Everything one expects from a Hyatt. Nice resort. Good service.

I was there for a conference and did not stay in a room, but from my coworkers who did stay overnight I heard the rooms were very nice. The breakfast and lunch provided for the conference was good and the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. The conference rooms and the bathrooms were neat and clean. There was another conference going on in the same hall and I only encountered one problem. The other conference had their breakfast and lunch in the hallway/ lobby (ours was in one of the rooms) and it was not clearly marked for their conference so there was some confusion. When myself and a coworker arrived in the morning, we mistakingly got ourselves coffee from the wrong table before we realized it wasn't for us, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall my experience was a very positive one.

Attended a wedding on the manor lawn with a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay as the sun was setting. Beautiful location!

I had one of the best hotel experiences here. There are many dining options available. Our room was always cleaned. We had a nice view of the bay. The walks in the morning were very relaxing. The staff was nice as well.

The Hyatt is super kid friendly resort, sadly this was a weekend without the kids for us. We still had a great time, even as the staff learned the ropes on the fly over memorial day weekend. Dock staff was top notch - they gave us a close slip since we were staying in the hotel, gave us a ride to check in in the golf cart and to top it off the fuel dock was less expensive than I pay in D.C. to fill my car. Bed, decor, amenities, fitness room and pools were all top notch. Only drawback was the speed of service. Good times, will probably come back with the kids, might search for a different location for our next kid free weekend, but it was memorial day . . .

Called marina on two occasions for rates for transient boat docking. They said they would call back but did not. Marina transient rates are expensive for such utter lack of responsiveness. Stayed at Cambridge Municipal Yacht Basin. Excellent facilities that are cheaper and can easily walk to restaurants in town.

My partner and I spend at least two days a year staying at this gorgeous property during the "off" season (winter). The food and service are OUTSTANDING...even by Hyatt's very high standards. Try the Sticky Bun French Toast or the Crab Benedict for breakfast! Heavenly!

Jason at the Marina and his help are outstanding! Silvia very good at pool was great. Andrew and Angela were awesome! Logan and front desk staff, Bell hop's, and shuttle guys great!

Had a great weekend with my wife at a couples retreat. First class hotel and resort. Service was outstanding. Food was good also.

Great hotel. Whole family had fun. Smores were the best! Movie night at the pool was popular with the kiddos. Just wish they had a baby pool. My 2yr and 4yr were too small for all 3 pools (3'6")

Was there attending a major 3 day event function for over 500 attendees that had selected the HR as its host hotel. They did an excellent job in that respect. Since I was not a guest at the hotel and didn't experience any of the facilities of the resort complex, my remarks apply only to my experience at the bar. Nice bar and upscale lounge area overlooking the Choptank River. Service in the lounge area was a little slow but ok. I'm a craft beer enthusiast and they fell a little short there. The selection was mostly limited to the usual mass produced junk lagers which is unusual because of several great craft breweries in the area.

Absolutely amazing place. Super clean and nice. Very modern with all amazing amenities you need. Employees were very nice, and everything was up to COVID standards. Definitely would come back.

Beautiful views and friendly staff made our visit memorable. It was easy to reach from the highway and would be a perfect place to relax.

This resort is very nice. Everything is modern and clean, and the rooms are large and well put together. The location by the bay is beautiful and the convention center was great for a huge venue like our company holiday party. I'd like to return for a weekend romantic getaway and enjoy the atmosphere more.

What a fantastic place to spend some time. The views are gorgeous and the service is top notch!

While checking into the hotel, my car was struck by a guest. The valet advised the guest to flee the scene of the accident, then conspired with the hotel management to hide the identity of the driver. Hotel management refused to provide the guest's name and repeatdly lied regarding his whereabouts. Hotel security stated that Hyatt staff's action were in accordance with hotel policy. I had no choice but to call the police in order to compel the hotel staff to provide the name and contact information of the driver. The responding officer acknowledge the illegal action of the hotel staff.

A little too kid friendly, at the expense of other guests

We have an annual meeting at this resort with a group I'm affiliated with. I start looking forward to the next year about a week after we get home from here!

If you have a group and can get a steak cooking class arranged let me tell you, you will not be disappointed!

The location/scenery and activities makes this a great place to take a family for a vacation.

Very nice hotel and resort in Cambridge, situated right on the Choptank River.

Rooms were great, very clean and home-like feeling. Great customer service as well. Had a problem with keys that didn't work, but issue was handled promptly. Overall, a great experience.

Overall, we had a lovely time during our visit to the resort! As a Hyatt Residence Club owner, we always choose Hyatt first and are usually not disappointed! While we felt the rooms were a bit dated, they had a lot of nice amenities including the refrigerator.
My only issue was we had received a brochure for a $200 resort credit and when we called to book 7-8-19 no one at the resort knew anything about it and we were told to bring it only to find out it could not be used during our stay. We wished we could have been advised of this BEFORE our arrival and felt that everyone should have been apprised of the coupon during our initial call to reserve our room!
The valet was wonderful and they should be commended for their excellent service! Our room was kept very clean and we appreciated Lucy s attentiveness!
We will return again to this resort because overall it was a great weekend! Perhaps, on our return trip we will be able to use our $200 resort credit!!

Great but with soundproofing issues. Had a great visit and wish we found it when our kids were younger. Great amenities and beautiful places to walk outside. But the room adjoining ours included rambunctious young children which unfortunately the soundproofing couldn't suppress. It would also be nice if there were small luggage carts to convey baggage from the distant parking lot.

So much to do! Golf, minigolf and frisbee golf. 3 pools w/waterslide, complimentary exercise classes and much more

Spent our anniversary there and we had a great time. Whole staff was unbelievable and the golf course is a great value, meaning it's a great course and quite honestly cheaper than I'm use to playing.
Bunkers needed some work due to recent storms, but the greens and fairways were in great shape

Love this place - a tranquil getaway for the busy DC lifestyle

Our stay was nice overall but nothing blew us away. The bed they claimed was a king is not actually as wide as a king. I even took a tape measure to it and it was about 4 inches less wide than an actual king sized bed. There were also several flies in our room that seemed to be invincible. Other than that the grounds were beautiful and the food we did have on site was nice.

Can't say enough nice things about this place. Friendly staff. Kids activities all day long. Food is excellent. First class place.

We have been coming here for over 10 years -we have always loved it but definitely were some moments where it fell short of our expectations. Not this time!!! Unbelievable and noticeable changes under new management the place looks gorgeous, we just love the renovations!!! Israel at the front desk was so attentive and had perfect customer service that made me feel so taken care of. I am not sure how Waters Edge would have run so smoothly without Ava s high energy and professionalism -even under pressure. We also loved all of the new menu items and additional activities . There were a few managers I did not catch their names that were obviously making the experience amazing for everyone as they ran around from room to room making sure everything was taken care of and stepping in whenever needed.
I cannot wait to go back

This is a beautiful resort with wonderful pools and good pool food. There is a fun pool for families which has fountains and a water slide. Also a relaxing endless pool which is more suitable for adults. The staff will serve drinks to guests who are lounging in the pool. The view from the endless pool is incredible, overlooking the Choptank River.
There is also an indoor pool that has dive in movies suitable for families at night. They have a huge outdoor fireplace where you can make s'mores. The restaurant inside the hotel has a wonderful brunch which is well worth the $21.95 per person price. The bar in the hotel has some unusual and delicious bar food. They had a singer with a guitar for happy hour which was enjoyable.

Amazing place! From the time we have checked in until the time we left, this place has felt like home. They have an amazing staff and are very attentive to everyone's needs.

I loved everything there. The best part was the gluten free menu. Also the rooms were more sound proofed then lots of other places I stayed. I will go back when I can explore more of the hotel and grounds.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay resort is a well kept and friendly resort with all the amenities and customer service you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Indoor/outdoor pool areas and gym kept very clean, friendly staff, ample conference space, and decently priced food and drink (relative to other major resorts). The biggest complaint is that it isn't really in walking distance to local attractions or restaurants, and Ubers/taxis are few and far between for the area. That being said, you'll likely have your car with you anyways.

Just a short one-hour-forty-minute drive from DC without traffic, this resort gives you just enough escape from the city without requiring extensive travel planning. I first came here for a work conference and was so impressed by the experience that we came back 2 weeks later for a short getaway over 4th of July.

The staff were amazingly helpful, polite, and ready to assist in any way. Service at poolside was timely, there were a good number of chaise loungers, and on the 4th of July the management even arranged for more seating to accommodate the holiday rush. There was, however, a need for more sun umbrellas, as folks rushed to grab the few chairs that had even a little shade from the hot July sun. Additionally, the pools closed quite early at 7pm, even though it was still quite bright outside.

For an additional cost, a private rental company has a location on-site to rent boats, kayaks, and even jet skis. The cost of renting a jet ski is not insignificant, but was absolutely a highlight of our visit. We recommend making a reservation early in the day to ensure a rental is available.

From a food standpoint, the resort had some high quality options to choose from. Even during the mid morning breakfast rush, a table for 2-4 had less than a 15 min wait. The breakfast buffet was of higher quality than what you normally see at even upper-mid-level hotels, and there were plenty of a la carte options on the menu ranging from classic favorites to regional fare.

The Water's Edge Grill has all the dishes you would expect at an American grill, including several steak options, more vegan and gluten-free options than I expected and of course a good number of seafood options.

For a dining experience more focused on seafood and local catch, the Blue Point Provision Company is just a 5-7min walk along the waterfront from the main building, and a shuttle is available in case of inclement weather. Again, the food here was excellent, the staff friendly, and being located at the entrance to the pier, it was perfectly located for an after-dinner stroll before heading back for an after-dinner drink at Michener's Library.

Another small concern I had was that, like a few other hotel chains, room service food is now served in "eco-friendly" take-out containers. I do not understand how it is more environmentally responsible to deliver food in disposable containers instead of regular plates that can just be washed and reused. As with most unusual choices, it probably comes down to money and the cost of additional staff to deliver carts of food and then go around picking up used trays.

That being said, we still give this place 5 Stars, and would absolutely come again!
