Great resort, with excellent facilities and lovely staff
Very very friendly, polite, and helpful staff!!!
Breakfast spread was very good.
Hotel should provide shuttle to port!
Great rooms and friendly staff. Restaurants are expensive and rooms offer no microwave and bowels
A great place to stay. Amazing staff and restaurants. An adults only area with pool and restaurant if you want to get away from the kids. Fantastic kids creche but also quite expensive rooms and single beds pushed together is not what I expected for the price. No toilet brush or note pad and pen in the rooms is also a let down but all in all I enjoyed my stay and if I return I will probably stay here. Many thanks to all the staff for the amazing smiles and service. Venaka vaka levu.
Awesome staff over the different departments and different restaurants. Jay and Niko made our day today, wonderful service by the pool. Bus drivers and concierge are great!!! Great meals as well. Very well impressed. We drove around the island and stayed in 4 different resorts and this is far the best. We will recommend. The apartments are wonderful!!! We ll be back!!! Thank you!!!
Super relaxation resort. Especially if you are in the adults only section.
Rooms are superb, great facilities, wonderful staff. Stunning outlook and crystal clear pools. Kids loved it. We loved it.
Over rated with sub par service (compared to the rest of fiji) and over priced.
This pretty much sums up our 4 nights at the Hilton. We were in Fiji for 2 weeks and spend the final days here after having our wedding at another resort.
The service is extremely poor compared to the several other places I've stayed at across Fiji in the past (travel to Fiji twice a year) and given this is over $600FJD per night.
The check in service by the front desk staff (first impression) was very lackluster. No real welcome or friendly smiles. It was all very transactional. No porter on hand to help with our bags (4 large and 2 carry ons) so had to carry everything up the stairs to the reception. There were cockroaches in our room which wasn't pleasant.
The service at restaurant was unfriendly with staff constantly asking about room numbers. Breakfast costs $50FJD pp. The bar service was great and friendly with attentive staff. Cocktails start around $28FJD, Long Island's are $38FJD and happy hour cocktails are 2 for $36FJD. Room service charge is $10FJD and a bottle of water is $8FJD. So really recommend buying elsewhere.
Overall impression is the Hotel is beautiful and the rooms are well appointed and spacious. But the service is underwhelming especially when room service constantly walk into your room at 8.30am while you're asleep.
New and large contemporary rooms with great bathrooms - huge tub, shower and great quality fittings. Friendliest staff in the world, two pools and a small variety of restaurants.
What a wonderful dream vacation. The Fijians are very courteous, friendly people that go out of their way to make you feel special. The Hilton offers all the amenities, restaurants and surroundings to maker stay so pleasant that you want stay here forever.
omgsh everything about Hilton Fiji beach resort & spa was soo amazing. Starting from our check in at th lobby' the staffs were soo helpful & yes everything was done at th very short period of time. Totally felt inlove with room we were in since we could see th ocean view & it was all so breathtaking. Not forgetting th food was really worth it @ nuku restaurant & there staffs were soo friendly. once again Thank you soo much Hilton for having us. Love & appreciate ths sm Room604 Mr Etuate Saukuru Family
haven't checked out the other resorts here but I can't fault it one bit
Highly recommended place to stay in Fiji (the best 5 star resort on the island i believe). New, beautiful rooms, choose one with beach views if you can - you can walk right out to a beautiful grassy area with chairs, hammocks, etc.
2 pools, 1 adults only and 1 for families/kids. Kids club seemed well organised and popular. There are some general planned activities sparsely throughout the day within the resort complex and the resort is situated close to the Denarau Port to take various cruise tours etc (1 dollar bus every 10 minutes very handy) + a Waterpark.
TIP: The restaurants here are ok, but stay here and you can walk around to other 5 star resorts like the Sofitel, Westin, Sheraton 5-10 minutes up the beach as well for other restaurant and bar options (we only realised on our last day).
1 complaint to Hilton is that the Hotel did not host any specific traditional ceremonies in traditional attire like fire lighting, dancing, historic re-enactments, etc - we saw a glimpse in a restaurant one night but this should have been widely publicised and promoted to all guests - other hotels on the island do this much better - you should be immensely proud to host something every night or two as it would really showcases the Fijian culture and create memorable moments for all your guests.
Ugly, I do not recommend it, the bathtub in the room was broken underneath and the room flooded. The lobby is very poor compared to other hotels in the area, the show of the restaurant is very regular and on that side of the island the beach is ugly, has many small stones and the sand is gray. I would not go back, would prefer to look for another hotel
I thought this hotel was amazing! It s absolutely beautiful and the staff are friendly! Rooms are spacious and lovely.
Great hotel, stayed in 2 bedroom penthouse near Koro adults only pool and restaurant. Koro had great food and incredibly friendly staff
It is the only resort on Denarau that has multiple villas so does not have the Hi de Hi feel about it, especially if you are in villa 25 or greater, down the adult end away from the scream kids mob. Its our place of choice for our stays in Denarau
It s really hard to give this property a fair review as the location & property grounds are beautiful. But the food is absolutely atrocious. Time after time we were served up inedible food to the point we refused to eat from within the hotel grounds. Simple things like chips were not cooked through etc. The rooms while from a far looked nice close up there were so many problems - to many to overlook for us unfortunately. The poor food alone would prevent me from returning in the future with my family. It s such a pitty because the staff were so beautiful and caring.
An old modest resort .. It is characterized by the swimming pools and the beach is very beautiful .. The cleanliness is medium and slow .. It is considered a family hotel .. The residence is in two rooms, an integrated kitchen and laundry equipment .. The characteristic of it is the presence of two rooms suite. There is a transfer to Dinaaro port
The resort is a modest old resort
characterized by swimming pools and the beach is very beautiful .. Cleanliness is average and slow .. Is a family hotel .. Accommodation in two rooms integrated kitchen and laundry appliances .. Featured in the presence of sweet two rooms we have bus bring from port
The Hilton looked a bit tired from first view, the bar and restaurant a bit old fashioned now. Great views at sunset from the bar deck. Live music was a big plus, they were very good. Food average. Nice staff.
As a local, this is by the best. Relaxing environment, staffs are super friendly
Not really worth the money.
Facility is substandard at best. Water drips from aircon vent on top of bedroom to my face and sound-proof is foreign concept. Toilet door is half broken too.
Staffs are either incompetent or understaffed. Peak phone waiting time for reception is over 10 minutes and transferred call often get timed out. So ordering room service was quite a challenge.
It was almost laughable when I get a recycled amenity, which I could figure out by weight difference.
On top of all of above, staffs knocking our door every 20 minutes to see if they can start cleaning on the day of check-out which was lovely.
Very nice tidy pleasent resort to stay when you go holidays in Denarau island in Fiji, Staff are very helpful and respectful to the guests and try their best guest having wonderful time in Fiji, Transport between different parts of resort is convinient with Gulf carts. Different dinning options for Asia, international, meditarinian and small bites food.
I didn't stay, but I stopped by a rental car. I usually put it in and shop at the store inside, and the beach was beautiful.
Amazing place, good value for money. Very close to port denarau.
The Service at Nuku Restaurant and Bar, in particular by Seini, Jese and Daniel, was absolutely fabulous! They were so obliging and courteous at all times. Nothing was a problem or too much trouble.
The Band was great entertainment and the music was enjoyed.
The staff, especially the above mentioned three are real assets to the resort and lovely to be around!
Bula! the staff is VERY friendly. the Rooms are very cozy and have wonderful views of the South Pacific Ocean. each Villa building has it's own small pool just for the guests. there is a shuttle that will drive you all around the resort. they have an adult only restaurant and pool area which is very much appreciated. Overall this resort is very accommodating.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Very nice facilities both in the room and as part of the resort. It was my partners' birthday and the staff organised a little cake and card for her in the room. The only thing we didn't like were the sliding doors in the bathroom, very hard to pull and wouldn't fully close. There were also some stains on kitchen counter and the bins were not emptied on the 2nd day.
Great place for the family, spread out, so if you don't like to walk, it's not for me.
Love this place. Pools are awesome. Perfect ocean view from d rooms. Clean rooms. Clean beach nd easily accesible
Exquisite place to stay and they have wonderful bure !!
Rooms were OK, and clean, but for the price and the prices of food and drinks, the service is way below standard. We waited for food for ages and had an order lost on two separate occasions.
The shuttle golf carts do not run regular enough mainly because drivers sit and wait or text on their phones.
Housekeeping staff were very humble and friendly, we came back to our room to find an awesome "dog" made from new bath towels left on our daughters bed.
The beds were very cosy and comfortable, and the heavy blockout curtains were great for making the room nice and dark. Great for catching up on sleep after a long day traveling.
The hotel is located on the beach. A nice, friendly and serviceable hotel
Stayed here in February on a layover to NZ. Staff were amazing and very friendly! they had great advice to offer and were always available.
The grounds were very well kept and they had a golf cart to drive us around where needed.
We had an issue with our sink in our room and we were immediately upgraded and moved. The rooms were beautiful and very clean.
Hotel was walking distance to the marina which had a ton of shops and restaurants.
The best place I have ever stayed! All the staff are very friendly, fun and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Everyone in my party got the best night of sleep here.
Not what I was expecting, beach area with no swiming. Thanks to the swiming pool so we could cool down. The restaurant are not the best either. The room were not in the cleanest however they are fully loaded with the best of everything what might needed to be comfortable. Service was ok.
Beautiful location, friendly staff, nice pool. I'd say the beach it self is one of the poor beaches we went to in Fiji due to the black sand but the views are nice. The food is very over priced I think one of the pizzas on the menu was up to $55fjd. The buffet breakfast was value in the adults only resturante but I wouldnt recommend sitting down and paying for a meal because you can get better value at the less overpriced Marina which is a 10min walk away.
Spent 3 nights there after arriving in Fiji. Most of the staff were grest and were very polite, there were a couple of outliers that were unusually slow or unhelpful.
The price of the food was a bit high for some of the quality you got but as we had a child with us it helped that kids ate free with a paying adult.
The room was great! Clean and spacious with a great bathroom and toilet. Only downsides were that the tv reception wasnt great when relaxing at night and the bedroom door was too close to the bathroom door making it hard to get into if it was open.
Great stay wether you have kids or not as there is plenty of activities and an adult only area.
Overall was satisfied with the resort and would stay there again if we ever returned to Fiji.
$23 for a glass of pinot gris. Nuff said
We were just passing through on on the bula bus and stopped for a swim. Bula bus was great, coconut explosion from the little restaurant in town was great $17!
Staff amazingly freindly. Cleanliness very good. Facilities ok. Gym needs to be bigger, Rooms are well planned out.
BUT Where it really let's itself down is the buffet breakfast.....the staff really need to taste the food they are cooking....it is truly shocking and I hope this review helps them sort their proceses
Been here for the last 5 days and our last day here at the Hilton. Great location, close to beach and pools. The service let Hilton down especially on our first day of arrival. We arrived at 730am I knew our rooms could not be available so the front desk staff advised to come back in couple hours as there were few guests who checked out early. We walked to the marina and had breakfast and arrived back at hotel and was advised our room not available. Every couple of hours we would return to front desk and Ask about our room. We were always got told check out was at 11 room been cleaned. Anyway we got checked in at 2 pm. If we were advised from the start that there was no way our room will be ready until 2pm then we would ve gone out and explored Denarau, instead we wasted time on first day. Once we got our key, everyone was given 2 bottles of water. I asked the front desk why don t I get 2 bottles of water, she ignored me and wouldn t give me the water, At this point of time I was fuming asked to speak to manager and I explained what had happened. That night we received a bowl of fruit
With an apology card ... whatever
Next day room was cleaned and went back and there was no toilet paper refilled. We walked out of our room for lunch and saw ladies from house keeping and we told them our room had no toilet paper gave red her the room number ... guess what we still didn t get a roll of toilet paper.
Breakfast at both restaurants were nice but for the price per night you pay here the service and rooms were not at that standard. Will not stay at a Hilton hotel again,
Stayed here for a week. Great hotel and friendly staff. The places to eat on site are very good.
We have a two bedroom apartment. It was clean and heaps of space. It needed some maintenance.
If you have kids ask for a room closer to the pool otherwise you will be up for a long walk. They do have a golf cart that takes you around.
Kids club was good but the kids did not like the movies at night and you need to supply your own food.
Monday 29/10/18
My husband and i checked in to a beach front room this evening and we were appalled when we saw there was urine on the back of the toilet suite and shower had alot of mould in the grout.
Something you dont except when staying at a 5 star hotel. Staff moved us quickly into another room which was greatly appreciated, however so far we have discovered we didn't have a working phone, there was no ironing board in our room and to top it off the tv isn't working. Once again staff fixed the telephone issue and housekeeping brought us an ironing board, still waiting for the tv to be fixed. Very dissappointed, definitely not 5 star.
The resort was awesome and staff are very friendly. Enjoyed it.. bula vinaka..
Hotel Resort of excellent quality, highly recommended, large lodges, with private pool and super equipped kitchen. The hotel has two restaurants, SPA, several pools and a beautiful view of the sea.
We stayed 10 nights and had a fab time. We travelled with a group of 8. 6 adults and 2 children. There were activities for everyone and the resort didnt feel cramped. My partner and I relaxed at the Adults only Koro complex for days when we needed some 'beach club' vibes. Theres a spa, small gym with new equipment, free water activities, deli (service very slow) plus 3 restaurants, NZ ice creamery & pool food service. The staff are so looooovely with big beautiful smiles. After walking along the beach most mornings and into the other hotels, the Hilton stacks up. Great for kids too. Highly recommend. Bula!
It's only ok compared to some of the other resorts on Denarau island but a couple of real disappointments, alot of staff are not showing the true Fijian happy culture. Plus I don't get why when you pay so much for a hot breakfast it's never hot? Also if people are in the room above it is very noisy.
For clarity we come to Denarau for at least a week each year and have stayed of the other resorts on the island.
Food choices poor, prices outrageous and service abysmal. Pools nice but room very average. Frankly I felt ripped off for the 5 days we were there but the staff were very friendly just poorly trained . Wouldn't stay there again nor could I recommend it to anyone else.
Loved the 18+ area where we could really relax and unwind away from the kids.
Went there for dinner at the Japanese restaurant.. loved it and the hotel!
Excellent place to stay in Denarau, Ocean view room we stayed on was keep tidy all throughout our stay. Resort staff especially the Nucu Bar and Resto was very warm and accomodating..thanks..(Rajneel, Akesha, Marama).Food was nice and place got heaps of spaces to walk around and do activity such as swimming pool, paddle boarding, kayak.pool aerobics...etc..We,,'ll miss this place and would love to comback..Thanks again for making my 50th birthday an unforgettable experience..:)
Lovely south Pacific venue. Great service and good for families with children.
Very hit-or-miss. The facilities are definitely tired and the place in general could do with a bit of rejuvenation. We arrived on a Sunday and the welcome was nothing compared to that we received in the Sheraton just a year ago. The quality of the poolside service was heavily dependent on who was working at that time. A handful of times our orders were forgotten and in one case our kids lunch order was not out through meaning they got cranky (3 year old twins) and we got annoyed leading to a formal complaint with the duty manager. Nothing really changed although the food and beverage manager, Melissa, when working made sure we were attended to. When compared to other resorts in the area The Hilton just does not merit consideration. We won t be back.
A great balance is achieved between providing a resort that works for families and also allows some quiet time for those that just want to relax. With three restaurants and accompanying pools, two are unrestricted whilst the third is adults only. The accommodation, outlook and general environment is just what you would expect from a luxury Fiji resort. First time but likely not the last time here.
Beautiful place. Wonderful staff- Sam, Niko, and Melvin especially. Very large. Plenty to do. Very clean. Very comfortable. But I wish there was a different food selection inside the restaurants.
BULA bus (on-site shuttle bus) in hotel is convenient
Lovely staff. Great buffet dinners with water-side live music.. close to Port Denarau (short walk or Bula Bus) where there are more restaurants, shops, and the port to access other islands.
The rooms are lovely. The beds are like am sleeping on a cloud. A beautiful view of the beach from the room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a mix up with our room but it got rectified quickly. Loved their breakfast.
Breakfast buffet was subpar. Selection would have been mediocre if fresh and prepared correctly, but several items on the buffet were stale or poorly made. Other buffets on Denaru Island were far better.
Our eighth or ninth trip back. Staff and service amazing. The resort is spacious and they are constantly maintaining it. They are also due to complete a new restaurant, spa, chapel and conference centre shortly. Tourists who dont get Fiji time should stay home :)
I loved this resort! The food was excellent, service was great in general (but room turn over was slow by American standards), and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
No words to express ... When you are in love with Fiji or your Wife too much confusion never before .
Very large resort (have a bus that takes guests from place to place within the facility) right on the beach but is empty because the water is not so nice. The pool areas are very nice and there are enough pool chairs. There are two areas: the family area and the adult only area for pool, breakfast and lunch. Rooms are equipped with everything and also very nice. highly recommended for 1-2 days
An awesome place to relax, enjoy, explore, and get inspired.
