Customer service is below sub par. Those who work there have zero ethics. And are complete morons.
Before I got my current job. I was unemployed for a long time, and I also went to vocational rehabilitation center in the back of the employment center. This place is worthless I never got a job from there, and the employee of the center don't help you out.
Now, since God have bless me with my own apartment, car and job plus going to school. I don't need any help with this agency anymore.
I wish you all the job seekers luck trying to find a job !
Not helpful at ALL. Some of their employees are extremely rude and make you feel stupid. I wouldn t even give this place a one star.
Great resource for looking for employment or retraining
I came here on July 20th, 2020 and didn't have to wait and received help almost immediately. Eric Green assisted me with navigating through the difficulties of the Florida unemployment website with ease. With his assistance, it was a very easy and productive experience and I would go back here again easily. They were very strict with COVID 19 regulations and I felt very safe.
This place is not awesome. I have been out of work a long time not by choice and nobody will help you. They give you bad advice etc.
Very unprofessional. They ask you to attend a mandatory meeting and come 15 minutes early, yet you wait more than an hour to see someone. Try your best never to end up unemployed, go to a temp agency.
The only person you'll speak to is the operator. You'll leave messages sporadically over the course of a month and no one calls you back from the Florida Ave office. Many voicemails left and no one calls you back. They have been of absolutely no help.
I've been trying to get help from these people since June 9th. It's been almost three months now since I applied for a WIOA grant. My counselor Antionette Broome doesn't respond to my emails or phone calls. I've also tried to contact the program coordinator without any luck getting a reply. Is there anyone that works here that I can talk to?

Received a voucher from their WIOA program in 03/2019 and my school still hasn't received payment from the voucher. THIS IS NOW GOING AGAINST MY CREDIT WHICH I OBVIOUSLY CAN"T AFFORD OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE NEEDED ASSISTANCE. This is holding me back from achieving my career goals and is considered fraud. I SIGNED A CONTRACT. FIX THIS OR I WILL!!! IT IS NOW 07/2019
One can't actually call Career Source, you can only speak with a call-center person.
They're helpful in getting you in school. They have a lot of job fairs. But they really suck when it comes to wanting you to be there 35 hours a week like its a full time job. They don't have a microwave for you to warm a lunch and they're rules are ridiculous. But its ok if you have patience.
Customer service is OK. The 3 stars were for the Vet Reps. If your a veteran you get very dedicated workers who are there to help you.
Other than the veteran service this place is very slow, and disorganized. The first time I came in I signed into the kiosk and was confused. I asked the front desk for help and needless to say very little help or guidance was provided. I was not informed of the Vet rep area and spent an entire afternoon waiting to be seen before leaving.
The second time I came in and requested to be escorted to the veteran area since a buddy told me about it. Ever since than I have received alot of help.
Recommendation to non-veterans is to ensure you are extremely patient, check in, and if you haven't been seen double, triple, and quadruple check until you are helped. You have to be your own liaison here.
I have been to 3 different Florida career source offices. 2 up in the panhandle and this one. By far this is the worst one.
Terrible... No one helps you... I asked one gentleman a simple question how the fax worked and he would not even get up out of seat to show me... He instead gave me a frustrated answer and then went back to using his cell phone... The resources are super limited and equipmemt outdated... I have college and work experience and found this place useless waste of tax money... How bout extend the time of 3 month of unemployment to 6 months and just shut this places down...Better resources at local library...
As a veteran looking for guidance. I can say this place doesn t deserve the one star that I gave them. The staff are just there for a paycheck. I received no assistance at all they just pawn you off on someone else and they only offer general knowledge like websites to look at. Also, most of the staff are extremely unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend anyone to waste your time here.

There was one woman who helped me and she was so nice I believe her name was linda parham. She was professional and very informative

Okay my visit to the career source let me start by saying I only put four stars because I had one big big problem I tried to sign on I was helped by a young lady named Leandra Foster she was impeccable outstanding extremely helpful to White kind and went out of her way for me and gave me great advice and even said a prayer for me something we all need at a time like this but just outstanding service clean very kind and polite I can't say enough as you can see on the other hand I was greeted by a woman blonde hair she was at the podium as I walked up her name I didn't get she didn't give me but I found out it was mis styling understandingly very stressful volunteer work hostile environment with the virus and all of the people out of work understandable but her manners and her rude comments in the way she conducted herself she should be removed immediately from that far terrible terrible person push very hard and me to have an episode or an incident I did not respond to her other than couple questions I never got an answer for so I waited for Leandra installing vent tried to push me and push me and say I can help you I can answer your question I since you can't answer my question I need to speak with that young lady after speaking with Leandra I had everything I needed and she was a great help thank you very much for your resources I run a retail and customer service Corporation with over 260 employees I am an executive management and oversee customer service and relations I'm sorry but I don't think she should be on that for and I hope she's okay because she was extremely aggressive looking for an incident please refresh her or remove her and I can look back in and give you a 5-star easily thanks again stay safe
