I was quoted a price for a 3 bedroom apt.$1,235, by Shanna, I dropped off my application 24 hours later. Shalimar took my application with my processing fee of $149.00, she advised a first floor may be available for $75.00 cheaper which I replied I like cheaper. 48 hours later I was notified all went through and Shalimar advised my monthly rent would be $1,320.00 I told her I was quoted $1,235.00. She said that apt is no longer available. As I tried to tell her what I was quoted she continued to over talk me, I was getting upset to the point of tears. She thought I was being nasty, but in fact I was blindsided. I explained I either wanted an apt. for $1,235 a month or my $149.00 back. She advised they do not refund. My point, was I was never told when I dropped off my application that it would be $1,320 a month. Had I been told that I would have never dropped off my application. I asked to speak to the property manger, and I was told she was not available. After further discussion Shalimar, who is the assistant property manger, hung up on me. When I came back to my office after lunch, I had a voicemail from Shalimar saying she spoke to her property manager, Christy, and they would be able to give me $400,00 off of my April rent or $49.00 back. Neither option was acceptable to me. Understandably I was upset the rest of the day. I waited two days and called to speak to Christy the property manager and was advised she was not in. I left my contact information. I proceeded to call 2 more times to no avail was able to speak to Christy. I received in the mail and invoice receipt from Century advising they would refund $50.00 within two weeks. My whole point is who would put down a deposit on something they cannot afford? The customer service was appalling!! I am a customer service representative, and if I ever hung up on a client I would be terminated. The other issue is not receiving a phone call back from the Property Manager Christ. I would be very wary of this place and what they portray. Looks are definitely deceiving.
