Both my friend and I had been shopping for pre-owned Lexus RX350 past few months. We both visited the driversselect several times, but both of us bought the car from the other dealership. Except for the fair price, it is really hard for me to recommend the driversselect to any one.
1) When visiting for a test drive, it took forever to get the car ready even you "scheduled" an appointment online with one of the sales associates. One time I had to wait more than one hour to see the car.
2) The price for the car is fair, but there are reasons for the lower price. My office is about 5 minutes away from the driversselct's old location in Dallas, so it was easy for me to check out the cars. I tested drive 2 RX350s (2015 model), inspected 2 more (not even bother to drive these 2). All these 4 RX350s have scratches and dents. The tires were wearing out. The leather seats (especially for the driver) were wrinkled much worse than the same aged cars I saw from other dealerships. I even found human hairs and other garbage inside their cars. Most RX350s I checked out only had one key, some of them did not have the user manual. One RX was dripping oil while I checked it (they may have just changed the engine oil, and the filter was not tighten up). You definitely get what you pay for :)
3) The worst is the service. Sometime I saw a RX 350 from the web site, call or text the agent first time I met, there was no responses for days. If I used the online chat to check the availability with other agent, they told me that they would let "my agent" know and my agent would contact me soon. But 99% of time I did not get any responses. I used the website "Contact us" to report this situation, but I never received any responses (emails, texts, calls) from the driversselect either. My guess is that they don't care at all.
If you are looking for good services and nice pre-owned cars, take your money elsewhere. There are other dealerships in town, which can match the price, the cars are in much better shape and the service is far better.

This is the third vehicle we have purchased from Driversselect in the past 18 months. Salim was our salesman this time around and he made the process as smooth as humanly possible. He communicated with me before I got in and the whole process took about 30 minutes including the test drive. I would never buy a used car anywhere else, the value on top of the seamless transaction process is unparalleled. Thanks again, Salim.
I had such a great experience working with Salim Nasrallah buying a Jeep for my son, that less than a week later I returned to buy a vehicle for myself. I appreciate him explaining everything and making the car buying paperwork as simple as possible. I will think of them first the next time we need another vehicle. Lisa was absolutely amazing and worked very hard to get me in the vehicle I wanted.. 4 star instead of 5 because the front desk guys more than once said they would notify Lisa I was there waiting but they did not and the valets who took the car after we test drove were kinda rude...
My wife and I bought a 2016 Hyundai Tucson from drivers select back in January.. since then I have had to replace the tires in March. my left turn signal stopped working and my front passenger door won t open unless you pump the handle 6-7 times. We have also had to replace the battery. the process of buying the car was pretty simple however we did put a $500 deposit down and came back in the next day only to find out the car had been sold but they had another one just like It except it had considerably more mileage. I worry this car will continue to be a headache.
I purchased a 2018 Toyota Camry with Dan (Jay) Dasch last Saturday. He was really sweet and informative. I really liked him. He was patient and honest and he made the whole car buying experience comfortable. Most dealers are pushy and you end up walking out of the dealership with regret. I did not feel that way with him at all.

I recommend them, my sister recommended them to me because of her experience and purchase. I gave a four star because customer service does not answer the phones when you call. But, they will call you back if you leave a message...I was told.
We Called on way to drivers select to ask for test drive (to save waiting ). Greeted pleasantly at front entrance and invited to have complimentary coffee or water. Robert was our sales rep. Pleasant , low key discussion. Test drove four vehicles. Decided on one and came back with the funds two hours later. The car had be fueled and cleaned. All the cars in the lot are four years old or less, no damage history on car fax and typically below 36,000 miles (under manufacturer warranty). They all seem to be prices in the middle of Kelley Blue Book excellent condition private party range. In our case , around $2000 above trade in and $2000 below dealer retail ish. So a fair price to pay for a car from a dealer. Registration was handled and final paper work took 15 minutes. Very happy with selection , quality and condition of the cars and the professionalism of the dealership. Will be back when I need another car.
We purchased a 2017 Kia Sportage for a friend. We live in a different state and they were very easy to deal with. Our Friend looked and test drove the vehicle, we wired the money and she had it that same day. The whole process was smooth and simple. She loves her vehicle.

Absolutely terrible customer service! They take no "ownership" and blame their lies on their coworkers or finance team. Do NOT fall for the $500 deposit scheme. They just say "Oh sorry, we sold that car", even though you had it reserved and put money down to hold it. Went twice and regretted each time. Go somewhere else.

The comment above was what I had written just couple of weeks ago after we bought a car from here. Two days ago the battery died! I texted them but apparently since it happened after 30 days (it happened on the 60th day!) they said they cannot help. It was a 2016 VW! Never ever here again.
DeMeon was wonderful and patient with us since we took forever to decide. He was not pushy and let us do our thing. This is the second time we have purchased a car form Drivers Select. This place gets new inventory in everyday, giving you a large selection to view. Call ahead to check on availability, as the website is slower to update then real time. We had two cars that we were interested in and they sold in less than 24 hours, so it is not a ploy to make you buy! They are upfront about the extra fees they charge (posted on wall inside building) There is a doc fee and dealer prep fee totaling 409.00 plus the tax title license. Any dealership will charge these but two other dealerships that we visited wanted an additional $1000 to $1700 on top of all of the fees mentioned already. Ask for the numbers at any other place and they won't want to give them to you. Drivers Select is willing to print out the numbers for you ahead of time so that there are no surprises when closing the deal. There is nothing fancy about the place(although very clean) and it is very casual, but that keeps overhead low and prices of cars low, so its a win, win for potential buyers. Once we selected our car, DeMeon went the extra mile to get it ready and the closing process was fast and easy.
Our associate, Adrian, was great and we were in and out quickly. The lack of the typical haggling/ask my manager used car experience was a breath of fresh air. We got the exact same car with 10k less miles completely accident free for a lower cost than 2 other dealerships we were looking at. Very different environment than what Im accustomed to and Im not sure I ll go back to the stereotypical car buying experience ever again. 5-stars

Tim ensured that I had an excellent experience at Driversselect. I visited Driversselect purely because of the upsettlingly manipulative experience that I had a week beforehand at the VW dealership in Frisco. Tim wasn't pushy and he kept me well-informed during the process. Using outside financing is very complicated at this dealership, but Tim made sure that I had all of the info that I needed to make it work. I am lucky to have a credit union that was willing to jump through the hoops. I was incredibly skeptical of the entire process expecting to be manipulated or scammed, but I didn't encounter any of that. Make sure to make an appointment so that the cars you're looking at are present and available when you visit. I'm now the owner of a very well-priced 2014 Jetta SE and I couldn't be more pleased!
The experience at Echo Park is awesome! Totally different then going through a dealership. I will probably never go through a dealership again. Josh Lopez is the best!!! It was my boyfriends first time ever purchasing a car and he made the experience the best. Not stressful at all and we were not there forever arguing with them. Sold me a Lexus w 10k miles on it that was out of alignment. Pushed another $2900 extended warranty on me, then didn t honor it. I drove the car less than 6k miles and less than one year and the tires wouldn t pass inspection because they wore so badly. The car was parked in my garage. Not driven other than taking child to school and grocery store. Driver select didn t value me as a customer enough to even cover 1/2 the $1100 I spent on new tires RIGHT after giving them $30K for a vehicle. I will NEVER buy another car from them. Wes at customer service has an attitude and does not care or believe customers even in extenuating circumstances.
Wes, there is NO CONFUSION here. It is evident you could care less about good Will towards customers who patronize your place of business. You guys won t even return my call or even attempt to make this right. All I asked was for a prorated reimbursement for the cost of tires I should not of had to put on the vehicle. I guess losing a hundred thousand dollars in business (I have a large family) is worth the few hundred bucks that would ve made this right w me as a customer.

After reading reviews all day (the good and the bad... Mostly the bad) I went ahead and filled out the online application and got a call from Robert the next morning. I gotta say, all in all i am super impressed. Robert did not haggle or do any of the back and forth i would expect when buying a used car. He got me a better APR than the other company I was considering... Wasn't pushy about the GAP and other add ons. In the end the deal he presented when we first spoke was exactly where we ended. If the car is half as good as the buying experience they have just gained a repeat customer for sure!
Three hours later we were still trying to begin our paperwork. We were passed around to four different salesmen. I recommend this place only if you wish to waste four hours of your life.

The people were friendly and ensured each person was attended to. Love they have a coffee machine that make your drink from regular coffee to cappuccino or hot chocolate. I don't suggest going on a Saturday...it is one of their busiest days. They let you take the car out on your own and return when you are done and they let you have time to explore the car thoroughly on your own just checking it out. It is very straightforward and no pressure.

Worse car purchase experience ever. the sales people dont have mo experience, they don t negotiate for nothing, and the manager service is the worse.. they were suppose to send me a keyless remote, never got it. Ive calle them more than 4 times and left voicemails, hadnt seen a call till this day. I have written the contract where it says they were gonna send me a key. Will never buy from this place again
Great experience buying a researching a car. I had spent the last couple of months scoping out their website and inventory looking for the right car. I love that everything is very transparent and that it is no haggle. Pricing was cheaper than what I had found on other sites, Financing was taken care of before I got to the dealership and I was literally in and out. Christie was my sales rep and made sure that I was taken care with no pressure what so ever and made me feel comfortable that I was buying the car that made me happy.
Marla was professional, courteous and accommodating. The process was easy. DS gave me a fair value on my trade in. Despite being a busy Saturday, I was still out in a few hours.
I will travel to Dallas to purchase a car at this dealership from now on (I live 5 hours away). We went in the dealership and met Clayton and told him we were looking for a vehicle for our niece who would be joining us in Dallas the next day. He gave us his cell # and instructed us to let him know which models she liked and he would be sure to have them available the next day (provided they had not already sold). We did as instructed and looked at a Honda Civic and Nissan Altima. There was no negotiation on the price...there didn't need to be! While the buying process for out of state did take some time, the breakroom was full of snacks and coffee for everyone. This was a pleasant buying experience and we have since recommended numerous friends!

We have purchased 3 vehicles here in the last 4 years. They have always given us a great price, and I have never had any issues with any of the vehicles we purchased from there. They don't sell junk! They make the process simple and painless. Sometimes I just stop by to see what the inventory is and if there is any good deals. They have a huge selection and are getting new inventory constantly, so if they don't have what you need, I recommend waiting or seeing if they can get it from another location.
After months of searching for a vehicle and being denied I finally took the time out to try DS...if I had known what I know now I would have stopped here first. My salesperson, Chris Pouncy was an excellent help. He treated me as I was his first and only priority. I applied online, he called and advised me of my status, went to the lot and drove off in less than an hour in my beautiful car. I will never shop anywhere else for a car. They have inventory which is priced below the market
But most of the vehicle which are just one year old, they will try to sell extended warranty on those vehicle as well and add gap insurance on it which makes final out of door cost more than brand new vehicle from any good dealership.
Be aware of final amount out of door cost that you are going to pay and I saw carfax on the vehicle most of the vehicle here on sell are from florida well i will prefer to avoid cars from Florida if is used one.
But if they avoid extended warranty and gap insurance they are best deal, which i am not sure how it happens especially at this locaiton
Update after I visited this place:
They will not let you test drive you more than two cars
For test drive you will need full coverage insurance card probably they will call the insurance company to verify if you do have full coverage insurance.
Once you say you won t finance with them they would loose interest on you.
It takes almost more than 3 hours to get the quote even if you insist you don t want to buy the service contract that will be there in the quotation.
One of customer was mocked by Adrian in front of me while I was waiting I don t know what was the reason but it s really bad to laugh in front of other customer while you turn your face.
Don t expect good trade in value as they themself don t sell any vehicle older than 2015 ( at the time of writing this review)
If you manage your own credit they will insist to get cashier check or cash so you would be left with only option to get finance from them
This dealer is good if you don t care about high apr for first few month as it can be switched with other banks and you are willing to buy service contract and price is decent at this dealership probably their invoice price or price on website is unbeaable but be aware of time apr and service contract.
I was willing to get the vehicle very same day and drive home but after 4 hours being there I could not get final quote very same day I was called and told will receive over phone which I did receive but it s more than an hour of drive from my place so will have to think.
You may get a good used vehicle but you have to compromise on poor customer service, buy products ( they will try hard to sell GAP, VSC etc) , markup on the rates.

Customer service was great. They returned emails within 30min to an hour and the staff was extremely helpful. My salesperson wasn't there; however, a manager called me to tell me who could help me through the purchase of the vehicle. The total time at the dealership from walk in to drive out was 2hrs. The longest part is the just the wait to get paperwork filled out. Love the car guys!

Once we were there, Larry Pelky helped us find exactly the vehicle we were looking for, even though he had to physically go check out all the ones that were still being processed and weren't in the system yet. It's our second time working with Larry and it won't be our last - he is super helpful and friendly to work with.
Feb '16: Larry Pelky was very helpful throughout our buying experience. Larry and this dealer take customer service seriously even though they were very busy - we requested a scratch be buffed out and they put a significant amount of time into it until we were happy.
A very unique car buying experience here and I m glad I did it. No haggling for price or the unsavory dance you do with the salesman and manager during the negotiation phase at your traditional car dealership. They purposely price their vehicles lower than dealerships to attract more buyers and close deals faster. The whole process took a little more than a couple of hours and I left with a vehicle.

I loved my car buying experience! I loved the excellent customer service that Robert Brewer provided. I left with the car of my dreams with payments and interest rates cheaper than my former car! I would recommend this place to everyone I know!
They were super nice while trying to get us to buy their car. After we bought it we have had nothing but trouble. They have not paid off our trade-in, so we are still paying on it. The salesman, Mary, was johnny on the spot during the sales process, now she won't return our calls or emails. The customer service line says they will call the back the same day, but we still haven't heard back from them either. Also, they say they don't haggle, but when we told them we were leaving because thet said they couldn't get us the rate we wanted, the sales manager came out and offered to discount the car. This place is a joke! They will try and screw you on the rate, too, if you let them.
Well, I see you deleted your last response with the customer service number for us to call. Could that be because it was just another generic number with another generic automated greeting? I went ahead and left yet another voicemail. I guess I will continue to wait for someone from your exceptional customer service department to call back. I find it interesting that someone monitors the reviews on here on a daily basis to watch for negative comments, but the people who can actually help resolve problems are nowhere to be found after you purchase a vehicle.
Driversselect was a fantastic experience from start to finish - from their modern and spacious facilities upon entering, to their massive fleet of quality vehicles - they were like no other used car dealership I ve ever encountered. Most importantly their people were personable, jovial, and caring - great listeners and willing to earn your business. This dealer really earned this 5-star review - I'm someone who considers any time spent at a car dealer similar to dentistry before novocane. That said, Charles Bright and the team at Driversselect went out of their way and demonstrated outstanding customer service through the whole process. Not just while I was purchasing the car, which is usually when everyone is nice .. but also after the sale when I ran into a small problem - Charles stuck with me every day until the issue was fully resolved. Unfortunately problems sometimes occur and where good customer service shines in in those moments. Thank you Charles for all your support !

Very good buying experience. I had been looking for a month and was sick of it. I finial went to driversselect on line and started looking on line. I had the salesman contact me, Torey Rogers and he got the ball rolling immediately. I was able to do everything on my phone for information and purchase. Very Smooth. After Torey set up several cars for me to decide on I was able to purchase and drive home my car that night. Thank you again.
2015 Lexus GS350 FSport w/Mark Levinson
I got pre approved for an auto loan at my local credit union in San Antonio and found this car I was interested in at drivers select. Called in and inquired about the car and told them about my financial situation. I was told that they don't accept drafts from my institution, only cashiers check. So wanting the car real bad I let them ding my credit a second time to get financing. After they ran my credit they came back at me with a ridiculous apr saying I have no credit. Frustrated I told him I was approved before and was told my credit was excellent (fico 770). I showed him my approval letter and screen shots of my score from different websites. Being late the salesman said he will check again tomorrow. The next day I called and was told that someone was looking at the car at the dealership!?! The salesman finally called me back when he got in and told me that my rate lower (acceptable) but a customer had already taken the car for a test drive. First come first serve he said. SRSLY! I told him it was his mistake saying i had no credit the other day and that if I was given the correct rate I would've bought it yesterday. Spoke with manager and was told the same story tough luck. Great customer service jerks. The customer ended up buying the car so salesman said that there was another one with the same options, 1,800 more miles, and for $500 more. I told him it had no Mark levinson audio. He proceeded to tell me that the one I wanted didn't have it either. Really why is Mark Levinson listed under the entertainment options on their website (took screenshot). He goes to check and said it was a mistake. So I went through all this hassle for a car that I didn't want. Let them ding my credit lowering it even more and for a consolation prize they offered me the other car at full value, no discount or apology for my troubles. Sure let me bend over and you give my business I like being mistreated! DON'T GO HERE!
I was from Louisiana and sent over all of my information to the Grand prairie, Tx lot. I asked them to make sure I was pre-approved for a vehicle before I drive 4 hours. Not only did they say I was pre-approved on a Thursday, they called me Friday morning and asked was I on my way. When I told them no I was confirming I was pre-approved before I took the drive. They reassured me I was. Well needless to say, they had me test driving cars all to to say I wasn't approved and the finance guy had messed up since I wasn't on my job for 12 months, just 10 months. After I drove 4 hours and sat for 4 hours this is the worst lot ever!! I do not recommend this lot to anyone. They offered to compensate me with a gift card.. I had to hurry up and walk out before I acted stupid with my daughter present. Worst company ever!!!
We had such a great car buying experience at DriversSelect! They had a great car available for a great price. The process was easy and quick. Josh was wonderful to deal with, I loved his no nonsense approach. Great Job DriversSelect.
I bought a 2019 XTS on January 4th. The car did not have the SD card for the navigation in it. They say that was normal and they would have it to me in 3 or 5 days after I contact customer care to have it ordered. I contacted customer care on the 6th and left a message because apparently they do not answer the phone. Someone did call me back that day and said they ordered the SD card for the GPS. Well it's January 23rd and I still do not have an SD card for the GPS. I called on the 15th to follow up left a message and no one called me until I texted my salesperson the next day, the 16th.
The person that called me said they did not know if they got the card and if it was there or if they did not get it in. Well that means they did not even follow up with the SD card after 5 days of not receiving it from where ever they get the card from. So now another week has gone by and I left a message today and did not get a call back yet.
So I got a car from DriverSelect EchoPark with no navigation. Extremely frustrating and no follow ups. I will never consider buying a car from this place again. Nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

Update 01/28th still no SD card for my navigation, despite the woman on the phone say they we re going to 2 day ship it on Thursday.
Just another Corp owned business....does nor care about employees ...let go over 30 employee s.. no notice ...benefits expired immediately....no pay ....no nothing.......they use you till they are done
Sales people are expendable!
While this was a very short search for a vehicle, it was full of twists and turns that took us to dealerships in Houston, almost to Louisiana but ultimately concluded at the Echo Park dealership in Grand Prairie. From the first phone call with Tiffany C.(Internet Sales) things seemed to take off. Next, we were put in communication with Aaron W., Sales Representative at the Grand Prairie location. From the start Mr. Williams and his Trainee DaMarcus were willing to go above and beyond by sending pictures and videos of our desired vehicle. Once we settled on making the 208 mile drive, Aaron's level of customer service only increased. With the dealership closing at 8 PM Aaron was willing to stay late. When we arrived at 7:45 PM. everything was all set up. We test drove the vehicle, but ultimately decided on another vehicle. Even with the change of vehicle we were finished with financing and on the way to the hotel at 9:18 PM.
On, Friday, August 7, 2020, we arrived at the dealership that morning to pickup the vehicle which had been buffed and cleaned to our satisfaction. There was one slight issue because the SD Card had been removed from the vehicle so basically nothing worked in regard to the navigation, voice control, radio and blue tooth. Mike H., Sales Manager, was very assistive in trying to resolve an issue that generally takes days to fix. We waited patiently as they worked their magic to track down the right part and have it installed the same day.
Words can not express the efforts put in by Tiffany, Aaron, DaMarcus, Mike and I think Greg (whom was assigned to assist us during our wait on Friday). Going forward we have found one dealership to handle all our buying needs. The service goes above and beyond. My wife and I are pleased to say that the service we received was far greater than any other dealership we dealt with during this short buying period. Many thanks to the men and women at Echo Park. Not only did we get a quality vehicle, we received quality service.
I'm glad to see that so many people have had positive experiences at DriversSelect. Unfortunately, mine was like the two customers in the minority above. I had a very similar experience to Gabriella.
I saw 3 cars listed online via a third party site that I was interested in. Since I had a past email from one of the ds dealers about another pre-owned vehicle, I thought I'd touch base with him on it in case he had info available.
The day that I wanted to go see the cars in person I emailed inquiring about each car's availability. The salesman responded saying that they were all available and asked if I wanted to schedule time to come in. He also asked me which car I wanted to see first because he could only pull up one at a time so I picked one and replied. I scheduled a visit and let him know around what time I'd be coming after work and that traffic was a factor. He recommended I ask for him upon arrival. After finally meeting him, I spent most of my time waiting on him to find the key to the car. I sat and waited just for him to come back and say how the car had been sold, so I asked him about the other two cars (also mentioned in our emails). At this point it was clear to me that he never checked on them and wasn't too intent on meeting with me or taking my interest in looking at or buying a car seriously.
I had to remind him what the other two cars were, and he looked them up on the computer to see what I was referring to. After that I spent even more time waiting as he went looking for those cars or any information. More waiting... just for him to come back and say that one of the cars had been sold, and the other was at their other lot, and it'd take about a max 30 mins for them to bring it over. Mind you he's asking me how I planned to finance the car and if I wanted to put down a deposit to hold it - I hadn't even decided I definitely wanted it, let alone done a test drive!
I felt as though my service that day was poor - Just not professional at all.
To avoid this kind of situation, I typically email the day of to ensure availability of the car(s) so the sales person is prepared when I arrive and neither of us waste time.
Note: It's never a good sign when a car salesman is coming back in the office saying "you're probably gonna kill me..". When I let him know that I had rushed over in traffic from my office across town to see the cars, his response was that he drives there every day in traffic from Grand Prairie. Yes, this is someone supposedly trying to sell a $24k car. Despite this salesman's viewpoint, my time is valuable I decided to leave rather than wait for another "maybe 30 minutes" for him to get the car transferred over to the lot. He did apologize and things happen, but it was a little too late.
I went in with high hopes that afternoon, but if this is any representation of how they operate at the dealership, I think I'm good and would rather go elsewhere. So I am.
Great experience great salesperson by the name of Naod. All around great place to shop, I will be sure to send people there way!!!

I had a rather pleasant experience with/at Drivers Select. My salesman, Selwyn, was great! I was in desperate need of a vehicle. After searching DFW's inventory online, I found the car I wanted. So I called to inquire about it while I was at work. Selwyn called me back with some numbers. By the end of my work day a deal was worked out. All of the hard work such as financing was done over the phone. I literally did my test drive, paperwork and I was done! I spent a little over an hour there.
When I purchased my car it was closing time. I purchased it on a Wednesday night and noticed Thursday morning that the tires were in pretty bad shape (my picture can be found in the photo section).
I called on Saturday to try to see what can be done...basically I was told the tread depth was fine, and the car passed the mechanics inspection. I'm totally dissatisfied with that answer. I also told them I did not feel safe driving on these hot Texas highways with all of the gashes that were in my tires. No one cared! I was brushed off because the deal had already been made. Terrible customer service after you buy your car. Make sure that YOU thoroughly inspect the vehicle so you're not spending money to fix things on your NEW vehicle!
UPDATE: Wes (customer care manager) reached out to me & my issue was been resolved. I have 2 new tires on my vehicle! I am a happy camper. Sometimes it just takes talking to the right person to get what you need done.

Josh was amazing!! He was patient and very accommodating. He was able to answer all of my questions and was extremely honest. This is the second time I have bought from Driversselect and have not been disappointed. I would highly recommend both Driverselect and Josh Lopez.
Paid a visit to this dealership to see about purchasing a vehicle. While I was not able to purchase a vehicle from this dealer, I would not hesitate to recommend them to someone else. The experience was one of the best that I have had a car dealership and was completely pressure and hassle free. All of the employees I interacted with, including the sales manager, was outstanding and professional. They have a great selection of vehicles at great prices and if you are looking for a new car, I highly recommend checking them out.
Christie was absolutely fantastic! Have been at the dealership literally all day but she has been great in letting us know about everything and ultimately getting me in a new car! i like how the sales man did not want to hear my offer, the second i tried to explain why i am about to give this offer he was like let me stop you right there we dont negotiate, for a second there i was scared i felt like i am in one of those movies about hostages and wars . let me clear something here Mr. S.P this is a used car dealership and negotiation is step one i have never heard or saw anything as weird as your answer !!!
