I stayed here for a DECA competition with my school team and had a great experience! They also gave us free cookies that were still warm, in the lobby. Hotel is very clean and elegant. Location is close to the Sheraton Centre, Court house and Eaten Centre. 4 stars because a few rooms including mine were not ready when we arrived, so we had to stay in other team members rooms for a few hours.

Good location. Comfortable room. Good value for money. Helpful front desk staff. In room coffee maker was very much appreciated. There is parking below hotel if you need it. Would definately stay there again. Many places to eat within a short walk from the hotel.
Close to Eaton Place and Chinatown; fairly Central to much of Downtown. Easy to walk everywhere. Kind of expensive. Cheap vinyl bath tub liner and warping front door. Great Service, very pleasant staff, terrific elevators.
Really a very basic hotel, but comfortable enough. Another chair in the room would improve things. The breakfast restaurant staff - in fact, all the staff - are outstanding for their cheerful helpfulness
I was there for an Annual General Meeting of the translators' association, so cannot comment on the hotel or anything else, but the service was unobtrusively efficient and the room was clean and well appointed.
They don t manage the hotel correctly, you will have to wait for hours until they give you the room, also they don t help you in carrying the luggage. The employees and the manager are not helpful. I don t recommend that hotel at all.
I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic. Located near many bars and restaurants. There are a large number of Japanese and Korean restaurants near the hotel, which was a big plus for me. The room was clean and nice, so I don't have anything to complain about.
Reasonable room price. But house keeping not great. Guest hv to clean the room tidy the beds. Replenishing the coffee cups and coffee is a process. Not happy at all.
Location is excellent. It has access to alot of restaurants and shopping malls in Toronto. But the hotel is expensive and the service is below average.
What a wonderful experience for our family of 5 to stay here, everyone was helpful, attentive and the rooms where clean, spacious and great, the view amazing!!!
Amazing service, comfortable beds. Had all commodities needed and parking. Hadn't realised parking wasn't included in price of the room so watch out for that. Also, tiny car park so manoeuvre carefully. Restaurant looked fabulous but didn't get to visit. Loved the coffee machine and takeaway coffee cups in the room.
We had a meeting for 2 days. Comfortable set up. Amazing catering . Tasty lunch with good choice of vegetarian vegan meat and fish along with sweets and fruits.
Attended the CDAO Conference on May 16th. The facilities were great, enough room and seating for everyone. Staff was prompt and fast with change overs. Everything was very neat and clean. Not sure if they also did the food but it was excellent as well.
Well-trained staff working to give you a stress-free stay. The Walnut chocolate chip cookie provided free at check-in is delicious! Stayed overnight for a conference in downtown. Would stay again
Attended a two day training session held in the conference rooms on the second floor. The conference rooms were brightly lit, well ventilated and clean. Guest WiFi was stable and fast - I was able to load videos very quickly. The washrooms were fairly clean, they could definitely use more frequent visits from the janitorial team though. Location is central, a quick walk to a lot of different restaurants inclusive of many different price ranges.
The rooms were nice and cozy. The room had all the amenities even though the price was slightly high. The service was not upto the mark for a hotel of this stature. The TV remote was no where found when entered the room and when contacted the desk, I was asked to come down to pick it (which I did). But, the new remote which was supposed to work was not working too. I did not contact the desk only because I have to come down again for this. Other than that, I liked the room.
I loved the DoubleTree. We had a great little staycation last weekend and was very happy with the place. Definitely would recommend and definitely would go back. Best bang for your buck in Toronto
Good hotel with excellent service! Very clean. Very good location in the center of Toronto. The underground car park is not suitable for full size SUVs.
Horrible experience, manager is a dink and they tried to kick me out because my company wasn't there even thought the already had the credit card info and tried to charge me for my stay
Great experience at this hotel! The staff found out it was my birthday and went out of their way to help me celebrate, even providing a breakfast voucher free of charge. My room was clean and comfortable. I had a great experience and will definitely be back!
They can do better. The first thing they do at the reception desk is point to a sign which reads "If you're not satisfied with your stay, let us know and we'll Make It Right" but failed in this and other respects. Upon arrival to the room we were greeted by dishes and silverware outside the door - how does this happen in a newly cleaned room? We also noticed immediately that the door sweep was missing and that you could see into the room from the elevators. Sure, you could only see the floor but our immediate concern became noise as we were just outside the elevators and the ice machine. Went down to front desk and told of our concerns and was informed that the hotel was fully booked and no room change could be made. While the suite is comfortable it would be better to have a door between the living area and the bedroom for those couples who sleep on different schedules. Also, not sure how this made it past the city's building review process but the only wall switch (besides for the kitchen) controls only a light by the door - if you come into your room in the dark you must make your way to the desk or bedside tables to turn on a light. Doesn't make sense. Lastly, I went to the front desk looking for coffee packets and was told they would be "right up" - never got them, I had to get some from a room attendant down the hall. They can do better.
The environment is a touch of modern with a lot of class ... The resto/bar was enjoyable and the location of the hotel is in prime location, steps from stadiums, mall and touristic areas. I did not stay here but would really consider it.
Compared to all of my other stays at other hotels, this one was the worst in terms of rooming but was the most expensive. This isn t the important part but I ll give a few examples: the bed sheets were pilling, the room was smaller compared to other hotels that were cheaper (understandable because it is downtown toronto), very poor air conditioning that was loud and overheated the room. Edit: many of the towels also had yellow stains on it.
The most important part that ruined my stay was that, despite paying the $70 for the 2-day parking, we were given a ticket from the city hall for parking at a private property without consent. This completely dumbfounded us as we already paid and haven t ever experienced this in all our years of travelling. We talked to the front desk about this and the front desk was actually pretty nice in terms of attitude. We were pretty sure that they just forgot to give us parking for 2 days and instead only gave 1 day because we were given the ticket at 12:13 pm and the checkout time was 12:00 pm. However, the front desk staff, now the manager, continuously claimed that there was a flaw in the system and that it wasn t their fault and was instead the city s fault. I obviously did not want to deal with this as I am on vacation and this was also a rental car. This ticket couldn t even be resolved right there and then because apparently a handwritten ticket needs 7-10 days to process into the system. The manager just claimed that it isn t that hard and just do it yourself .
Honestly would have given this hotel at least a 4 star review if they haven t given me, their customer, an attitude while trying to resolve THEIR issue that was brought upon us.
The staffs here are not very helpful. Does not make this trip any way more convenient but way more difficult. When I needed my package to be delivered to my room since I m in quarantine, they just told the delivery guy to leave without informing me. What do you want the delivery man to do? Throw my package through a 19 floor window? This total lack of experience and service is unbearable.
