Placed a collection on my credit report for a bogus ADT Protect Your Home security contract where I was absent upon installation. I ended up winning the credit card dispute against ADT, and now the losers are trying to collect on a contract I never signed! The supervisor was so dumb he kept saying the "contract states you owe the money" when I NEVER SIGNED THE CONTRACT! There is a special place in hell for these soulless demons. I may have a fraud case, FTC will let me know soon!

I am a victim of a stolen identity and fraud. My info was stolen and sold maybe 6-7 years ago and despite having a permanent alert on my credit, stuff falls through the cracks and I have to close accounts I did not open frequently. Very rarely do they make it to the point of collections. I have dealt with many collections agencies and Hillcrest and Davidson has proven to be the most unprofessional and outright disrespectful group I have ever dealt with. They have treated me as if I am a criminal vs. the victim, speaking to me with disdain. Terribly unpleasant people. It has also taken almost 2 months for them to get me the necessary paperwork to take to the police so that I can get the fraudulent debt off of my credit. It took me following up multiple times to finally receive next steps. My experience with this group has been quite painful.

I ended being sent to Hillcrest Davidson by an unfortunate oversite to a contract that was ended early, ...it happens. To be perfectly honest I thought that it was a scam initially, but did my due diligence and found out that I was in the wrong. I was super hesitant to have to call after reading all the reviews, to my surprise it was a very easy and professional interaction. Jacob, the gentleman who assisted me was very informative, helpful, and pleasant to speak with. I had an excellent interaction and I'm sorry that the rest of these people did not.

As an employee of this company, I am extremely happy with them. This company managed to train me in only 2 days, and once the 3rd day came around, I was READY for these phones! Its so simple for myself, and anyone willing to learn, to become a decent debt collector. Anyone who doesn t make the cut is just NOT cut out for collecting! I ve seen people with no experience (like myself) come in and just make things look easy (like myself)! Not to mention the fellow employees! They are all so kind, ESPECIALLY JOSE, JOEL AND SEAN! It has been such a pleasure to be a part of the Hillcrest Family. I will stay with this company, and I have no intentions of finding a different career, when this one is SO easy.

would give zero stars if i could!! was contacted yesterday by a women stating she was trying to collect a 500 dollar debt from wells fargo from 2014 however i closed that account with a zero balance. this lady told me to go through my records and get back to her in 24 hours or i was going to be sued. looking into this further i found emails confirming the closure of the account and no negative or collects type notices. when i spoke with her today and told her i think the claims are false and would like proof of who she actually is she stated she was not going to provide me with anything and that she did not have to then hung up on me.

This is one of the most difficult companies to deal with and their employees are rude, bitter, angry and very obtuse. They don't seem to understand their job, are uncooperative and lie. I asked for proof that a letter was sent to me, they refuse to provide it. To me, this means they DID not do it. I have been hung up on, called names, treated like pond scum and lied to. I am filing official complaints against them and their shady business practices. Horrible, horrible place.

it depends on one's experience. not everyone is on the same page. when you say they're rude, its probably because there are things they can't disclose without following proper protocol. when you asked for itemized bill, just don't waste your time because they have on file of when they sent you a letter via post. depending whom your asking, they might give you another one but overall they're not going. companies like ADT, they don't send you to collection agency but the authorized dealers do. ADT has assigned 3rd party to come to your property to install equipment and such. when you say the company supposed to come off your credit, depending on the amount its not going to. they can if both parties are in pleasant mood. all i am saying be tedious in what you do. don't get into something if you're dealing with 3rd party or the 1st party. its a huge difference. 1st party don't place you into collection only 3rd party. Like ADT is the 1st party and Protect Your Home is 3rd party. as long you see authorized dealers or 3rd parties, read the fine prints because it'll bite in your ass.

Placed a false collection. I talked to the company that it said was from them and they tell me they didn't place a collection. Call HDA and they say I have to have proof from my account. I show them proof and still they don't do anything. Hours are wrong when u even look it up. They only work when they want to.

I personally can't say anything bad about this company. Travis was who I dealt with he help me and gave me information that help me with my collection. If all idebt collectors were like him it be so wonderful i paid my debt and got a deletion letter from Joel the same day. I have nothing bad to say.

I called twice in one month requesting an itemized statement for the debt they filed on my credit report as I would like to take care of it they proceeded to tell them that I would need to contact the company when I informed them that by law they are to have an itemized statement on file from the company that is alleging that I owe them a debt if not on file then they need to submit a request from that company. They continued over talk me and cut me off asking would I pay it or not. I asked to speak with a manager the employee told me speaking with a manager will not help you out so just pay it. I asked again for a manager as I did not want to believe this company was representing itself in such a negative manner the employee hung up on me. I call again and got another gentlemen but when I proceeded to tell him my issue his only concern was about the debt and told me again that speaking to a manager would not help me and hung on me. all within a 30 minute period. over a so called debt of $127. This company needs a serious lesson on customer service and needs to hire better employees. I understand collecting debt is never an easy job and you deal with all kinds of people that are not always friendly but treating every customer like the bad guy when I am TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF THIS DEBT but I simply want a itemized statement for my own records as I keep account of what I spend.

I never got that itemized statement and decided to pay this acount anyway thinking it would hurry up and get them out of my life. was not able to verify if the account actually belonged to me or not as this company is really bad in accuracy and customer service. the 1 thing i asked was for a paid in full letter reflecting the current balance which is $0 Jess Moreno sends me a letter with the balance reflecting as if it was never paid off but my checking account says differently. when asked about it she states that is how their letters come and cannot be altered but if the credit bureau reads it thoroughly they will come to the conclusion it was paid off. I submitted the letter to quick score and they stated the letter still reflects as the account not paid off as i knew it would. I have been calling and have gotten no help or rectification. you have gotten your money all i need is one simple letter and we can NEVER speak again hopefully. i have contacted the better business bureau and expect one way or another that this be resolved.

He informed me that my debt would be taken care of - from removal of my credit to paid-in-full letter - from the get-go i didn't have to argue, there was no struggle, everything was so smooth, great customer service! I mean it's not customer service it's collections they were helpful once I was ready to actually do something to get it resolved they're not going to do anything that they're not legally required to do, particularly if ur being confrontational and tell them u don't plan to pay a dime. I tried disputing it with the bureaus and it was just validated and the effect reamined the same. If u want to fix it on ur credit you've got to go through hillcrest. But they never lied to me. They told me what was goimg to happen to my credit before it was reported and i didnt believe them. Finally, they could have allowed me to pay in full, which I called in to do i was ready with my card, and still updated the item on my credit report as simply a paid collection but the rep actually took the initiative not only to offer me a reduction but a full deletion with the credit bureaus as if it was never there. I was treated with the same amount of respect that I gave and was able to see my credit score shoot back up over 80 points. I understand people in collections don't like what they're hearing and of course the collection agency is the easiest target to take it out on and find fault with, I'm just glad once I was actually ready to be proactive in the situation they were still willing to work with me after the hard time I'd given them in the past

This company deserves zero stars..but I had to click on at least one to post this review. I recently went through a divorce and have a credit score of 780. My ex husband pulled a stunt that sent me to collections for $172.00...which I would have paid to clear my credit. The problem was, when I asked Chad Daily, the Hillcrest Davidson rep, when this would come off my credit report as a collection, he said, "well...don't get sent to collections!" He was not only rude...he was hateful. I hung up and called the creditor to find out if I could pay directly, and unfortunately, I couldn't. So, I"m going to have to pay an attorney to handle this for me, to insure that the collection gets taken off of my credit report.

The most important part of an organization is Management! The managers are very hands on and willing to help at any given time which is rare. Most people want a hand out but they care. They can be a little intense at times. They only want you to succeed. Mostly men which is fine. Over all, great place to work. Just do your job. The hours are fine if they suit your life. okay , so this is a collection service but they are collecting the money because YOU failed to pay ( for whatever reason). I had to deal with them because of a bill I forgot about due to change in service. I paid once I got the notice. But this company was very easy to deal with, not threatening from the start, and wanted to resolve the matter peacefully. Very friendly and the dealt with same guy both times I called. He remembered the conversation from day before and made it a priority to take care of it.

I had Safe Home Security for 6 years. Cancelled my service, got a confirmation letter account was closed, sold the house and moved to Florida a year ago. Somehow Safe Home Security made a mistake and sent my account to collections a year after it was closed. Safe Home acknowledged the error and are trying to fix it. I did reach out to Hillcrest Davidson to try to get this squared away. It's not their fault that another merchant reported my account to them in error, however after giving Hillcrest Davidson a call, I am appalled at the customer service I received from them. I spoke with an associate named Travis who was extremely condescending. He was extremely rude until he pulled up my Safe Home information and found the error himself. Then I asked to speak with a manager and they connected me with Joel who was even worse. I told him I wanted to complain about the customer service I received from Travis. Joel told me they do collections and there isn't any customer service involved...........now it all makes sense.

Steer clear of this company!!!!

There is a clear misunderstanding of how to treat people here. Just because an account is sent to their company does not mean there is a debt. Their unwillingness to listen hinders their ability to be effective. If you are a merchant looking to hire a company to do collections work, I would take note of all the negative reviews. Trends don't lie.

First it was "we did get payment from your client, but only cut checks once a month so we will send it then" a month later, they said" oh the payment came in right after the cut off date so we will send it next month" Never happened. Then they claimed they check my customer sent them was not for the correct amount. Complete waste of 9 months. Do NOT hire them to collect anything.

So I've been in the process of eliminating all debt and rebuilding my credit. Randomly 2 days ago I checked my credit report and found an unknown outstanding debt. I looked into it and discovered it was turned over to Hillcrest Davidson for collections. I began looking into them and to be honest, was super hesitant about calling due to the overwhelming number of bad reviews lol. But, part of adulting is dealing with credit bureaus so I bit the bullet and relunctantly called in, almost positive I would soon experience one of the customer service horror stories I had been reading about in the reviews. The agent who answered my call was Chris, and to my extreme satisfaction and suprise he was INCREDIBLY friendly and professional! He was very helpful and diligent in finding and pulling up my information, and very patient in answering any and all of my questions. He tracked down the debt info (which took a little bit of digging due to how old this debt was along with some other complicating factors) and told me the options I had for paying it and what would happen following my payment. I proceeded to make the payment, get the needed information about moving forward, and close my debt account with this collection group, all in about 5 or 10 mins. Overall, I genuinely could'nt be more satisfied with the help and customer service I received when I called in today. The only better scenario would've been me not having the debt in the first place! But the debt was my fault, so I'm not going to hold that against the company just doing their job to collect it.I truly can't say a bad thing about my experience with this company or the rep who helped me! 5 stars!
