This is the first time I bought car from DCH Honda. It is such an easy decision to make. The Lady from telemarketing, Megan, is polite and consistent like a sales supposed to be. She called me 3 times with consistent pricing and details. Salesman, Michael Roberts is knowledgeable and down to earth. He is straight forward and priced quoted by Megan was honored. Michael is also very patient going through all the detail with me. Thumbs up !! In addition, the general sales manager , Joe, a friendly gentleman who came to wrap up the sales. My lease was up and I didn't want to keep the car or get another lease. We visited this dealership hoping to look at a few vehicles and test drive to narrow down the search for what car I wanted next.
We weren't sure about any of the vehicles on the lot (I can be picky sometimes), but Ed had the perfect solution. There was a vehicle that had just come in and he thought it might be a perfect fit. It was! He supported and assured us the whole way through the car deciding and paperwork process. He even called afterwards to follow up and make sure to extend his services if we had any questions come up in the future.

I came to DCH academy to find a certified civic for my daughter and my salesman Mina suryil was extremely helpful and answered all my questions and was upfront with me. I used to be a customer for years with Open Road Honda of Edison. I recently had a HORRENDOUS experience with them so I decided to come and give DCH Academy Honda a try. From the moment my husband and I entered the building it was a pleasant experience. The girl at the welcome desk greeted us and was able to find us a salesman. Our salesman was Christian. He was extremely helpful and patient and was able to get us a deal that fit our budget! Even on his day off he contacted us to make sure we were able to secure our vehicle. Amazing customer service! Mina was also a great help and showed us all the features of our new vehicle and told us to contact him anytime we have questions. Best dealer for buying a Honda car in the tri-state area, it was really a ease doing business with them. Bought two cars on the same day the price was better than any other dealership. I do not agree with the earlier review about the sales rep Ashraf, I worked with him for my deal and can say with a guarntee that he made the deal as easy as possible. If you are going there please ask for Mr Ash Saadeh.
Buyers Beware - DCH Honda is evidently big on SALES, but very bad at Customer Service. After buying two cars, I had an issue with one. I went to the dealership 3 times, spoke with Service personnel multiple times, the Director of Service 3 times, and even the General Manager. No one answered me, and I haven't even gotten the courtesy of a call back - for more than 5 months. My suggestion - take your business somewhere else.
We recently bought our Honda Accord 2013 EX-L w/Navi from DCH and the buying experience and process was really great. My wife and I had done significant research on the car that we wanted and the out-the-door price we wanted to pay, so given that the conversation with H.P. (Mr. Harshad Panchal), who was our sales rep, was very straightforward and smooth.
He didn't try to push us in anyway, with the price, additional options and protection packages. We had recently (June 2012) bought a Honda Accord 2012 EX-L V6 also from Open Road Honda in Edison and compared to that experience, this was significantly better from a quality of service, lack of pushiness, and price perspective.
Further, I prefer it, when the dealership and sales person are straight forward with their prices and try to get me out of there as soon as possible with the sale and actual finance/check out process - and this dealership did exactly that, which I was grateful for.
I would definitely go back to them again for future purchases.

Recently I had an issue with the radio/ Navigation computer in my Ridgeline. The computer kept locking up while I was driving, would drop calls and was causing all kinds of problems. My service advisor Katelyn could not have been anymore helpful. As you know these situations can be difficult for warranty because of course it never happened when I brought it to the dealer. We well Katelyn stayed on it, followed up with me and in a very short period of time was to get the unit replaced. She could not have been more helpful, and even checked in with me after to make sure it was working ok. When you are in business, it is all about the people and great customer service, because of this experience I will certainly continue to have my truck serviced there, and when it is time to buy my next honda, no question that is where I am going. I found the dealer old and needing of a face lift. I went with my wife on a Saturday to test drive and compare the CRV with other suvs we were looking at,as we were unsure of the vehicle we wanted to purchase. The CRV is a nice vehicle. The salesman that came to help us was nice when we first arrived. He took us out for a test drive and as I asked questions that compared the CRV to other cars we were considering he talked the Honda up,as he should .His answers though were inaccurate and the more questions I asked ,the shorter and snipier his answers got. When we arrived back at the dealer my wife went to the ladiesroom . My salesman had the audacity to ask me why" I'm asking all these questions" and why" I'm breaking his balls". He also asked if I was going to buy a car or am I wasting his time. He had a lot of sales to do today. When my wife came out we promptly left . I bought a car later the same day from a different dealer. I would never recommend this dealer !!!

I walked in late on the last day of the month within two hours of closing to negotiate two stock numbers that I narrowed my search to. I was approached by Manny and mentioned that I wanted to test drive two vehicles. He found the stock location and we proceeded to test drive both vehicles. The first vehicle that we tested smelled like cigarette smoke in the cloth and bothered my family. We tested the second vehicle and determined it was the right investment for us. We negotiated the selling price below the asking Internet price. An equivalent vehicle with the low mileage was selling for thousands more. Manny helped us finalize our clerical issues with our insurance policy and made the car buying process as seamless as possible. Ask for Manny, he will take care of his customers and provide honest and straight-forward negotiation.

It was the best car purchase experience for me. My sales person Heather Reinbeck was very helpful right from the beginning and not at all pushy. He is a reliable and honest guy who is fair with his recommendations. I found him to be frank and candid enough to distinguish between repairs that are a must have versus those that are optional. I purchased a 2014 Mercedes GL 550 from here. I saw an advertisement of it from this dealership and it fits what I'm looking for, dark paint, dark interior, and 7 seats... and it was an ok price for the amount of mileage on it. I work long hours and live about 90 mins from this dealership... So I didn't have a lot of time to go back and forth for a car purchase. I showed up to the dealership about 7:30pm on 6/25/19 to inquire about the vehicle. It was available. I drove it around the parking lot and was ok with just buying this and move on with my life. A guy named Sanjay helped me out... nice as could be. We did the paperwork for my purchase and trade in. The dealership even stayed open a lil later past their closing time to finish up my paperwork. I'm satisfied with the purchase..... but here's where they earned their ONE star... the next day, I discovered some minor flaws... I was ok with them, because it is a preowned vehicle after all. Sanjay sent me an email, thanking me for the purchase... So I responded with the list of problems with the vehicle: there was a small crack in the tail light housing unit, the bulb was also burned out, the back passenger side door doesn't operate, 3rd row seats are missing their headrest units, driver's seat soon became nonadjustable in certain ways, and after about a few days of driving, the brake pads needed to be changed... I didn't hear from Sanjay after a few days... So I called and left a voice mail. About a week later, after no response, I called the dealership and briefly chat with a girl who answered the phone... she said she'll let the sales manager know and that he will either call me later that day or the first thing tomorrow morning.... of course that didn't happen. It was a busy time for me... so I didn't press it. I also purchased an extended warranty... So I guess I'll just use that since the month of waiting is over and it's now in effect. .... Overall... the buying experience is good... but I don't appreciate the dealership not responsive to my needs regarding the $40k+ purchase I just made from them.... I see that there are plenty of good ratings... maybe those clients got new cars and didn't have problems. If you're buying pre-owned... I suggest you work out all the problems before rolling off their lot... cuz it doesn't seem like they're interested in solving anything after you sign the paper. Hope this helps any prospective buyers....

Excellent! From the Price to the customer service to courtesy and respect. First of all, Lisa the internet sales is a wonderful and patient person, from the quote to the meeting. DCH ACADEMY didn't have any problems giving me a quote right away compared to other dealers, their first quote had already out shined other dealers and negotiation was actually very smooth. Moving on to paper work i was introduced to Enrique, who was very courteous. Patrick took over the paper work, as it was already after 9 PM, he was very patient and thorough. (sorry can't remember last names). Now it was just past 10 PM but the finance guy patiently went over everything with me unlike my previous car finances (sign here, there, there and here we gotta go!). Regardless of the time, Patrick was in no rush while he went over all the features in the 2018 model. A lot of reviews i read about dealers is that they don't care about you after they take your money, guess what, i left my garage control at the dealer so i called them the next day to make sure it was there, i got the front desk and they transferred me to Patrick who went looking for it and held it for me. Now, i don't know how long its supposed to take for plates to be ready but mine were ready in six (6) days counting Saturday and Sunday, (why i mentioned? All other previous dealers took almost a month.) Why would you go elsewhere? DCH ACADEMY will beat any dealer!
In years past, I have purchased 3 vehicles from DCH and have had friends buy 3 vehicles from them as well. As long as we dealt with Paul Rittberg, we had excellent experiences, however, he was moved to the leasing end of the dealership from online/internet sales and the last car I bought from them I feel I got totally ripped off. I ended up buying a 2015 Honda Civic when I could have had a 2016 for the same price. They lied and told me that because it had extras like a navigation system that the 2015 didn't have that it would cost a lot more. Turns out they just wanted to get the old inventory out of their lot. Salesman put the front license plate on crooked. The whole experience was unnerving. In the past this had not been the case. Fast forward to our first oil change. We moved quite a distance away, but decided to take the car back to where we bought it for the oil change on our way to doing other errands. We made an appt. for an oil change. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appt. It was busy that day as usual (from our experience bringing our other cars into the dealership in years past), but we waited in the lounge area, however, 2 hours later, they hadn't even taken our vehicle in for the 20 minute oil change that it should have been. When I went into the garage, they were extremely apologetic and said they would do it right then and it would take only 20 minutes. Needless to say, I was not happy. I recently purchased a new 2018 Honda HRV and no I did not return to DCH Academy Honda and don't plan on doing so in the future. The sales and service departments have gone downhill. One final note ... I had gotten an airbag notice and tried calling them to find out if the vehicle in which I already had this repaired was in fact the one it referred to, but now when you call their service department you get a voice prompt for individual service writers. If you don't know who they are, that doesn't help and when you do punch an extension or name in, you wind up getting their voicemail. You leave a message and never get a return call. There are so many other Honda dealerships out there. Go out and check them out!
