Amazing hotel. The staff, the food, the rooms. Everything is perfect. Loved it here and will be back again soon.
Fantastic experience. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Will recommend to others and stay here during future trips.
Unique, elegant hotel with recently renovated rooms, close to tube stop in a quiet district not far from Victoria
My dad Mr Geoff Alton used to work there...wonderful hotel and staff ...i have stayed there myself i could not recommend a hotel enough for making guests feel welcome and comfortable.....Mrs Michelle Waller
Great service, all the staff was very helpful and focused on service
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit RoomBuIIy. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
Great hotel. We had our Christmas office party there and it was really special. All the staff were so nice and amenable. You would think they'd got tired during the holidays, but no, they were all perfect. The food was great too, but your standard fare, excellent I'd say. I hope we'll go back there next year.
Stay here often and never disappointed. Quiet hotel tucked away off Westminster but within reaching distant of almost everything. Tube station just around corner. Afternoon teas are delightful and very tasty in beautiful surroundings and attentive service.
Delightful hotel, lovely food and friendly helpful staff
Great location. Right next to Tube station and within walking distance of lots of the big attractions. The rooms run a little small but you know, it's London. Staff is super nice and the tea time is a lot of fun if you're not from the area. My only complaint is that there was a noise that was fairly constant in my room. It sounded like it was next to a big water main. Like when your in the other room and someone is taking a shower. Hard to explain but earplugs mostly took care of it.
Very beautiful hotel. Nice bar and crystal ballroom. Room very clean. The hotel is thought very expensive.
Nice hotel, very nice staff. Breakfast a bit expensive. The hotel is very close to the Big Ben you can walk.
Came for a conference. The room we had was very spacious and the lunch was great. In the evening we were blessed with live performance which was superb. I have no complaints
Had afternoon tea here. Lovely setting very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food.
Very nice experience.
Is nice hotel also the chef Gianluca is really talent chef!!
Fabulous. Best location I've ever stayed in London. Saving a ton on subway fares
Beautiful hotel, lovely rooms and marble en suite to complement. Beer terrace was an interesting features too. Service was strong throughout and there was no fuss whatsoever when I checked out late. Conveniently located 1 minute from St James tube station too.
We stayed here over Christmas vacation and found this hotel to be a cozy, luxury old style renovated but very charming hotel managed by Marriot. The courtyard is beautiful and the hotel front desk service was superb and very helpful with helping make reservations and guiding our vacation with travel tips. Rooms were comfortable A/C perfect and bed was great quality perfect rest each night, bathroom was clean and shower excellent presure. Overall we found the room a but smaller than USA standard but we found that to be norm in Europe and UK but in return great continental breakfast (eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese, danishes and breads) and overall had a very nice 5 night stay here no problems at all. Eap wanted to thank Claudio, manager front desk making our anniversary stay memorable. Lastly location is Westminister area, clean, and near Victoria station and lots of restaurants and pubs near by.
A hotel with a good overall rating and worth recommending.
Located in central London, just 1 minute from St. James's Park subway station, the traffic is quite convenient.
In addition, the main attractions of London - Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben... can be reached within 10 minutes on foot, making it a very suitable place to visit London.
The quality of the accommodation is also very good, the room is quite spacious, comfortable, clean, soundproofing is also very good, in the evening can sleep comfortably in bed. The exterior of the hotel is quaint, but the interiors and facilities of the hotel are quite new and modern, and the scenery in the hall or the atrium is quite beautiful.
Some of the meals have been served at the hotel, with continental and English breakfast options, and prices are slightly different. The food is delicious, with hot tea or coffee to make the day begin.
This place is beautiful on the outside and has a lovely lobby. Everything else is super expensive and the staff are pretty snooty here. They gave us the wrong room without notifying us of any downgrades the first night. They ended up giving us something better to compensate after we made a stink but were reluctant to do so. The newer room they gave us had gifts for another person in the room waiting for us which they came to claim 20 min in our new arrangements LOL. On top of that the heat was blowing cold air. They had to send someone up to change the filter and get it up and running again so we can have a somewhat warm room to sleep in. For all their troubles we asked for complimentary breakfast for all the hassle which they offered after about 10 minutes of going back and forth. The next day we go for breakfast only to find out that the breakfast wasn't included as promised. We went back and forth between various staff before finally figuring it out. The following day on checkout we find out they actually charged us for the breakfast which was 28 pounds per person. Took us another 20 min to sort that all out as well. The staff here are pompous and clueless with very little customer service. The Concierge was very nice and helpful.
This is an absolute gem of a hotel in a very good location in London!
A classy Hotel that is not over the top. Safe area and a great location to see London.
Great location. Excellent service. Quite street in London right next to St James Park. Highly recommended.
Great staff, nice bar, great location for the hot spots. The help is very knowledgeable of places to go as far as food and tourist stuff. Will come again next time we are here.
Only visited for a corporate conference but my impression of the hotel from the reception/lobby/meeting rooms was good.
Facilities were mostly clean but could have been better.
Had a quick look at room prices whilst visiting and it is extremely expensive as you would expect in this area of London!
Not good with food allergies. Not just that but their attitude towards the whole thing was poor.
Inviting premises, rooms and decor. Clean and modernist touches. Quality food. Friendly staff.
We use this hotel for events and will continue to do so. Can't say enough about it. Can't fault it.
Great service. Hospitality. Well located. Great breakfast, despite the location a bit confusing. Beautiful and pleasant environment. Glamor. Very well located. There is beekeeping in the hotel itself. Highly recommend.
Loverly hotel as you would expect from the Marriott group. Great staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend.
We went there for our first year anniversary, and can honestly say that I felt like was treated as a royalty. Service was impeccable, the room they gave us, is the biggest one they have- it was simply magical- decorated with flowers and orchids all around, while the the bed was covered with rose petals... There was a complimentary bottle of prosecco and a box of gorgeous chocolate truffles- which were simply delightful.
The dedicated Caxton restaurant benefits from the contemporary menu that can satisfy every taste ( the artichoke soup was heavenly), and also make great use of the hotel's own roof herb garden ( there was pesto even in the cheesecake-weird but it worked)
St Ermin's is situated in central London close to all the famous landmarks such as the Parliament, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace.
It is a great place to stay- it has a certain exquisite feeling to it.
I love this hotel. It's my go to place when I stay in London. The beds are so comfy.
Excellent. Very good attention and location. I will be back
Excellence in service and customer satisfaction. They go out of the way for comfort. They listen to your needs. I highly recommend the hotel. Great location as well.
Truly a five star hotel. Incredible service, incredible accommodations, great location. Only complaint would be the second rate location for the breakfast.
We had the afternoon tea here. We were seated at the balcony overlooking the lobby. The seats were comfy and the hotel was really pretty. The scones and pastries were amazing and the tea was also nice. It was a bit expensive to what we were used to in the Netherlands, but it was one of the cheaper options in London. All in all, I think you get value for your money, we had a great experience.
Amazing afternoon tea. Many selections offered. With bottomless scones :) They also include an ice tea instead of just regular hot tea. Nice balcony seating if you prefer.
The service was great, rooms were wonderfully clean with charming decoration, and the food was delectable! Perfect location with peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. As a side note: some members of my family have celiac disease and they accommodated so well at the restaurant for gluten-free options! Very happy with all the options and understanding they had. Even gluten free tea time!
This hotel is a large but charming hotel with a great location in the middle of Buckingham Palace and Winchester Cathedral. It is within walking distance from the hotel to both places. Our room is a bit small from American standards, but it is still acceptable. The decoration style of this room is high-end fashion European style, and it is very clean. Our room is facing the courtyard/entrance inside the hotel, which gives us a quiet and interesting view.
Lovely old building with great modern ammenities. Close to St. James's Subway and multiple HoHo bus stops.
Good portions were quite small. Delicious but was still hungry after 3 course meal
Stayed here just this past weekend with my son. We were treated like
Royalty and there was nothing about this hotel or the service that was overlooked. From the housekeeping service to the front desk and front door staff everything was top notch. I truly felt like we were treated like everything mattered and we were the best customers. Everyone was attentive to every customer as well. The complimentary breakfast we were entitled to was perfect. Our room was extremely clean and well tended as well as very roomy. The lobby Area was elegant and welcoming. The hotel grounds were beautiful even in the full cold weather of February.
Delicious afternoon tea! Busy bee one for kids also really cute. Great value too esp with it being bottomless prosecco!! Eaten my weeks worth of sugar though
Nice welcome in the reception. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good.Walking distance from famous monuments. Easy by train from airports to get in the hotel. We will came back
Excellent hotel, fantastic sized suites and facilities.
Only downside was the car park for valet is 10-20min away. Hence long wait for car to be returned.
Breakfast is amazing, have the full English.
Great staff and the rooms to present in were very solid
This hotel was great. The room we stayed at had air conditioning in both the living room area, as well as the room with the bed. The breakfast was fantastic, and worth checking out. The hotel is located just around the corner from St. James Park tube station, a Starbucks, and a convince store. The lobby of this hotel was very nice. The bathroom was also very nice, with a rainfall showerhead installed in the ceiling. Recommend this hotel to visitors of London who want a nice hotel to stay in, but still within walking distance of some of the main tourist sites.
This was a fantastic place to stay. I would highly recommend it. The concierge was helpful and kind. They tended to all of our needs. The complementary breakfast for Marriot Elite was very large, delicious and delivered straight to our room. This hotel was very clean and located next to the St. James station which made travel easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
great time, staff was great and room was amazing. close to all the best sites in London
I love this hotel. Everyone was friendly (e Italianne! - che belle ) - clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Only a shame that I had to work all week and couldn't see the touristy things that were just blocks away! Luckily, there is a tube station just around d the corner making travel around London idiot-proof!
St. Ermin's truly is a boutique hotel experience. From the beehive (!) to the personalized welcome and greeting in our room, to the desserts left for our children, the entire stay was magical! Within walking distance to all of the great spots in London, we can't imagine staying anywhere else when in London.
Afternoon tea experience - wow! The range on offer for both the wonderful food and the tea was excellent.
The place is beautiful and very quintessentially English.
The food was delicious and I could not fault the service. There was so much food we couldn't eat it all.
Will be back again next visit to London. A wonderful treasure this place is
Nice rooms, cozy decor and helpful staff. Perfectly located just off St: James Park subway
Rooms are a bit old. But super quiet. Excellent customer service.
Quality of food and service was unquestionably good. However, portion size for nut free diet was under par. Fantastic tea rooms though, with the most delicious roiboos tea.
The afternoon tea with bottomless prosecco was delightful. The tea was flavorful and the selection abundant. The sandwiches, scones and sweets were also great. The staff was friendly and hotel very clean. Highly recommended!
Staying here for work over the holidays. The lobby is fabulously sparkly and while my only encounter with the customer service was at check-in, they have been generally hospitable and I see they have Concierge Clefs D'or here which is always inspires confidence in a stay. The rooms are all updated, though some of the small details seem overlooked. The faucet leaks a little on the top of the sink when running, the water pressure in the shower is pretty low, and the swinging, extendable glass divider between the tub and the bathroom is strange and difficult to use, especially when a curtain would do. The restaurant downstairs serves fantastic food which is a great since hotel restaurants are hit or miss, typically miss. So, definitely try it if you have the time. Minus the nitpicks on the room, I would definitely stay here again, hopefully on a real holiday.
Excellent hotel at a great location. A bit noisy at the lower floors. My room was a bit smaller than I thought, and feels a bit cramped. Feels like they are short-staffed because it takes a long time to get breakfast and even to get an egg cooked the way you wanted. Overall, it's still an excellent hotel at a very convenient location.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very happy and super helpful. The room was very nice. The hotel is close to a metro, so it is super easy to get anywhere in London.
Unique and timeless property in the heart of Westminster. Excellent service and supportive staff.
I've been here twice for afternoon tea. Once with my Mum and once with a larger group. Both times, the afternoon tea has been excellent and the staff have been lovely. Most recently, we sat on the terrace on a sunny afternoon - truly memorable.
