Beautiful hotel unfortunately we didnt get the room we were booked and we were lied to by staff. Change the staff and 5 stars would be appropriate

They gave away my room. My flight got in late and by the time I got there it was about 3 AM. They put me in a hospitality lounge until about 8. I then was given a room that was not as nice as what i had reserved and had less than 1 hour to get ready for business meetings all day. I was not told about any of the services of the hotel. Other guests had to tell me about the buffet breakfast. The breakfast was nice, and the parking was nice though.
Great hotel, beautiful interiors. The workout room on level C is fantastic and they offer free coffee there as well. A good experience if you are in the area
Comfortable rooms, very convenient amenities, and courteous staff. Compared to some of the other hotels in the area, it's hard to beat this one. Bar and restaurant inside as well as a small shop for snacks, toiletries, etc.
Room was great, staff was friendly. The elevators were unbearably slow, especially trying to go up from the fitness center. Speaking of which, the fitness center had quality equipment that was not taken well care of. Many of the weight machines did not have the selector stock for weights, so they were being constantly stolen from another machine allowing only a handful of them to be used simultaneously. Otherwise, a great stay
Im really impressed and thrilled I chose this hotel while visiting Long island, It was priced slightly higher than some of the competitor, but as soon as I drove into the lot, I knew I had made a good choice. The staff in the lobby were very friendly including the Front Desk Office Manager Jessica. She was very courteous, friendly and didnt hesitate a second to offer a coupon for dinner and free wifi password. Already a netter deal than the competitors. Before I booked what sealed the deal for me was compared to all the other hotels this one seemed to be the most modern with a nice social ambiance in a bar and restaurant scene. I scanned the menu, and the steak caught my fancy. Sure enough when I went down for dinner, John ( I think that was his name, stocky gent with shaved head) highly recommended the Sirloin Steak. Everything falling into place. I had the Steak, and my partner had the swordfish special. Food was really tresLicious. Really really happy I made the right choice and choice Hyatt. Regency Long Island. Thanks Jesicca for setting the mood for the weekend.
Went for prom. Lovely looking venue, food was delicious.
A nice hotel it seems to be business people during the week with weddings on the weekends. Furniture was being updated when I was here last.
Good Rooms, fast Internet, great if you are on a Biz Trip
Great place to stay with convenient access to highways. Staff was professional, friendly, and helpful.
Very clean and comfortable. My room location was not optimal due to noise level
(Near service area.)
Very nice and clean rooms. Bar was lively but not too crowded
The room I had was very comfortable but the bathroom had mold in the shower. The room numbers that were printed on the wall near the elevator we're no longer there so it was almost impossible to find your room on any floor. I spoke to the employees about this and tried to talk to a Hispanic woman who was part of the cleaning crew but she spoke zero English and looked at me like I was rude for not speaking Spanish. Muy Poquito espanol senorita I am in America you need to learn to speak English if you're working in America. I was also unhappy with the prices of the food in the little convenience shop that the Hyatt Regency has Inside the Hotel they had bottles of water for $9
Nice large rooms with expected amenities. Great service at the included restaurant and bar. Beautiful grounds and quiet area.
The hotel has been renovated. The rooms are very nice the service was great. This was my 4th stay this year. The food is good.
The wedding area was beautiful. The food was terrific. The bars.were great. The hotel was so clean and the bathrooms were beautiful.
I liked the hotel, good facilities and very good service from the staff. Breakfast is good, but could be improved by the price you pay.
Best service I have received at a Hyatt as an Explorist member. Not only did I receive an immediate upgrade for being Explorist, I was also given an amenity (red wine) and a free upgrade to executive suite (normally only available to Globalist members).
The room service was also delicious. Well worth the stay!
The location was nice, fair parking. The rooms were small, but provided everything needed for a 1 night stay (how long I stayed). The food at the Nu Restaurant was also very good, and a good portion for the price. Overall, 4 stars.
Great front desk staff! They were very attentive when I checked in and provided me with complementary amenities that I needed. Rooms were nice and fairly spacious. Wi-Fi speeds were good to get work done in the room.
Only came for a conference but it's a pretty nice place!
Very welcoming hotel. The entire premises was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Despite many people around for a convention, never felt crowded. Lots of parking, easy to get in and out.
Wonderful room\s with fantastic bed. Service was great. The breakfast was at top notch. 5 stars.
Started rough, they didn't have our reservation. They shot up from there worked hard to fix it and sent some fruit and wine to the room. Isabelle Choi at the desk was great.
Very nice rooms and friendly staff. Food is alot better than most hotels too
I attended a fall Market training event at this hotel. Parking was ample, service was excellent and the food was fresh.
Coincidently there was an incident at this hotel the first time we tried to stay for the night of our 10yr anniversary and my wife's recovery from back surgery. I tried to call and visit the manager Yasir 6 times so we could discuss our options going forward and he he NEVER call me back. Terrible management!!
Where do I even start with my experience...
I was at the Hyatt Regency Long Island for 2 weeks for a business trip, so naturally things will come up---a 2 week experience is hard to perfect. I have worked in customer service all my life, so I give plenty of understanding and leniency as well.
Started with the hotel insisting they needed my personal credit card to hold even though I literally had the information for my business' card.
Then, the pool was closed for the entire 2 weeks, something about a pump needing order. Okay, completely understandable even though disappointing.
About a week into my trip, the heat went out in my room. I requested maintenance, which they said would be there within 15 minutes. 50 minutes later, my room was still cold and no one had came to check it out! Finally got maintenance to my room, he took a look at it, reset it, and told me that if the heat hadn't kicked in within 10 minutes I'd need a new room. Guess what, it didn't kick in. ALRIGHT, super frustrating, but again, things happen. So I call, they acted confused like they didn't know how to handle the situation. I requested another room on the same floor since I had to move everything. I also requested a cart sent to my room so I could transport.
When the cart arrived, it was delivered by a tall man dressed in black who wouldn't take his sunglasses off---being a petite woman alone, you could see how this concerns me. Nevertheless, I let him enter with the cart. He them looked around and said "You had a lot of stuff" (DUH I was there for 2 weeks!!!) and then said he'd just leave it there and I'd be able to move my stuff back and forth all evening...by myself, because he left. Before he left, he did give me a $50 voucher---thanks, I did appreciate the gesture.
HOWEVER, when I went to use that voucher that's when I started losing my cool. I ordered a steak, because why not get the $40 steak when it's "on the house". The Medium-Rare steak was given to me, after waiting over 20 minutes, cooked through to Well Done. I sent it back and it returned appropriately cooked, but they had ran out of asparagus and gave me some backup vegetables they had around. Fine. I had a beer with the steak and when it came time for the check, which totaled out to about $52, I asked for my beer to be put on a separate bill, as I'm sure is not uncommon for someone on a business trip. They separated and I gave them my voucher, expecting to owe around $2. They told me they were unable to do that, the voucher could only be used once and not applied across the 2 bills, that were only split on paper for my records. So basically, if I had used the voucher to buy a sleeve of Oreos from the Corner Store, that would have been it?!? Awesome hospitality, sorry you couldn't accommodate that small request.
THEN, to add insult to injury, on my final day staying there, I got out of training early, so why not go back to the room and take a nap? I'll tell you why---because they, without announcement, were testing their alarm/intercom system (the intercom didn't work by the way). After it tested twice, I called down to see what was going on. They said they were testing, no apologies, no further explanation. Fine. It stopped going off, so I decided to follow through with my plans. Lucky me, I got woken up 45 minutes later by it going off AGAIN. I was so frustrated that I left the hotel for the remainder of the evening, in which other guests told me they continued to test throughout the day.
Aside from the shotty customer service, the place just didn't hold up to the expectation of a Hyatt. There were stains all over the carpets on my floor and the carpet wasn't even secure flat down, so the cart would get caught or I would trip over the folds. Oh, and they had a dangerous elevator who's doors would OPEN UP BEFORE THE ELEVATOR WAS DONE MOVING.
All in all, not a good experience. I stayed at a Best Western on my drive back home and the service was significantly better than what I had just received.
Very comfortable & extremely accommodating. The front desk manager went out of his way to help when there was a problem with our reservation !!!
Rooms are very clean and the service is always at top notch. The breakfast was awesome. Recommended.
I love this hotel. I use it as a getaway from Brooklyn for my two daughters who are 8 and 5 (we've been going since they were 6 and 3). A few times a year we stay for a Saturday night to go swimming, get room service and explore the hotel. The staff is always incredibly friendly to us. One visit they surprised us with "Long Island Iced Teas" for the kids - which were blue drinks with no alcohol obviously. Another visit a staffer ran into us in the hall, noted our room # and came back with a handful of candy bars. We ate them while we were playing cards with the free deck that they gave us in the gift shop. The indoor pool is perfect for small kids as it is 4.5 deep at its deepest. The area around the pool has plenty of lounge seating and tables and a glass ceiling and walls so you can see outside. There is also a hot tub. After we swim we order room service. The food is pricey, but it's solid. I usually keep it simple and get a pizza, salad, calamari and mac n cheese. Everything is always great. On our last visit we were celebrating my sister's birthday and I secretly asked them to deliver an Ice Cream Sundae 15 minutes after our meal arrived and they absolutely nailed it. They wrote "Happy Birthday" in chocolate sauce and sprinkles on one plate and had the sundae and a birthday candle on another plate. Lastly, they are always accommodating with adjoining rooms and early/late check in/checkout. We'll be back many more times!
Nice beds, quiet room. Went for wedding so was tired afterwards.
Me and 60 other guests were at the Hyatt for a formal event and the service was great. The staff were friendly and the service was superb. We had a great time and would recommend for bi gatherings and events.
Good place to go to for a trade show. The steak was a little tough at the buffet.
Breakfast is very nice especially omelette
Recommended place
The hotel was clean, but a little dated. Overall a good experience.
The rooms are very nice. Just don't look behind the night stand.
The Hyatt was exceptionally clean, and the rooms were very nice. It was a bit on the pricier side but not terribly so. The hotel staff were very friendly and easy to work with!
Rooms are nice, only thing missing is a microwave. Ashley the waitress was great
Great location, comfortable beds, delicious free coffee in the morning, friendly staff.
Really nice looking but... Took about 5 minutes for the shower water to heat up. It fooled me as the water was initially hot then turned cold - while standing naked in the shower wondering if it will ever get cold. The lighting by the sink is poor. I used the flashlight on my cell phone to shave by. Everything else was fine. Bed was good. Room was spacious. Service was courteous.
Had to drop off a delivery from a guest who ordered from an app. When one of the employees asked if I can drop it off to the specific room the guy at the front desk with a nasty attitude told me NO YOU CANT DROP IT OFF TO THE ROOM. IT S FOR SECURITY, THANKS. Was it really necessary to be that rude about it? Every hotel is different with their policy on food delivery. He could have said it more professional and not degrade people. Relax, dude. Have a twix.
If you want to get away from the city and relax , this is the place , its quiet , the staff are very friendly and welcoming, try it out , I bet you will never regret it , also get the breakfast , its good
Very nice hotel. In very quite area. Nice trails at Hidden Pond Park to run on right next to hotel.
Splendid looking, very polite staff throughout, room large, clean and comfortable, awesome jacuzzi, with nice indoor pool and fitness center. Rates very good against nearby alternatives.
Great stay. Very clean room....Thanks Rosa! Only issue was TV problems with satellite.
Beautiful hotel, the staff is so friendly and the room was impeccable. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area and would even prefer to stay here even if the event I was visiting had a closer hotel. Thank you, Hyatt.
I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Island. The rooms are very nice and clean and the service was excellent. My only complaint was I ask for early check-in and I did not receive that also there was no breakfast included with my room and the buffet breakfast is overly expensive, $20 per person otherwise I would recommend it Hyatt
First class service, great rooms and great amenities.
I didn't stay a night. I went there to attend a business meeting, but the staff was so helpful and friendly. Plus, the hotel is rather beautiful.
Nice grounds. Bar was cozy. Room was large and bed comfortable.
We stayed for a wedding. Beautiful hotel that guest from 5 weddings staying there yet everything ran smoothly. Beautiful view of Long Island, you can see the sound in the distance. Rooms are big, nice and modern.
Excellent the hotel is super quiet and very cozy it has a very good location I love it, the bed and the room was clean, but the pool was cold, but the hotel itself is good.
The hotel is beautiful. Room was nice. Breakfast buffet is incredible for a hotel. Very nice experience!
Always love staying here... It's well located, quiet, and the staff is great!
Hotel was clean, room was clean. We were on the 4th floor and the room wasn't sound proof at all. We were periodically woken up by children in the room next door, people walking the halls, etc. Furthermore, housekeeping started knocking on doors at like 9am when checkout isn't until 11. Which would be fine if the rooms were more sound proof, but in this case we got pretty poor sleep. Not a great hotel experience.
Decent. Housekeeping is a bit lacking in common areas. One of the elevators was down all 3 days I was there. Still good.
All I want to say is, the rooms are not clean enough. I had to change room (hadn't been vacuumed or dusted). They need a new house cleaning team! Aside from that, It was good. Dinner was very good. Coffee was too strong for me.
I usually stay at The Marriott hotels, I guess I'm spoiled.
5 star all the way! the staff are extremely helpful and friendly ")
I haven't stayed, my sister works there but its a very nice hotel
Was at a large event. cocktail hour was unimpressive. Dinner no better. Medium rare is the new well done. Bartending staff was not trained properly. table staff not much better.
