Totally love this concert venue! Saw the TSO with Leon Fleisher. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The sound quality is spectacular and the TSO magnificent. So happy to be able to have seen Leon at this part of his life! It is wonderful that Roy Thompson Hall is accessible from the PATH providing easy routes to transit and a plethora of shopping and dinning establishments.
I had an amazing experience here. If you are younger than 35 you can get great deals.
I have sat at different spots at Roy Thompson Hall. The audio is decent as it is delivered through the gigantic speakers on the ceiling. The attached photos show the view of the stage from the first row of section C7.
Went there to see a Christmas musical show with 4 years old son, and people around us were complaining because my son was dancing, and they can feel the vibrations, so we had to leave !!!
Very sad experience for me and my son
Beautiful theater for entertainment. We attended a wonderful reception in the atrium prior to the movie.
this is a prefect place to listen classical music. love it !!!
The ultimate experience for classical music in Toronto.
Beautiful concern hall with excellent performance. However one thing worth noting is that it has very limited washroom availability. Usually during intermission the line up can go up and down and around the stairways and extend into the main hall area... Could be quite a wait.
Nice hall. Was there for a job fair. Was hard to find the men's bathroom
Attend the TSO quite frequently and this is a great venue for it. Also highly recommend attending any movie or pops (singing) events they have. Anyone we have taken as a guest is blown away by the combination of venue and talent on stage.
Parking can be a challenge as they only have staffed booths, and the people working it seem determined to go as slow as humanly possible (would think it's their first time if I didn't see them every time).
The staff are also inconsistant, depending who you get in your section some will scold you for having anything near your feet in the asiles, others will let people record video with their cell phones light on for extended periods (seems to occur more on the left hand side). They also are starting the shows later and later, but that's more a TSO then venue decision.
I attended good concerts with good performers here.
Best orchestra in the world. If you haven't checked it out I highly recommend.
But what would great orchestra be without a great venue? Roy Thomson Hall had been designed with one goal in mind- your have to hear to believe it.
I have enjoyed some of the greatest works here from Shostakovich to Beethoven from Mozart to Mendelson.
Something is always on here.
Their washrooms are terrible - too tiny for such a huge venue!
Acoustics could be better, but it's a lovely place for a night out.
THE place where every seat is a great seat. Just avoid the very last row at the top most level if you have long legs
A fantastic place to watch the TSO! The hall is acoustically incredible so you'll have an incredible experience no matter where you sit!
Came here to see a film concert and absolutely enjoyed the experience. I have never been to Roy Thompson Hall before, and I was impressed by how professional the entire process was. Every staff was kind, supportive and patient when dealing with guests. The seats were absolutely comfortable and there was plenty of space for your legs. The acoustics were great. Roy Thompson Hall is easy to get too from the path, subway, and even when driving into the city.
If I had to make a small complaint about Roy Thompson Hall, it would be the snacks they offer. I would appreciate a bit more variety in the types of things you can buy. For example, different kinds of candy (instead of all chocolate).
Beautiful concert hall. The sound is very clear and and there's no bad seats in the house. It has a uniquely intimate atmosphere.
Gorgeous exterior and interior. Wide selection of performances, well suited to the performance venue with superb acoustics. Gem of Toronto. Staff was accommodating for those with injuries or disabilities. As well as late comers to performances. Enjoyed a great night out.
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is a must for locals and visitors alike. Roy Thompson Hall offers an incredible experience to all audiences. Be on the lookout for pre-concerts from TSO's soloists.
My favorit entertainment in the City . the TSO and all the other shows. I love Roy Thompson Hall. Thank You
Excellent place to see a concert or have a fun night on the town
Beautiful hall but some of the security were a bit inconsiderate.
Not really a bad seat in the house and the sound is wonderful. Seats are comfortable and there is sufficient leg room unlike some Toronto theatres that I could mention. Not exactly an accessibility king though. if you have issues with stairs think carefully about where you are going to sit because I had to go up and down multiple short sets of stairs to get to the box I was in.
Outstanding architecture, concert hall has a great sound with good sight lines. The TSO is outstanding, offering classical and modern music with style and substance. Must listen music!
Handel's Messiah was exquisite this year. Always appreciate it. This year it glowed! Love the venue and the event. Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Mendelssohn Choir are world class.
It's getting old and could use a reno but there's still no better place to go in Toronto. The TSO is spectacular, too.
A beautiful space both as a performer and audience member. Check out the free noon hour concerts!
Love the architecture. Great entertainment. Expensive to snack.
I went here to see Dear Evan Hansen with a few friends. I loved the venue, the staff and the ushers were amazing and very approachable. Overall a great experience, but just be aware about the parking.
Excellent concert by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, a place with class and distinction ....
Had the chance to watch the ode to Glenn Gould at RTH and was nothing but impressed by the venue and the staff!
Beautiful building, and the shows are top-notch. I have spent many hours here learning and listening to music. If you can catch a NatGeo Live event then seize the opportunity!
Come check out the TSO on their home turf. The acoustics are great throughout. While most folks like to sit front and centre, it is worth checking out the far left and right for a different view on the orchestra.
A unique and attractive setting to listen to the brilliant TSO. Many classical concerts are offered, as well as National Geographic talks and Movie screenings with live soundtracks.
Great place to enjoy concerts in Entertainment District of Toronto with Transit Score 100/100 and Walk Score 100/100!
This place is fantastic. One of the hallmarks of the city indeed. Since I m new in town, I only had the chance to visit it three or four times, but each experience was very unique.
The seats are comfortable and you can have a good view even from the cheaper seats at the balcony (yes, I can t afford the best seats... yet!)
The last concert I attended at RTH was the Messiah, by Handel. An absolutely mesmerizing experience that I d like to repeat whenever I have the chance.
Went there for parking only, but the facilities looked great.
Great theatre. Acoustic. Beautiful Venue. Accessible for everybody and the personal really good and professional.
Great acoustic here, comfortable venue. One of the top for classical music in the whole GTA.
A very prestigious venue in Toronto it is very unique in its architecture. Close to restaurants and the subway it's well located for an evening out. The seating is nice and it's a good size for still having great views of performances and excellent acoustics.
No matter where you sit you have a great view. Many forms of concert
Recently, went to a concert at Roy Thomson Hall and loved it. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The actual structure of this building is amazing.
Nice venue with a nice theatre. Great place to enjoy a show downtown
Excellent music and orchestra, easy concert style with outstanding music performers. Have hear the "James Bond in Concert", very good voice solist including. Price 45C$ is okay for this excellent performance. Enjoy when you can!
Awesome.
Loved it.
Wonderful music. A grandness to the hall and lobby add pleasurably to the experience.
A classic venue. Also a classic place to be crammed into a very small seat with your knees up to your chest. Lots of obstructed seating to occupy while you are soaking up the historic magnificence of the place. Oh well, the neon sign is pretty cool, and it is an icon. What else can you say?
Love this place for concerts...fantastic sound. Comfortable seating as well.
Nothing but great things to say about this concert hall nor the musicians that perform inside. TSO exceeds expectations every time.
Beautifully situated for out of towners and easy walk from union station. Facility is lovely and sightlines and acoustics are great. Many close by eateries.
So many wonderful symphonies. Love that they are doing the music to movies now too. Such a fun experience!
Was part of TIFF and saw new Tom Hanks film here on Sat. The space was great for gala film viewing
Great night at the symphony. Acoustics are excellent. Building needs an update tho.
Beautiful cultural venue. The seats are spacious and comfy and there's always a diverse calendar of events sure to satisfy any tastes.
Great place for concerts shows nice setup of the hall
Energy emitted by the sounds of many voices singing harmoniously make me feel alive!
