This was our third time here and we are now considering this our annual runaway from home trip. We all love it here. There is so much for the kids to do and its great for adults as well! The staff is fabulous. Thanks Hyatt for allowing us to relax and forget about reality!

Not being one for a lot of catchy words and drama I will keep it short and simple. The service we experienced at both poolside and at The Blue Point Restaurant was painful & pitiful! The waitstaff was inattentive, untrained and struggled terribly with the English language. Our waitress could not comprehend basic requests like asking for oil & vinegar dressing for our salad. Or what type of lettuce is used in the Cobb salad. And what's up with taking 10 minutes to go find mustard for my hamburger only to return with honey mustard stating "that's all we have". Lastly and the worst was paying our tab. I don't even want to rehash that whole fiasco. And oh yeah the food? We came by boat and we were hungry - so we ate it.
It is a total joke that this Hyatt has the rank of a 5* resort - Give us a 3 or 4* any day!

Beautiful facility located on the water and near many attractions. The banquet staff is very accommodating. I highly recommend this resort!

Very nice room and a nice shower. Nice hotel with the polls including one indoor. They have a waterslide, aimed at kids mostly. They have a mini golf course for families. They add a resort fee of about $25 per person plus other fees to the otherwise somewhat reasonable room rate which quickly adds up. Other than the pool and the mini golf, many things are not free for example using a paddle board or kayak.

Wonderful resort. Everyone working at this resort has been very nice. There's giant chess, 3 pools, movie nights at the indoor pool, restaurants, an arcade, fitness center, a beach, mini golf and so much more. It's such a nice place to stay if you can.

My boyfriend and I went of dinner and it is such a beautiful place. The best part about it is the dock that you can walk on that is on the water. It's a great place just to take a walk! We love it.

The first night was amazing . However Friday in to Saturday was just okay. I feel like the service went down when the weekend staff took over. We were there for a convention and stayed an extra day for my husbands birthday.

Overpriced for what it is. I attended a wedding here and while the reception was lovely, the wedding itself was a bit of a mess. The staff started taking down the decorations before the bride could even take any pictures.

We had a very good sat. The rockfish at waters edge was amazing. A little sparse and diminished due to corona virus but overall a fantastic anniversary weekend and fun but soggy golf. RAR is newly remodeled expanded and still serving excellent brew. We'll be back. Looking forward to next year

Really nice resort. Incredible spa! Great and caring staff in the spa and really yummy food in the restaurant on site...huge rooms! Housekeeping supervisor was apologetic and timely about getting on top of a cleanliness issue regarding the bathroom towels that had hair on them and a fried spider blasted from the dryer upon check in. He resolved the issue and gave a $50 gift card to dine. I plan to definitely return and take full advantage of the spa. Best I've been to in a while.

Always a fantastic experience there with family. Staff, always greets you,and cater to all your needs. The food is off the hook, and always spot on. Thank you for another night to remember.

Poorly equipped to serve those in wheelchairs. My husband is in a wheelchair and our room was on the 5th floor. When I inquired how he would be evacuated (if need be), I got blank stares followed by hotel policy on ADA. We stayed one night instead of two. General manager of no help, either.

Stopped here for the Ironman finisher breakfast. The grounds were clean and the views were amazing. The banquet room was nice and modern. The breakfast buffet was just okay with scrambled eggs bacon and sausage the bakery Goods were delicious.

We are leaving a day early, partly because this hotel doesn t seem to be doing all it can to protect people and partly because we are not as ready as we thought we were to be around so many people again. We have seen a couple of staff members not wearing masks correctly or not at all. We see plenty of guests not wearing masks indoors, which they are supposed to, and we don t see any staff correcting them or trying to enforce the rules. The website said pools would be kept at half capacity, but they aren t counting people and the pools were packed yesterday. The website doesn t say it, but the outdoor pools (which are larger than the indoor one) closed at 7 pm, so if you were planning to wait till the crowds went away to catch some pool time, you d be disappointed. I thought the person who made my reservation said the hotel was booking only half capacity too, so I expected it to feel less busy here. There s no housekeeping in the rooms, which I totally support, but the trash cans in the rooms are tiny and quickly overflow, especially since we re eating in room more often than we would in normal times; I suggested they provide trash bags but until then, tip: bring some large trash bags with you! People leave their empty cups and cans all over the side of the pool and we didn t see any staff picking them up, which normally I might not notice, but in the age of COVID ... There are smaller things that I won t mention here, but the bottom line is that if you re feeling anxious, but really wanting a getaway, and you think from the website and what the reservation person tells you that this hotel will feel safe (relatively, obviously), you may be disappointed like we are. We are ending our stay a day early and will plan to come back whenever the crisis is over (Oh, and when it s not jellyfish season? Is that a thing? Can t really use the little beach for that reason right now). There are LOTS of people here who look like they re having a wonderful time and aren t bothered by any of this, and tbh I envy them a bit! I am just not there yet and will not be trying another hotel stay for awhile. The grounds and the views are really beautiful, the room decor is cool and comfortable, rain showerhead a nice touch. Oh, btw, the concierge was not helpful at all. Handed us a brochure, and that s it. So I d suggest doing your homework and booking excursions on your own if you come anytime soon!

My husband and I went to the Hyatt for a wedding. It was very difficult to find the event space as nothing was labeled and there were several other events taking place. We found out the location of the wedding wasn't finalized until the day of. Other than that, the venue was lovely, the ceremony at an outdoor gazebo and the reception in an event room of the hotel. The bar service was good and the waiters friendly. The food was average for hotel catering, nothing special. We didn't stay over or use any other hotel services.

The hotel and staff were friendly and courteous. The only issue we had was at the Waters edge grill. We both got the $42 dollar rib eye steak with fries and Mac and cheese. The steak was absolutely a disgrace. For the price I expected more. The Mac and cheese was horrendous. The only thing edible was the fries. The restaurant did offer 20% off and a free desert. The desert was again, terrible. I would go outside the resort to get food. For a resort that boosts that they are a premier resort the food leaves much to be desired.

I went to Hyatt Regency for a vacation and all though the facilities are nice and the hot tub was fantastic I cant help but wonder where did they go wrong with the food. I ordered a caesar salad and burger the lettuce was fine but I got a pound of waxy parmesan on top which ruined it and the burger was burnt and the mushrooms were gross.

These guys know how to do it. It seemed as if they knew how to put a personal touch on everything. The staff were all super happy and friendly. They truly made you feel right at home and it seemed genuine. The amenities were beautiful. I cant believe that for a four hour drive from New York you can go to a nice resort. It felt as if we were in Florida or Cancun but with out the flight.

The room was beautiful, spacioy and very comfortable. The view of the bay is spectacular. The staff are incredibly attentive and we had a blast with all the amenities.
Extra point: you can bring your pet.

Overall Great, but there is some room for improvement. Snapshot. Very kid friendly, very friendly staff, Very attentive, with a few exceptions (I'll expand on that later) Lots of activities offered for families. A bit overpriced, especially at the restaurants (some more then others) Don't waste your money on the gift shop deserts or the "Eagle's Nest." More details. I have stayed here twice. At my 1st stay during check-in they tried to pull a fast one by switching my room and trying to upcharge me for the room I requested. I booked through a 3rd part and clearly they didn't like it. In comparison on my second booking was made through them on Hyatt credit card they had upgraded me upon arrival.Moving on the the spa. Probably like anywhere it just depends on what masseuse you get. My first massage was excellent. The second one, I felt that my particular masseuse maybe needed to revisit her anatomy. At times the pressure was perfect and in just the right spot at other times it felt like she was just missing the mark ever so slightly making it less enjoyable and feeling a little bit like I wasn't quite getting my money's worth. The "Eagle's Nest" is a complete waste of money don't even bother going there. Their service was very slow and unattentive My husband felt that they had opened a can of Manwich and dumped it on his sandwich but charge the price of actually making it homemade. I think generally the ingredients were pre package low quality . As for the "Blue Point Provisions" the overall experience was better at this restaurant. The staff was very attentive many of the staff would come over and ask how was everything. However, our waiter himself could have been a little better. Perhaps they use the winter months to train staff for the busier summer times. We need just a moment more but literally a moment more if we didn't have an answer for him within a second he walked away. Mind you it was dead at the time. Then we were waiting for our check for a long time. He served three other tables took the orders of two other tables before finally giving us our check then again served several of his other tables even though I had told him I have the credit card right here he just walked away so I had to wait for him to serve several other tables before he picked up our check and the same deal before he actually ran our cc. All in all the food was good however small portions for high prices. I would not call it Gourmet quality yet we paid gourmet prices. Next the "Water's Edge" we ate there for breakfast both days using their Buffet which isn't always open but was when we were there. Since we were able to eat there twice I can compare the two 1st day great 2nd day cold unappetizing. The 1st nigh at 1 a.m. in the morning our room alarm went off. The previous person who stayed in that room must have set it for some godforsaken reason. I did let the guest service know this and $50 credit was added to my room. While I though a $50 credit was a more then generous compensation they never made me aware that they had given us a $50 credit and since our rooms were already paid for by free rewards when we were checking out she told me I had a $50 credit would I like to quickly spend it on something.

The hotel was OK. The room was perfect with a great view of the water. However, the breakfast was far below acceptable. They had a very limited buffet and the food was below average - very disappointing as my wife and I were looking forward to a good breakfast. After breakfast we played miniature golf and walked the property. We discovered a lot of trash around the property - what does it take to have one hotel staff member walk the property in the morning to pick up trash? Probably not coming back in the future.

We come here once a year to get away from
DC with the kids. We ve always left happy and relaxed. There s lots for the kids to do- indoor and outdoor swimming, mini golf, arcades, making s mores in an outdoor fireplace, cinema evenings, and many more. For adults, all the same activities apply including a top quality spa, golfing of course, an indoor gym and aquatic classes. The beach is, like expected, extremely polluted. The oil is visible. Quite sad.

I marked them down because the hotel is getting old and the quality and variety of food isn t what you d expect of a similar star hotel.

I love love love this resort. It's a little Oasis just a hop skip and a jump away. It really feels like you're at a full service vacation resort when you're there. And, maybe that's because it is! We went there for a quick day away and had great food and service ordering to the room. We had an amazing waterfront view from a standard water view room. Walking around the trails and down by the water is nice too. Didn't play golf this time, or attend any event, yet I know for a fact that the golf course is impeccably maintained and fun to play, and the conference center has and can handle it all.

The room my husband and I had was very comfortable and clean. And the customer service we received checking in and checking out was fantastic!
However, the room service we ordered, a cheese pizza and a bowl of clam chowder, were awful. We paid about thirty dollars for a cheap pizza that tasted like it was made with ketchup and soup that we ended up just tossing.
My biggest issue though was the lack of complementary coffee. I mean, come on, even cheap motels offer complementary coffee! This hotel simply directed you to a Starbucks where you could buy their overpriced coffee. (And obviously they have those crappy hotel coffee pods, but who wants to drink that?)
Overall I would say the room itself, location, and customer service were great. Amenities and food quality were trash. If you do stay at this location, I would not recommend purchasing their food, the Denny s right down the street is amazing and there is a Walmart across the street where you can purchase food as well.

I have traveled the world over and have never experienced the outstanding level of service from the front desk. Kearston at the front desk greeted our group everyday with a bright smile and a warm welcome. She educated us about the resort and area attractions. Can't wait to return.

Editing my original review. I originally rated the property 1 star because we had cleanliness issues with our comforter (stains) and one of the chairs was damaged (the whole back was torn up). I had called down to the operator who could care less had an attitude and didn't even have the common courtesy of apologizing. Waited 20 minutes for a new comforter before calling to speak with a manager. We ended up speaking with Allison, who was the manager on duty When I first got on the phone I was very frustrated with the lack of cleanliness and service. Allison immediately made things righ, apologized and got us a new comforter within 5 minutes. She went above and beyond to make sure that we understood that they took customer service seriously and I was thoroughly impressed!
