Holiday Inn/opryland Nashville airport Review

Excellent! The room was clean and the hotel was very conveniently located. Couldn't ask for more.

Will definitely be back! Room was nice and clean. The shuttle downtown is definitely worth the $10 per person round trip. Just be prepared to be woken up at 8:30 AM for house keeping if you forget to put the do not disturb sign on the door!

Clean, friendly people, but administratively lacking. The head housekeeper accidentally woke us us by opening our door, because our room was marked as empty. The internet was pretty slow, and the wired internet didn't work at all.

The big deal was the administrative problem that ended up with a hotel employee opening my door uninvited.

They were very nice, tho.

A weekend getaway with the wifey & I couldn't ask for a better staff! I have to take a second & recognize my main man Ronnie! He did exceptional & overall we couldn't be more pleased. Looking forward to the next stay!!

Everything was good for an overnight stay. Beds were comfortable, water pressure in the shower was good, the only thing that wasn't good was the biscuits were a little stale at breakfast so wake up early

Nice spacious room, comfy beds(2 queens and a pull out). Bathroom floor needs better attention. Breakfast great! Should probably put turkey sausage spicy in case others can't handle that. Keep up the great work.

This is the second time we've stayed there - 9 years apart - and still just as impressive. Very clean rooms and public areas and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel and facility was great, we shuttled over to Gaylord Oprymills and was told to call and we would have a shuttle right away, we called and was told they would be there in 10 minutes, sat outside in 30 degree weather for a hour and a half with a 4 year old wondering if we would ever be picked up, called back multiple times to be told they didn t know what the problem was. Very unprofessional! Don t depend on the transportation with family!

The check in process was smooth and quick, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel was nice and inviting. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely stay here again.

Indoor pool was nearly uninhabitable due to the chlorine fumes. Mediocre for a Holiday Inn. Friendly staff.

COVID Breakfast bags. Renovations almost complete. Paint detail on door need supervision. Tile floor in elevator already cracked or poor installation. Shower head need sanitized. We would stay here again.

The service was great. They have a shuttle that takes you to the Grand Ole Opry, the shopping mall, downtown and the airport and back.
The food is excellent. I would stay there again.

The service is horrible. The lad at the front desk was too busy eating ice cream than helping the guests walking in. The bed is hard as a rock. I do not recommend this hotel for any period of stay.

The room was big and modern, breakfast was great, and the staff was friendly.

When we first got to our room, however, we noticed hair on our "clean" pillows. Not just one small strand, as could have been accidental, but a lot of hair. On the "clean" sheets were two boogers. I wished I was making this up. This is unacceptable.

Having the breakfast available 1st thing in the morning before heading out for the day was perfect. Free as well which is an added touch and must mention this is a hot and cold buffet. In addition to all this they have a shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up as needed within the Opryland area. A downtown shuttle also available!
Special Shoutout and Kudos to the front reception - you were all great! These are the same folks who were also doing double services driving all of us about in the shuttle services!
A great vacation and highly recommend this property, we will be back!!!

Excellent stay! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were spotless! Breakfast was a good combination. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and plan to stay there again.

Super nice place. Pretty close to but not to close to the live music at the bars so its relatively quiet and also away from most major traffic noises but not far enough you couldn't walk to everything major in a short period of time.

Holiday Inn Express Opryland was our first time staying here. Rooms are nice and comfy. Breakfast was great. Plenty to choose from. I would have given them a 5 star but had to ask for towels and washcloths twice. We had four people in the room and only three towels. Staff was great about getting them for me. Nice location and is away from all the traffic.

Not a bad hotel. Crazy rates on the date attended with plenty of room. Overpriced for the place.

a lot to unpack here.
first, there is no internet upstairs. it works fine in the lobby and by the pool, but otherwise youre not really going to have a connection. it goes away pretty much constantly. speaking of the heated pool, it is not heated. the room is decently steamy but the pool is really cold. i couldnt get all the way in it. almost like the water in the rooms - the temperature cannot be controlled. if you put the faucet on a medium temperature, it constantly fluctuations from burning hot to ice cold. kinda like the temperature in the room. anyway, not to mention that the water is not clear, its pretty foggy. also, the rooms look nothing like the pictures
other than that, our room had a few issues that might be isolated. the timer on the microwave did not work. the fridge buzzes so loud constantly. the room was pretty gross when we got there, with a decent amount of dust and a used kleenex on top of the closet/cabinet. the workers were nice which is about the only positive thing i can say

Loved our stay here! Such a beautiful hotel with great amenities.My family and I stayed there a couple weeks ago. We had a great experience. The front staff were friendly. Food was amazing. We are planning our next visit there now. Definitely worth the stay.

Great rooms and atmosphere. Great breakfast. Only gripe is that there was no hot tub and the pool was really cold.

We had a very nice stay here for CMAfest. It was much less expensive than staying downtown and the shuttles were prompt, dependable and reasonably priced. Room was very clean and the hotel appears to have been updated recently. Recommend!

I rented a room on 11/19/16 for one night and could not use it since I got sick that day and could not travel. I tried to change the reservation for 12/31/16 and hotel would not exchange it. I lost $174.22. I would give you "0" stars if I could. Your rating is almost 5 stars, it should be 2.

Clean rooms and amazing breakfast!! The staff is amazing as well. I stayed here 3 years ago and had a great stay then. Mostly same staff still great stay!

Service and Facilities were Holiday Inn worthy, however, the shuttle bus was not available 4 different times when we needed to go to the convention. My friend I walked the 3/4 mile with no problem, but to my dismay the hotel is surrounded by stagnant water on 2 sides. I was covered by mosquito bites as I walked at the different times of day in the heat of the summer. I required medical attention once home as my arms and lower neck area swelled with irritation. The physician thought I had been bitten by a tick and attributed the bites to mosquitoes in the stagnant water . Great breeding ground for Zika.. bring mosquito repellent.

Rooms are great most of the service is excellent aside from one person.

I love Holiday Inn Express. This would be a solid 5 star review if not for a few issues. First we had 4 people staying in the room and 3 towels. Second there was no hotel shampoo, just conditioner and lotion. Third the hotel is full of ladybugs. Our room had 15-20 all over the walls and ceili g. My 9 year old is not a fan of any bug. Lastly hotel photos showing bacon as part of the hot breakfast are inaccurate. Location is awesome as is the staff.

This is my second day at this hotel and so far I haven't been able to get a roll away bed. A roll away bed is listed as available on the website and one has been requested 5 times now. Terry in guest services has been very unhelpful and couldn't tell me how many roll away beds the hotel had or where they were at. He said he would "check with housekeeping in the morning" to see if they knew where one was. I've been pleasantly persistent to get a roll away bed because the fold out couch is terrible and made my back hurt. Also the breakfast wasn't fantastic either; the biscuits were dry and hard. Definitely the worst experience I've had at a Holiday Inn.

Went to a sales pitch. Resort was beautiful. Representative was professional but I was told meeting was going to be 90 min and it was 3 hrs.

We've enjoyed celebrating our anniversary here. We are close to several Nashville attractions, the staff has made us feel so important and have been more than accommodating. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel was very clean.

Stayed one night for a weekend evet. Overall I had a positive stay, the room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. I also enjoyed the breakfast, it was pretty decent and they had a good selection.

Located just nearby Gaylord Convention center and Opry Mills Mall, nice room and breakfast. Unfortunately I went out from 11AM till 7PM and get back found my room not cleaned... But it's a very good place to stay in...

We had high expectations based on the price. Staff was great. Room was horrible. Cons: broken chair, uncomfortable chair and bed, stains on furniture. Submitted a review on IHG website for Holiday Inn: They made me resubmit 3 times due to mention of price and competitor, clearly more concerned about my review, than my bad experience. I don't normally complete reviews, but felt compelled because it was so overpriced for the room we got. Just want to help someone not make the same mistake.

The rooms were very nice and quiet. The pool was clean and nice as well. Breakfast was warm and filling. The kids loved the automatic pancake maker!

Had an enjoyable two night visit, convenient location, no complaints, go ahead and book it.

Stay was nice just a little disappointed that beds were not made because a childs throw blanket was on the bed. The breakfast was good but the scramble eggs were bland and runny.

Staff and room were great. But breakfast sucked, NO pancakes at all, ran out of bacon and bananas. Very slow to replenish if they did at all!!!! This was one of the reasons why we ALWAYS try and stay at an EXPRESS but this one needs help!!!!!!!

I would not recommend this hotel. The staff are very rude. The only positive part in staying at the hotel was the breakfast. My husband and I drove 8.5 hours to go to Nashville for our Anniversary. When we checked we did not get a hello, we had a man just stare at us like we were lost. Finally after the awkward check-in, my husband and I went to the room we were assigned to, and bam, when we open the door it was dirty with trash every where, deffintly was not cleaned. When my husband went back down to the front desk he was questioned on what he really seen. After 20 mins we were given another room. This room was a little cleaner. The head board had stuff on it, we had to put a sheet over it. BBQ sauce was on the skirt. Hair on the pillows, thank goodness we brought our own pillows and blanket. What a experience for our Anniversary trip. We did not get a sorry from the staff or any discount for the trouble or inconvenience we were given, instead we had rude staff all weekend. Oh and if you run out of toilet paper at night, dont expect anyone to bring you a roll. Our room did not get cleaned not once in our 4 da y stay. Oh and the beds are very hard, my back hurt for days after checking out. I would find another hotel, this place is not worth the money they charge.
