The staff was very courteous and help full. The room had clean sheets and towels, however it was showing some were and tear. The hotel is starting to show some age. Also, the dinning was excellent, but very over priced. For breakfast, we decided to go to a dinner then spend twenty dollars per person for there's. As for sleeping the bed was comfortable. Thought the wall seemed paper thin. We could hear every conversation in the hall as well as in rooms near by. If you have loud neighbors this could be a problem.
Josh Watkins is what customer service should always be. He made a horrible situation into a good one!
Would give it 5 starts but the entertainment systems in the room were very dated. The ipod ihome, from about 12 years ago, didn't work, and the remote control for the TV, from the 90's was a hassle to use. There were also barely any channels available on the TV.
Went to the front desk and asked for some creamer for my coffee. I was told someone would bring it to my room. Waited a full hour.... Creamer never came. Called front desk and cancelled my request. They were apologetic? So much for customer service....
Long time hyatt customer. Very disappointed in the quality of this location. Will not be returning. Try Hyatt Place in Long Island instead.
We honestly loved our stay at Hyatt Regency. Room was very clean and spacious, front desk was constantly and was properly staffed at all hours. The bar area was great and had a lively croud. I would definitely recommend Hyatt Regency and stay again if our travels ever send us their way.
First thing is the staff is just wonderful very helpful and polite made me feel right at home! I had a very comfortable stay! I was pick up by the shuttle bus from airport the driver was amazing! Very clean beautiful hotel! My first time staying on Long Island NY, I will be back! Very impressed with the service! The room deposit went back in my account very fast ,I am very impressed!
Thank you to the staff at the Long Island Hyatt regency! I had an amazing stay with you all... I will have to say 5 big fat stars!!
Ann Johnston from Texas....
Very nice, room 408 and 410, wifi is free but terribly slow. Pools are awesome
The hotel itself is decent. The rooms are clean and wifi speed is acceptable. The hotel location is kind of crappy because there aren't many restaurants close by. This wouldn't be that big of a deal if the hotel restaurant was better. The food is mediocre, but it's the service that is really horrible. It's consistently the worst service I've ever seen. I guess they don't care because it's not like you really have many opens when staying there due to the lack of restaurants in the area.
The staff was amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to please us, even sending up cookies, milk, ginger ale, cheese and crackers, and wine for free (without evening asking!). The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are fantastic. The pool and hot tub were amazing. Loved my entire experience.
The hotel is nice and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately if you buy anything from the hotel it's expensive. There are also no nearby restaurants.
Great hotel in the area with very reasonable rates!
Some of the staff are ignorant. It also took me three days of asking for a microwave to actually get one. The house keepers do not come to your room at all while your checked in. We had to stop them to ask for toilet paper. Once they ignored us. You have to let the water run for atleast 5 minutes before it gets hot. The windows let so much cold air into the room its not even funny. Every time we went to the pool, the chlorine was so bad it irritated my our skin. The hotel is very nice looking so its kind of sad that no one cares. Although most people in New York that I have met are rude, so maybe its to be expected.
Great food great restaurant unbelievable staff they go out of there way for you. I was booking at the raddison hotel in Hauppauge . You must read the reviews I left . The Hyatt took me in understanding my problems there. Couterous to me when the raddison hotel try to committ credit card fraud. Help me get a room when I couldn't use my cards until next day. Highly recommend wish I could give ten stars
Nice place. Got a great room. Staff a bit funny though.
Good experience here. Usually can find a good nights sleep at a Hyatt hotel. Breakfast was good, but a little pricey. Shower water pressure 9/10.
Nice hotel and conveniently located. Rates were pretty reasonable but some of the extras were very expensive. $5 for a bottle of water!! Elevators were very slow. According to the guest amenities book in the room accessing the wifi would add a charge to the room
DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 3 PM.
I and my 1 yr old baby arrived there one hour earlier and asked to check-in early. The front staff said it is possible but will be charged $50. I stayed at many other hotels in my life and it was the first time to charge for one hour early checkin. They have a rule but normally other hotels allow coming in free of charge.
The hotel has nice lobby but the room should be upgraded and more clean. There were too much dust and something sticky on the carpet. We couldn't be bear foot.
I was there for a meeting. I had to purchase some water and a snack from the gift shop because the bar /restaurant was not open. It was a little too pricey and I had to wait a while for help. Other than that it's a nice hotel.
We had great experience last night after our even. Loved bar. Great Environment . Great Hospitallity
Went for a auction. Hotel looks very nice. I would stay at a Hyatt if its the same quality as this one
I felt very taken care of, from the moment I stepped in this place. The front desk met with me right away, even with being extremely busy. The check in front desk person was very classy and I had my key in no time. They even hooked me up with water bottles!
I came back to my room one day with groceries and my key didnt work. Front desk brought me a new key within 3 minutes! It was so fast and helpful! They even brought me a microwave at no additional cost!
I really appreciate this hotel and the top notch service!
We stayed here early this month and the hotel was nice, rooms clean but the worst customer service. The hotel is under staffed. I had to order Ice to the room since they do not have ice machines on every floor. After one hour of waiting for my Ice I called and they said oh we are sorry we forgot. Also the lobby bar has good food and drinks but again not enough people to work. The wait to be served is quite long. I dropped my sweater at the parking lot and called to see if they had it, they confirmed the had it. When I called couple of weeks later and asked if they still had my sweater so someone could pick it up I got no answer. The receptionist put me through the house keeping who is in charge of lost and found, no answer. Left message on phone never received a reply. Called back and the receptionist was unable to help me only house keeping would.
It is really unfortunate, as a member of Hyatt I expected more.
Nice facility for a professional meeting! Clean and comfortable.
Rooms are clean and comfortably furnished. The lobby and seating area have a nice aesthetic and are big enough that you don't need to be on top of other patrons while you're there. The front desk staff are really friendly and helpful. Bob the bartender is top 5 most irritating people I've ever met. I had to go to my room and drink wine with my wife like some artistic city dweller because I couldn't listen to this dude talk about himself and his jack Russell terrier anymore. The bar itself could be bigger as well.
My husband and I booked a group room block for our wedding. From the very beginning we've had nothing but issues. Our account was handled by four different people over the course of the year. As the cutoff date got closer guests called to make reservations and were told they could get rooms cheaper outside the block leaving us to pay for extra rooms even though we had enough guests to meet our quota. When guests arrived they were given either the same room, or rooms with other guests not in our party already occupying the room. My husband and I booked the suite. Somehow in all the madness of my bridal party getting ready in our room the bedroom door got locked and closed. As our wedding ran late, we didn't realize we were locked out of our bedroom until about 2:30AM. When we called the front desk we were told there was nothing they could do as engineering didn't come in until 6:30AM. We had to spend our wedding night sleeping on a couch with no access to a bathroom as our bathroom was attached to the bedroom. How does a hotel not have something so simple available 24/7?! The next morning after a horrible nights sleep we packed up all our belongings after finally being allowed into the bedroom and didn't make it down for breakfast until 11:35 where we weren't even greeted with a hello but instead got told "We're closed!" When I asked where we could eat the woman just walked away instead of informing us the upstairs restaurant was now open. Later that night once we got home I realized I had left my laptop in the safe in our room. How was I never called and told there was something left behind, was it just so housekeeping would hope I wouldn't realize and could steal my laptop? I called the hotel at 10:30pm and asked if my laptop was found. I was told that the housekeeping supervisor was gone for the day and told to call back tomorrow. I told the woman who answered the phone that was an ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE answer and asked her to go check herself, which she did. She told me my laptop was there but that I couldn't come pick it up until tomorrow morning. Again, how do you not have something like this available 24/7? My husband and I travel a lot and after this experience we will never stay in a Hyatt again. This was the absolute worst experience of my life.
Stayed here a few times and it's always very clean and friendly service. Food is also pretty good.
We had such a great stay here. Our suite was spotless everyday with an incredible view of the city.
Provided a great experience for my clients and I, look forward to our next big event
Beautiful clean and well kept location. Stayed here dozens of times and was never disappointed.
One of the best places to stay on Long Island. The Management and staff are wonderful hosts. Very acomodating and very comfortable.
Don't stay here. This barely deserves the Hyatt name. It's a glorified motel with horrible staff. I put my family in this hotel for an entire week and they were treated badly. They are still there at the moment, and I cringe to think what else has happened since we spoke. The staff was rude and short with them.. which is crazy because my Dad is super lovable and polite in general. I even called to try and rectify the situation, as I felt there must have been some sort of rogue incident.. but I was welcomed on the phone to the same nasty attitude that my Dad described! :-O It was shocking!!! Their TV was broken- and even some staff agreed that they knew the TV in that room was broken, and they didn't know why they were placed there. Porters yelled at them to get out of the pool at an unreasonable time. The room was dated and bathroom didn't work well.
My family is now angry at ME for placing him in such a bad hotel and situation!!! And I actually can't blame them. I should have read every review and perhaps even called to discuss their amenities and feel out the vibe.
My family stays at Hyatts around the GLOBE (shout out to Palm Springs Hyatt, the last amazing vacation we took). This property doesn't deserve the Hyatt name.
I would BEWARE and look elsewhere for a place to stay and do business, or entertain family and friends. I do event planning and I will certainly never use them for an event either.
Warm staff and amazing hospitality.
Rooms were decent but service made up for it.
Restuarant was great as well, close access to other restaurants, business, atm, gas and stuff.
I ve stayed here a number of times, most recently the night before and the night of my wedding. We utilized the hotel block and I stayed in one of their bridal suites.
The staff was easy enough to deal with, though they were hard to get ahold of at crucial times regarding the hotel block.
As far as I know all of my guests received their wedding welcome bags.
I have to say the rooms were clean and comfortable but the walls were paper thin. I could hear everything happening In the room next door which I can imagine could be unpleasant or disturbing depending on who you end up next to. I just heard a loud cougher who s alarm and snooze alarms went off incessantly. I had ear plugs in case - can t be jeopardizing my sleep before my wedding!
This hotel is absolutely fatastic!!!!!! The outside patio is great place to get wasted!!(by chocolate of corse) the bathroom on the C level smelled absolutely awesome.!!! It smelled like strawberry short cake! (IT IS A MUST DO) like the best place to go number 2 in the whole building. There is also a lot of great diversity in people there, there are a ton of Indian weddings and they are a blast to crash!!!! The pools are regularly cleaned and clourined to make sure you don't get diease.
The Hyatt regency is very nice. I went for a seminar.
Clean room, acceptable WiFi speed. However, the breakfast was the same every day. After 3 days I would've wanted something else.
Have stayed here several times for business. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and the servers are outstanding. The hotel restaurant is also good. The gym is well equipped.
Not great. Room was fine and services. Neighborhood not great and Loud Neighbors
I went to the Hyatt to recover from Cancer Treatment - The assistant manager David was the most pleasant and accommodating person. I was extremely nervous about recovering in a hotel room, but was so happy when everything went as well as it did. Thank you to all the staff that helped me during one of the worst times in my life!!! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a place.
The meeting rooms were well appointed, and the staff were very helpful. Facilities are very nice
So I made a trip back to NY for 10 days, 1st time back in 23 years. I stayed at a Marriott, the W Hoboken, A Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island, and this Hyatt Regency. This is the worse of the bunch, as you can see by my room number, has Hyatt turned into Motel 6. This one issue has turned me off to Hyatt, I knew without staying in Manhattan I wasn't going to be in any 5 star hotels, but the W Hoboken was so far above in everything, even with their AC going out one night. There are three wedding parties here,(very busy hotel, if you are looking for peace and quiet dont stay here), the rooms are noisy, beds so, so, and this morning when the guy next to us or above us took a shower you could hear it from our bedroom. I only gave it two stars because the lobby is nice, and beds were not the worst Ive ever had, but are firm.
Good, clean hotel but with super slow elavators and an over priced breakfast brunch.
It was okay. There was no ice machine that I could find on our floor. The pillows were goose feathered and deflated like pancakes instantly. Terrible nights sleep. Good thing the room itself wasn't too expensive. Beautiful lobby, car and dining area though
Very nice hotel. The restaurants inside are delicious and convenient.
A very nice property but what really sells this place are the wonderful people working there... A true team. Thanks for the great stay and the remarkable service.
You get what you pay for, which is a somewhat costly. However it's worth it.
Very comfortabel and luxurious. Indoor and outdoor pools. Very well equipped fitness center. Restaurant and bar. Shuttle service.
There is an a la cart breakfast menu, or a $20 buffet. That is the only minus I see.
Not impressed. ..room was very clean. Was not a wow factor for me this first time out. Tv in room is outdated. Took forever to Chang channels. No tv guide easily spotted. The in room refrigerator was making loud noises all night and the air filter in the room was not changed since feb!! Was a caked on mess. Bed was very comfortable and shower was nice. Would go back next business trip.
Use to be a very nice place to stay but its outgrown itself. They are so busy that they can't keep up with themselves. The rooms are still nice and clean. The bar area is still nice but they change there menu with every different group that comes thru there. So its hard to get accustomed to what you liked before.
Nicely laid out ballrooms. Well maintained. Easy to get around
The room was quite dated and smelt weird. The carpet had some stains that looked uninviting. I had some problems with the shower - it took couple of minutes for the water to heat up, and I was just standing there naked waiting if I get a chance to shower. On the good side, Wi-Fi was working quite well and the staff was very courteous when I asked for additional shampoo bottle.
Really nice hotel for the price! Great customer service, clean rooms and the staff were very friendly! Pretty delighted with my stay! I will come back!
The heat never worked, huge flower pots on the sidewalk at the entrance makes it difficult to get by with luggage.
Comfortable beds , nice place. Outdated though, can use a modernization.
Wonderful stay! Great location with some gorgeous fall views from a high vantage. It's nice to have the restaurant and room service available.
Great accommodation, food, and service. I'd highly recommend this hotel on Long Island.
