The location is good, the rooms have a veneer of being recently updated (though if you take a closer look you can see they didn't do a whole lot), and the staff is friendly. However, they do seem to love to nickel and dime their guests. An extra $15 a night for decent WiFi speeds? $20 for a buffet breakfast that is only OK?

Beautifully clean and staff was extremely pleasant. Kudos to Belinda of housekeeping and Manual who staffed the front desk at 4;30 in the morning. I had forgotten an item of sentimental value in the closet when I left, and they both went out of their way to return it to me in a timely manner. Their kind ways made the memories of my stay all the sweeter.
Went for a seminar, reception did not know where the class was being held. Room had no fresh air.

The customer service was one of the worst I have seen in a dozen different COUNTRIES I have been to and when challenged about it the service gets worse.
Its a 4 star property but...Review would be 2 stars had management not rectified multiple situations which negatively impacted our stay.
Bar & restaurant staff were great - in particular, Food & Beverage Supervisor - Raees Ansari, world class service from that gentleman.
Same goes for housekeeping staff, top-notch & very accomodating.
Management acknowledged & took corrective action on aforementioned issues, that along with the cleanliness and great rooms would bring us back.

Room was nice, had the red carpet treatment with a bottle of wine when I arrived last after a long flight. Did not receive breakfast in my room the next morning for some reason.
Good clean rooms. WiFi now has a free tier. Restaurant actually knows how to cook a steak. Service can sometimes be a tad spotty but the food and drinks make up for it.

Has really gone downhill. I had my room changed 3 times because things were not working correctly. Property needs so much attention and maintenance. I understand how hard the situation is right now with Coronavirus but you can't let your hotel get this run down.
Looked nice and clean. I thought it was weird that the trash receptacles were temporary cardboard receptacles.

Well, if you like overpriced rooms in the middle of nowhere, thin walls, HBO family as the only premium channel offering, driving 10 or more minutes for decent restaurant selections then this is the place for you.
This place is good for a one night stay, but nothing else.
Attended a rehearsal dinner at this Hyatt. It did not go well. Food was very long coming out and did not have much taste. Would not recommend.

Really enjoyed this hotel and it's service. Room was great as well as the pool and hot tub. Only complaint is if the hot tub could have been warmer. Overall, enjoyed my time at the Hyatt Regency.
The enhancements to of the property are only surpassed by the caliber of the staff. Know this property before it was built. It opened as a Marriott, converted to a Wyndham, and Hyatt has finally taken this asset where it always deserved to go.
Best place to stay in the area! You almost forget you are on Long Island.

Room was clean and if you needed anything the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Just avoid this hotel (at least while Covid is still a major concern). The service is terrible. They don't offer bathroom essentials like lotion or conditioner. Even when they advertise they offer free breakfast, there's is no such thing. All the amenities are closed and there is no room service. The front desk personnel is always busy and it takes you more than one try to reach them.
Mini Fridge at the room is noisy and might make it hard to fall asleep.
Make yourself a favor and pick up another hotel

Nice rooms and nice location. Have had numerous problems with the room keys becoming deactivated and the lock mechanism not functioning. Changed rooms during one stay and had the same issue in two different rooms.

The upsides: nice looking place, good location, helpful staff, good restaurant. Nice shower and tub. Lots of newer towels.
The downsides: poor rooms w unuseful desk that is too high and a non-office chair that is way too low, uncomfortable pillows, thin blankets, no extra blankets, few power outlets, poor TV selection, no glasses in bathroom, maids don't refill coffee.
Conclusuon: overpriced and under attention to details. Older furniture that is out of sync w their clientele.
The location was perfect for the purpose that I needed, which was to have a hub to return to after I visited a relative nearby and the room was quite comfortable. Pretty standard Hyatt stuff.

Friends were staying at the hotel for their wedding. Last night we had a large group for dinner around 10pm. Young children and everything. We must've been a nightmare for the staff. They were super friendly and accommodating to our needs. The food wasn't 4 star but it was still pretty good. The bartender made a pretty good old fashioned too.
The hotel and staff were both very nice, however the shower in our room didn't drain and I heard from other family members that the showers on their rooms didn't drain either.
I was not there for anything that would make me like or dislike the Hyatt.
The hotel staff was excellent (especially during breakfast). If I had to have one complaint it was that the rooms need to be modernized. Otherwise I would highly recommend this establishment if you need to stay on long Island.
I've stayed at this Hyatt Regency multiple times as my corporate office is in the area. This is a very nice property especially compared to what else is in the area. The staff is great, rooms are clean and the golf course view is beautiful. The one bad thing is the food is not great. The menu looks good but the quality is poor.
The hotel is clean and well appointed. Guest rooms are up to date with refrigerator and coffee maker but no microwave. They use ihomes for clocks so you cant set the time which makes me nuts. Only one restaurant for this large of a hotel makes grabbing dinner very difficult and service is slow.
DO NOT STAY HERE. EVER. worst experience of my life. worse than any budget hotel/motel i have ever stayed in. we were here for a family wedding and had a large amount of rooms blocked off and pre paid for. after the wedding, MANY guests returned to the hotel to be told that their rooms were no longer available. the "gentleman" at the front desk was SO unbelievably rude. many out-of-town guests were left with no where to stay. a majority of the guests did not receive the gift bags that were so thoughtfully prepared for them, by the bride. it's a shame that the effort that went into planning such a special event was overshadowed by a completely incompetent staff. i cannot stress it enough... DO NOT STAY HERE.
Just spent the night there. Worst sleep I have had in a while. Pillows were terrible. Food saved the stay.

My daughter went for a job interview, this place is absolutely breathtaking. The staff were courteous and nice. Would love to stay here a night or two.
The overnight agent Ray was of great help. I was here for a wedding and got stuck locked out of friend's room with two others late at night. Initially I was told there were no rooms available but my years of experience working in the hotel industry kept me insistent on getting a room. I was a bit drunk and obnoxious and Ray handled it like a champ; even upgrading me to a room with two beds so that my buddies could also be comfortable. Thanks a lot!

Small really great bar. Pool, perfect. Quiet and not anywhere as expensive as one would think. I highly recommend it.
Room wasn't ready, AC hardly worked, breakfast room at hotel (buffet) was dirty and so understaffed that I basically felt I waited on myself.
Hotel certainly wasnt bad, rooms were clean, etc but seemed like an overpriced 3 star business hotel rather than the nice 4 star hotel we were expecting.
Bar was okay heard a maid stole a considerable amount of cash out of a newlyweds room so I won t be going back
