The rooms are tiny and need urgent renovation (carpet filled with stains, low-end bedding). The air conditioning makes a noise not possible and it does not heat at all when you put it to the bottom. The amenities absent. In short, the quality of a formula 1 at a high price. The location and friendliness of the staff can not catch up. I strongly advise against

Unfortunately, I cannot agree more with Asem Hamad, one of the previous reviewers. Moreover, they didn't give any room upgrade & refuse to let us use the executive lounge even though we have Gold hhonors card. No complimentary water is provided inside our room. Not a pleasant experience at all!!

The hotel needs to be renovated BUT the quality of the service makes it up. I was quite impressed by how the staff is always helpful, nice and polite. I was disappointed by the room (too old and dark) but then I was upgraded to a nicer room when I complained. Everyone was so nice ( from the reception, to the staff at the restaurant, the security team or even the young man at the pool). Plus, the food was really good. The hotel is really close to the subway. I would definitely stay again at this hotel.

Great hotel, great service and right in the middle of the island for most attractions. The own restaurant and family rooms have two TVs, a sofa bed, two queen beds and a decent bathroom with a shower and toilet. Own coffee / tea, kettle and fridge. Cost us in great hotel restaurants, bar and shops in 1st floor.

Spent 5 nights in a family room with my kids and other family members. Very pleasant stay. Despite having a few issues on the first day the team went over and above to ensure things were rectified and offered very generous alternatives as a goodwill gesture. A very big thank you to all staff especially Mohamadou (Chakur) and Bru from security. Both are an asset to the Hilton Metropole team.

Very child friendly hotel with a reasonably sized pool, good range of eateries and local amenities. Fantastic location to explore some of London's sights. We look forward to returning again. Big thank you to all.

From the check-in, to the check-out it was stressful experience, and a nightmare m, Cleaning team including their supervisors shouts loud and screams at us and more over cleaning ladies they don t speak English and communication is broken. And they are not that clean the bed were dirty once we checked to the both rooms.

At first Check-in was to a tiny, outdated room in the corner it was located in the second floor of the tower. It was like a through back to 70s of the last century. From the wallpaper to the painting to the air conditioning controllers (that why I wanted to suggest for them to give a very cheap rooms with marketing strategies to experience 70s life). And waited for 2 hours for our luggage to be moved to the room.
I was informed only when I arrived that there is a new rooms with extra payment, I stayed at this room for one night and it was the worst night ever. I woke up in the morning and upgraded my room earlier so, I ll be checked to the new room around 3 pm but I was checked to the new room around 5:40 pm after stressful negotiations with Hilton team. As I checked in to the new room in the west wing I asked for iron board and I had to wait for 3 hours to receive one single iron board.
I ve never had worse than this experience. Even when checking out we had to wait for around an hour for our luggage to be moved to the lobby. And I ll say it agin it s a nightmare.

Nicely located near Paddington Station station and the A40. Function rooms are well priced and is what you would expect from a Hilton hotel. The area has many food and drink facilities that are open v late just minutes away. I have stayed there previously and the rooms especially near the top have amazing views of the area. Sky bar at the top is also nice and a must visit for overnight guests. Simple put, it is a Hilton.

Service isn't quite professional/friendly, rooms are a bit outdated, breakfast in the restaurant is extremely busy. breakfast in the lounge has a quite limited offer. Would only recommend because of the cheap price.

It is very clear that Hilton just can't be bothered ensuring their customers have a welcoming experience. The whole hotel, outside of the public areas is tatty and tired, my room felt like a dorm, with 3 single beds, with a massive, empty minibar covered in stickers or sticker residue, the bathroom desperately needed a deep clean, the towel shelf was half detached from the wall, the paint on the front of the bath was peeling, the shower was limp and lukewarm, the beds were hard and the pillows average, the security bolt on my door was sheared off, which just shows that the hotel doesn't give a damn about their guests.
I did like the mirror in the bathroom for some peculiar reason.
The check in process was slow and the breakfast was no better than average, with rubbery fried eggs and soggy bacon.
All in all I cannot think of a single thing to recommend this hotel, and certainly not at the price we paid.

Have stayed here several times over the past few months. A short walk from Paddington station. The refurbished rooms are really nice, but the older rooms are starting to show their age. Very clean, and really helpful staff. Recommend asking for refurbished rooms if you have the choice.

The worst Hotel I have stayed in ever! It was worth 20 pounds! The room they had given me was so small we couldn't even put our suitcase and it smelled like someone just had crapped all over it! After much arguments they changed our room and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever! The matress was too small for the frame and thus the pillows would get stuck and you would find ur head between the matress and the bed frame in the middle of the night. The staff are rude and need to learn how to smile to a customer! I wouldn't even give it 1 star...I paid 200 pounds a night and the experience was the worst experience of my life! NO MATTER WHAT DO NOT GO THERE! Location is great but you need to find other hotels with great locations.

As a Hilton Gold Member, I booked for the cheapest room on their website. As a Hilton gold member it is said they will upgrade their gold members to a deluxe room but that did not happen.

However, they did provide me with a recently refurbished room in the same class on the higher floors of the hotel. The room was small but enough just two people, it wasn't the cleanest of hotels.

For the last few days, I have also paid for one of their more expensive
and largest suites, known as the Octagon Suites. The Suites was big, good for families. It had a big living room with two sofas with a small dining table and a big bathroom in the master bedroom. However the suites are a bit dated, which is fairly normal in London and the room is reasonably priced. It does get noisy on the weekends as it is located in the lower floors.

My overall experience in the hotel is satisfactory, its prices are reasonable for this location. The buffet breakfast is good as it was free for Hilton Gold Members. It is in a good location as it is not far from 3 tube stations, which are Edgware Road Paddington and Marble Arch.

The hotel had a face lift in the last couple of years but some rooms and floors are not furbished yet, so my advice is you get yourself into one of those newer rooms if you can.

Good location, but thats all!

Good location, but thats all!
Noisy rooms, they been refubrishing this rooms ever since, in late or early hours, drilling and hammering, you can never have a proper rest.
Many defects in the rooms itself, fridge doesnt work, broken lamps, poor TV chanels choice.
Also, staff badly coordinated, always forgets something, borring breakfast, etc. Wouldnt recommend:/

The hotel room was very clean and the location is quite strategic. The food was good. You could have a walk in the park located near the hotel in the morning. It is also located near grocery store where you could buy what you need. You can also find some branded stores near the hotel.

Very very bad hotel I have ever seen. Drinking water is mandatory for every hotel but here there's is no free drinking water. Treatment at reception very very bad as we dint get any positive response for a reasonable request. The swipe doesn't work for the room to open. We had struggle at least 10 times to succeed. Asked for the key replacement they asked me pull the door and swipe the it works. I paid 315GB per night to pull the door. The best part is even the it dint work. Very bad toilet and cleaning service. Staff in breakfast area was good. I don't know even after paying so much money we get very bad treatment and service. Over all not recommended.

I was staying at the Metropole to attend training nearby. I did use many of the hotel service but the one I used were excellent. The sports bar service reasonable quick food and the room are well equipped and we'll decorated.

A large busy hotel, conveniently located just a short walk from Paddington railway station. Good service and rooms. Swimming pool very busy, seems a little small for such a large hotel. Breakfast was top notch, even had black pudding and haggis, but there can be a wait to be seated.

Fantastic hotel. Had a great stay. Highly recommend upgrading to a suite, great views over London. Breakfast is always a must at the Hilton and despite there being thousands of people eating everything was well stocked and cleared quickly. Will stay again

The service and the food were fantastic. The room was not. Lights would short out. The faucet in the tub leaked spilling out into the rest of the bathroom. The toilets ran for ten minutes after flushing. And the carpet was poorly installed. There were gaps between the where carpet and the walls met and you could see the bare floor.

Again, food and service was great. The rooms need major renovations. And we stayed in one of the suites.

Staff needs to be caring and understanding, i got a bad experience here during my 4 days stay, unexpected from this place. stay and room were ok, for the price at paddington. When any hotel grows in business it looses personalized touch with people and they become robots just doing their job and dont care about being human

This was a well placed hotel for our purposes on this visit and mostly met our needs but even in an executive room it is old and tired. There needs to be a major upgrade to both the rooms and services to entice me to return. Generally I have been happy with Hilton but this visit was disappointing.

Amazing staff. Great breakfast. Nice environment. Good location. Rooms that haven't been refurbished (11 floor for instance) looks old fashion. Edgware station or Paddington (express train for Heathrow international airport) are walking distance.

Except by the mini bar was not working, even after asked to fix it, this was a pleasant stay because of other qualities of the hotel.

If libanese or Arabic food is your thing, there are a plenty of options around.

Its ok

Hotel super well located, just in front of the metro station. The rooms are small but comfortable, ah! and with the best and most varied breakfast buffet in London, although it is very large, it feels very cozy. Highly recommended

The hotel is close to the train and easy to reach everywhere. However the room we were given needed minor renovation, the service in the lobby underneath every review we waited almost an hour to get 2 simple servings. At least we were compensated

Hey fellow Americans!

Hey fellow Americans!

The little panel with the nob saying hot/cold is the actual thermostat. That's so cool and old-school!

There's a window you can open in your room!

They have us a tray of fruit on our first day!

The room is small but nice and clean, and it's within walking distance of so much fun stuff.
