BE AWARE !!! they are dishonest !!

They charged an authorization in my credit card (reservation price + 50GPB for each night) and when I did the checkout three days later they charged the right ammount.
When I got home, to my surprise they didn't cancel the first authorization ! so I ended up with NO credit card since my credit limit was reached. I wrote an email to them (to two email address they have in their web site) explaning my problem. I got NO answer ! I called by phone from Spain and they say cancelations takes around 2-4 days and the said everything was OK.
I waited, nothing happend. Four days later I had to call my bank to take care of the first charge that they DIDN'T cancel. The hole week I was with NO credit card. My bank said that it is no true that cancellations takes 2-4 days and the hotel just didn't do the cancellation but they (my bank) could take care of it.

Beautiful hotel with great service. Had afternoon tea here with wife and mum. Highly attentive staff and upgraded to bottomless French champagne for 39 pounds. Great value. Christmas lights were special.

The room was large, clean and lovely. They provide a hairdryer, tea/coffee, soaps, shampoo, conditioner along with other helpful toiletries. The hotel is very close to St James Park tube station. The breakfast was very good and included continental and hot English breakfast options. They offer a free glass of wine in the evening between 5:30 and 6:30. The hotel itself is beautiful, very ornate. The staff were friendly and helpful but did forget to take my luggage to my room, but it only took a minute to go get it myself.

This is a beautiful hotel. The history, the interior, the staff, the breakfast, seriously everything suits me down to the ground.
As a Marriott high fat, unrefined, gluten loaded, platinum Lifetime member, I don't think there is a better Marriott in London that I have stayed at.
Quality and thank you!

I went for afternoon tea with bottomless prosecco. The food was lovely and the staff we very attentive with drinks. They also seemed to do a children's afternoon tea, which looked lovely and engaging for kids. It did mean that a lot of families with young kids went so it started getting fairly noisy and, as I was catching up with 2 friends (no kids) it wasn't as relaxing as other afternoon teas I've been to.

The hotel is bautifull, the lobby staff are superb, the rooms are huge. The view from the room 562 window is not good, all you can see is what looked to me like office space. House keeping left dirty cups with hair in them for us to have our coffee in, and the breakfast cook can not make an overeasy egg to save his life, overcooked every time.

Really nice hotel in the heart of London. My wife and I loved this hotel, the free breakfast was really decent and the beds are out of this world comfortable. The hotel is a very short walk to the underground and pretty much everything in London

Lovely

I chose this hotel for it's proximity to the parks around Buckingham Palace on our latest trip to London.

Beautiful facade and full of historical facts. Wasn't able to explore all as it's hard to do with an active toddler. Our room had a king bed but was small. But nice, roomy enough for me and my LO.

Reason for the 3 star are the front desk folks, especially the female supervisor. Hubby's platinum and reservation was under him so normally we get late check out. Requested it on our first day. The blond lady russian/eastern european supervisor only gave us until 1 pm and said to check back the day of. Day of, we got back from lunch went up to the front desk, we got her again. I said my LO needed her nap and can we have til 4. No, she said as there's no availability. Went up to the room, called down. British guy this time. He said no problem, we can have the room til 4 pm. I didn't even need to ask for the manager.

Reason for 3 rather than 2, were the other staffs' service from the valet to the concierge and the ladies at breakfast. Good service, what a Marriott is known for.

=========

Response to Manager: I was disappointed myself @Mafalda. We've stayed at other Marriott locations in London. And late check out has never been an issue for Platinum members. What made it even worst was that the room was available through the requested time. The lady supervisor could just have easily said yes. I could give you our checkout date, if you want, so you can track who that lady was, if you have more than one supervisor at the front desk.

It's a very fine experience, the service while I was part of a business group was brilliant. High attention to detail. I'd love to stay there. The bar/grill is also good for a drink or two.

Historic building with great access to the train and bus services. Easy walking distance to many attractions. 3 Starbucks within a few minutes!!
The bar and restaurant has fantastic service.
My biggest peeve (as in most European hotels) is the shower in the rooms. Almost no pressure and a thin stream that can be super hot. Yuck.

WOWWW we have had a bereavement in our family and were due to stay here and the manager has just said no cancellation refund no exception thanks Isabelle what a delightful establishment i am totally flabbergasted

Excellent hotel! Beautiful entry and lobby. Very quiet rooms with a comfy bed. Good sized bathroom with a huge shower. You can really feel the character in the place. The only negative was the view. But not surprising as its central London

Desserts were great and staff very attentive to our needs. If I could give a half star id add one. Only gripe was our main was a little dissappointing as it came undercooked for our liking.

Excellent hotel in a great location. The tube is one block away. Rooms are a little small I hope. But the hotel itself is bold and beautiful. It also has a great history to it. There is a fantastic Deli right around the corner where for 5 lb you can get a much better breakfast than what they serve in the restaurant.

Fantastic interior, friendly, helpful and generous service. I dropped in for a coffee whilst passing and it transpired that the hotel was closed until the following Monday, however I was made welcome, and offered a coffee on the house! Interesting display on the ground floor about the hotels SOE past.

This is a peaceful hotel that provides a break from the hustle of the city. It's set in a quiet location and it has a great garden, while offering proximity to landmarks and a subway stop.

This is a beautiful property centrally located within reasonable walking distance to many attractions as well as being close to a tube station. The lobby is spectacular, the rooms are excellent and the breakfast is great as well. There are restaurants and pubs close by if you prefer not to go far. The bee terrace is fun to visit if it isn't too cold and the bees are active. Overall an excellent stay!

Our experience at St. Ermin's was fantastic. This hotel is in a superb location for all of your London excursions. Our room was extremely well-kept and comfortable. The staff here was also very friendly and willing to help. The gym was a little to warm to comfortably workout in.

St. Ermin's hotel is a lovely property located centrally to many attractions in London. It's a short walk to Buckingham Palace and is convenient to several different Tube stations. The rooms are well appointed, and the bed is quite comfortable. I appreciate that there are even some US-style outlets available in the room.

Recently stayed at this hotel for business and was extremely impressed. Absolutely stunning interiors and the level of service from staff in both the hotel and the Caxton Grill restaurant is second to none.

Hotel is also extremely well located with the vast majority of London's major tourist attractions very close by. I would definitely recommend this hotel to both friends and family.

Unlimited prosecco with afternoon tea. Very Impressed. Such delicate desserts and gorgeous taste. Did not rush us out after the allocated 1.5 hours. Hotel facilities nice and posh and close to Victoria Coach Station. Sandwiches too small though.

Came visiting from Toronto. Customer service was impeccable, we came super early ahead of schedule, and they still accommodated us. Smooth check in, and the hotel is beautiful. Thank you Amy Kaur, Luis and the whole front desk you were super helpful. Amazing customer service!!!!

Small but cozy rooms, good location near lots of attractions-- however, everything nearby shuts down early so you'll have to transit for late-night food or entertainment.

Our room package included breakfast and it was very good, but would have been frighteningly expensive a la carte.
