I'm not sure I can call this place 5-star, as some other promotional materials have, unless it's the year 1983. This place feels like some sort of mobster fever dream of what the 1920's might have been like. The only things missing are the plastic dust covers on the furniture and bowls of fake fruit. Despite that, I'd still recommend this a place to stay. It's in a good location that allows for walking to lots of bars, restaurants, and shopping as well as local history and attractions. The rooms were comfortable, the shower was warm, and the bar staff was accommodating. One note: even if you're traveling alone, get a larger room than the single. It's pretty small and cramped.
