My husband and I booked a group room block for our wedding. From the very beginning we've had nothing but issues. Our account was handled by four different people over the course of the year. As the cutoff date got closer guests called to make reservations and were told they could get rooms cheaper outside the block leaving us to pay for extra rooms even though we had enough guests to meet our quota. When guests arrived they were given either the same room, or rooms with other guests not in our party already occupying the room. My husband and I booked the suite. Somehow in all the madness of my bridal party getting ready in our room the bedroom door got locked and closed. As our wedding ran late, we didn't realize we were locked out of our bedroom until about 2:30AM. When we called the front desk we were told there was nothing they could do as engineering didn't come in until 6:30AM. We had to spend our wedding night sleeping on a couch with no access to a bathroom as our bathroom was attached to the bedroom. How does a hotel not have something so simple available 24/7?! The next morning after a horrible nights sleep we packed up all our belongings after finally being allowed into the bedroom and didn't make it down for breakfast until 11:35 where we weren't even greeted with a hello but instead got told "We're closed!" When I asked where we could eat the woman just walked away instead of informing us the upstairs restaurant was now open. Later that night once we got home I realized I had left my laptop in the safe in our room. How was I never called and told there was something left behind, was it just so housekeeping would hope I wouldn't realize and could steal my laptop? I called the hotel at 10:30pm and asked if my laptop was found. I was told that the housekeeping supervisor was gone for the day and told to call back tomorrow. I told the woman who answered the phone that was an ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE answer and asked her to go check herself, which she did. She told me my laptop was there but that I couldn't come pick it up until tomorrow morning. Again, how do you not have something like this available 24/7? My husband and I travel a lot and after this experience we will never stay in a Hyatt again. This was the absolute worst experience of my life.
