Not off to a good start. Key doesn t work. They want us to wait while it gets repaired. 20 minutes later...... Different room. Bag of laundry from last Island. No laundry machines. Hilton???
Will update later.
Made it to a room. No desk. One chair. No place to put anything. Bathtub occupies 40% of bathroom. Very outdated design. Wife attempts to do laundry in sink. So 1940 s. Wife stuck in shower. Door will not open.....takes both of us to open.
Update; maintenance solution don t close shower door. As stated in other reviews avoid Sylvia at the front desk. Two star hotel at 6 star prices.

Beautiful and very large hotel, suitable for everyone including families with small children, English lawn that reaches almost to the beach and beautiful rooms, inside there are various shops and the prices are good, the food is very good and the breakfasts are super, the staff is truly loving and the customer feels pampered, extreme cleanliness, We were very satisfied.

The accommodation was great we were upgraded due to being on our honeymoon.
What spoiled it was the transfer from Hilton to the airport. Hilton staff never told us we had to pay cash when we got to the airport. The driver demanded FJ $45. Luckily I had a $50 note, he said he had no change so ended up giving him $50. Not only was the fair very expensive, I was ripped off for an additional $5 and the worst thing was Hilton staff never told us we had to pay cash at the airport.
NEVER STAYING AT HILTON AGAIN.
Don t get me wrong it s not the money it s principal, I was ripped off! And Hilton are aware of it.

BULA BULA. !!!

BULA BULA. !!!

Particularly nice hotel! The location is located on Dananu Island and basically every room can see the sea. The hotel staff is really incomparable and enthusiasm. It has never been experienced by Hilton in other countries. From check in to check out, it is very smooth, no pressure~

It is worth mentioning that the two restaurants in the hotel, our breakfast is eaten in Nuku, all the ingredients are very fresh, the staff is very enthusiastic, the drinks do not need to take their own, the waiter will help you pick it up.

There are taxis and direct buses (BulaBus) to the pier, taxis to the city centre for almost 20 minutes, and buses to the city centre. All the car service during the stay was arranged by the hotel staff. The price was uniform in every place and no black car was encountered.

The front desk can sign up for local tours and can arrange hotel transfers to attractions.

Vinaka!

Well we are here in Hilton resort . Let me start from
Check in . Firstly it s like a conceirge desk . Hot and sweaty . No welcome drinks nothing . Apparently there is water on the side but no one tells you . Then you get to your room . We have booked in an Beachfront room . On a very hot day the fan doesn t work so we have to get someone to fix that . Then the water they give you complimentary is a two small bottles . Mind you for a 440 dollar per night room that s what you get . Then talk about the house keeping apparently they will only do your room in the evening . You are out whole day then you come in and what do you know the house keeping will come in at the same time . Shower the hot water cold water taps don t work . Only nice thing is the swimming pool and nothing else .
You have to beg for everything they won t even give any handy tips or information on how to get to the marina or bus trips to Nadi . Apparently there is a pass that they can give the guest for the bus no they won t talk about it .
Buffett breakfast is very average so please don t purchase upfront . Overall there are nice places here so wouldn t do Hilton !!! Please save your money and stay elsewhere.
There is a difference in being laid back and lazy and no care for the profession . And that s exactly what s happening here .

Update After all that complaining they moved us to a nicer room with all amenities and it s closer to the Adults only pool and restaurant and really nice. The food in Koro is nice and food is very tasty and very enjoyable and the hospitality was nice . This was my expectation all along . So I don t understand why they have to place people without kids near the kids club . I requested for all this.

. They have given us extra water as well which is very nice . Special thanks to Charlotte the duty manager who did everything to make my stay comfortable.

The best service from the hotel my partner and I have ever had! The staff went above and beyond for us (shoutout to Mervin and Joe!) and made us feel so welcomed and apart of there family! Would return purely for that, hotel views are incredible and cocktails were so damn good! We even had a relaxing massage and facial which was unreal. Thankyou again for having us, it was such a wonderful experience. Vinaka

This is great if your looking for a private get away and a relax. We went in the off season so if was a bit quieter. The room we had was a ground floor unit with kitchen facing the ocean. It had a great BBQ and outdoor setting for four people and it's great to cook a few meals yourself as it can be quite expensive eating out every meal. Each block of four units has a little pool so it's great if you and some friends want to try and book together and have your own private area. The rooms are spread out so if you don't want to walk ask for a room close to the amenities.

We didnt stay here... walked down the beach and ate at the restaurant... I re proposed to my wife here and the staff helped me out... very special moment for me and the staff were troopers

Beautiful property! We arrived in Fiji from Los Angeles at 5 a.m. we got a transfer to the Hilton and our suite was ready! We stayed in 5107. This is a beautiful suite, very nice!! This room is the farthest away from the common lobby area. The room was beautifully decorated with a beautiful view. We stayed one night before our venture to the Yasawa Islands. The staff were very friendly and if you like pools? This resort has the BEST pools! The restaurant was nice, we are Hilton Gold Members so we get all the perks, which makes it nice. They have a golf cart shuttlethat will take you from your room down the very long path to the lobby or wherever you want to go. Make sure to get a BULA pass and ride the Bula Bus over to Port Denaru for shopping, food and a fun ride! All in all you COULD stay got this resort your entire Fiji vacation, but please venture out to the yasawa Islands, they are a must-see but this is a great place to start your Fijian vacation.

Bliss

Absolutely discusting!

Absolutely discusting!
Staff were rude - friend ordered a chicken sandwhich which came with no chicken when she advised the staff they laughed at her and were rude .
Food - tasteless and very oily out orange juice came with bugs in it .
No manners - cleaner walked into our room without any notice , didn't even knock .
Room - they provide you with a kettle but the only places to plug it in are on the floor ! Sink in the bathroom doesnt drain .
BLOODY BED SHEETS - our blanket had blood stains on it . When we spoke to the manager of house keeping who didnt seem to really care .
I would highly suggest staying some were else .

Bliss!

Villa room, private beach, cruises /activities,
pools, staff and views of the mountains and weather were all fantastic!

But ... If you don't mind the ordinary continental breakfast some of it from the can and the birds as your guests; or lunch or dinner at resort costing you almost $50 a plate with the company of Mosquitos; or the almost $1000 bond.
Oh and be careful with money transfer to your credit card using wi-fi.

Other then being Expensive..it's great!

Priced right for beachfront room and not overcrowded. Quick pick up drive to port for your island excursion trips. Room beautiful and clean. Bed very comfortable! Recommend this hotel for quick access to island excursions, which is very pricey to stay on islands overnight, so enjoy the day excursions for less, usually around $200 fijians with lunch, some include drinks even.! Coming from the states food was quite different. Try to eat in the port center if you can, less expensive than hotel! We had a car but the bula bus is very inexpensive and hotel is short ride!

Where do I start....

Where do I start....

the best thing about the hotel is the staff, especially the front desk. Nice pools.

First night upon arrival, the light was not working in our room. technician got in to fix quickly enough, but first impression was discounted. It's a 5 star resort. You expect things are done better. Bed was okay but pillows were definitely kinda worn out. We both had a sore neck the second day. You can tell the furnishing is quite dated. Cracks on the bath tub, tiny shower space. Nice balcony though facing the water as we booked a beach front studio. Toilet paper is 1ply which is not quite up to standards. No spare ones can be found. After we requested extra rolls, didn't get sent to the room until two days later. Fiji time!

Wouldnt bother with the food at the restaurants inside the hotel unless you have breakfast included already. Venture out to the marina, food is much better there with similar price and much better services.although the bands are nice at the adult only area. Some drinks and chill in the evening is real nice

All in all, the 5 star lux resort expectation was not really met. Would probably try some newer hotel chains next time.

Beautiful 5 star resort on Denarau Island. It has a long sandy beach with lots of open areas. Pools lack shade compared to the other resorts on the island. What separates this resort are the self contained units with BBQ facilities and some have plunge pools . Ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together. Handily located between the Sofitel Hotel Denarau and Port Denarau.

Good quality and well built rooms. Good layout. Beautiful pool. Great adults only area - though bad service by lazy staff.

Hotel is let down by lobby, Nuku restaurant and the little details.

Cleanliness was average. Infinity gas heater inside room was very noisy.

Lots of smiling staff but none paying attention.

Food at the Nuku restaurant was terrible. Bad service (though smiling and friendly). You don t even get a lime or lemon in a $18 corona!

Breakfast was not a good experience!

Reception/lobby is not air conditioned. Waits are long. Area too small. Staff is unfriendly and obviously overworked. And this is during low season - I can t imagine how bad it ll be during high season.

Hilton Hotel! Reputation shows it's level and provides upper class satisfaction all times. Our first time to use Hilton Hotel in Fiji Island and from the moment we arrived, we were satisfied with thw service. It takes literally 10 minutes to walk from reception to our room so it has express mini golf carts every 10 minutes for people to travel from one side to another in the resort. Pools were clean and nice with stunning view. even has private pool and our double suit room was spacious. Felt like another honeymoon and we are so satisfied with service and quality. Will be revisiting Fiji and our choice will be Hilton again. :)

Great hotel with large apartment-style rooms. We had a perfect one bedroom equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer. The service is great too and the location is close to port Denarau with easy access to tours. We really enjoyed our time here!!

Great stay, made all the better by staff - especially the friendliest concierge you'll ever meet, Epi!! He welcomed every Bula Bus back to the resort with a smile and a hearty 'Bula'! Our family thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality shown by him, as well as the rest of the staff!!

Money in SAFE were STOLEN!!!

Money in SAFE were STOLEN!!!
Our $4,000 Hong Kong dollar was stolen while we locked it in the safe of our room.
We spent two nights at Hilton. Upon the arrival of our room, we put all of our HKD cash (over $8,000) and a laptop in the safe. We didn't even touch the safe until the second night at 10.30 pm for packing up (we had to check out at 5.30 am the next day to catch our flight). We found the safe open and the HKD cash envelope was moved from where we put it. We check the amount, then realized that part of the money was taken. We called the hotel security immediately. A security guy told me that all the staff on day shift had gone home, which meant the investigation would have to be conducted the next day when me and my husband were already out of Fiji. He asked for my email address to let me know any updates. However, it's been a week. I heard NOTHING from anyone of this hotel!!!
BTW, when we checked out, we met the security guy again. He told us he checked our room entry record - ONLY hotel cleaners had entered our room during our stay. That hotel cleaner must have known the master code (reset code) of safe, which is usually only known by manager. My questions are: why a cleaner had known the master code and was able to open it, who else may have known, and whether the hotel manager involved in the theft.
I would suggest you reconsider your choice to spend your lovely holiday at this hotel. It may become a disaster!

Fantastic beach resort. Staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive. The adult only complex is the highlight (for those without kids): a pool, beach bar and fabulous restaurant are the highlights.

We stayed for a week at the Hilton and had a lovely trip. Our room was as described, spacious and clean with all of the amenities required in the kitchen.

We found the house keeping service to be good however late in the day (often around 5pm) and the linen was always inconsistent - despite having 5 people booked in our 2 bedroom apartment most days recieved only 4 towels. The extra towel would arrive quickly when requested.

The pools and restaurants were clean and pleasant to relax in, however staff around the pool were scarce and often would have to leave the pool area and go to the main restaurant for a drink should you wish it.

We found the nanny/kids club to be great and safe environment. We didnt know what to expect prior to arrival but found very professional staff who happily cared for our son and followed our instructions.

The hotel is very spacious and the staff is very friendly
There are golf carts available at any time
The room is clean, the facilities and services have five-star standards
Restaurant is a bit expensive
You can buy a one-day ticket for the Bula bus and go to the pier to buy dinner is also an option

I Don't mind paying a premium for a quality product and service but I can't help but feel like this place needs a major overhaul in many areas including service. Room was tired and worn out. Dirty toilet and shower when we checked in. EVERY day there was a problem with ordering food or drinks and we were simply forgotten and had to go elsewhere in the resort to find an alternative. For example, went to sit down for breakfast and ordered omelets and they just didn't come. The coffee came but only the jug...no cups, no tea spoons. That's only one example on one day. Every day was a similar experience with regard to service. Staff just aren't trained or interested. We just knew what to expect on a daily basis and it eventually became a joke when we'd bet on what would be forgotten next. Everything is GROSSLY over priced. Paid a premium for "beachfront" and got top floor about 50m from black dirty sand and muddy water which you cannot swim in. Paid extra for "premium" wi fi which was "ideal for streaming" and it struggled to open Facebook posts. Ordered a bottle of wine with dinner one night and then the next night, in a different restaurant, the exact same bottle of wine was about 30% more expensive. This is when a GLASS of wine is over $20 on its own. If your kids like ice cream, be prepared to pay $10 for a "scoop" (a spoonful...literally a spoonful!) Bed was great and pool area is very nice. You just feel like you're getting ripped off at every opportunity. Would not come back even if accomodation was free

Friendly service, luxurious, good food, right on the beach, multiple choices for food, buggys to zoom you around the hotel, multiple pools, organised activities, free kayaks and paddleboards, located nearby airport.

My husband and I had an overall amazing experience. Staff friendly. We loved the layout of the place. We would highly recommend the 1bedroom self contained apartment with the lap pool that only 4 rooms share. 90% of the time we had the pool to ourselves. It's also great to have your own BBQ as this cuts the cost of dining out as this can be expensive. We dined out every night in a different restaurant and found food quality and service excellent. As we had been to Fiji before we knew to bring as much of our own alcohol as possible. This also cuts down the costs. Would definitely return

Lovely hotel, great staff with a real desire to help! The staff made us feel comfortable and did everything they could to make the stay as easy as possible with our infant. The restaurants and bar service is quite slow. Sometimes miso than I
I'd expect from "island time". Sometimes items were forgotten and staff needed a reminder. It was odd to have no minibar at all.
However, the rooms were spacious, and the Hilton looked like one of the better hotels on Denarau island.

The service is poor, compared with Sheraton or Sofitel or any other resorts in Denarau. Some staff is rude to visitors. Longest check in and check out time. First class facilities. Awesome Fiji style Live band.

We had an enjoyable stay at this resort. There were a few minor hiccups at check in and with the original room we were given but once that was fixed the rest of the week was good. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a kitchenette and BBQ. There were plenty of pool's to cool down in. The Bula Bus that takes you around the resort is great if you don't want to walk. The people are lovely and very friendly. I want to make special mention about Percy at the Koro poolside bar, he looked after us keeping the drinks coming with a smile. Sarah at the Koro restaurant was very nice and Sam and his team at the Koro looked after us at breakfast. The breakfasts were amazing, plenty of it and very tasty. Amino helped us alot, thank you for being so kind. The only real downfall was the prices of the food and alcohol. It was very expensive, and would recommend eating outside the resort, which is a shame, as the Maravi restaurant was very nice and the food very tasty. Overall we had a nice time and would recommend staying their.

Do not eat here. Overpriced is expected, but disastrous quality and service is not. Example: ordered 3 pizzas and then an hour later (!) they brought one of them cold, asked for patience for the second and apologized for not having the ingredients for the third. On the plus side: Fiji is beautiful, staff is friendly and our penthouse room was nice. Although it takes a 10+ min walk to get the kids to a pool.

When we initially arrived we did not have a good experience. A chinese receptionist named Silvia checked us in on Wednesday morning and placed us in a 1 bed room 5004, which is in the ADULTS ONLY section furthest room away possible from the family area we needed with our 3 yr old. Bearing in mind the resort is 6kms from one end to the other, a 3 year old is not going to walk that far to the pool and back every day, there is an in house resort Bula Bus which runs on Fiji time though. I asked her if we could move rooms for convenience and 2 beds before unpacking, or move the following day, to which she replied "NO!, the whole hotel is booked out" I told her that as an ex-hospitality owner I found that hard to believe in off peake season midweek and hung up. We then went to reception and asked one of the happy friendly locals 'Amelia' before Silvia tried to head us off, she told us the hotel wasn't booked out and of course we could move rooms, we chose to upgrade our room close to Nuku restaurant and they delivered a child's bed and made it up with fresh linen for us. After this first hiccup the rest of the stay went smoothly.
The Hilton is looking very tired in the main central family areas I felt it was letting the staff down who were so friendly everyday. My 3 year old was shouting Bula (hello) to everyone, he made quite an impression on a few staff especially his friend on the Bula Bus which he renamed the Party bus because the driver had his radio playing. The sunsets were amazing and the captain cook dinner cruise was entertaining and informative.

A small print out of the themed menu nights and entertainment in the the resort world be a good idea to inform guests of 'what's on' each day, as there was zero communication for this and we missed some things we had no idea were happening during our short stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Koro restaurant 5 . Rated 4 as comparing it to Intercontinental where we'd just been to a conference. Here slightly let down by small things like pool decks had been left too long between maintenance, fittings chipped in room. If we'd done it the other way would prob rate higher

I was here a few years ago, and it was great - the rooms, the restaurants, the location and the land it was on. The staff were all great, especially Simile, who joined in on a table tennis game, claiming to be the world champion... wasn't quite though...
And there were like 7 pools or something, plus a section of private beach.

Great accomodation and experience. Staff were friendly. The port put a bit of a dampener on the ambience. Recommended dor those who like a bit of luxury living. Food was much better priced and great access to the local village.

WOW, book your stay here. We were in paradise and were a little concerned based on what we saw online if this would cut it. This hotel exceeded our wildest expectations and is the best place to stay in Denauru for sure. Incredible hotel with an unforgettable experience. We're from USA and had never been to this part of the world. The grounds are immaculate and the staff was incredible. So friendly and we could not have been more impressed. There is an adults only restaurant that we ate breakfast at every morning with a perfect view and had dinner with live music a few nights. We took the Bula Bus into town and stocked up with some wine and water (highly recommend), we also ate dinner at the port where the market is at a restaurant called the Bonefish Grill and we'd highly recommend this place as well. Wonderful trip!!!

Friendly staff, renovated beachfront suites, decent food. It's everything you'd expect from a beach side resort in Fiji. Enjoyed it even more as we stayed just before the peak season kicked in so it was quiet. Also ordered a BBQ set to enjoy in the room.
