This was the fourth dealer that I tried for our HRV. Ronald Rajnai was the first person to fully understand our expectations about the car (others were just trying to sell what they had in their stock). Though the model and color we wanted was very rare, he tried all the options and finally got it from a different place (There were only a couple of them available in the whole tri-state area at that time) We were very satisfied with the whole process and the pricing. Over all, it was a great pleasant car buying experience. Keep up the good work Ron.
I was looking for a vehicle for my daughter. My husband recommended going to Academy Honda for the best deal. Sanjay Chadda was great and made her first car purchase memorable.
Do not buy a car from this dealer. They have the old switch and bait trick. One of the managers named Jazz got me to come in the first time I reserved to view and test drive a car. I drove an hour and half just be baited. They listed a car on their website and when I called to schedule a viewing they claim to have it in stock and ready for a test drive. Once they got me into the dealer past the front door, they claim that the car was just sold. They offered to show me another comparable vehicles which you guessed it..... MORE EXPENSIVE........... The car I was interested in purchasing (with the same stock number and pictures) which by the way was reduced this week by $200.00, has been listed on their website for over for 3 weeks. They claim that it would take a few days for the vehicle to be removed from their website... Obviously that didn't happen because it's a switch and bait tactic....... I would once a week and get the same song and dance. "The car is available would you like to come in and view it?" After I would question the representative regarding the availability of the car by stating that I found it odd because I was told on two occasions that the car was already sold. The representative did not know what to say, but briskly put me on hold for quite some time... After a long wait, she returned only to inform me that I was right that "The car was sold" and followed up with asking me if "I wanted to come in to see another car"...After a few days of that call, I still get phone calls from that dealership saying that the car is available....What a joke!... ... My point is don't trust this car dealership... ..They just want to get you into the dealership...... Don't let this happen to you... . I won't be going back there..... Good luck!

I was very thrilled.As a woman usually you dont know much about cars and he helped me make the right decision.He was wonderful with my daughter which is 4 years old,my family who also came with me. I brought my car in 2x's for them to find the problem with the transmission. They had to keep the car for a "day or two" to figure out the problem. After 5 days I heard nothing back, so I called to find out the update. They answered said they would call me back by the end of the day with an update bit we heard nothing back for 2 more days. Finally on the sixth day of having my car, I called for the 3rd time.
They said they couldn't find the problem but test drove the car numerous times and flushed out the transmission. They said I could pick up the car.
They call back the same day and say they can't find my van key and are going to make me a new one and to bring my additional key so they could update the code.
On the seventh day of having my car I come to pick it up. They can't find the key and I gave to talk w a manager. I will never come back for service to this Honda.
Less deals and no negotiations. High pricing than its competitors.

I had a great experience buying a car from DCH Academy Honda . Earlier I went to another dealer who did not live up to the price they promised me on the internet . But Paul and Jeniffer promised me they would beat the price I got from another dealer and they were very true to their word . Paul has a great sense of humor and I quite enjoyed working out a great deal with him .When all the paper work was done he was very patient enough to go over each and every detail of the car with me . Overall a great salesman and a very good dealership to work with . After having sour experience at this places..I got a call from Joe who is the owner of this Honda facility and he really got my attention and rectify the situation. I m really glad that Joe took proper initiative to make things right. I really appreciate how the dealership work hard to make things right. I know people have posted low rating but please talk to Joe and see if the situation can get under control. This is a phenomenal place since owner is taking personal interest in customer and serve them better. Therefore, there is a silver lining with the situation and my opinion changed from hated it to loved it. I would certainly recommend people to make their next car shop. I just bought my first car at DCH Academy Honda a few days ago. If you're going to buy a car definitely ask for Oberto. He was patient and helpful and he helped me get a great deal on my car. He also called to check in a few days later to make sure everything was still going well. Saturdays are very busy there and we ended up waiting around for a long time to close the deal, but otherwise a good experience.

One of the Worst Customer Service i have ever seen. I filled out a credit application online and talk to Jasvinder about a BMW 7 Series. After waiting 4 hours and no call or email i called back to see how far the process was i toll him, i will bring the money down in cash or can gave it over the phone with my card. He toll me the finance department will tell him wants going on and he will call me back. i toll him i will stop in after work to pickup the car. I seen 5 HARD Inquiries** on my Credit. After work i went to the Dealership and was toll the car was already sold to someone else. I was socked, how can that be because they open at 9am and i was the first one to apply for this car at 9:10am. The manager was very Disrespectful told me the first come first serve does not apply here and I did not gave a deposit. I was not toll to gave a deposit and i toll him i bring 3G in cash. They ran my credit 5 times and toll me to wait and never got back to me. I had no problem Giving a deposit. They did not even want to tell me was i approved or denied. They Don't care about Customers at all, they just want to make a quick sale to people they like. Poor Service, Poor management, VERY POOR Communication Skills.

I went to both Paramus and old bridge. I put a down payment on Jan 12th for a new civic after being approved on a good deal. I called out of work, and stayed there until 10pm to find out the website that provides registration From the dmv or w.e. is down. Ok cool, so after going home my co signer backed out on me so I cancelled the deal. After multiple phone calls I tried to get my $1500 refund back but am still waiting till this day. Old bridge was no better, I found an 09 g37 and after a week of inquiring the car was in the shop for 6 days. After being told not to put a deposit on the car and to just come pick it up I start to head down there. After getting off work early I call about the car again to find out someone already purchased it and nothing could be done. So an entire week of calling, inquiring, and requested services down the drain all while still waiting on my $1500 back from paramus.....I had to dispute the charges on my cards to speed up the process. Although p aramus was a headache, I hated the rude staff the just pushed for sales. Old bridge was much friendlier.

They did an amazing job. The help they gave me before even showing up to the dealership was great. I had wasted no time when I was there, and received very honest information about the vehicle. They took the time to make sure I received the best rate possible and that I would leave driving the car that same day. They even took the time to help with all the minor settings in the vehicle. I have to update my review - The dealer has honored the price advertised on their website. It is honest dealership, you can do business with them. The only cons are some added fees for about $1,000 that normally are not exist, but I think they can be negotiated. Otherwise all good, best pricing in the area so far!

I went to DCH to find a used car and ended up with a new car.The car I was looking at just didn't work with what I could offer. I talked to Megan and she brought us into her office and she discussed different options we could look into. She said look at the NEW HRV so we did. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and in that business it's good to know somebody like Megan. She waited for a salesman for us. His name was Robert and he was the prefect salesman for us. We chatted with Robert about the HRV and he showed us all the great things about it. Robert was the best salesman we could have hoped for. We ended our experience with Paul and if it wasn't for our love of professional wrestling he probably could have had us out of there in under 25 minutes. I went today with my husband for oil change and as always they found many other things so the bill came $1000. My husband got 2 coupons of 50$ but when paying the bill the clerk didn't want to accept cuz can't be combined. We came many times before and we never had that problem Using 2-3 coupons I don't know who is the manager there but obviously he/she didn't care when asked about it. The bill could be changed separated if she wanted too to use both coupons. We won't come back here and use another Honda store

Had a terrible experience, went there on Monday drove an hour because the sales person was recommended to us, BIG mistake... We wanted to lease a White Odyssey, we got there we told the sales person what we wanted said he will get us the white odyssey no problem, when we get to the part of talking numbers he came back saying that they are giving us such a great deal they wont be able to find the white odyssey but they have a silver one which is on the way to the dealership "as we spoke". We were inexperience and accepted the deal because we thought we were getting a great deal since the sales person was recommended....ERROR!!!!!! after spending the whole day waiting for the contract to be ready we were dump enough to sign the contract without having the car and without seen the car (I know inexperience!!!!), this shows how unprofessional this people is an how they try to take advance of people. After we signed everything and pay $4100 we were told the car was going to be ready next day Tuesday but the sales person didn't work Tuesday so we agreed to come pick up the car on Wednesday. We get a call Wednesday and that's when we are told the car has an issue with the console and they don't have the piece and the piece is on back order and the car wont be ready until probably Saturday or Monday. (by the way is a brand new 2019 Honda) at that point I was upset why they try to sell a car that had an issue. I believe before the car goes on sale they should be sure is ready at least is drivable. The whole situation was a scam. I spoke to the Sales manager Anthony he was very unprofessional, very rude, did not want to make the deal right, they could have just change the car, the partner dealership had the same car but they didn't want to go to the trouble of re-printing the paperwork or to even bother to try to get it. They just wanted to get rid of the broken car. we spend the rest of the week going back and forth for nothing. on Thursday I had enough so I told them I will cancel the contract, I drove an hour with my kids to cancel the contract and get my money back.
Now I am happy that the deal got cancel because I don't have to deal with these unprofessional greedy people again.
and for the record I went to AutoSport Honda on Friday, got a better freaking deal and got my amazing 2019 WHITE Honda Odyssey, and guess what they didn't have it ether but they fetch it for us and we got it Monday, because this dealer knows how to treat people and how to care for customer, they are professional, NOT like DCHAcademy.
After a few back n forth emails we met with Megan. You guys are soooooo lucky to have her working for you! Do whatever you can to keep her happy there! She s absolutely awesome!!

My wife purchased a pre-owned auto, and we had a good experience. We worked with Walter (Sales consultant), and the finance Manager was Vipin. Very nice and pleasant people, and I would certainly shop there again. There was a small discrepancy with the monthly payments, however Vipin quickly got his Sales Manager, Sal. And Sal was very understanding and fixed the issue. In the end, we got the car and at the monthly payment we wanted. My wife is very happy...thank you Walter, Vipin, and Sal.

Never really had any problems with them with their service center, though I've mostly just had regular maintenance done. They're relatively quick about everything, getting oil changes and tire rotations done within the hour if you make an appointment. Their waiting area is good - food and drinks, though the TVs are on a bit loud. They've even given me a ride back home if the repair would take a while.
They stopped doing the windshield divot filling, which is too bad. It was nice the one time that I did get it with them.
I'm not a big car-guy, so I'm not too familiar with the value of the various maintenance services, and they're probably a bit more on the expensive side. Still, as far as I can tell, they've never caused a problem when fixing something else, which I don't trust other garages not to do. They also send out coupons regularly that make their prices more reasonable (oil/filter change - $26, wiper replacement - $10, tire rotation - $10 I think), so it's actually worth getting on their mailing list if you go here regularly. Some coupons are on their site, but not always, and not always as good as the coupons that get sent in the mail.
They will call and ask if you want more services done, if they notice the air filter a bit dirty, etc, even when it's probably functional for another few months. There are also a few clear price gouges (such as $70 to replace the cabin air filter, when it's a $12 part on Amazon, and 5 minutes of labor that any idiot can do). Other stuff, like a new battery, sounds expensive but is probably about right (matched 3 quotes from other nearby businesses). Just do what you can maintenance-wise for your car, use coupons for the rest, and you'll be alright.
My family has gotten 7 cars from this dealership over the last couple years. I myself just leased my second car with them. If you want outstanding service and a pleasant car shopping experience, then Academy Honda is the place you need to go. Don't waste your time shopping from dealer to dealer, if Academy doesn't have exactly what you're looking for on their lot, they'll get it for you, just like that. It's what they've done for me twice now, and I couldn't be a happier customer. It's why my family and I keep going back to them. And make sure when you do go you see Paul Rittberg, he's the best guy on the team. He bent over backwards to make sure the deal was done properly and that I was satisfied with everything. All in all, I continue to recommend this dealership and Paul to everyone I know.

Dont go DCH Honda serive to change engine oil, tire rotation, etc. Thier service itself is fine but it takes forever. For simple oil change it takes approximately two hours, seriously. Even this happened during weekdays l. There are so many low incomes owning used Honda cars and they get services all the time. You need be there forever until taking your car back. Your service advisor never come to you to explain what's going on. You just need to wait a couple hours simply until they are done their services. So packed up always, and they dont have any windows you can see thorough the service areas so you never know whats going on outside with your car.
KATE DAVIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SERVICE ADVISOR THAT DCH ACADEMY HONDA HAS TO OFFER! She is extremely knowledgeable in her field. Additionally, she is classy, professional and stays on top of all her work. I understand that this is a high volume dealership, yet she manages to always take her time to explain every detail of the service to make sure every single customer that leaves was well informed and feeling confident with their vehicle. She is honest, accurate and the she gets me out as quickly as possible. I will 100% return to this dealership just to work with Miss Davis.

They're great when it comes to car maintenance. The guy who worked on my wife's car gave me his personal cell number so that I could call if I had any questions. He was very helpful and had the car up and running in a few hours. Like all other dealerships, they're a tad expensive, but at least you know they're doing everything properly.

I went to two Honda dealerships before being referred to Joe from Jackson, NJ at DCH Academy. He's very nice and always smiling. He made me feel good coming so far. He was referred by family that purchased from him. It was a pleasure because he stayed in the loop throughout my sell. I was nervous, but him and Veronica were great. I was treated very nice and when I arrived for my appointment I was greeted with smiles. That mean so much especially since I traveled all the way from Pennsylvania. I will definitely refer friends and family to this dealership. At one point I felt I was frustrating the young lady, but she still was professional and kept a smile. I had an experience at DCH Academy Honda that really could not have gone better. Normally it s the opposite when buying a car but Ryan Hoey was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was not pushy and very polite. Very professional. That s such a rarity in the automotive industry.
