Most excellent - tucked away in Caxton Street. A real hidden gem
Great location. Walking distance to Buckingham palace. Tube one block away. Uber takes 2-3 minutes to pick up in the morning.
Rooms are tight but clean. Recommend upgrading if you are Bonvoy member. I got a good deal for a larger room (bear in mind I came in low season).
Service and overall staff is 5 stars. Reception, Concierge and restaurant staff very friendly, multi lingual and very helpful.
Breakfast buffet is decent: fruit, ham, salmon, cheese, scrambled eggs, bread and honey (more on this later). Espresso. Recommend ordering poached eggs, they serve them at your desired term. Great for start of day.
Hotel has good stories on Parlament members and even former spies. Ask the reception and they will tell you details and a useful booklet. Property has good personality and lots of little places to read, work, unwind.
Second floor (or 1st floor in UK) has a very cozy tea room for afternoon tea. Reservations recommended. Third floor has a bee hive and they serve honey from them at bkfast.
Only one piece to improve and get to 5 stars. Gym was very tight and not properly ventilated. Recommend looking at expanding it. Comparable properties in near by locations have a better space.
Other people commented on lifts not working. I did not experience that at all.
I'll come back and recommend!
Superb service rooms and staff. A must stay when you want some luxury
The hotel is great but the breakfast is definitely sub par.
Good Room, but it was a little too hot the first night.
Very quiet, comfortable, well located, and excellent service.
Rooms are well appointed but expectedly small. Incredible service.
We had a, if not exactly cheap, teatime. The ambience is very appealing, the service was great and the typical food was really great.
Loved this place. I don't usually get to go to such beautiful hotels. The staff were amazing and I think entertained by the country folk. Breakfast fabulous.
A nice welcome, quality room, recommend the club sandwich in the bar for a reasonably priced feast
My husband and I spent three nights here in May, and would happily recommend it to other travelers. The location can t be beat 6 minute walk to Westminster Abbey & Big Ben, 8 minutes or so to Buckingham Palace. It s also near a Tube stop, but that s the case EVERYWHERE in London. You will never be more than 5 minutes from the Tube no matter where you are at any given time. The staff are supremely prompt, friendly, patient and professional, and the building itself, including its lovely tea room, is wonderful to behold. The rooms (especially the showers!) are spacious, stylish and comfortable, with luxurious amenities; and the buffet breakfast offerings were varied and delicious. Though you may be tempted to stay out all day every day exploring the fabulous city, try to block out a rest day to enjoy tea (indoors or on the lush veranda) or to read in any of the plush armchairs in the common area above the lobby.
Love this hotel. Centrally located, great service and great value in London.
Amazing room. Staff very nice. Hotel looks great inside and out.
Lovely little unique boutique hotel with a beautiful common area and courtyard. You can get your Marriott points and still stay at a property with character.
Our stay was excellent - the staff superb. The accommodations tight but comfortable (two double beds in a tight space). Rooms had been updated in 2012 and the place felt like an old friend but with new, fresh surroundings. I liked the restaurant. With two picky kid eaters they would make just about anything you wanted on the menu or off. Prices were typical of on site restaurants - very high for so-so food. With a 5 minute walk in one direction to Buckingham and in the other to Westminster Abby...it was a great place for tourists to stay.
Vintage hotel in the heart of London. Five minute walk to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. Rooms are comfortable and roomy. Bathroom was refinished, basic facilities and shower is in a very small tub.
I wanted to send my sincerest compliment to the staff at St. Ermin s Hotel in London.
Our stay at the hotel was well spent and one of the most enjoyable experiences my family and I have ever had.
The hotel itself was tremendously beautiful. As soon as we walked in, we were in awe. The rooms were immaculately clean and pleasant. Not to mention, the hotel was in such a great location. Especially around the New Years time. We were so delighted that we got to watch the fireworks and celebrate the beginning of 2019, only one block away!!
The thing that meant the most to myself and my family, was the staff. I am telling you, the WHOLE staff made us feel like family, as they excelled beyond their duties to make us feel welcome. From unloading the cars, with smiles and sweet greetings with the best English accents, to the very moment we left.
When you stay at a place, yes of course you want a clean and well put place to rest your head at night while enjoying your vacation, but the staff is truly what makes the place special.
I want to give a huge thanks to the pastry chef. She was so lovely and bright, accommodating us with little gift bags filled with her favorite treats that she made herself, the morning we left. She was so friendly, our entire stay, to each one of us which made this experience so fantastic.
An absolute 5 Star Stay. Next time we are in London, we will most definitely be staying at the St. Ermin s Hotel.
Thank you, to you all.
Sincerely,
The Greco's, Turner's, and the Cash parties
Beautiful hotel, very clean in all areas. Room very good. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast delicious
Nice staff and a quiet room, issue with points quickly resolved
The hotel is beautiful and the service is second to none. Everyone was accommodating and curteous during our stay. Great location in downtown London.
You will never forget your stay at St Ermins
This would be for all the right reasons
Amazing friendly service
great food lovely beds
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location in Westminster. Excellent staff and free wine and snack hour. The bar and restaurant areas are very nice. This will definitely be my preferred hotel when visiting the area.
Don't recommend staying at this hotel. Some of the staff members were very rude. Bathroom was smaller than a closet and the old plumbing would make such a loud noise that it would wake you up every time water was being used. The bed felt very uncomfortable and out of a much cheaper hotel. As a Marriott Platinum Premier guest who travels a lot each year this was the worst autograph branded hotel and one of the worst Marriotts I have ever stayed in. Furthermore I was given a room with no real windows. The only positive I can think of this hotel was the location. Recommend you spend your money to stay at other locations as this one wasn't worth it.
Love this hotel been 3 times since myself and husband were 19. Very special place for us. Staff very friendly. Hope to visit again soon.
Rooms are extremely tiny really. I get bigger rooms in Tokyo.
Rooms are clean though but you can expect this from a hotel at this level honestly.
Reception staff was not as nice as I normally experience it in a Marriott group hotel honestly. It was preferred to let me pay for an upgrade rather than giving it to me which is sort of my right as a Platinum member.
Breakfast honesty was a big joke. Really small, not much choice. Can't even have an English breakfast there, no baked beans. But they are more than happy to serve you something from their menu at a charge. Also not normal Marriott group standard.
Overall, they most certainly won't see me ever again there. It has 3 star quality overall, but certainly not 5 star qualities.
I rather stay at any other Marriott or SPG property.
Amazing staff, updated comfortable rooms, and the breakfast is the best I've had at a hotel! Its within walking distance of a lot of sites. Just a few blocks from where I took the picture.
St Ermin's staff is among the most helpful and kind in any hotel I've been in
My favourite place in victoria
Such a home coming feel; such a beautiful bottle of chenin blanc; every problem has felt manageable inside st ermins!
Stunning! It's like a fairytale, can't fault it at all! Except housekeeping walking in at 10am..yikes!
I've stayed here multiple times. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Easy access to the 2 different tube stations. lots to see and do, good food & laundry services close by. The history and style of this hotel is fascinating.
Overpriced rip off, terrible food, terrible service. Don't waste your money
Stumbled upon this gem and had a delicious dinner while enjoying the beautiful hotel!
Beautiful rooms and public spaces. The view from our eoom was not particularly nice overlooking a grey office building, but the room was clean and looked like it was newly refurbished. Breakfast was a little disappointing with the cooked buffet limited.
Small rooms if single occupancy. Air conditioning didn't work so had to move room
I havent used the restaurant or the rooms but in inital impressions, the hotel looks beautiful and the staff are polite and courteous.
Wonderful service, nice personal touches (chocolates on our pillows), and fantastic location.
Nice hotel, good location (close to Westminster) , nice but small room with very small bathroom.
Such a beautiful tranquil cocoon from the hustle and bustle of London.
Beautiful hotel, great service, nice breakfast. I've stayed here a few times now and it's my new go to hotel in London.
Go for a lovely afternoon tea in the lovely Buckingham palace area.. great food and ambience... the tea options are amazing.. try the rooibos orange
Great stay. Had a pricing hiccup but was resolved with ease. Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Would stay again.
Too long to check in. Small rooms, not my favourite.
Great location and extremely friendly service. Had a great time and would definitely recommend.
The hotel is very clean. Cleaner than most hotels we stay at in the USA. Staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in a double bed room and it was about the same size as a room at a hotel in the states. It's a 10 min walk to Westminster Abbey and big Ben to the east. 10 min walk to Buckingham palace to the north. A post office across the street for currency exchange and mailing post cards. Victoria Street is a block south and is lined with places to eat.
Good location.. but they do not have any specific medicine for injury
The location is very central. The rooms were good, except the view into the construction site happening across the street. Sound isolation is good so it's not a big deal. The breakfast was very good, great variety.
Hello,
My family and I had a wonderful experience at your hotel in May. Everyone we engaged with was friendly and helpful. Thank you for a memorable stay at your beautiful hotel. Patricia Adams
Beautiful hotel, great location the staff was very friendly as well. Definitely recommend it.
Well kept property, beautiful inside, staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean and well set. Restaurant is okay for breakfast, I wouldn't have dinner there it was pretty average.
Nice, small, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Very central.
Amazing food & cocktails, stellar customer service from all staff members & an excellent location for all of the major sights! Highly recommended.
Splendid afternoon tea at a very reasonable price compared with other hotels in central London
Hotel itself is great looking, but since it's an older building elevators are small and corridors are like a maze. Rooms are okay, some rooms don't have tub just shower, like ROOM 245 which was an upgrade, it's a suite but don't have tub. We were using the sofa bed but if not used then the ROOM is huge for an older building. Reception was quick and efficient. Very close to victoria station and Buckingham palace and administer bridge, big ben. Breakfast is 21 pound...dinner mains are around 25 pounds.
It's an awesomely stunning hotel surrounding a small flourishing garden in front. When you walk through the front doors your are greeted with sparkling chandeliers, plush comfy furniture and the dreamy romantic winding stairs. This hotel seemed to have everything a traveler could want in upscale accommodations, except reliable room service. Many times the room service number would go to voicemail, they never returned calls. On several occasions there were order mix ups. The hotel itself seemed pretty packed, staff was always busy, most were very helpful and friendly and enjoyed interacting with guests. I would definitely stay there again, and reccomend this beautiful hotel to others planning a stay in London. You have to go to breakfast, they have the best pastries ever!!!
Beautiful hidden location very quiet so close to Buckingham palace
Good location, generous breakfast-literally rolled out the restaurant door. Good GT, loads to choose from and decent price. Friendly and polite service in the hotel and in the restaurants. Loved every second of staying there! If someone says that rooms are tiny, well it's pretty common in central London.
Attended a work event here and although the service was good it was far too hot without any a/c and seemed to be struggling to cope with the influx of guests arriving in the small lobby. Good location though.
Wonderful hotel with lots of history. The service here was incredible.
Very nice atmosphere and achetecture. Rooms are fairly small but the bathroom is nice and large. Elevators are also claustrophobic, but quick
Awesome rooms, incredible location, good service, and a mediocre breakfast.
Teeny tiny rooms. Good if you're a hobbit. A bit small if you are a normal human.
Amazing. A delicious and interesting afternoon tea with bottomless prosecco (90 minutes). A beautiful cosy room with comfortable furnishings and lovely tableware. Two friends and I spent a wonderful 4 hours catching up while lovely helpful staff looked after us very well. We ended the evening on the terrace which was cosy and comfortable. Very close to St James tube station. Excellent all round.
