Honda of Hayward Service Department check-in wait time has significantly improved. I took my car in for A1 maintenance on November 3, 2019, and I was able to check my car in within 5 minutes of my arrival. Their check in time for customers with appointment is a lot better than what it use to be.

I came for oil change and tire rotation. I told Alisha that there is a leak on the right rear tire and to take a look at it. I was told I needed the 30K maintenance - I agree and paid $630.
After a few days my wife noticed the exact tire in the same spot leaking so obviously there was no rotation. I brought it back and they fixed it but the whole experience -
* the fact that the tires were never rotated
* Customer service is totally lacking from the rep, manager, cashier... Donna the shuttle driver was the only pleasant interaction.

We purchased a car last week and very pleased with the service they provided. Eugine was amazing. He went through the deal with patience. Addressed all our concerns. He made sure we were happy at the end. Ray his partner was very good too. He took us to another parking lot to show other cars and very nice with us. John the finance guy was also very very good. He took time to go through the contract, explain things and also he made us buy the extended warranty for good :)
What stood out was even though it was midnight, Eugine and John did not compromise on anything. They went over the whole process with energy. I would recommend this place to anyone anytime.
Drawbacks were: Emails were not answered sometimes and the finance was scheduled very late in the night.

I did a bunch of work these guys did not want to honor the coupons, and they did not test the car before, I had to drive it back to the honda service center and pay a big chunk of money before they fixed everything. Working with the service guys, I felt like I was being ripped off. They had a shady way of adding up the bill. I will never go here again for service.

I am a regular customer so I write this with deep concern. My appointment was scheduled at 11:40am. I waited in the car for more than 30 minutes for a team member to finally acknowledge me. After getting the primary inspection and my paperwork done so I can leave the car, Robert (the specialist) was very persistent about completing extra things to my car. Total ended up costing almost $300! After I thought it was settled I ended up waiting for 4 hours for what turned out to be a simple oil change, fluid change, and tire rotation. I ve done this before and the longest i ve waited was 1 hour. This was definitely my worst experience:

Just took my 17 Civic for oil change and tire rotation. The representative was nice and professional. He explained the service needs and proceeded with only the items requested. No unwanted sales pitch. That is always a good thing in my book.
Will be returning to future Maintenance on my Civic.

They lied about having a car, even after I had them send over a bill of sale and TOLD them I'd be coming in the next day to pay for the car.

Then later they magically "found" the car in their inventory. Took me in total like 7 hours to leave with the car even though I already had a check for everything made out.

These guys are rats, and I'd rather drink bleach and slit my eye balls with a lime-dipped razor blade than ever go back to this hellhole.

Only go here if you like being taken advantage of at every turn, and being lied to constantly. The manager is a huge liar, the finance people are the scum of the earth, and the salespeople are amongst the worst I've ever encountered.

AIR BAG RECALL WARNING! I brought my car to the service department in for passenger airbag inflator to be replaced. They did the work. I realized that the passenger dashboard indicator light was no longer functioning properly. I notified a service advisor and brought it in no later than a month after the did the work. They charged me a hefty diagnosis fee. They told me they fixed the problem. I told the the vehicle was doing the same thing. I asked them why the light would not remain off. They had to do some research and told me that it stays on for 5 seconds then turns off. It only illuminates if the seatbelt is latched and no weight is on the seat. I recall the light illuminated at all times except when someone was in the seat.

I have appointment with a saleman this Sunday with a confirmation with the director to test drive two cars. I have confirmed on Saturday that I would come, but when I showed up to the dealer, they told me both cars were sold, and the saleman confirmed to see me was gone and not at the dealer. If the cars were sold, at least let me know so I didn t have to drive almost 2 hours back and forth. What s the point of making appointment and then you didn t keep the appointment with your customers. So disrespectful and unprofessional!

I have no issues with the people who helped me there, but the prep and detailing of the car has some huge issues. I test drove late in the evening and I noticed what looked like bird droppings on the trunk. Turns out it was white enamel. In the daytime I discovered that the car including Windows had been over sprayed with clear coat. The first warm day I started smelling cigarette smoke. Normally, these things are done better. I was able to clean the Clear coat spots off of the windows and mostly took care of the white paint drops. I will have to pay to have the smell removed. When it's warm it is very smelly. The deodorizer covers it whenit'so cool. I really like the car, but the prep crew really failed this one at my expense.

I recently went to Honda of Hayward for A1 service (oil change and tire rotation) for my Honda Civic. My service advisor, Genaro, was great. He listened to my concern about my noisy windshield wipers and ensured that the technicians looked into, and fixed, the issue along with the great maintenance service. I always come to Honda of Hayward because of the service. I'm never sold on anything I don't need and always get great advice from the service advisors. Honda of Hayward keeps my beloved "Civvi" safe and reliable on the road.

I was deceived and lied to from day one. I was so excited to be able to get a car at a dealership for the first time. It turned out to be a nightmare. The Kelly blue book price I was showed really fast in passing was not the correct price. The contract I signed which I was deceived into signing says 38400 miles but carfax says it exceeds the mechanical limits which Honda says is a mistake. The reason I say I was deceived and signing the contract is because the tablet in front of me did not do anything except accept signatures. I was being read to from a desktop and what I was being read to my signature was according to that. So when I went back to get out of my contract they told me I had signed a waiver which is definitely not true. I have no idea why all of this happened that took place but I am really stressed I have been unable to sleep eat or even think straight. The interest rate was even lied about. And in the end they say I am to pay $17,000 for a $10,000 car. I cannot afford to pay that for $17,000 I could have went to another dealership or even that dealership and got a brand new car. I have went up there and spoke to managers a couple of times and no one seems to want to really help me solve this. But I will work with everything in me to get this resolved. I have been calling and leaving messages nobody's calling me back. But I have one up there so I'm going to do all the legal process that I need to do until this is resolved.

Alicia Bradshaw was my most recent service rep and she was super prompt and professional. As soon as I pulled in the lot she did not hesitate to come see what my car needed. I really love the whole staff at this location. I can t stress enough how kind all of them are. I purchased a 2017 Honda Fit from Kristoffer "KC" Cabanesas, a Honda Certified Sales Professional at Honda of Hayward, in March of this year. The car--well, what can I say? It's a Honda (and my first after years of desiring one)! After barely seven months on the road, I emerged uninjured from an accident when my car was rear-ended severely enough to push me into the car in front of me. Unfortunately, my new car, while keeping me safe and doing everything it was supposed to do, did not fare nearly as well. So, when the car was declared a total loss, I didn't have to think at all about what I would do, nor where I would go. I contacted KC Cabanesas right away. Within less than a day, he was back in touch with me, and had found my _new_ new Fit to get me back on the road.

No accident is ever fun, but when my auto insurance acted with great speed and efficiency in moving me forward, Honda of Hayward was there again, with all the friendliness, the courtesy, the professionalism, great price and overall wonderful experience. I certainly hope I don't need to return for another new car anytime soon--but, after I've driven my Fit to the Moon and back, I'll return again! There are bigger and better known Honda dealerships in the Bay Area, but Honda of Hayward has proven itself (again and again!) to be everything I need in an auto dealership and more!

I just had a great experience buying a car from Veronica at Honda of Hayward. We bought a used car and when she asked if we saw it online she gave us and additional 1,000 off the overall price. Johnny Phan the sales manager was very helpful in the negations and dealing with the trade in. We got what we wanted and overall the complete deal was 5 stars happy to say I highly recommend Johnny's team at Hayward Honda ;)

This gesture of goodwill, as well as the patience of the staff (we had two small children with us), made the buying experience a pleasure. Although they will try to get one over on you like all dealerships will, when you establish that you aren't a dumby, they will give you a good deal. Just make sure you read through everything they want you to sign and ask questions. They will give you a good deal and a good car. It might take a while so bring a book. Thanks again LC. In the future, please pay more attention and take more care with the person shopping for the car and not the family members or friends that came along. I felt like you were less interested in my sale and more interested in father's and grandfather's mikitmil experience. As a the customer, I would have appreciated more attention and care. However, thanks for the transparency.

Worst experience ever. This people gave me quote for the car which they did not have. Then promised me that they can arrange it. After running my credit they said they can not have that car so started offering other models and colors. Called me 2 times on showroom saying they have car ready and after reaching there said we have other colors available but not the one you want. Would not recommend ever.

I especially love the multi point inspection that they do with all types of services, including recalls.

I have a horrible experience on Aug 25 for one of your advisor named Oscar. I went there at 8AM for the servide of my Honda Odyssey. I told Oscar the problems with my car. One of it is the vibration on the wheels during braking on downhill and when braking at certain highway speed. Also, the left sliding door sometimes is not automatically get closed when pressing the button. He promised to get back to me if these problems are still under the existing warranty on my car. My car is just 2 yrs and have a 100-mile warranty. I also told him that my family will be travelling to LA on Aug 30 and hopefully these issues got addressed. Past 12 noon, i still didn't get any calls from him on any of the status of my car. Kept calling on the Service Dept but no one is answering when they transfer me to his line. I even left voice messages thought that he might be for lunch. I called again at 2PM when he finally answered the phone. Looks like he forgot to give me a call and he then told me that there was a problem on the rotor and he initially got a word from warranty dept that it's not covered but he's not sure about it so he told me that he will call the warranty dept again. He promised to get back to me asap. Unfortunately, that department is already close. I told him, he had 6 hours to confirm this, why only doing this now? He don't have any explanations on this. He promised to follow up it the next Monday (Aug 27). He even make a note and surely promised to follow up with it on Monday and call me back about the status. Monday came and nothing called me. I called the service dept and they told me that Oscar was off. My goodness!!! I followed up again the next day and he was sorry about it and promised to follow up after our call. True enough, he didn't get back to me again that day!!! I made a call on Wednesday and he's totally forgot to call the warranty department the day before so he promised again to give me a within 5 mins. After exactly 30 secs, he called me that the warranty department says it's not covered! In this case, would you believe that he indeed called that department? We've been dealing with this for the past couple of days and within 30 secs, we was able to get the answer? I wish was on that site with him so i can punch him on the face!!!! He's a horrible actor and your brand is getting affected by this kind of worker.

The Honda Hayward shop is the only place I take my civic that I bought from their dealer.
I always have great customer service experience with all their departments. During the pandemic I had to do the routine oil change and I just did not want to leave my home so I got an email with a coupon for the service from Bonnie and she mentioned new concierge service which would pick up my car and drop it off my house. I thought it was perfect time period and i went ahead and scheduled for 9 am but the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because my car got picked up at around 9:45 am. The service went like always; I was told about the estimate total and what other services might be needed before they went ahead to do the services and payed over the phone when done. The coolant draining and oil change did take all the way until 4:40 pm so pretty much all day though.
