hotel! We saw a wedding in motion when we visited the hotel and the way the staff handled it seemed quite professional. My favorite part of this hotel is the Grotto Bar... it's a cave like bar that you can swim up to or walk into. Definitely a family friendly spot with a cute kiddie pool area and beautiful landscaping.

Great views. Wonderful staff. Prices are very high. The upgrade for my room was only an upgrade in view, the room itself looked and felt like an ordinary room from one of their mid range hotels. Needs a little updating. Restaurant and bar prices are also very high. The food/drink/room just doesn't equal prices. Food and drink could be larger for the buck and room def could use updating. Overall it was a good experience such as the lobby looking like a tropical exhibit, and the pool was constantly bustling. Hearing the waves crash against the shore and other waves from the room was wonderful. Staff was super friendly. But the little things is what turned me off. Stains in the room carpet, out of date lighting that seemed from the late 90s, balcony door constantly came off track and looked and operated like one from a cheap motel. Hotel boasts of using recycled water that is filtered and clean, but the showerhead and faucet had major hard water buildup and stains. Couple this with the high prices that probably transition the regency residence club/stay rather than go back into the hotel itself, made for a lackluster experience for a "Resort"...would I stay again? Yes...but I wouldn't pay for it. External experiences were good. But for the overall room experience, I've had better at hotels a fraction of the cost.

Loved it! This was our first trip to Maui and we did not know what to expect, but felt true relaxation and great family time during our trip.

Some details: we have stayed at other Hyatt Resorts and this is similar but seemed to have less structured kids activities, which was fine because all we wanted to do was swim and explore Maui. If you are looking for a robust child's program, better call ahead and find out what is available.

The pool was fantastic, and even though the hotel was "booked solid," I found the crowds very manageable at the pool. Yes, most of the best chairs at poolside are taken from 10am-4pm, but other chairs were available and the pool itself never seemed over crowded.

A real plus was the shave ice stand at pool side, some of the best and most authentic shave ice we found during our trip.

Restaurants were solid but not a highlight. The Japanese offering was good, but we've had better. The morning buffet was tasty but not special. The poolside casual restaurant was surprisingly efficient given the crowds, had our pizza out during lunch rush in about 10-15 minutes. We are not big steak fans, so we skipped the steak restaurant. If you want other options, Whaler's Village is a 1/2 mile walk and the neighboring hotels have options too. We tried the Westin one night for dinner at Oceanside and thought it was no better, no worse.

We saw the Westin and it is not fair to judge as it is under construction now, but one observation is that the Westin seemed more like a traditional hotel with a small lobby, upscale crowd. I found the huge open air Hyatt and more casual crowd to be more to our liking.

The retail mall in the Hyatt was appreciated. My wife found a dress at Macy's as we decided to do a photo shoot last minute. Also, the artisans shop was very welcoming with authentic, local art.

Last point about saving a few bucks. The Regency club for a family of 4 is about $120/day. I think it includes breakfast and light refreshments during the day. If breakfast is NOT included in your booking, this seems like a good deal, as it would be about $105 (with tax and tip) for breakfast and then the extra $15 seems like a fair deal. On the other hand, if breakfast is included, the club is overpriced.

Like all resorts now, the hotel is selling timeshares, but we felt zero pressure and the sales force was actually interested in helping with questions.

Concierge helped us find tennis lessons at a nearby resort, but was otherwise limited to activities one could easily book on their own.

The luau is about $150 for adults, $75 children and seemed very popular, so much so that we could not get seats.

Summary of pros and cons:
Pros:
+pools!!!
+swan garden
+location on the beach
+genuinely caring staff
+great coffee shop with waffles!
+great mall in lobby
+mini fridge in room

Cons:
+restaurants could be better
+housekeeping was overwhelmed and got to our room late most days
+no onsite tennis pro or tennis/basketball activities despite having courts
+limited children's program

Fancy pants place, probably overrated. Actually, yeah, pretty overrated. Certainly overpriced for what you get. Did a mother's day brunch there that came out to over $400, the four seasons in Manhattan is half that. So paying double the price of already insane just to know the beach is 100 yards away is hard to make sense of.

Comfortable and accessability to activities were awesome! 5 days staying there and didn't needed to go far. 10 minutes by walk to whalers village 12 minutes by car to Lahaina town. Snorkling, surfing, whale watch can be reserved in the consigeries. Awesome pools and beach is right in front. Green door policy and happy hour was good enough to save money. Convenient store 'till 11:30 PM and 24 hour pool etc. Everything seems to be fine for me.

An awesome resort with great views, room, beaches and facilities. Exceptional. The rooms are starting to show some wear but otherwise spectacular. The room pictures were from 1818 in the main tower.

Upon arriving staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The resort is absolutely beautiful. Thee lobby is an elegant high ceiling room that seamlessly extends into an open courtyard with gardens and views of the ocean. Walking around the resort many of the main hallways blend from indoors to outdoor garden. We stayed in a room with a king bed and a partial ocean view and had no complaints about the room or view. The room layout for very well, the bed was very comfortable, the porch had two chairs with a very space efficient triangle table, and there is a nice storage unit near the entryway and bathroom. I liked how the bed faces the doors to the porch, it gives a nice view when the doors are open. Our partial ocean view gave a great view of the pool of the new tower next door with lots of vegetation surrounding the pool. Just beyond the bushes and to the left was a spectacular view of the ocean. While there was some noise from the pool, it was very relaxing sitting on the balcony. Concierge was also very helpful in assisting us with activities to do on the island. From booking excursions to suggesting hikes we had plenty of activities planned after a half hour sit down.

One of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. Everything was amazing from the pool, beach, shops and dining. This place is truly amazing. Our room overlooked the pool, ocean and beach. The rooms are nice and since we don't spend much time in the room we don't expect much.

Beautiful hotel in a great location! I enjoyed having a work conference here. There is a free public parking area so you will save $20-25 daily parking fee so many hotels in this area charge. Look for a garden with penguins, small pond with koi fish & a large colorful parrot in the lobby. Many birds outside such as flamingos, swans & ducks. Quite a delight for the kids!

I just want to say that the concierge at this resort is elementary. They said that they booked us 4 seats on a snorkeling trip, but they actually only booked 2, so we had to get off of the boat and it ruined our whole trip. We haven t asked for a refund yet, but if they don t give us one I will be even more angered, and disappointed.

Good afternoon

Good afternoon
I am a travel agent and I would like to share with you the review from one of my client about this hotel.
"We had a great 7 day vacation and we really enjoyed staying at Hyatt, Maui HI. They have amazing stuff, quick service and great amenities. Beautiful view and great pools and hot tubs. Our kids did enjoy the pool, birds, fishes and penguins. Every request was promptly responded. One thing that bothered us was our room. It was small and old furniture, but everyday cleaned professionally and kids toys were on top of pillows which was very sweet of housekeepers. First day we came on May 3rd on Friday The sheer curtains were ripped, with big holes. The curtains were grey( original color white) and dusty because of time and sun burn. Unfortunately I didn t do any photos because we were extremely tired after 20 hours traveling with 2 kids, and the second day those holes were sewed by the housekeeping staff I am assuming. And another thing in also first day I saw a hole in our bed sheets with a size of golf ball, and next day I have seen several small holes on our sheets. We paid a lot of money and were expecting much more from the Hyatt!!! From outside everything looks perfect and luxury but the rooms would be like in a old, cheap motel in Montana. For my review of this hotel I can t give more than 3 stars. Very disappointed with our room!!!
I forgot to mention if they don t believe they can go and check room number 370, those sewed curtains are still there for sure!!!"

I'm rating four because I'm trying to be fair with the place. It is a very nice resort - great room, great pool area and bar (the tropical drinks were delicious), a few different restaurants and also right on the beach. Basically everything you need from a resort. Downsides: except for the japanese restaurant the other places had a "OK" food with a resort price and there was line for the breakfast. The Luau was also not worth on my opinion, it doesn't feel real at all. I'd say that those are somewhat details only tho because what really upsets me is that they had animals on the resort. Wild animals should be in the wild! They would put birds on cages around the patio every morning and them took them out. Also had penguins. I'm not saying that the animals are not well treated but I just don't support this.

I was excited to stay at this resort. When I arrived the staff were super friendly and the lobby was gorgeous. The grounds are truly amazing. I was disappointed however by my room. There were stains on the carpet in the hallway and the rooms are really showing their age. The bathroom is outdated and I just felt the room did not match the luxurious feel of the rest of the hotel.

We look forward to coming here every time we're on Maui. Jeff in the front desk was so courteous and welcoming. He made our check in such a pleasant experience. The whole staff and crew are amazing. We requested a crib/pack and play in our room and it was assembled and set up with mattress and sheet already Togo when we checked in! We love this hotel!

Wonderful resort. Some complained of rooms being too dated but they were clean and well kept and not too dated. Shouldn't be spending that much time in a hotel room anyways if you are in Hawaii! Everything you need is there or in walking distance. The staff was always very nice and helpful. Would go back!!

We had the opportunity to visit the hotel with a corporate group. The hotel location is gorgeous and the grounds are extremely beautiful as well. The staff is incredibly helpful for any questions or requests. This is one place you would not want to miss a sunset from.

I attended meetings here 2 days in a row. The room was nice, refreshments were very tasty, audio visual worked fine. The room was the perfect temperature the first day but on the second day everyone was freezing despite asking to have the a/c not so high. This has happened in previous years. They really need to get this working better.

This is by far the worst four star resort I have ever been to, Infact it should not be classified as a 4 star. I was on my honeymoon and paid for suite with oceanfront, I was given an ocean view room half the price of my original purchase, on the lowest floor staring at palm trees and a pool with minimal oceanfront. The room was dated and disgusting. When I asked for my suit and that there was a mistake, they were overbooked leaving me to sleep in this filthy room the the whole time I stayed in Maui. The washrooms were also dated and disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone traveling to Maui, stay at the Sheraton where there's actually swimmable beaches. 1 stars as far as I'm concerned.

Horrible check in experience. Called multiple times prior to arrival to make sure our party's rooms were near. 'Near' evidently means the same building. Also, the supposed upgrade fee jumped from $50 to $100 for an ocean view room. Check in manager tried to put our party in the same room twice during Checkin.

Additionally the hotel rooms and facilities are showing bad wear especially for the prices commanded. See the bottom of the bathroom door, a hole in the building and rust on elevator doors.

I stayed in Hyatt regency for 3 nights during our visit to Maui. It was Good but it could have been better. Front desk people are not friendly and kind of irritated all the time. The first room we checked in had water leakage issue so the carpet was wet. Then we had to leave to another room in different building The Room was super tiny especially the bathroom and also very old and super duper smelly :( . Toilet flush was Creeching for a long time after every flush which made night sleep disturbed. Just because they had leakage in the down floor the handyman crew came in and checked the sink which is located right outside of the toilet. Then they started fixing it. We went out came back after 2 hours they were still working on the issue which made us restrain from using the bathroom and also we felt so uncomfortable to stay in the room as they were working.

Apart from all those negative things, they had spectacular views from the property. Daytime views, evening sunset from my balcony and night time ocean sound are speechless. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Even for vegetarians they had so many items. Big nice pool with slides my teens favorite place. The pool is about 4 feet in most of the places but some places are deep especially the area near the slides it was 9 feet deep suddenly from a 4 feet deep which was not marked. They could use some divider in that area to avoid unnecessary drowning panic situations.

So I enjoyed my stay at Hyatt but I am not sure if I would go back again.

Although we didn t stay here, we visited this resort for the Luau one evening. This place is big, almost too big for a place like Maui that prides itself on humility and local culture. It felt like a place you would stay at in Orlando, not Maui. Despite all that, the place had plenty of parking, with shops indoors that was open to the sky. Just make sure you re wearing your walking shoes when you walk from your parking spot to your room.

This place has blown our minds. Beautiful ocean views as well as a nice view of the mountains. The hotel itself so far has no faults. Everything is very clean and convenient. Definately recommending if you are looking to stay in a resort hotel in hawaii.

When you have 14.!family members staying here at $500 a night and the bartender and bar manager won't allow you to have a drink or shot for a celebration, because in their opinion one is over the limit we will never stay nor recommend this hotel again!! .We were belittled and accused of one of us being an alcoholic because he was 23 and asked for a second drink.

One of the best resorts I've ever stayed at. Exceptional service from beginning to end. The rooms are not super outdated or dirty/peeling even though this was built so long ago. One thing I like about this resort is that you have the option of not having your room cleaned (sometimes its not that dirty!) and in return, you'll get a $10 food and bev credit for the hotel. Do it twice and you get $20. Pretty awesome. Also, the beach at this resort is also second to none! Beautiful sand, and we even saw a turtle swimming around! Last not not least, ululani's shaved ice is on-site which is reason enough to stay at Hyatt Regency :D

We were at the Hyatt on Maui for a 5 day stay in March. Location wise the hotel is on a beach on the west coast of Maui. While initially bummer for having a view inland this ended up not being all that bad since 1) we were active and didn't spend too much time there and 2) the lush green mountain view is very beautiful! We had a king size bed in a reasonably sized room. The bed was great and the rest of the amenities were typical of what you would expected from a hotel room of this caliber. While the shower could have been a bit nicer for the cost of the room, it was acceptable. Outside of the room, the hotel has a bunch of restaurants that are overpriced but tasty and a couple of store for gifts and the random thing you may have forgotten... They even had a Macy's. There are many pools with plenty of areas for kids to play and adults to enjoy drinks. For those that don't like getting wet there's a good course and a number of tennis courts though having not used them I don't know if they are reasonably priced. If you can stomach the high room cost this is a fantastic location to explore and relax. Best of all I haven't met one worker here that wasn't kind. Service must be a high priority at the Hyatt!

Location doesn't have much going on around the immediate area. There are other hotels with their own restaurants and a small shopping mall but it is approximately a 15 to 20 minute walk. Food options are pretty non existent in regards to real local food. Room is perfect and guest services were great so far. But location is my biggest gripe because there isn't much going on in the immediate vicinity. My husband And i are a young couple looking for more night life, activities, and site seeing

The room, staff and location were great. The grounds are amazing. Only complaint would be the small parking spots. It's $10 a day more for valet, I would recommend it if you're not cheap like me. The pools, beach, golf course all amazing.

Amazing stay. The grounds are beautiful - I could have stayed in the hotel and just find new corners to work on my thesis and instead of feeling frustrated, feel relaxed doing it and enjoying the views this place offers. I wasn't so fussed about enjoying the pools/beach/sunbathing at this part of my stay.

The food that I had here has also been great, which pretty much is always high end priced but the up side is the general experience and quality of experience is good - you get the experience you pay for.

We enjoyed this resort and would certainly return. Pros: location, beach, amenities. Room was generally quiet and Nellie in housekeeping was a GEM. Cons: only one restaurant and a coffee spot open M-F for breakfast brace yourself for long waits; mattresses were uncomfortable for us and seemed to be ready for replacement; and our newly renovated room had auto nightlights when one gets out of bed they were too bright, came on without any provocation, and did not have any brightness control. (A call to the front desk quickly addressed that and our warm refrigerator.) Grounds are gorgeous and the luau was a good one so far as luaus go (I ve actually attended this one before). We did valet and self parking and both were fine. Concierge services were great!

LOVE this hotel! I ve been back in England for 2 months and still often dream about going back! Shame we are so far away! We had a mountain view room, which was lovely! Absolutely beautiful! The pool was amazing! We loved the cave bar! Food was nice especially the club sandwich. And the sea is right there on the grounds, clear sea and beautiful sand. The birds they have, really make the hotel special! The staff were very nice and polite. Wish I was there now!

Definitely one of the top hotels in Maui at this price range. It includes a few bars, pools and the drums of the pacific luau. There are a few restaurants, and an animal sanctuary in the lobby area. The rooms were very clean and very nice. Worth coming back to for sure. If you do not know where to book on your Maui adventure. I would 100% recommend this place as a safe purchase. I would also recommend checking the timeshares, because they are even nicer, and you would be able to go to Maui more and enjoy yourself.
