Our first room shared a wall with the elevator shady and was incredibly noisy. After we switched rooms, the new room had floss in the bathroom trash can, and a chair with worn out fabric with holes in it. The hotel feels like a clear relic of the 80's in desperate need of an update. The beautiful lobby is deceptive, as the rooms are in a dire need of upgrade.

Standard DT stuff here. Nice place daily food portions are good. Actually Breakfast was very good Stephan is accommodating and very family orientated kid friendly. Easy to get in and out.

The room was very small. The beds were not comfortable. The air conditioning did not work in my room. The cookies were good and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great next to a little community with lots to eat and near a lot of other shops.

I was very disappointed by the room. It smelled really bad when we first entered the room. The carpet was dirty and stained. I had paid extra for a better view and it was beautiful but I was disgusted by the room. I went to the lobby and realized this is a pet friendly hotel, so that explained that bad smell, wet dog. If you are allergic to dogs this is not the hotel for you. They should sanitize the rooms after each pet occupant. Hilton should remove their name from this building. I gave a 2 because the staff was friendly, mattress was great and view was fantastic. Would not stay here again. I'm also a Hilton Honors member.

So far I'm going to give this hotel 2 stars Only due to the fact that I just got in and it's 2am. So I called the front desk to ask for an exchange of nights... I wanted to exchange my Saturday night (weekend night) for a weekday (Thursday night) so I could get some sleep tonight. So, I called and asked the lady working the front desk if that was possible and she quickly responded with a no followed by an offer to book me tonight for 104. Only because I booked through a third-party, which I completely understand. She quickly did offer to book me for tonight at 2am for the 104. though.

You have to understand that what she was offering me was 1 hour if sleep in exchange for 104. But if I just wait 1 hour then I can do an early check in for 25. It wasn't until I told her I was going to sleep in the parking lot until morning in my truck that she informed me that I could do this though. Which she really should have offered me from the get-go in my honest opinion. Maybe she didn't notice the time at first? I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and do a full review of this hotel once I have completed my stay with them...

Yes, I will update my review accordingly after my stay and after some much needed rest... Once I can check in at 3... 30 more minutes.

Thank you kindly,

Hotel hopper and blogger

Had a few issues with rooms being loud and constant door slamming. Then came the clogged sinks and bath tubs. I would rate the old wing of the hotel as 3 star. Gross.

Sarah B. went out of her way to accommodate us and she was so mindful and kind. I would rate her hospitality as 5 star. Thanks Sarah & hope they fix the plumbing. In any case thanks for the hospitality during Covid19. Also thanks to the kind staff. Hope Hilton speeds up the renovation.

It's ok. The hotel is nice, the room was nice. It was not in a great location and it's in kind of a crappy area. If you plan on getting around by taxi, go somewhere closer to city center/16th street. If you rented a car, the parking here is kind of creepy but ok during the day.

Filthy....not like any Hilton I have stayed in. Found a fifth of whiskey behind the curtains in the room took asking them 3 times to get it the bathtub barley drained then backed up. Towels stunk the cafe had dirty dishes we sat down and got up and walked out. With that being said the staff was amazing. Polite courteous and helpful. And my family loved the cookies.

It's a great hotel that's very clean with a friendly staff. Fitness center is 24 hrs, there is an Avis located inside the hotel to rent a car, and the hotel offers free razors/shaving cream/toothpaste/tooth brush. My gripes are minimal. No balconies, no microwave, and no mini-fridge (although you might be able to request one if available).

I was given a pre - paid voucher here, after the South West Airlines shared it with some passenger's due to flight issues. The first location the airline and I called together that agreed to accept tge airlines paid voucher, refused to accept the voucher when I arrived 30 minutes after we calked then. After 20 minutes of waiting on what they could do for me, they eventually shuttled me to another location. LACK OF ETHICS: This location did accept the voucher, but also charged me an ADDITIONAL $97.00. They chose to do so, after reading on the voucher that it covers the Full Cost of a room and agreeing to accept the voucher, pre-paid by South West Airlines. Unethical behavior and terrible service from both locations. Double Tree has lost my business, as well as all of our company contacts and friends this situation was shared with. They'll likely also deal with my lawyer, due to the lack of professionalism and unethical double - billing the room.

Right now the hotel lobby is under construction but in general this wasn't a bad hotel. The beds were comfortable, everything worked, there were two newspapers available (USA Today The Wall Street Journal) and checkout was easy. The elevators are incredibly tiny but work.

Very clean and conveniently located hotel right outside Denver. Nice Bar and restaurant upfront, interior of lobby is gorgeous with AN inviting fireplace. Counter lady was very friendly and helpful. Room is clean beds are soft and pillows are awesome. Court yard looks a little doll probably because it's the middle of the winter and it's Colorado. We didn't get a chance to go swimming.

I've stayed here at least 10 times on the past and the building/furnishings are starting to show their age. Still, they're ok accommodations.

Staff wasn't as hospitable this trip. Had an issue with the bartender Ashley who acted as if her only customers were the drunk males around the bar.

The only saving grace was the Starbucks kiosk, and the restaurant where the staff hasn't changed much over the years and are still very pleasant to the guest.

The food is mediocre in the restaurant unless you go at lunch and get one of the awesome sandwiches. For dinner, the wings from the bar are great.

Hm, I left this hotel with mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel was technically nice, but it was a little outdated. The room smelled a bit odd and the staff wasn't unfriendly but they weren't particularly friendly either.

The guests staying in the room next to me got into a screaming battle at 2:00 in the morning which was incredibly frustrating since I had a big meeting the next day. They attract a very odd type of person as guests, so I'm not sure if it was the best environment for staying when you have a business meeting the next day.

I saw roaches in the bathroom. When i adressed it to the manager she swore i was seeing things. Also the beds had stains. It was the worst hotel experience ever. The restaurant food was horriable would not recommend . Such a waist of moeny

I had a room right next to the GD house keeping closet. Constant loud noises coming from that room. I almost got taken out by a man moving with a large cart trying to walk out of my room. Parking is terrible and breakfast was awful with a staff that could care less if u r there or not.
Would give less than one star if possible.

Horrible food can not even make biscuits and gravy LoL for real...But will still change you even if you don't eat them $18 lot of money for crappy food. And banging all night long to boot.

We were allowed to check into out room early but this didn't seem to make a difference because we had to wait an hour for our room, no big deal. There was construction being done on the hotel but the rate was full price, whatever I can deal. When we checked in we were told about a $25.00 fee that would show up on our card but would eventually be put back into our account... I don't really understand but ok. The room was clean. Checked out and made it home comfortably, checked my account to get ready to do some grocery shopping before labor day and the Double Tree actually charged me two $25.00 fees. I called the hotel and they said it could be up to two $25.00 fees that would be returned to my account and might be taking a while because of the holiday and I explained that I was not told that, I was told about one $25.00 fee. Totally unacceptable. The fee is unnecessary in the first place and then to do it twice.

Booked this hotel on a whim. Parking was a challenge. Lobby is beautiful. Room was nice sized, no fitted sheets on bed. Bathroom was small compared to room. No fridge in room. Nice sized closet. Breakfast buffet coupons were a nice touch. Waitress was amazing.

Great welcome from front desk. Room upgrade to Mountain view for diamond. No fridge in room standard, no executive floor. Breakfast buffet is decent but I'll get made-to-order tomorrow. Fair gym. Plenty of elevators.

We were there for an event, so this review won't provide much help about rooms. Event staff: Coordination, food, and service was great. Bathrooms: They are well-maintained, even throughout the event when hundreds of people were in-and-out. Parking: Could have been better organized, but no one complained about having issues. The lot is kind of weird, so I can see how it might be easy to get into a fender bender.

My wife is here on business. The staff has been amazing. I have a special needs son. The entire staff has given him so much attention. The cafe staff has treated him so well. They all come over to visit with their little buddy. They made all our needs go away. Anything we needed this week was taken care of with respect and a pleasant attitude. The rooms are clean and updated. The location is convenient to many local attractions. The breakfast buffet was different and delicious each day of the week. Overall a great place to stay with a pleasant, friendly staff. And, yes, you must try the free complimentary chocolate chip cookies. Always warm and delicious.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and our experience can be summed up in a series of pros and cons.

PROS:
- Lots of front desk staff available to assist guests so check in/check out was accomplished quickly. The staff was friendly and efficient. I didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes whenever I needed to talk to someone at the front desk. In addition, there was a separate guest services desk that was able to assist me quickly with an online purchase I had shipped to the hotel in advance of my stay.

- Lots of elevators! I was impressed that whenever I needed to call an elevator from the lobby up to my room, there was one available right away. No issue of having to wait excessively long for the next elevator if a previous one just left or is full.

- Ample amounts of free parking available. The amount of parking available is a bit deceptive at first glance. The usual spots in the front of the hotel fill up quick and that is to be expected. But if you drive around to the back, there's actually a whole host of parking spots under cover! Very handy during the summer in Denver if you don't want to get into a greenhouse of a car the next morning. We had no issues finding a covered parking spot close to the entrance of the hotel.

CONS:
- As other reviews alluded to, the free standard wifi internet is terrible, at least on the 5th floor where we were at. It wasn't suitable for anything other than perhaps emailing and some light browsing. My significant other had to work from the room on one of the days and needed to do video conference calls. The standard internet definitely did not suffice. We ended up paying for the upgraded speed internet but we couldn't "exit" the standard internet to "sign in" for the faster internet. It took a lot back and forth with the front desk and maintenance staff before someone was able to advise us to call the IT troubleshooting customer service line where someone on the other line was able to kick us off the MAC address so that we could re-sign back in. The front desk staff should be more knowledgeable to advise guests to contact the IT troubleshooting line for any issues instead of sending a maintenance person up to our room in an effort to troubleshoot.

- No fridge in the room. This one boggles my mind. Maybe I'm naive, but I assumed by now that fridges are mostly available by default in most hotels, especially in a 3 star hotel that Doubletree purports to be. But that's right - fridges are not available by default at the Doubletree but one can be wheeled up to the room for $10/stay. At least there was an ice machine on our level and the ice was free.

Other comments:
The rest of the room was average but comfortable enough during our stay. The furnishings were a bit dated but there were also modern touches such as a LCD flat screen TV and a more-recently refurbished bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. We also experienced the seemingly damp carpet that another reviewer mentioned.

Walking around the area was not as ideal as it faces onto a busy boulevard (Quebec street) with 4 lanes of traffic each direction. However, if one were stuck without a car at the hotel, there are some walkable amenities in both directions such as walmart, starbucks, and some fast food and sit-down restaurants.

This location also has an Avis car rental on-site, which makes it convenient if one wants to rent a car for a few days. There are also other car rentals companies very close by (maybe 10-minute drive) and would definitely do a pick-up from the hotel if requested.

Given our experience, I'm not sure if I would stay at this hotel again. For the price that I paid, I think I would be more inclined to try another chain.

Staff were not knowledgeable about how to connect to upgraded Internet. They sent a maintenance man to replace the router when really they needed to call IT support to kick off my device ID and reprompt me to login with upgraded access. Ultimately resulted in me missing an important work video call.

I have never had a bad experience staying at any of the Double Tree by Hilton Hotels! They welcome you with a warm cookie and very helpful with any questions you have in regards to the hotel or about the city you're staying in. They rooms are clean and you will never have a run down room!

The first room we were given had trash in a made bed. So we called to get a new room. They said we were upgraded to the mountain view rooms and when we get to it, the room was smaller the the first the wall was peeling from the ceiling it was super hot because they did the have the ac on. We paid a good amount of money to stay here and I'm very unhappy. The elevators are so small they can only hold 3 maybe 4 grown adults. I wasn't expecting this from a Hilton.
