F. H. Cann & Associates, Inc. Review

I have been working with FH Cann since the beginning of January 2020 now. Some of their customer service reps have been awesome and has gone above and beyond, but the others not so much.
This company's representatives takes 8 weeks (2 Months) for them to upload and review documents. Every time that I had called into their office I spoke to a different person, and receive different information.
Stating that they never received the documents, or that they can't be approved by management.
Every time I had asked them why hasn't anyone followed up with me in regards to this they had stated that it is "NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW UP"
This company lack customer service, and time management. I wouldn't recommend them to any one, and if I could, would rate them below 0.

We're in the shipping industry and hired FH Cann to help us with an outstanding debtor who owed us several hundred thousand dollars. They agreed to work on a contingency basis with us which was a relief. They helped us recover most of what we were owed and I was happy to pay their fee. We now retain them on a quarterly basis to help with our AR. Very pleased and highly recommend them.

I made payments on time for a full year. Despite making payments, they still continued to call harassingly. In addition, my student loan was not rehabilitated as promised. I sent them (both via e-mail and postal mail) every document they requested, yet they claimed they never received them. When I finally got someone to admit they did receive them, they claimed it was not acceptable, and they needed me to pay to have them faxed to them. Mind you this is after I had already made 10 months of payments. I made every single payment on time, and my loan has now been sent to another agency. They had no issue taking payments from me, but they can't fulfil their own obligations.

They always call when I'm at work. When I try to call them back I only get their voicemail. Oh, and they never leave a damn voicemail of their own so I don't know what the hell they want, since I keep getting the letters that confirm my payments are going through.

Debt collection is not the part of having my company that I cherish. Finding F.H. Cann and Associates has provided me with a solid option to ensure debt is collected and I can focus on developing relationships with my clients instead.

I have set up payments. When I ask for payment dates and additional information after confirming I am who I say I am. For whatever reason not even a manay can give me accurate information on my account. I personally think this is a scammed.

F. H. Cann & Associates has relieved us of the burden of debt collection. They have increased our bad debt collections by thousands of dollars. We have seen collections increase month by month since we hired the company to provide this service.

Went back and forth and back and forth with them and I'm still getting garnished

The good people at FH Cann & Associates were actually nicer than the people that I had originally owed money to! I m not the best when it coms to managing money and I had gotten over my head. When the debt went to this place, they were actually honest and very friendly. They worked out a awesome payment plan!

I have to say that owing money you can't pay is not pleasant. FHC was helpful to me in working out a monthly payment schedule I could afford in order to re-pay debt I owed. They are a breeze to work with.

Having a team who works with you every step of the way is a breath of fresh air. Our company hired out for accounts recievable and everything has been smooth sailing from there. The results have been much better than when we were trying to do it all ourselves. I would recommend F. H. Cann and Associates to any small business.

Not sure why y'all continue to send letters to my home. I understand some people go into debt and I understand why debt collectors are necessary. However, I do not have student loans as I never attended college. This harrassment needs to stop.

Been calling for a week during business hours and its keeps saying they are closed

It was a strange process for my crafting company to manage the digital side of business. I hired one team to manage the online side and one team to handle the bad debts that surfaced along the way. F.H Cann and Associates made a huge difference for us.

Dealing with a collection agency wasn't what I set out to do when I had surgery. Unfortunately that's where things ended up. Thankfully, the representative I was dealing with at FH Cann was really understanding. It took a few discussions but we were able to come up with something functional.

I agree with Lisa. This firm is staffed with people who don't know what they are doing. Every time I called, I spoke with someone different and was told a different story AND they always said they needed more documents or never received the ones I sent over. Because of their incompetency, ALL of the payments I WAS making to them turned out to be unqualified but NO ONE EVER REACHED OUT to me to let me know. I had to call on my own when I realized my payments had stopped. They also won't allow you to switch to other collection firms. No wonder why so many people have so many issues with loan repayments when we are forced to work with people who can't understand their own job.

I never had any problems with this business they have helped me and understood my financial situation and didnt get upset about it esoecially the super low paymets .this is the first buisness that has actually worked with me and their staff is helpful

I ve filed for Bankruptcy and they still are sending me letters and calling me every day. They have already been notified several times regarding my Bankruptcy. And no I don t have student loans. So I told em call my attorney. The lady then hung up on me.

F.H. Cann and Associates provided respectful care to our accounts receivable issues. Their ability to create and implement a plan was impressive.They offer a contingency-based compensation structure that was within our budget and were able to resolve the issues with professionalism.

I called and setup a payment arrangement with this company & they told me to make double payment to count for 2 months, LIES! When I called the Department Of Education, they told me the double payment thing will NOT count for 2 months. They lie! Horrible company. I tried calling this company to get an answer and now no one picks up the phone

if it was possible to leave a negative star I would. This has to be the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. First of all the customer service is by far the worse (Id rather speak with comcast 10000 times before speaking to anyone from here) Second they have no idea what they are talking about. I called asking a questions was told I wasnt able to, okay fine then got a call back saying my loan was already out of the rehab program and asked "what do you want to do about this" and then "oh wait my manager is coming over okay so you are all set" my response " thanks for the freakin heart attack" the rep then laughed. yep she LAUGHED. If you have to deal with them and its for a student loan, get the loan into a rehab program, make the payments on time and try your hardest not to call them.

We had been taking care of our own collections and that was getting really cumbersome and detracting from our productivity. Hiring F.H. Cann & Associates has freed us up to focus on our business while they expertly take care of this aspect for us.

Nobody likes getting calls for debt collection. I work for F.H. Cann & Associates and I really enjoy being able to help people put together a manageable payment plan that can accommodate a family's budget and get on the right track.

I had called F. H. Cann & Associates expecting to go war over what I thought was a error on their part but the pleasantries of the person I talked to calmed me down and she went over the debt that they notified me about. Sure enough, it was in fact my own fault and they offered a very reasonable payment plan.

Accounts Receivables can be difficult. You need to be careful to have the right people representing your company. We have been so impressed with F.H. Cann and Associates ability to strategize and implement the best accounts receivable option for us.

We were able to give our debt management to this company. The impact of doing so was seen instantly in our offices. My employees who were handling this were trained to do jobs that made them happier. This led to improved relations and results for everyone.

At where I work, we suddenly had a huge increase of people who didn t want to pay for the services that were rendered to them. What the owner had us doing was to repeatedly contact those people but it wasn t doing any good. That s when the office manager hired FH Can to do this for us. In less than three months, we collected over 90% of monies that were due to us!

I wish I could rate negative stars. So difficult to work with. I ve emailed in the required documentation 3 times and I have to do it a fourth because they can t seem to get it.

They have supposedly called me multiple times since August and I ve only gotten 1 phone call. It s ridiculous.

I would like to give zero stars, but they make you mark at least one. They said that after 9 months of consecutive payments that the loan would be taken out of default. Called today as it has been 10 months, and now they say that they will not take the loan out of default... what?!?! I understand that it got put in default by our own fault, but really, taking the steps to try and fix it, and they are not keeping their word. Worst company ever.

I was so wrong to leave my position with F.H. Cann & Associates for a little glitz and glitter. I miss the teamwork and the camaraderie we had victory after victory. I miss the support and especially my co-workers. It is truly a great company to work for.

I have tried relentlessly to contact them with no response. Mail, fax, email, multiple phone calls over several days. No one even answers the phones or attempts to respond.

Very rude, no customer service skills. They give you the run around. They will take your money but will not send any paper work nor email me when asking to. I told the rep I needed updated Info and could not get that. I told the rep to place my monthly payment on hold until I receive a receipt , she then told me to hold. She returned after ten minutes, and told me she couldn t place the account on hold and that her supervisor would have to but he s on a call. Long story short US Dept of Ed need to get a new collection agency. I know I m at fault for not paying, life happens, but if you re going to have a 3rd party payer or agency representing them , they should be more customer focused.

Loan sharks that exploit student loan borrowers. A college student can take out loans worth $30k and this rat-infested company will garnish $100k of wages. How is this allowed in America? What sort of country have we become??

Their calling staff really needs to learn how to talk to someone... had to ask for a supervisor just so they could tell me who s calling me. I asked the first woman who was calling she said hfcann I didn t know what that was so I asked what is hfcann? She said that s private information so I asked for a supervisor and waited 10 minutes just for her to tel me they were a finance company and my number was listed as a secondary number. I thought training videos in the work place were just jokes but this place desperately needs them!

This company is horrible. I had a payment plan set up back in August of 2019. After my 7th payment in January I requested a Title 4 letter. The letter was needed so that I could go back to school and receive some form of financial aid. I was told in January that the letter was mailed and faxed over to my school. I checkEd with the school and I was told that they never received the letter. I called and requested the again. And again and again. It is now March. After the third request the Department of Education are now telling me that someone removed my payment plan info out of the computer and now another department has to update my account info in the computer, That s why the letter was never sent. After they already told me on multiple occasions that the letter was sent out. The more I call the more they get frustrated with me and some have even become rude. However I should be frustrated waiting 3 months for a letter to be faxed . And who knows if they will ever fax it. UNBELIEVABLE

They take advantage of ppl who've defaulted on their student loans your payments for 7 months barely count because they hit you with so many collection fees that they dont even give you info or a breakdown of on. They'll prolly screw us with the make 7 months of payments thing due to us not paying during the corona pandemic because we dont have to due to cares act, but I hope not. They're a racket.

When the representatives at FH Cann and Associates first contacted me about managing this aspect of my business I was reserved. I heard them out. Everything came together perfectly in their proposal and their service has gone above and beyond.

Hardest place to work with. They're garnishing my wages for student loans. I've been working with them, made my payments, signed and returned documents and they are still garnishing my wages a month after they said it would stop! Every time I call I'm told another story. They need more documents or the ones I sent weren't good enough. Today I was told they'd have a supervisor call me back and it never happened! I understand they are a debt collector and they have a job to do but they can't do this to people. I'm sure they're paid well for all the student loan money they're taking in, they need to think about how they treat people before that contract gets canceled and another agency gets it.

Update, they can have their $5 a month! I will stop the garnishment on my own. I refuse to speak with them or file anymore paperwork with them. I have called the dept. Of education directly to complain and get the garnishment stopped. And I will continue to file complaints with them until my account is given to another collection agency.

I got out of default for $0 monthly payments. I start work on my doctorate in 3 months. Thank you fh cann. You are the organization that truly changed my life. I'd love to volunteer some time to your organization so I can give back to society...
