Was expecting nicer rooms. It was clean and comfortable but getting old and outdated. The lobby and location completely make up for it.
Great experience staying at the hotel. Friendly staff and love the club lounge
My daughter had a blast, we will be back nx yr. Thank you Ms.Dallace for giving me a breathtaking view in our room.
Staff are friendly and professional. Restaurant is decent but overpriced. View from patio is amazing but wear your sunscreen. Rooms are nice and shower is acceptable. Ample parking and close to downtown entertainment.
The conference I attended was very well done. They provided a lot of foods and beverages that had a lot of options! I have a dairy and gluten allergy and there was almost always something I could eat and drink.
I was there for a professional meeting with a small group of people. The room we were using was not very modern. The location of the room we were in was not obvious. A map at the front door of the south wing would make navigation easier.
Take this review with a grain of salt, since we stayed in August when covid precautions were still in effect.
Location was great, right on the water. Our room was ready earlier than expected.
No daily room cleaning because of covid precautions, you have to call down for replacements of towels and toiletries. These take a while to actually arrive.
We were on our honeymoon and informed the staff upon our booking (and via subsequent emails), did not even receive an acknowledgement of this from the staff. Most high end hotels/resorts go above and beyond for their guests during special occasions.
Parking is extra.
Daily resort fee (I think this only includes internet, since parking is extra).
Casino was closed due to covid.
Pool is only open 12pm to 6pm, difficult to reserve a lounge chair online, but we went to the pool around 5pm and there were plenty available, so not sure why they weren t available to reserve online.
The hotel seems busy, because no one seems to pick up at the front desk when you call.
The staff are always friendly and the food is good. It's always a pleasure staying at this hotel.
Very typical high end hotel gourmet restaurant. Which is another way of saying very average food, but overpriced. That said, best location in town. Right next to casino, have coffee on hotel's own mini pier, drive boat right up to hotel yet be downtown, nice ambience and appropriately priced hotel pricing. Great place if you never been to Kelowna before. Locals will have alternative favourites.
Stopped in to visit for a drink and was impressed by the friendly service.
Rooms were nice, large and clean. I noticed no magnifying mirror in the bathroom , so when hotel called us to see how our room was I asked if they had one to lend me. They did not at that moment, but shortly after they delivered one to our room. They obviously went out and purchased one for me. Great stuff! Pool closed for repair was a bit of a disappointment but understand repairs must happen sometime. There would never be a convenient time I guess. Food very good in hotel restaurant. Great choice of local craft beers. Highly recommend.
Was here for drinks... Typical prices and quality. Nice atmosphere.
Great reno. So great to finally have a good restaurant as par of this hotel.
The place to stay in Kelowna. Staff are great rooms are super clean and what a location
Cocktails and food at Oak and Cru were excellent. Views were beautiful in the restaurant with great service
Nice place to stay with easy walk to the hot spots in Kelowna.
Kelowna Marriott was excellent, we were upgraded by the friendly front desk girl to a lovely room, nice touch for a staycation date nite!
Very disorganized catering devision, not what one expects from the Grand. Can do better (I know they can.)
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Location is convenient with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Will definitely be back
The casino here is an aweful place to spend your hard earned dollars. The staff is rude, disponndent, and crass. My crew and I have absolutely nothing good to say about the lack of energy, lack of vibe, lack of service, and absolute lack of ANY of "professionalism" of the the staff. We were treated so poorly that we will never come back! If you are looking for a place to spend some money and have some fun, DON'T GO TO THIS CASINO. They are not worthy of your patronage.
Not worth the price you pay. Room wasn't clean. Tub was clogged. Staff wasn't very friendly. Kept telling them there elevator was broken, but they blamed us for putting our key card near our cell. Had to help a couple out of elevator due to being broken. Too many things to list. Will be writing head office with the rest.
Stay 2 nights. May 29 and May 30. Room was clean. Bed and pillows was not comfortable. Being rated as a 4.5 star hotel I was a little disappointed. Was lacking some bathroom supplies. Did not have robes in our room. As for my daughter's suite there was only one robe. Have stayed at other hotel that provided robes and slippers.
If I could give a lower rating I would. I booked a suite, drove here with my 9 year old son; was told they didn t accept my type of credit card (even though I was paying cash in full for the room) and at 7pm my only option was to turn around and drive 4 hours home. The front desk said they would do me the favour of not charging ME for canceling the reservation that I in fact needed a d wanted to use. They said nothing on the phone about what kind of card they require to check in and they had no problem putting the reservation hold on my card. Honestly the worst experience at a hotel ever. My son and I both left in tears.
Really nice hotel. Great pool area and bar. Staff are very accommodating.
I had a very poor experience and already left a review on Google.
Oak & Cru....great location, OK service and OK food. Nice menu but delivery was underwhelming...go for the view, cocktails and wine list.
The best experience I've had at a hotel in over a decade of business travel!
Went for a paste dinner (as it turned out) at the Oak and Crew restaurant. This is a great improvement over its predecessor before the lobby renovation. I do miss the dolphin sculpture. Removing that was a mistake in my view. Menu offerings are interesting with good local source ingredients. This evening I did a downtown stroll to find a place to eat and ended up here after declining the waits at Earls And Cactus Club. Shared a land and sea flat bread and spinach salad. Both were good choices with novel and tasty ingredients. Love food cooked in a wood fire oven. Serving size was adequate. Little risk of over eating or having to take food home, which was fine as the food was good and interesting and i was not looking for a feast. Prices are average to above average for this style of modern smart casual restaurant. Plenty of seating. Staff care and provide good service. Parking downtown is always a challenge but the hotel does have a parade. Not sure if you get reimbursed of you eat at the restaurant but worth asking. Beautiful patio when the weather is good and warm.
Amazing location. Beautiful view. Amazing drinks. Would highly recommend
We arrived from London England after long journey. Our family with four young children were kept waiting for five hours as our room was not ready past the check in time.
No one had the courtesy to keep us informed and we waited in the hotel lobby waiting for our room to become available. They initially told us they would ring my cell phone once the room is available- that phone call never came.
After repeatedly asking they had no answer and rubies our mood and the whole first of three days stay in Kelowna.
Delays can happen in any hospitality but it s about how you look after the customer whilst they are kept waiting...
One of the worst customer service experiences in a hotel chain of this league...
Good hotel
Welcoming
Pleasent experience
Close to everything
Great location. Nice and central, right by the water. Unfortunately the smokey skies killed the view, but I would definitely recommend.
Co-Vid is tough but these guys know what they are doing. A big "shout out" to Julia Zhakova who found a solution for our family of four to visit the pool which is governed by some strict Co-Vid parameters...
The hotel to stay at for downtown waterfront resort feel and pampering.
The property is in a great location and the staff were very helpful. We had requested a crib for our room but never received confirmation one way or another (I don't understand why hotels dont confirm availability). When we checked in at about 8, the front desk said there would be a crin in the room but there wasn't.The staff did track one down eventually, it got to our room at about 11, so good on the staff for finding one. The mattress in our room needed to be replaced, it sagged towards the centre of the bed and was not very comfortable. The outdoor pool was great, the indoor pool could use a remodel, styled like a roman bath and felt very 90s. The patio at the restaurant was great with a nice view on the lagoon. Overall the resort was good but I felt it was overpriced for what you get with the room quality.
Ate at Oak & Cru with 4 friends today on my recommendation. NOT busy, 45 min after ordering we enquired re: food to 3 different employees. Finally arrived 10 min later. Limited menu, food mediocre at best , service so so. My friends were very disappointed and I was mortified. We all live here and will never eat there again.
Friendly staff, close to amenities and activities. Great views of the lake!
We are in our weekend here and it is a nightmare, the toilet is clogged in one room the smell from the same room made a stench in the hallway it is in and it is really bad, the customer service is late , and didn t offer to change the room until we asked them and even we are not adjacent together at the same floor, then we ate waiting until this happened the service here is not what we expect. I don t recommend this hotel for anyone.
Awesome location in Downtown Kelowna, near many amenities in an increasingly fun city. Great venue for a conference or event.
Staying at the Grand never disappoints! I always have a great time when I stay there and I will always be a repeat customer. The vibe of the hotel is great, the staff at OAK + CRU were friendly and made sure we had a good time. I see some complaints on the reviews about the loud music in the lobby, but I liked it. And lastly, the location can't be beat. It is a bit on the pricey side, but you pay for what you get! Can't wait for my next visit!
Stayed in Kelowna many times and would be my favourite by far. Top shelf accommodation, service and great restaurant. Rooms have everything you expected in a 5 star hotel and all the trimmings. Great view and service was amazing.
Rooms were nice, unfortunately the service was very poor. Without going into all the details, this is the 2nd BC experience with this hotel chain that is service related... $1000/night we certainly expected the staff to achieve better communication between departments and especially with hotel guests. If you can, stay away! Regards, JP
Great hotel at a central location. Several amenities on offer including dining, spa and relaxation.
Excellent experience - They had a manatory face mask policy, if you didn't have a mask they would give you one by the attendent at the door. I appreciated this as if everyone wears a mask it can be effective. The king room I was given was on the 6th floor even had a view of the lake, I was surprised as I was given governement rate. The restaurant on site (Oak and Cru) had superb views and fantastic food. All the staff in the hotel did an excellent job making me feel welcome and accomodated. The pool was by 1:45 reservation and all chairs were sanitized between guests. There was no maid service during my 3 night stay due to COVID-19 but that was understandable. I will say that if I was not able to get government rate I would not have stayed there as their prices were very high. Overall excellent experience.
Great place to go for dinner by the lake. Food was great
I didn't stay at the hotel but the restaurant (oak + cru) was excellent
Lovely hotel, great food and service! Would definitely return!
Beautiful room! Great service! Pool was lovely and the location was amazing
Good beds, polite staff. The fitness facilities are nice.
Great location on the water, lots to see and do nearby
Modern clean rooms, very friendly staff, good lounge restaurant
The food was delicious at Oak+Cru, and it has a great atmosphere for a nice dinner out.
Everything was great. The hotel itself has everything you need like clothing shops, Starbucks, gym, spa, pool (which has a beautiful yard to go with it).
Great hotel with good attention to detail when it came to service. However do remember to bring basic toiletries as items such as toothpaste and mouthwash aren't available.
Nice friendly place, great atmosphere, awesome people
