The location is good, the rooms have a veneer of being recently updated (though if you take a closer look you can see they didn't do a whole lot), and the staff is friendly. However, they do seem to love to nickel and dime their guests. An extra $15 a night for decent WiFi speeds? $20 for a buffet breakfast that is only OK?

Beautifully clean and staff was extremely pleasant. Kudos to Belinda of housekeeping and Manual who staffed the front desk at 4;30 in the morning. I had forgotten an item of sentimental value in the closet when I left, and they both went out of their way to return it to me in a timely manner. Their kind ways made the memories of my stay all the sweeter.
They were very accommodating, checking in us early so I could take part in a wedding. The bar looked nice but I didn't take part. Everything was clean and the service was prompt.
I was staff at a convention held at the Hyatt Regency. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and staff was generally kind and helpful. However accommodations for food (having gluten free, diary free, and vegetarian options) were not made, and when asked there was either no responspe for alternative food was prepared an hour later.
I've had problems settling into a room, the first room was near a large heating and air conditioning unit for the entire hotel which is very loud and vibration sounds. The second room air conditioning unit in the room was loud has a high pitch sound when the unit is running. The third room is okay but they need to upgrade their air-conditioning units within the hotel. The food is just expensive and edible. There is nothing close by to go somewhere else to eat not unless you like casino food which is down the road a few blocks. I am not impressed at all with this hotel.
Reason why I'm giving it a poor rating. The room I was staying in on December 31 2020 on the 10th floor room 1011 the HVAC system wasn't working, did not provide for heat or AC. Slept with the congestion all night. There are no ice machine's on each floor. Then the Hyatt charges there customer's their credit card a $50.00 hold during check out, Hyatt replies you will be refunded back in 5 day's. Why wasn't this brought up to customer's while making reservations here at this Hyatt. This Hyatt is in dire need of restoration & major upgrades to their hotel. This is not a 4 star hotel at all, just saying!
Hello! I came down for a friend's wedding.. The rooms at the Hyatt Regency on Long Island New York are very clean, excellent beds that catered to your body (memory foam), a variety of cable channels, wonderful shower head with massager, and so many more amenities. Normally, I do not write reviews, but I felt this hotel deserve praised to living up to as they say" the hype ," (having and doing what they day on the website)! !! The only problem we had were slow services such as ordering more towels, desk service bring sissors up to the room, getting receipts for breakfast, and loosing the directions I left for the desk staff about the room key when my other friend came up to escort me to the wedding. Lastly, thanks Hector-great bartender and the rest of the hotel staff..Thank you for making my stay and a couple of my friends stay an enjoyable one. Sincerely, T.
Staff did not seem to know which end was up for rooms booked for a wedding block. Gave us wrong keys, gave my cousin and her father the same room keys.....they were not staying in the same room. The room was just ok for the price. Not overly impressed with the place.
The service at the restaurant is bad ... they took forever to take my order they brought it wrong and even the manager came to my table and asked me if everything was ok i didn t want to complain so i stood quite and ate my food but asked More
The customer service was one of the worst I have seen in a dozen different COUNTRIES I have been to and when challenged about it the service gets worse.
The sink has issues, and it was clogged, due to that, the sink was draining from the bottom. The room had dust on all the surfaces, i guess that's good, it means the room wasn't used for enough time for the COVID-19 virus to die if existed on any surfaces. No mini fridge in the room.
Had a great view, comfy bed and a lot of pillows. The rug didn't seem to be the cleanest. Reception was nice and hotel staff are great! The ball room we used was nice. Wifi could be a bit better than 5Mb per device.
This is a nice hotel in a quiet setting. Stayed 2 nights. They provided a pack-n-play for my baby. As well as, a kit of baby shampoo, lotion wipes etc.The rooms are clean and cozy. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Starbucks coffee in the rooms. Nice view of golf course from my room. Great fitness center with water, fresh fruit, towels and morning newspaper. Pool is nice. There's also a hot tub which I was looking forward to using, but sadly it was out of order.
Room was clean, but the mattress was a bit broken down. Nice new TV , but the TV channel lineup had many low def channels.
The tub drain was completely clogged with hair. There was no water draining at all, leading one to believe that whoever had last cleaned the tub must have noticed this . Either they told someone and no action was taken, or told no one, or.... Never cleaned tub to begin with!
The door to room was sticking, requiring a decent jerk to open or close. Again, this had to be noticed by housekeeping. If they cannot keep up with such basic maintenance, where else are they falling behind?
Perhaps they had some staffing problems in the maintenance department. Perhaps we'll not be back.
The staff is so pleasant, the waiters and waitresses really know their stuff and give great suggestions just go with it!! The food is great especially the Calamari and the Seafood Cobb salad!! I will make this trip again and try the golf course in the summer.
I traveled to this hotel for a conference and while there were some good things there were also some major issues.
First the good...the food served at the hotel during the conference was really good. And the bar tender we had at a private happy hour made me an amazing drink. The hotel was fairly clean and the staff did their best to make us happy. But there were definitely some issues.
My coworker stayed in room 1021 and told me the shower head was lose. Another attendee of the conference was staying in room 529 and the smoke detector was beeping. He reported the issue, maintenance came up, attempted to fix the issue but the alarm started to beep again.
I noticed some wear and tear throughout the entire hotel. But again, it wasn't all bad. The staff I talked to was attentive, the food was good, the bed was good and overall I felt comfortable...along with feeling hot.
Absolutely loved this hotel... beds were super comfortable, breakfast buffet was delicious, and room was a great size; I highly recommend staying here!
Beautiful property. 5 star staff. Rooms are comfortable. Love the VIP guest treatment I got when I arrived in my room. I was greated with a complementary bottle of wine, and a red carpet entry.
Room was nice, had the red carpet treatment with a bottle of wine when I arrived last after a long flight. Did not receive breakfast in my room the next morning for some reason.
Good clean rooms. WiFi now has a free tier. Restaurant actually knows how to cook a steak. Service can sometimes be a tad spotty but the food and drinks make up for it.
I called to get reimbursement for a night I did not stay. I had thought I had canceled but when I saw the charge on my card, I called to see if they could reimburse half, given we didn't stay there. I realized my mistake and checked records to see if I had the cancellation. I had booked at another hotel too and canceled that. They were not full, because I didn't book too far in advance and there were plenty of rooms left. They didn't even reimburse halfway. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think I will ever stay at another Hyatt. I was honest and I realize I made a mistake, and they have a cancellation policy, but goodwill? Disappointed and I will be sure to avoid this chain. By the way, the Marriott was amazing this past year when we had to cancel within the cancellation time period when we had a death in the family. We had to re-book two times because the services changed. THEY WERE AMAZING. and they didn't charge us a dime. They will continue to get my service.
Do Not Use this hotel if you are in need of a block of rooms for an event. I had an event next door at the Windwatch Golf and Country club - which was excellent BUT the HYATT where I had booked a block of rooms and sent out literature about it with my invitations said they had fired their previous indiv. who was resp for booking the rooms and they had no record of my room block. I had guests from all over the country with no place to stay and they were decidedly un helpful and rude. I was later told by an employee that there was a local wedding that occurred with little notice and all the hotel rooms were given to this wedding group regardless of bookings b/c they had been given double the room fees - HORRIBLE
this is about the phone service. i called to ask for a folio. 3 times i pressed 6 to reach accounting. each time it rang once - sounded like it was picked up and then hung up. tried to reach the operator by pushing 0. 3 times i was routed back to the disembodied voice 'thank you for calling the hyatt. please press zero for the operator'. uh yea. that worked. called back again and pushed 5 - for sales. wow! someone answered-go figure. nick said he'd transfer me to accounting. someone named tova's voice mail came on. don't know if she is in accounting or not. i left a message. i'm not feeling lucky that i'll ever get that frickin folio. :l
Mark of Elegance was very professional and helpful with our wedding transportation search. Pricing seems middle of the pack with above average service.
