This is by far the worst company I have ever come across. They do not communicate with their costumers, they do not rely information to new customers. They cut off my power because I didn't submit a form by 3p and they never told me if I didn't submit it by 3p my power would be off for 2 days. I asked a supervisor, named Rebecca, what they would do if my baby died because they refused to fix their mistake and turn my power back on. She told me, very sarcastically, to call 911. The lack of caring and humane treatment is uncanny. I have never felt less like a human being than dealing with this company. I will never invest into their stock, or recommend them to anyone.

Triple zero if I could rate that low.

Triple zero if I could rate that low.
Be prepared to be placed on hold 3 times even if you dial the correct department.
Be prepared for them to have computer issues .
Be prepared for your designer to change positions without notice and provide no new contact information.
If you are in new construction, I wish everyone the best of luck because Dominion will provide you with just the opposite.

Terrible, inconvient and inconsiderate service. Had no power for more than 2 DAYS now after shutdown we were not notified of and they promised to have our power back on in 1 DAY. Even though we handed in our paperwork less than 30 MINUTES after the shutdown. Complete bs. We have food in the fridge and children in the house in 90 DEGREE WEATHER with no fans/ac. Completely outrageous!!!!! They were so fast to shut off the power but not turn it back on.

I am literally disgusted and sick to my stomach with this pathetic excuse for a company. I moved into a new place in November and did my part by turning on the power. Didn t get a bill for few months so I called and asked where it was. They hadn t even activated my account until the end of January and then decided to bill me all at once with a bill for $1300 and told me to pay half and then do a payment plan even though I shouldn t be paying for their screw up. I was willing to pay from January up until now but they refused. It s a shame grown adults can t take responsibility for their actions. I have to pay for their mistake or they said my power will get turned off. Hope they sleep well at night knowing they were absolutely useless in helping people out. Literally makes me want to throw up.

Beware when signing up for their budget billing plan. I signed up in November. The December payment came out correctly. The January payment didn't come out. When I checked the website, everything looked fine. When I called, they said their internal system showed the account had been un-enrolled from their budget plan. I still had to un-enroll on their website but they could not explain it. For almost 4 years, I paid the bill online without any issues. As soon as I signed up for their budget program, this happens. Anyway, be sure to double-check everything and check often if you use their budget billing program.

10 days no power. We had services completed to our electrical system. They turned the service off within 30mins of request, but now we are on day 10 to have it reconnected. 4 days of 100 degree weather, spoiled food thrown out. Take out food almost everyday, laundromat facilities, the list goes on. Everyday they say they will make it 100%, here we are 10 days later and calling in every single day. Do you really think they care about families or their well being. Yesterday they hooked up service on 8 new construction developments where nobody even lives at. Apparently I'm not an emergency. It is under their policy to follow first come first serve. There is no emergency basis

Since Dominion office in SC is one of the most inefficient ever. The entire office closes for lunch from 1 pm to 2 pm at the inconvenience of customers such as myself. I wrote the BBB which contacted the business about this along with a few other issues surrounding practices and procedures ( on line website being subpar and the severely lacking customer representatives that were left from the former company SCE&G). So far its been more of the same defend the good ole boy practices that they have had for long. I believe a new set of employees would be order that understand customer service that the customer is right until proven otherwise.

Pretty bad to not even assign a crew to hundreds of people in an apartment complex full of kids 30 hours after an outage???. Cant tie in generators here either but it doesn't seem to effect the decision making at Va. Dominion Power.

So often when there are storm-related outages and ...

So often when there are storm-related outages and outages due to other natural disasters, Dominion takes to Facebook and Twitter to report that personnel are working hard. I have no doubt that they are. My issue with Dominion is not the hard-working field employees who spend their time in dangerous circumstances for long periods of time absent rest. Of course it's not! Those people are doing a thankless job and I thoroughly appreciate them.

Instead, my frustration comes from horrendous public relations and communications management efforts. A Fortune500 company should be able to scrabble together the resources to have someone post at least 4-5 updates a day in the aftermath of a storm. Sure, everybody's scrambling but not every Dominion employee is a field technician either, just as not every hospital employee is a doctor. Those updates should include more information than "We're assessing the damage." Of course you are! Or more specifically, your field workers are. But that is the sole update often for 2-3 days at a time when it's unreasonable to believe this is the case. Telling your customers that power restoration is expected within 48 hours is still better than saying "We're looking, we're looking" even if you have to modify that 48 hour ETA. This is the absolute #1 complaint I see about Dominion from others as well.

Beyond this, in the recent storms (June 2016) that knocked out 75% or more of Dominion's Richmond area customers, the social media updates included constant notes about how this was the first big storm in 4 years. Great. So what was done between 2012 and 2016 to improve the infrastructure to make it easier to contend with these problems in the future? I'm not looking for perfection here; I'm looking for progress. This specifically revolves around better cooperation on burying power lines, upgrading delivery systems, and even stronger management of an outbound media message. Modern Americans will naturally be ticked when the power goes off but I swear they'll be LESS ticked if they get updates and a consistent stream of improvements.

I do want to note once again, though, that the efforts of those employees who go out and do their jobs and do them in terrible conditions should still be commended. Meanwhile, the managerial messages and corporate vision might need some tending.

Such trash of a company who woulda thought they would be an electric company. Smh no customer service and no concern. Truly sucks they are the monopoly of the Richmond tri-city area. No competition means they never have to improve or get better and they take full advantage of it. Truly sad. Pure trash

Very rude people working for Dominion. Over charged on my account. There is no way I would use this company if I had choice. Still trying to figure out how in the world my power bill was over $800.00 in one month when my power bill has never been over $130.00 a month. I mean really. And of course it's not there fault.

This is not a customer oriented company they do not work with the customers at all! The arrangements they offer are not accommodating in anyway. They refuse to break payments down for the paying customer! We need lights for the roof over our head so why not work with hard working people? Very very very passed at the fact at I've Been a customer for years and they don't work with you .They give you what they want and it don't work for everyone we live in a world of change !every now and then people situations change so some things have to be altered! Me and a lot of people have the same concerns dealing with dominion but they have no heart or compassion for women or families with kids. It's 2018 and they are still cold hearted when it comes to helping the customers .

It would be really ideal if you let your customers know that although most people move on weekends. Dominion Power will not transfer their services for you during that time.. That it must be done on the Friday prior (no matter if your new lease has started or not). I had no idea.. . Right now I have a Sunday move with no electricity until Tuesday.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I have been waiting for them to connect my power for almost 4 months now. We have been living in a hotel with a special needs child for the past month and half now. WE STILL DON'T HAVE POWER. Patrick Giff was the person working on it but he is impossible to get a hold of and for the past two months he has been working on a design with no design to show for. The customer service phone line is terrible and they will not connect you to their supervisor or the person in charge to help you out. TERRIBLE COMPANY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The worst part is that we have to go through them, there is no other energy company we can get power from.

Very terrible customer service. They overcharged my bill more than 100 dollars a month. I asked them to check my meter but very rude associate said they can't help me at all. I absolutely didn't use more than 1,000kwh a month cause I've never been at home last month. Is it a unreasonable demand to check my meter? I don't understand at all.

About Dominion Virginia Power

Dominion Virginia Power: Providing Clean, Safe, Reliable and Affordable Energy to Millions of Customers

Dominion Virginia Power is a subsidiary of Dominion Energy, one of the largest producers and transporters of energy in the United States. Dominion Energy operates in 16 states across the U.S., offering clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy to more than 7 million customers.

With a history dating back over a century, Dominion Virginia Power has been providing electricity to homes and businesses throughout Virginia since 1909. Today, it serves over 2.5 million customers in Virginia alone.

The company's mission is to provide its customers with reliable energy at an affordable price while also being environmentally responsible. To achieve this goal, Dominion Virginia Power has invested heavily in renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power.

One of the company's most significant investments was the construction of two offshore wind turbines off the coast of Virginia Beach. These turbines are capable of producing enough electricity to power up to 3,000 homes each year while also reducing carbon emissions by up to 12 thousand tons annually.

In addition to renewable energy sources like wind and solar power, Dominion Virginia Power also operates several nuclear power plants that provide clean and reliable electricity without emitting greenhouse gases or other pollutants into the atmosphere.

The company is committed not only to providing clean energy but also ensuring that it is delivered safely and reliably. To achieve this goal, Dominion Virginia Power has implemented advanced technologies such as smart meters that allow for real-time monitoring of electricity usage.

This technology enables customers to track their usage patterns more closely so they can make informed decisions about how they use their electricity. It also helps Dominion Virginia Power identify potential issues before they become major problems so that they can be addressed quickly before any disruptions occur.

Another way that Dominion Virginia Power ensures reliability is through its extensive network of transmission lines and substations. The company invests heavily in maintaining these critical infrastructure components so that they can continue delivering electricity even during extreme weather events or other emergencies.

Despite all these investments in renewable energy sources and advanced technologies for delivering safe and reliable electricity services; however; there are still challenges facing companies like Dominion Energy when it comes down ranking on search engines results pages (SERPs).

To outrank other websites on SERPs requires creating high-quality content optimized for SEO purposes using relevant keywords related specifically towards your business niche or industry sector which will help improve your website's visibility online thereby increasing traffic flow leading ultimately towards higher conversion rates from visitors into paying clients/customers/subscribers etcetera depending on what type(s) service(s) you offer as a business entity operating within your respective market segment(s).

In conclusion; if you're looking for an electric utility provider who offers clean safe reliable affordable energy services then look no further than Dominon Virgina Powe! With over a century worth experience serving millions satisfied customers across multiple states within US territory including Virginian residents themselves - there really isn't anyone better suited than them when it comes down choosing someone trustworthy enough handle all your electrical needs!
