Went for a paste dinner (as it turned out) at the Oak and Crew restaurant. This is a great improvement over its predecessor before the lobby renovation. I do miss the dolphin sculpture. Removing that was a mistake in my view. Menu offerings are interesting with good local source ingredients. This evening I did a downtown stroll to find a place to eat and ended up here after declining the waits at Earls And Cactus Club. Shared a land and sea flat bread and spinach salad. Both were good choices with novel and tasty ingredients. Love food cooked in a wood fire oven. Serving size was adequate. Little risk of over eating or having to take food home, which was fine as the food was good and interesting and i was not looking for a feast. Prices are average to above average for this style of modern smart casual restaurant. Plenty of seating. Staff care and provide good service. Parking downtown is always a challenge but the hotel does have a parade. Not sure if you get reimbursed of you eat at the restaurant but worth asking. Beautiful patio when the weather is good and warm.
