4 visits to the service department with a check en...

4 visits to the service department with a check engine light and a whine under the hood on 2016 Nissan Titan XD Diesel with 16k miles. After the 3nd visit (3 hours in the waiting room each visit so 12 in total) I became frustrated that they didn't fix anything and just reset the light and told me everything would be fine, and if it came on again they would give me a loaner and then spend more diagnostic time.

Well the light came on again a week later, but this time truck went into limp mode getting off the hwy during rush hour in CHS, so a small issue has now turned into a safety issue. Thank god I was only a mile from this dealer so I limp it in. They gave me a loaner titan while they finally take the time to figure out the issue. This was a thursday, they tell me they will let me know Friday what issue issue is. I have to call them on Friday evening and they need a part and I should have the truck Monday by COB. Mid-day Monday, they let me know the part is on backorder with no ETA on the part. So I go into the dealer to talk with the service manager or operations manager to try get an ETA and they send the tech out to tell that he is waiting on a part, so I take the opportunity ask him why he didn't fix it the last 3 times I brought it in, and while I was frustrated with tech, I never raised my voice, cussed or personally attacked the tech and but told the service manager Ben that I was going to leave a negative review of my experience. He then told his operations manager that I "abused, threatened and cussed at his staff" and tells me if "I dont like their service I needed to take my truck somewhere else". I have never heard someone blatantly lie about something like this before, I was shocked. So realizing that I was not going to get any more help and being told to take my car somewhere else for warranty work, I called a flatbed truck ($90) and took it to the north charleston store and hope that I can get better service there. This has ruined my vacation since I can't take pets in the loaner or drive over 150 miles away from CHS. The cherry on the cake was they offered to change my fuel filters for $429 dollars, a quick google search showed the filters are $80 dollars and it's a 20 minute process to install them. Total stealership.

They were real and did not have any pretense interms of how they spoke to us and handled everything involved with selling us a certified preowned Nissan Versa Note. I was not bombarded with high pressured sales tactics and last minute price hikes. Furthermore, Ron could not have been better at working with us and taking us through paperwork. So thank you to Melanie, Ryan and Ron. If you want to leave satisfied without wondering if you should have looked around more, Charleston Nissan is a great option. Ask for Melanie Bell. She made buying a car a pleasure.

for the third time here is my review. Bought a new truck (FACTS), brought it home and wife instantly noticed what we thought was a stain in backseat (FACTS). Since they were closed at that point I called the next morning to the service department to bring it to their attention (FACTS). Was informed that I could bring it in when I got the car serviced for its initial oil change if that was ok or they could get me in sooner (FACTS). None of us thought it was a big deal so I agreed to just have them look at it when I brought it in.

During the time prior to my first service appointment I started having issues with my car stalling (Battery connection), some issues with the sensors randomly turning on and off, a issue with the RPM's and just odd electrical issues (FACTS). When I brought it in for my service they said it was a connection issue with my battery, an exposed wire and there was a recall on some sort of electrical thing. They mentioned harness but it was something related to that. They fixed the battery issue and exposed wiring which seemed to fix my sensors and the RPM issue and had to order parts for the recall item (FACTS). They inspected the back seat and the stain and hired someone to come out and clean it. The stain did not come out. James in service (Great guy) Apologized and said next week when it comes for the recall issue they will take care of the seat. (FACTS)

Brought truck in the following Monday. Wednesday they called and said recall work was done. I asked about the stain and James said its out, I just checked myself (FACTS). I came in and picked it up and instantly checked the back seat. Stain still there. James said sir I promise it looked to be gone when i text you. He stated I could leave it again and that he hired 2 separate companies to get the stain out (FACTS). I couldnt leave it again. My salesmen Jeff (AMAZING guy) was following along with the progress and said pull truck around. He found that it wasnt a stain but actually the seat fabric stretching and coming apart. He went in and got the sales manager. Manager came out and said he would send pictures to nissan and mentioned possibility of swapping me into another vehicle if need be. I was told he would call me when they figured out best option. I never heard back from him but did get a call from Clay. (FACTS). Clay said he would look into swapping me out.

Fast forward to a few days later. Got an offer sent to me. They offered me $5500 less for my truck to be traded in than I paid 4 months earlier and offered me a 2021 Titan for $45,235. Now that exact Truck (Matched VIN) is listed on their Website for $40,877. This would take my loan from $39,500 to $50,200. (Facts as I have pictures of the offer). So why did they try to sell me a truck for 5K more than any new customer would pay at most (if they didnt negotiate). So now I have a truck that has had electrical issues (multiple but fixed) (FACTS) and a bad interior fabric on back seat (not fixed FACTS) and I have owned it for 4 months and Hudson keeps removing my review informing everyone of the FACTS. Honestly I just want my seat fixed and them to stand behind their 4 month old product. I will be contacting corporate with all the texts Ive received from the salesmen who has been updating me along the way.

Great people, great place, and great experience! Syed the salesman was cool and down to earth. I even had lunch with him. It felt like it was an informal business meeting but yet an old friend kind of lunch meeting. Where you haven't seen that friend in a while. The manager Mike was cool as all get out!!! Thanks Mike for not being one of those stick in the mud managers. The finance guy, Ron! What can I say other than awesome!!! The people seemed to care but I know they had a job to do but that didn't stop them from being pretty cool.

I was very happy that the guy checking me in looked for additional savings for me to take advantage of. I waited for my vehicle and even had time for enjoyable reading until the car was done. I appreciate the time, energy and effort of those working in the shop area. I am hugely disappointed that the oil changes could not be Distance based rather than Time imposed limits. Because of this I will not plan on returning to Hudson Nissan for future oil changes unless I am in the immediate vicinity and there is good availability.

I had a very pleasant experience when I had my vehicle serviced at Charleston Nissan. Jim was very attentive and explained things clearly so I was aware of what was going on through out the entire process. The only complaint I have is with the wait time to have my vehicle cleaned, which I will add I was told about and given a choice of up front. I chose to wait for my vehicle to be cleaned which took a little over an hour longer. In my opinion it really wasn't worth the wait. I will definitely return for future services.

Salespeople can be pushy and you sometimes have to repeat yourself several times about what you want. Not with Melanie! I was looking forward to doing business with Hudson Nissan as they are close to my residence and were highly reviewed. I went in to the Showroom in an attempt to purchase a Titan Pro-4x from Greg Gould, a sales rep. After trying to reach a reasonable price for the truck, I was laughed at as Greg walked away. I m assuming he thought I wouldn t notice as he hurried off to grab the finance manager but it was quickly noted. The finance manger himself was slightly more willing to work with me but we still could not reach a good price point for the truck in question. Just based off the rude and arrogant behavior which was displayed, I am no longer interested in doing business with Hudson Nissan and will be finding another Nissan Dealer to make my purchase and future purchases with.

Do not get your car from here. They sold me a car that has ultimately has been falling apart since i left the lot. Did they do a great job at selling a hunk of junk to someone who didn't know better, yes. Was the car completely rusted out but they covered with paint, yes. Has the cars transmission been an issue and when taking back for a checkup nothing gets fixed, yes. Have the interior lights not been fixed after being taken back to their shop, correct. Ultimately, if you want to waste some money. This is the place to go. Hope this helps someone out.

I was told by client retention specialist that the dealership had the car I wanted with all the features I asked for and he would set me up with a salesman. I was sent a video by this salesman and again told the car had all features requested. I also gave salesman trade info and credit info and was told this would be a quick easy process. I arrived at the dealership for the appointment scheduled and found that the car did not come with all features requested. The salesman assigned also had two other customers in the middle of purchasing and due to a family emergency passed us to another salesman. This salesman was not given any of our info and had to start from scratch with everything. The finance department had two different employees giving us two different sets of numbers and playing games for hours. We finally agreed on a price only to get to finance and these numbers had changed yet again. We arrived at the dealer at 3:30pm and left at 8pm. It felt as if we were getting the run around the whole time and being left to wait so we would get tired of waiting. Very frustrating process and i had a positive experience 2 years prior when it was Charleston Nissan. Very disappointing

Came in for an oil change . When I purchased my vehicle I had lifetime oil change. Today I was told my lifetime oil change was not honored. I was told I needed a lifetime oil change card from when I purchased my vehicle which I never heard of or got. Have been receiving my regular oil change for free since 2011 . Each time I came in all they had to do was look up my info on their computer . Today none of this was done and I was turned away. Purchased 5 vehicles from Hudson Nissan I guess I won t be coming back to this place again!!!

Charleston SC Nissan is organized and I do believe they do good work and know their job. However, they are trained to sell above all else. They won't even just look at your car without charging 150.00. Every estimate no matter how small the problem is 150.00. They then use multiple sales techniques to try to get you to agree to the estimate. If you don't, they act shocked that you are not going through with the job and pretend they already ordered all the parts. Why would they order the parts before you agree to have them do the work? Indeed, do your research and get other quotes. They are very overpriced and use their organized and skillful sales techniques to their advantage and to your disadvantage.

I wasn't quite sure what type of vehicle I wanted, but had heard so many good things about Nissan. My husband and I decided one evening after work to take a drive over to Morris Nissan and look at the new 2015 Sentra and Altima and see if we liked it. We arrived at the dealership just before closing time. Amanda Stacks approached us with a friendly smile and immediately went to work and showed us both vehicles. She put them side by side and showed us the differences etc. The whole experience was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to explain any questions etc. She let us take the Altima home for the night . The next morning after I fell in love with the car I got on the website and looked at the inventory and found the color and features of the car I wanted. Sent Amanda a text and she got those keys and pulled that car for me and was ready when we arrived at the dealership. Never once did she or anyone else at Morris Nissan become "pushy". We were in and out driving our brand new car in less than 2 hours. I purchased my car from Morris Nissan in 2009. I've remained a customer despite change in ownership until now. During my recent service, I made an appt and still waiting hours to get my car back. I was told I needed a major repair which I repaired at my expense outside of Nissan in 2017. I know because I ordered the parts through Amazon and confirmed this purchase two days ago. Your service department is slow, overpriced, and only interested in how much money you can make off of customers. As I have a 2009, I will no longer bring my car in for service at Hudson Nissan - Charleston Nissan or whatever this business name is. Loyalty means nothing to your company. Your interested in pure profit over reputation. Additionally, I was told my lug nuts were stripped - ( I requested my tires be rotated). It took over an hour to get lug nuts; I had to pay essentially $10 a lug nut which is highway robbery AND I had no options as you had my car up on the rack with the tires off. How was the mechanic able to remove my lug nuts but not put them back on and how do I know the technician wasn't the one who stripped them? Regardless, all of this. I will not be back; I will not recommend your dealership; I will not purchase another Nissan from your company. End of story.

After deciding to look at getting two vehicles at this dealership my wife and I bought one vehicle and while looking for a second vehicle we were told we couldn t get another used vehicle because the manager wouldn t allow it because it would be two unlocked prices. I was then told I would be better fit for a Nissan Titan but I informed a few times I don t need a brand new truck.

I was then sent an email by I assume a couple managers and a customer specialist and I responded to Mr. Ryan and the customer specialist with the following email:

Hey Ryan,

I did request information on this vehicle but after the purchase of my wife s vehicle there a couple days ago I was told I would be better suited for a Nissan Titan and unfortunately I wasn t interested with that. They mentioned I owed to much on my current truck, that they would use the lowest of my and my wife s credit scores essentially and well that was not true, something along the lines of because my wife purchased a used vehicle with an unlocked price they wouldn t do that twice. We were trying to purchase the two vehicles at the same time and we kind of ran out of time but not before we were told that I couldn t get into the suburban for the same price as my wife although the vehicle was basically the same price as the one we purchased for her.

Typically finance companies use transition in the northeast but down here is usually equifax. I assume they did that to get us to pay the higher note as well as the higher interest rate for her vehicle. She wanted that so we got what she wanted. None the less I am assuming that vehicle can not be purchased due to being an unlocked price and at the same cost a month as my wife s car so unless that can change there isn t much else we could do. I have since looked a couple other places for a Tahoe or Suburban but thought Nissan would be a better choice since the vehicle she and I purchased were from a Nissan dealership.

I do appreciate the follow up email. My wife is very pleased with her vehicle.

I am yet to see a response since January 12th but did however receive a phone call asking us for $47.00 because they are short $47.00? I don t know if they are wanting to sell vehicles or just in need of $47.00 but I don t know what signing a contract is if you will require additional money.

Ok. First, I had an appointment that I was on time for. I stood in front of the service desk for several minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Then, the person who did see me said he d help me but he was on his way out. The guy next to him had helped 2 different men who had walked in after me and was busy chatting about Rolex watches while I waited. A woman came through with papers in her hands and went to stand behind a desk looking very flustered. I waited some more. Finally a man who was walking through asked if I had been helped and took my keys and tagged my car. I told him I had an appointment for the 25000 oil change. He said they would do the 25000 service. (NO asking my name or looking at what I had scheduled or telling me that there was a tire rotation included in what was going to be done). I went to the waiting area and sat down. I waited about 90 minutes in a waiting area with such strong gasoline fumes that I developed a serious headache. Finally my car was done and the woman told me that I had to pay for the tire rotation. I told her that I had not made an appointment for anything other than the oil change. I paid and was directed across the parking lot to my car. I opened the door and the plastic was on the seat and the paper mat was on the floor and was covered in dirt. The car smelled very strongly of gasoline as well. I gathered up the plastic and paper mat and had to walk it all the way back to the garbage can in the service area. My car had not been washed or vacuumed (because even the service stuff wasn t taken out).
It took me a full 24 hours to get rid of the headache.
This is the second new car I ve purchased at this location and I won t be back.

Never has a car buying experience left me So satisfied! I literally cannot say enough about the professional, friendly, personal treatment given to me by the team at Hudson Nissan of Charleston Chris Classen, our sales agent, was and still is the epitome of what every sales person should aspire to be! He was kind, accommodating and at every moment aspired to make sure that me and my two young boys were having a great experience. Any mother can imagine the expected amount of stress related to taking a 10-year-old and 7-year-old boys to go car shopping. However, stress was the only thing missing from this car buying experience! I cannot thank Chris Classen enough. I should also mention that Eddie Nuttall , the finance manager, also gifted me with the most stress-free, seamless, no pressure financing experience I have ever had at a car dealership! He was kind and treated me and my boys as people and not numbers. Working with Marcello was truly such a pleasure. Having been in customer service myself for many years, I have high expectations and he truly surpassed them. Heading into a warranty repair, I was prepared to have to advocate for myself to have it covered. Not only was it covered thanks to his expertise and diligence, but I was in and out of the service department quickly at both drop off an pick up (something that is SO important to me as a working mother). They even supplied a loaner at no cost, which took immense pressure off of the situation and allowed the technicians time to do the work. Thank you, thank you to Marcello and the team. You have absolutely changed my perceptions of dealership service for the better. I wouldn't hesitate to share this wonderful experience with others.

WATCH OUT WHEN YOU WALK IN THE DOOR THE PRICE YOU SAW ONLINE WILL HAVE 2-4000 DOLLARS ADDED TO IT!!! We saw a price online for a car that we would like. And when we walked in the door they wanted to charge 3000 extra dollars for the car right off the bat. And then once we had negotiated a final price sales manager who we had briefly met before came in and told us our deal was valid. The general manager did call me a little while ago to try to clarify everything and ease my worries about the dealership. Which I greatly appreciate and he was a nice guy. But the fact remains that on a big price item like that any fees and taxes need to be included in the price. Because they can easily exceed $1,000. We would have paid the price the car was advertised at. The dealership wouldnt have lost money. Im sorry but i know theres a fairly large profit margin from dealers selling a used car. Loosing a $11,800 over some fees and taxes wouldnt be worth it to me to loose the repeat business and customer satisfaction someone gets feeling like they got a good deal. Would love to change this to a happy review if we could just get the car for what it was advertised at.
