Honda of Hayward did a great job with helping me purchase my first car. My experience went smoothly and my mom and I were able to have all of our questions answered. Carolina was very sweet and super attentive while she was helping us narrow down on our car options. Phi also did a great job with helping us understand and break down the financials for the car. I enjoyed my experience here and am well pleased with my purchase!

I think Honda of Hayward is one of the best dealer in entire bay area because they help every customer to get what their expectations when you need to buy any Honda cars. From there sales associate to Finance and banking they do the right thing which every customers hope for. I recommend and trust them because they are very customers oriented.

After seeing the reviews on Google Maps, I drove a little further than my nearest Honda Dealership to Honda of Hayward. Overall, I was not impressed with the service we received. Our Odyssey had an engine fire and we was quoted $4,000. Geico was gonna pay most of it, and the repairs were scheduled to take a couple of weeks. Then, near the date we was supposed to pick it up, we got a call saying it needed to be extended another week and another $1,000. The following week we picked the van up and 2 days later the check engine light came on. They was nice enough to check the code, but they said both cats are bad and gave us a quote for $3,000. $3,000 for two catalytic converters? I can buy new Honda OEM cats for $450 each online and they take 3-5 hours to install. What a ripoff for something that should be taken care of by Honda. I declined letting them replace the cats for that price. They didn't mention we also had a brake light that was out, so I left their shop with a brake light out. I just noticed it on their printed estimate after I got home. If someone spent $5,000 with me, there's no way I'd let them leave the shop with a $5 brake light out.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: I can't add a response after the owner replied, so I'll add it here. I'm not interested in calling in to your GM and trying to get you to give good customer service on previous work. I already replaced the brake light myself. I won't be driving the extra distance to your dealership in the future, it just wasn't good service.

I made an appointment for 9:20 and no one was there to help me when I arrived I had to go in and ask someone for help. When I made my appointment on the phone the lady said my car would be ready within an hour and it actually took two hours. However, there were two men working there that were very kind and helpful when I had questions. I also noticed they cleaned my battery for me which was nice.

Was lucky to get same-day appointment for punctured tire. My service advisor Kevien Dillard was excellent. Before having work started on my tire, he educated me on tire repair versus tire replacement. And, he was spot on for the ETA for completion of the work. I was able to get my tire fixed on my lunch break. I love the Hayward Honda service center - I always bring my car her for the excellent, friendly service.

Took my vehicle in on friday for B1 maintenance.Waited for it and was happy it was done within the promised time. 2 days later, I noticed a WHEEL LUG NUT WAS ALMOST FALLING OFF THE RF WHEEL. I HAD TO CHECK ALL 4 WHEELS. THE GUY WHO DID THE TIRE ROTATION DID NOT FOLLOW THE PATTERN FOR TIGHTENING LUG NUTS !!! IF HE HAD DONE SO, HE WOULDN'T HAVE MISSED ONE.

After having a nightmare experience at Toyota Hayward, Honda Hayward completely out did themselves. They had the great professionalism and customer service that Toyota lacks. Annamarie the sales Manager was very helpful and precise in her efforts to help us find the perfect car. She works fast and kept us updated. She is very nice and gave me an overall awesome experience. I recommend coming to Honda of Hayward and working with annamarie if you want fast and professional service.

The salesmen at the used car lot are sexist, judgmental, and vile in their interactions. Don't go here if you are by yourself, female, or young. The salesman invited me to negotiate/name a price, and I did. Then he told me to ask "mommy and daddy" to make up the difference between what I had said and the list price. Upon my refusal, he suggested I put the difference on a credit card. This man should not be selling cars across from a university and suggesting to young people that instead of financing (for 4-6% interest), they put it on a credit card with upwards of 20%! It's deceptive and shameful.
To top it off, his next negotiating move was to bring a manager over. The manager condescendingly told me that nobody would ever give me a car for the price that I named (about 2000 less than the list price, with the intention of getting them to go down at least 1000). I got up and walked away.
In conclusion, buying a car is already difficult. Why go somewhere where not only do you have to deal with the paperwork, financial stress, and negotiating, but you also have someone insulting your intelligence the whole time?

I had taken prior appointment for oil change and still had to wait for 30-45 minutes before the rep had time to talk to me. The reps were busy calling and talking on phone rather than taking care of customer who was there with prior appointment. Customer service is less than satisfactory.

5 Star Experience. I could not be happier. Took my Honda in for a battery check and ended up with brake fluid change and new battery which I needed. What a nice team at Hayward Honda. Preston managed my services and kept me informed .The waiting room was comfortable, TV provided as well as snacks and fruit. What a nice way to treat your customers. I've been a customer for a few years and the service just keeps getting better. As an added bonus you get your car washed. The young man who washed my car, did so as if it were his. I haven't seen my car so clean in awhile. Thank you Honda of Hayward for a pleasant, professional and friendly experience. I will be back.

I bought a Lexus in MAY 2020 its literally September now. 6months later. I still cant receive my license plates. I went to the dmv too because my sales person PHIL said it was the dmv that wasnt doing there part. So I went, I made an appointment for them to tell me that the dealership had done nothing yet but release the car! I've been messaging PHIL to see what process has happened. He messaged back the first times telling us to be patient and what not. I did for a few weeks I texted him again. He's been ignoring all my messages now. Not responding at all. Worst salesperson ever! I get no answers with him but to be patient. Its already Half a YEAR I've been patient! I dont have much more patients. And then the dmv said it should take no more than 4-6 weeks for someone to receive their plates. I think we're way past the 6 weeks! I'm NOT HAPPY with this Situation! I would give them Zero Stars if I could!

I have purchased 2 Hondas from Hayward Honda in the past 4 years. My feeling is that they are upfront and fair in their dealings. Car buying is arduous at best. However, the customer service, and friendly attitudes of the staff made it a more pleasurable experience.

I would NOT recommend shopping or buying for a car at Honda of Hayward. The Sales Manager, Robert, got on the phone with me while I was at the dealership looking at a used car to explain that this car was totally free of any maintenance issues. He said their service department did a full evaluation and found nothing wrong with the car. He pressed me and gave me his word that the car was in good condition with no issues. I purchased the car with cash, as I had traveled a couple hours to come see it, and 1 week later when I took it in for an inspection at another dealership, I learned that Robert has been lying and there was over $5,000 in repairs. Partly my fault for not getting a pre purchase inspection, but this dealership will say anything to get you to buy a car. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
