Upscale, beautiful hotel in downtown Palermo close to many shops, restaurants and a pedestrian area that is bustling at night. Hotel is exactly what you want in a classical, Italian style. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The only place I will ever stay in Palermo!

Shown as 4 star but in reality ...NOT. Bedroom not ready on arrval; no service at breakfast; no bath as ordered (I.e. shower only & a por one at g
that); overcharged on bar bills (only 20 , but it is unnecessary!). The hotel is really a "tourist bus group" 3 star hotel.

Classic elderly 5 star hotel in the city center, close to shopping and restautants. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Elegant hotel located in the city center very convenient for visiting the main churches and monuments of the city within easy walking distance. Refined furnishings and courtesy of the staff. Good and abundant breakfast.

An old 5 star hotel, well maintained, with all the comforts of today, entering is to enter the halls of a palace of the 800.
Clean and spacious, attentive and friendly staff, very well located in the center near everything.

With such potential we could do more and better. Lack of attention to detail that eventually makes the difference. TV system from the 70s, internet connection as well, breakfast just enough. Too bad because the location and above all the history of the building would deserve more.

Everything went well, the reception, the room, the cleaning, the order, the breakfast and finally the silence.
In particular, my room was the 216, facing a courtyard it was very quiet, it was spacious, the comfortable bed where I rested well.

The good: the location is convenient and central. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is elaborate.
The bad: The hotel is very old and traditional, which may not be your thing. Windows are thin, so you can hear the street noise. The internet is a bit slow, but acceptable. It gets very hot in the breakfast area.
The ugly: the showers are terrible, going from hot to cold and back in seconds. I'd say they're a hazard for young children who may burn themselves.

Old school hotel done in the roccoco style. Service very average, quite run down. Novelty factor of feeling like you're staying in the 16th century!

Hotel that in my opinion does not deserve 5 stars, for a luxury hotel if you arrive in your room you will find everything you need, from the kettle and coffee machine, to the welcome kit, I had to go down to ask what a hotel must and I say must offer luxury and which among other things is in their advertising. Let's talk about the breakfast, very poor with discount products, yogurt, dried fruit, eggs especially, not very fresh, tetrapak fruit juice, in short ... but it must also be said that all the staff are wonderful , an impeccable kindness and professionalism, which warms your heart and maybe passes the forgetfulness of the management. A special thanks to Roberto for his valuable advice, but above all thanks to Paolo and Davide who made me feel special, if I return to Palermo I will choose the same hotel only thanks to them.

More appearance than being. This hotel is run down. The staff rude and not competent. The good times of this house are definitely over. It is loud and in a plain side street, located near the harbor. Not recommendable!!

Spend 4 nights in a sublime way ... small problems have occurred with TV and water leakage in the bathroom but the solutions have been immediate ... because of this efficiency the 5 stars are well deserved. Great professionalism and kindness from all the staff. Highly recommended !!!

Beautiful location in the center of Palermo, friendly and knowledgeable staff

I have stayed several times in this hotel. Elegant but not spacious rooms, no electrical outlet in the bathroom, little light in the room, if you are staying as a couple there is no way to put two suitcases (I had to keep mine on the ground ,, even the Beaty) not rich breakfast and poorly organized, nice staff but not careful, I had to point out that the drinking water was over and at the reception they were wrong to make the bill. It could be a five star hotel but it is not. Value for money, good.

I'm not sure I can call this place 5-star, as some other promotional materials have, unless it's the year 1983. This place feels like some sort of mobster fever dream of what the 1920's might have been like. The only things missing are the plastic dust covers on the furniture and bowls of fake fruit. Despite that, I'd still recommend this a place to stay. It's in a good location that allows for walking to lots of bars, restaurants, and shopping as well as local history and attractions. The rooms were comfortable, the shower was warm, and the bar staff was accommodating. One note: even if you're traveling alone, get a larger room than the single. It's pretty small and cramped.

I'm sorry but this is not a 5 star hotel, I travel for business and stay in hotels all the time and this one is really bad. Very small, stuffy rooms, falling apart, the linen smells like vinegar, nothing works(TV, lights, AC) Breakfast is just below 2 stars, found piece of cardboard or smthg in my capuccino, found hair in the apple pie, I mean, come on, get it together, I stayed in better hotels at the end of the world. Any Airbnb would be a better choice. Not to mention everyday there are some works/constructions being done, banging all day.

Pretty much the nicest hotel in Palermo. After a long hot day of touristing it is good to come back to a place that isn't old, falling down, broken, and filled with garbage like the rest of Palermo.

While I was there, the hot water stopped working for 6 hours, the free wifi internet went down for 48 hours, and they served spoiled milk in the breakfast buffet one time. But those things considered, this place is so much better than other accommodation in Palermo it's not even funny.

Well-kept rooms of a size that match the star category of the hotel. Because the hotel is not located directly on one of the main thoroughfares, it is sufficiently quiet for me at night, even though the windows - maybe for reasons of monument protection? - are old.

In my opinion, the breakfast is of a high Italian standard. Apparently there are not enough tables in the air-conditioned area, so it happened that some guests had to sit in the warm, sunny "winter garden" area.

The lobby is next to the entrance area, the bar is at the end of the lobby, so it was almost too quiet for me there when I wanted to have a final drink after visiting the restaurant in the evening. Maybe I was there at the wrong time of year?

The service was very attentive in all areas of the hotel, so I will definitely be happy to come back.

Bell the ljberty style hotel in the very center of Palermo in a truly super central location. The hotel is a 5 star so this basically says everything would need a little restiling especially for the external fixtures but it seems to live in the past in a Wagnerian atmosphere with stucco fixtures and curtains of the time. The staff super courteous and polite. Excellent super rich breakfast varied and treated in detail as the freshly made orange juice or cannoli to be filled available to customers. Excellent breakfast location on the top floor of the building with attached terrace. Highly recommended.

Access was good and convenient for sightseeing.

I happen to go to Palermo periodically for work and for me now this hotel has become the only choice.
Classic "De Charme" impact very far from my usual preference for ultra-modern comfort that I generally look for in hotels but, as often happens, people make the difference.
Here the proverbial Sicilian kindness is natural and never taken for granted: as soon as you get out of the taxi a nice attendant in livery comes to take your suitcase even if it is not particularly heavy.
Sincere gratitude to Davide at the reception who did not skimp on directions and drawings of maps to help me with patience, understanding and kindness to reach the places where I needed to go.
Admiration for Davide at breakfast who already remembered what he had to serve me on the second day and with a familiar smile he made me start the day well every morning.
In short, two Davide who already alone win any Goliath of the competition over the rest of the service which is still of a level.
I'll be back!

A nice hotel in the city center. Certainly a bit decadent, but not in the sense of old but classic. Friendly staff and, then, there is Palermo. Everything that is in Palermo deserves at least half a point more.

Really great hotel. Impeccable and professional staff. The cleaning of the room really top. For those who prefer the classic style it is really the top. Attic breakfast really assorted between salty and typical Italian sweet breakfast we find Sicilian cassata and fresh Sicilian cannoli to be filled at the moment !!! Really lustful! We recommend this property to all those who want to visit Palermo and return to their room at the end of the day and feel pampered by the many qualities of this fabulous hotel.

Wagner is a hotel located in the center of Palermo. It has an appearance of other times that you may like or not. Even the service gives the same impression. Overall the location is really great and the hotel offers a premium service, including breakfast. A few little updates would help anyway

Great location, but this grand hotel is past its prime. It has much of its majestic poise, but it is starting to show its age a little too much in some areas. Stay here if you're sentimental about the days gone by, or if you're into older architecture, but you're going to be left wanting if your thought was to book a modern hotel. It is relatively clean, and the buffet breakfast served on the top floor is more than adequate.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for over a week. While some may say that the furnishings are a bit drab, we didn't think so. After all, it is an old, historic hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good with a nice selection of fresh fruits, breads, meats, cheeses, etc. The staff was very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very good service. The fitness center was being renovated, but should be opened within a couple of weeks. The hotel made other arrangements so we could exercise. Highly recommend this hotel. Only criticism: no coffee/tea in rooms. Good location a block off the walking streets.
