Amazing location, incredible beach, beautiful building and grounds... Price was the limiting factor and some things cost A LOT. This resort definitely caters to the higher class... That said, I mentioned the word towel beside a pool and as if by magic, a concierge person was handing me 2... Overall I would come back, if I could fetch a good deal!

Don t let the pictures fool you. The pool is super outdated and the service is horrible. The people are ghetto. The kids area is old. Spend more and stay at a real resort like the Lowe s.

An excellent place, the incredible view, the pool area open 24 hours, fun for children and adults, the varied cuisine and clean and remodeled rooms, if guests arrive they can use valet parking, $ 20 for 4 hours.

The curio by Hilton is riding the coast tails of the former Westin and their reputation. Don't know if the remodeling was actually an improvement. It now smells like curry in the jungle instead of white tea and aloe which once infused in the air conditioning system. The new bar has taken away from the awe inspiring ocean view from the lobby, and causes a little more humidity indoors. Also eliminating revolving doors and door men, to hard to open doors to the pool. Which you have to walk past bar patrons in your suit to get to. Akward. Bathrobes are gone, Starbucks in the kureg is now a Nespresso machine no one could figure out, and all drinks are $15 or more. But sunrise yoga instructor zens out your frustration and the ladies in the Counter Point get you caffeinated and sassy for the day.

Really nice hotel and nice staff. Not bad in comparison to other convention center hotels. My room overlooked the ocean and was great. My friends room looked like it had been renovated more recently. Food at the hotel was ok. Not a lot of food options besides whats right at the convention center.

We really loved Neka A.K.A the unicorn!!! Her service was great!! She was able to get us a beach view and she was very friendly and kind! And helped with a later checkout that was more accommodating for our schedule!!! We will be back, thanks Neka!!!!!

We've been going to the Weston diplomat for years on holidays. This year however, was the nastiest, rudest place I have ever been to. The ambient was TERRIBLE, and the customer service, for get about it. Our room wasn't ready until 5 PM when checking was at 4, our paid balcony wasn't even able to be opened, and the room reeked of cigarette. Before the Westin was a Hilton, it was probably the most perfect hotel ever, now, stay away, very very far away.
By the way, the manager Fabiola, the most condescending, rudest, most disgusting attitude, person EVER.
Don't waste your time or your money.

I update this post at least one a month! Stay somewhere else, until I can say it's been dealt with. Have you been taken advantage of by this hotel? Let me know.
Stayed three nights, paid for package including valet and had gas cards stolen out of our vehicle. Not one manager wanted to come out and give their name, nor did any of the customer service desk agents. The valet manager refused to meet me and told the young valet to offer us a later checkout. Called Hilton Corporate several time without response from the hotel manager or general manager. One person called and said they'd look into it, that's been a month. Although the hotel has great views, this is one place you can't trust and it cost me over $850. Thank Hilton, never again!
Update 9/4/18: Still haven't received a call or apology. Thank goodness for social media. If I were you, I'd chose another hotel.
Update 10/4/18: Still no communication. I guess they just support thievery and ownership looks the other way. If anyone reads this, look for another hotel, especially if you value your personal belongings. So many better places to stay for the money.
Updste 11/4/18: Still no communication from the General Manager or anyone affiliated with this hotel. My advice is to stay away from this hotel until I get an answer on why they feel the need to steal from guests and not communicate. I'll be escalating to Hilton Corporate to make sure they understand a hotel can't treat people the way they do here.
12/4/18 : As we end the year there still has been no resolution or response as the owner commented there would. Again I'll keep up posting as to any communication with this hotel. If you do decide to stay at this hotel, it's strongly urged that you NOT use the valet services. This is the services that stole from us and never responded. The last we heard from Hilton "We'll check our security footage and be in touch" that was four months ago. This year we'll be reopening the case with Hilton corporate and get to the bottom of the case with this hotel.
1/17/19: Happy New Year! Still no response from anyone at the hotel or Hilton regarding our situation. As you remember from my previous posts, the head of security was going to review the video and call me immediately . This tells me they know what happened and refuse to acknowledge it. Until I hear further, stay away from this hotel if you value your personal items and if you appreciate customer service.
2/15/19 Finally emailed Hilton Corporate Office and immediately received phone calls. Found out Valet is outsourced. I don't want to put that person's name here because he's new to that position, but still no investigation. Farak (Name probably not spelled correctly) left a message offering a free suite upgrade to another stay, you're kidding right?
He said 'I hope this will be a diplomatic solution". Of course I called him back a few times now and still nothing. FYI Farak, I don't want your "free upgrade". I'll keep updating this review until a meaningful resolution is reached. It's really ashame that a Hilton location treats a longtime member like this. Until further notice, continue to stay away from this location no matter how nice the views are.

Nice hotel, but overpriced. Grumpy, unfriendly service in the 'candy and cones' ice cream shop, but the ice cream was delicious. The room smelled a bit of insect fumigation/spray when first arrived, fortunately it dissipated after first night. Conference facilities were good, food was great. Room doors didn't block much noise from the hallways. If not for the conference, not sure I'd stay here again on my own.

Not sure, we spent 5 days here and a good amount of money. Howevery I was somewhat disappointed. Yes its grand but I think its causing some setbacks. Details were overlooked. We arrived and there was small trash on a table, complained and was credited a nominal amount. Then 2 days later the housekeeping didn't replenish toilet paper, called and requested it. Nothing, crickets nothing was brought. I then found the housekeeper and she handed me a roll. Thereafter there was an issue where police had to be called due to unruly guests throwing stuff down to pool from some higher floor. Basically, yes it's grand, has a great pool but- overall I think it was a 3 star caliber hotel. For the price I expected something that would impress me. IF you want to party yes come to the Diplomat lots of drinking and just party feel. Hope they get to a more sophisticated atmosphere. Where one can have a good time but not like spring break party vibe. Too bad, I probably will not stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with large rooms, scenic views, and is on the beach. My only knock on The Diplomat is that the balconies were closed. Being able to chill on the balcony, overlooking the Atlantic, would have made this a 5-star rating.

I went to the Diplomat as a stay-cation Resort for my birthday and it was the BEST! We had an amazing room with the perfect view of the ocean. The room was brand new and even though we weren't, it felt like we were the first guests there. It was extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. For the day we went out to the cabanas, they attendnaets were great and made sure we didn't need anything at all. the weather was perfect and so was my weekend at the Diplomat! What a great birthday!

The staff were ALL so polite and friendly! Room on 32nd floor was SO quiet! The bed was a cloud from heaven (pillows too!). LOVED the deep soaker tub! The little shop with fresh food in the lobby...OMG, so good! They cook their own food in the hotel and stock this little shop! Gorgeous pastries, wine, cheese, sandwiches, salads. Around $10 for a sandwich and $10 for a salad, but fresh and very big. I was surprised at how trashy (install trash cans?) the beach in front of the hotel was though. Seriously? The pool needed a new plaster job. As well, the pools were FULL TO THE BRIM with kids!!! I'm an adult and prefer a calm pool experience so I did not use the pool due to over crowding. Furniture in the room was starting to show a little wear, but I know the hotel was purchased last year and is getting ready for a renovation. Room service food was so tasty! Nothing was within walking distance (stores/restaurants) of the hotel. Rental car is the way to go. Traffic was never a problem. I parked in the circle drive right in front of the hotel for a flat rate of $35 a day. Yeah, I know, big bucks, but hey, I walked out the front door to my parked rental car! Otherwise, you have to park in a parking garage, walk to and from it, AND still pay $25 a day, plus various taxes. I was very irritated with parking fees at the hotel. The valet men were all very polite and professional though! I wish I could go to Florida at stay at the Diplomat every 6 weeks for a short R&R!!! (They do have a small great gym. They have a beautiful convention center next door so make sure there is not a convention booked when you want to stay there). This is not an inexpensive hotel. This is a resort hotel so deep pockets are handy!

First off let me say this about our family. We are 100% Best western middle class people. We took a family vacation through southwest and got a very good deal. We had both sets of parents, sibling and our 7 mo. old.
We went knowing that this was a very upscale hotel, and the people normally staying here don't care about $10 drinks, or parking cost an additional $20-25/day. Yes, almost everything is extra and cost more, but your also on vacation and in a tourist environment you should already expect to spend some money.
The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach. The pools were great and everything was fantastic, from check in to our room. The staff was fine when we needed something, luckily we never needed them for much. The valet was fine, you can text them your ticket # and they can have the car ready for you by the time your ready to go, which came in handy.
There is a little cafe with snacks and stuff, it was affordable, but we went to some local restaurants that were great and no more than a 15 min drive or taxi ride.
We also went to one of the grocery stores nearby for alcohol and snacks too, kept them in our room, and that's what we mostly did for our drinking, the hotel and staff didn't care at all.
Overall our experience was fine. The grounds are awesome. You just have to be open minded and realistic.

Because I left a one star review, you might think I am biased. I will tell you objectively the facts of what happened, and I will leave my subjective opinions out of it.
1. Our mini fridge was not pushing cold air as there was ice in the back of the fridge. I could have chiseled it out myself, but I d assume paying $500 for a night would have at least guaranteed a working fridge. So, i gave guest services a call to have maintenance take a look while we went to the pool. We came back from the pool, and a note from maintenance said that the fridge was fine. The fact is, if the fridge isnt cold or pushing out cold air, it isn t working fine (even if mechanically, the fridge is working). So, i did it myself. I chiseled the ice out myself (made alot of noise) and turned off the fridge to thaw out the ice. I gave guest services a call again to let them know that the fridge is fine now after i gave it some elbow grease. Another maintenance guy came, said what i did fixed it, and said to not turn the fridge temp too cold. Else it might freeze up again. This ordeal took about a good 2 hours to figure out.
2. On the door itself. Near the deadbolt area, there is a metal guard that meets the door frame. That metal piece was weakly glued on and fell off when i first opened the door. I let guest services know i didnt cause it so i would get charged for the damage. It didnt effect my stay at all. But, just another thing i noticed.
3. Upon checkout, i paid for parking, and was told i was good and would not get charged again when i pick up my car right outside. I see a posted charge on my card account for an additional night of parking (they double charged me). I am trying to give them a call as i am typing this (8am on a wednesday), and it looks like i am unable to get a hold of anyone.
4. I let them know about my stay to the concierge via text message (as they asked me about my stay via text). I only informed them about point 1. They said they would get back to me, but I havent heard from them.
Conclusion - Even the Park Inn by Radisson in Orlando, FL (i know, its far away from Hollywood, FL) has more consistency than this hotel. When you go to Wyndam or other budget hotels, you know what you are going to get. For a hotel like this that charges $500/night, its a lack of attention to detail that causes situations like i described. Your situation may vary. One 1/5 star review won t change their overall rating. But I am merely telling you the facts about my stay. I would not be recommending this hotel to anyone. Save your money.

My goodness, how much are they paying for 2000 fake reviews these days? Can there be such a thing as a 4 star hotel with
no service elevator? Or where no one helps with bags? Or where you are sent to a room with people in it? Or where there is no valet to greet you when you pull in? How about a filthy lobby? Or a restaurant that sells $19 hamburgers with sticky tables and a garbage smell? Honestly I have been to worse places. But in terms of value this is the absolute worst I have ever seen. I can't think of anything else in my experience that costs this much for so little. I don't think I have ever encountered a staff that cared less.

Parking valet or 35 dollars a day across the street. The lobby was bustling and bright with bell drive and check in off to your right north face rooms have city views and south face rooms have ocean views. Private beach and pool. Room comfortable 2 beds or king. Clean modern decor with flat screen fuschia fridge and fuschia chair.

I was here for a work conference. The biggest hotel I have ever stayed in! Loved that the rooms were pretty sound proof from the hallway and neighboring rooms. Nice spacious bathrooms. Amazing view from my room. Loved the idea of going green and getting a $5 coupon for food. A couple of reasons we aren't giving 5 stars. There weren't any water fountains that we could find outside the gym. Almost seemed like a push to buy the bottled water. Everything was VERY expensive to buy. The minimal times I interacted with staff, half were not friendly and one was even rude. So many fees. There is a $40 "miscellaneous" daily fee on my bill. When I asked about it, I was told it was the resort fee. Online it says the resort fee is $30. I will be following up on this more.

I am a person who love all races I was having a wonderful time until I was in the area by the pool having drinks and a really racist movie was playing birth of a nation and everyone was tooned in even the little white kids I felt uncomfortable after that I asked them to change the channel just something a person doesn t want to see on vacation just turned me off felt they were being very racist I asked for a manager to address my concerns he never showed up and I have spent plenty of money throughout the years with them never again I don t support Racism

Okay, so we went here looking for something different than our regular Saturday night restaurant outings. Bristol Burgers was less than half full. I say this because 2 stars were removed for painfully slow service. They have an arcade for the kids. Games are free. Unfortunately, half of the games were busted and the ones that worked were being hogged by adults. So the food, it was okay but just okay. We ordered 2 burgers, kids burger and kids mac and cheese. Everyone had a soda (no alcohol was ordered). We ordered one appetizer. BAM! $90.00. They automatically include an 18% gratuity. I'm assuming this has less to do with foreign visitors who don't get tipping and more to do with people leaving crappy tips if they didn't because service was painfully slow. Our server was friendly, but that did not make up for wildly slow service and $90 for okay burgers. I would avoid this place.

Unfortunately it's a 1 star. The facilities are great but the people were not. Its pricey which is fine for a nice resort. However, you would expect great service for these prices. Not the case at all. The staff was rude at check in and it lasted the entire week. There were glimpses of hope with certain individuals but overall it was poor at best. No one seemed to want us there. Our family never asks for extras and tips generously, especially for great service. They automatically included gratuities for all dining/drinks and seemed put out to serve $150 meals and $15 drinks to our party of 2 adults and 1 child. We had high hopes when we pulled up and left promising never to go back.

You would expect a hotel of this caliber to at least have shuttle service to and from the airport. Holiday Inn Express even offers that. And paying for parking as a guest is simply price gouging. If I'm going to pay that much for a hotel room I expect at least one of those two things. No free breakfast either. I should have stayed someplace else and will in the future.

We loved our gorgeous suite with a beautiful ocean view. Very clean, and superbly comfortable. The amenities were wonderful too. The restaurants were insanely expensive, although we expected that. It was an easy walk to the boardwalk and a quick Lyft ride to downtown Hollywood which is a lot of fun. I'm taking one star away though, because I left a swimsuit behind and the housekeeper didn't turn it in (despite me leaving a sizable tip) which was a bummer.
