I really enjoyed the service department here. This was for a recall repair. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appt time. I was greeted by someone who found my service advisor, he knew it was for a recall, and he asked of I needed my 15000 mile services. I am about 2k away so I declined. No pressure, he was very clear on what needed to be done. It took the hour and a half they said it would, they also fixed my tire pressure light. Waiting area was comfortable, coffee water and magazines. I do wish they would offer complimentary car washes after services, but maybe I am just spoiled by my last dealership. Cashiers were nice and covered all the bases.

If you have a recall or need service done on your vehicle, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. I've never dealt with this level of unprofessionalism at any shop before. I called for a recall and needing one part replaced. The earliest they could schedule me was over 2 weeks later, which honestly if their busy that's fine. What was frustrating was they scheduled me to come in and were completely unprepared and would excessively lie to me about it.

I dropped off my car (my only car and main mode of transportation) and they told me it would be ready by the next morning and would call me. Which is still considerably long for a recall and 1 part after being scheduled in ahead of time but I didn't sweat it and planned my schedule to be without a car for a day. They never called me the next morning, so I called them. I was told "It's assigned a mechanic, let me ask about the status and call you back real quick" and hours later get no call. So I call again and get someone else who says "Your advisor is not in right now. I'll have him call you right back as soon as I see him" again, hours later and no call back! I called 3 times, the third time I got the same guy and he was like "He didn't call you back yet? Weird, I told him to call you" but still no luck. Later when I finally get a call back and am told "It's been assigned a mechanic, I'll call you tomorrow to update you on the status of your car." I asked if it will be ready by tomorrow morning and he replies that he'll call me tomorrow morning to let me know. Once again, no one calls me. (SEE UPDATE)

This is completely absurd! They scheduled me in over 2 weeks in advance for something that should take a day at the most (their words) but have had my car for 3 days and won't call me back when they say they will. I still don't have my car! They were nice in person and I was in and out real quick, but I am blown away how horrible their service has been since. Reading some of their reviews, I am not the only person this has happened to. It's hard to know the true rating of this place because they're mixed in with the sales reviews.

***UPDATE***
So I called them again and they tell me the car will be ready today. Unfortunately a few minutes later they called to tell me THEY LOST MY KEYS. At this point they offered me a loaner car which was nice and they got me a new key a day later. When I go to pay my bill it was more expensive than what they said when I first called them. I looked at the charges and they charged me $20 bucks for "misc supplies" I asked what that was and I was told for the cost of rags and gloves needed to do you the job. You're telling me a car mechanic shop doesn't have rags and gloves and has me buy that equipment to do their job?! Also, how on earth could that even add to $20. After that whole ordeal they have the nerve to so this. Absolutely criminal.

I had the best experience ever in buying a car from Covert Dodge. I'm from Houston and located a great deal on-line in Austin. Called in and got Dylan Scott and we got in the car and drove to Austin to pick it up. Great service. He walked me though everything on the car and stayed with us until the paperwork was done. Highly recommend Covert and especially Dylan Scott. Thank you!

Edgar was a pleasure to do business with, he is a wealth of information patient and attentive. I couldn t have asked for or found a better salesman! We drove about 4 vehicles before I configured and found the one that works for me. If you re in the market for a new Jeep or like I would give him your first visit you won t be disappointed.

I am not one to really review anything but after my experience at Nyle Maxwell Chrysler with such a horrible experience and Covert Chrysler getting me out of the situation , I think it is well deserved ! it all started with me purchasing a 2018 wrangler JL Rubicon from Nyle Maxwell and within a week and half starting having cylinder misfires , took it Nyle Maxwell and service advisor there was USELESS and wanted me to just get out of there face kinda feeling. FCA recommended Covert Chrysler and this is how it all started. I met Brian Rosplock (service advisor) who provided my wife and I EXCEPTIONIAL service , he was very sympathetic towards the entire process and very knowledgeable. After a few weeks I wanted a way out of that Wrangler being that it was so new. So I tried to see if Covert could get me out of it into another, that's when I met CHARLES BLACK. He was such a hard worker throughout the entire process. I swear no matter how many times I called him for various reasons or questions , he NEVER gave me the cold shoulder. He was extremely professional and was able to put me into another Rubicon . He searched miles upon miles to find me the right vehicle and more importantly to GET ME OUT OF THE LEMON WRANGLER. I am very thankful to have finally meet a company that TRULY IS A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS and makes you feel like they stand behind that term. I will definitely buy my next vehicle from Covert in the near future !! Thank you all and see you in the near future!

There are hundreds of car dealerships in Austin. I walked in to get a new car using my old vehicle as a trade in. The goal was to find a car that met a general budget, drove well, and left me satisfied for a long term commitment. I asked for a few selections and they provided me 1, which was a bit out of my budget. I then decided I wanted something cheaper and they held me hostage trying to force a car sale on to me by not providing me my keys to my car, and aggressively demanding I stay . I told them repeatedly that I needed to leave for work, and they continued to press me into staying. Upon finally leaving, the salesman, Freddie, as god is my witness, chastised/yelled at me for wasting everyone s time and went on and on about how we re not friends and other nonsensical things...AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COSTS. Rule number 1 of business sales Freddie, it s 2020 four square aggressive practices are no longer standard operating procedures. Car dealerships will continued to be squeezed until this attitude is changed. Cheers to loosing a sale, and anyone else that I can warn lol....

In particular, I want to recommend Trey Bearden who was incredibly helpful and informative throughout the car buying process. Unlike many people from other dealerships I worked with, Trey wasn't pushy. Instead, he patiently addressed all of my questions and sought out whatever information I needed to make a decision. And, once you decide to buy from them, their process for working through all of the paper work is seamless and efficient. If you are looking for a Jeep, I highly recommend this dealer.

Excellent customer service from Dylan! He is the reason we are returning customers and are now a 2-Jeep family! First Jeep purchase was a year and a half ago. We were so fortunate to get Dylan. We just purchased a 2017 Ram 1500 for a great price, and had a really great experience. Wes helped us out and he was great. The truck was missing a headrest for the back seat and he ordered it for us without hesitation. We had to bring the truck by for some service and having a crack in the windshield repaired. They gave us a loaner 2020 Ram 1500 which was so much fun it was the Rebel trim. When we came back to pick our truck up Wes had our truck detailed and looking amazing. We have now purchased 2 vehicles from the Covert family and I have to say it was a great experience both times.

We had an issue with our Jeep Patriot that we purchased at that same location sales lot, so we decided to take it in for an inspection. Our patriot sounded super loud, almost as if we had purchased an aftermarket exhaust. We took it in. First call to us, the service person was ready to get our info and said that he was gonna get the service done on that same day until we said our vehicle had extended warranty... well, it went downhill from there! the first thing the service guy had the guts to tell us was "are you trying to trying to get a new engine out of this?!" Let me tell you this, we purchase extended warranty for a reason, and I'm paying you to tell me what's wrong with my vehicle and yes, if the issue will lead to us getting a new engine so be it! We would call them and none would return our calls, after 1 day and 1/2 they finally called us back saying they coundnt see anything wrong with the car and again, telling us that we just wanted to get a new engine! That guy was so rude and unprofessional!

After running a diagnostic and charging us for it they still couldn't figure out what the issue was, but they asked us what we thought the problem was with our car... ". Well, if I knew, I wouldn't have paid you $180 to find out, would have I?

Let me tell you this, the service was so bad that made not ever want to purchase another vehicle from them ever again just so I won't have to deal with their service people!!! FYI, this was our 4th vehicle purchased from them... never again!

I was almost completely satisfied until I go to leave and notice one of my tires has low pressure. I bring it back around to get them to check it. Didn't wait too long when my car is brought back. The guy said they filled it with air. I asked if it was flat. He said he doesn't know, they don't know why it was low. So they didn't even check to see if it was flat. They just refilled it and let me go. Next day of course it's completely flat.
I won't be taking my business back to a place that let's me drive off with a flat tire. And I recommend you don't either.

I bought a Ram 2500 back in December 2018. Let me first of all state that the buying experience was very good. It was not a high pressure situation. They were up front with pricing and gave a very good deal on the truck, as well as offering more for my trade than other dealers had. It was quick and easy.
Now for my complaints and the reason for a lower rating from me. The seat had a hole in it, which I did not notice until I was home with the truck. The holidays were coming up, so it took a little while to get an answer on a solution - which was not a big deal. I understood. They had me bring the truck back and gave me a loaner for a week while they worked on the seat. All they did, though, was patch the hole. If I buy a NEW truck, I want all of it to be NEW. It was a small hole, but I can definitely tell it was patched.
Here's my second complaint - they keep the truck for a week, and apparently don't even keep it locked. When I picked it up, it was on their lot, unlocked. There were several items missing from the truck. I emailed them about it, and they don't even bother to respond.
Bottom line - would I buy from them again? Probably. Would I get service after the sale from them? No, I don't think so.

I pulled up and the Jeep was right up front for me. Josh didn't try to upsell me on something I didn't want and I was able to drive off in my new vehicle in about an hour. Easiest car buying experience I've had.

I've been to a lot of dealerships, for all makes; I've met a lot of car salesmen/-women. A lot. Few were as knowledgeable as Dylan; none were as easy to work with. Attentive, helpful, and honest. This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. We felt taken care of from the moment we got there. Edgar was waiting for us, and had the vehicle that we wanted ready for a test drive. He was personable and very knowledgeable about the vehicle. After the test drive he asked us what we thought and sat down and really listened and got to know us. The Financing department worked hard and got us a good rate. Being that we are a family of 6, the bottom line is always money, and they made sure that everything worked for us. Once that was all done, Edgar was playing football with our boys while my wife and I transferred everything to the new car! He was fantastic! From beginning to end we were in and out in less than 4 hours, and that includes the test drive and transferring over our stuff to the new car!! We love our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica and will definitely be back in December when we look for our second car! Go see Edgar... you wont be disappointed!

They tried to force a car on my brother that had been sitting on the lot for months and didn't even start when they went for a test drive. The ac never cooled either, and in texas, ac is essential. They said that was the only car he could look at, he walked away.

I bought a used Ram 1500 from David Hassenmiller at Covert Dodge in Austin. It was a great deal on a super clean truck. I had the check engine light come on the day after I got it from the dealership. David had me bring it back and gave me a loaner while the service guys fixed it. I got it back and within a few days had another issue where it wouldn t start. Being the truck is used and sold as is, they could have easily told me sorry, not our problem. David assured me that is not the way they do business and had the truck towed and the truck fixed, giving me yet another loaner until it was fixed. Turns out it was a fuel pump that went out and popped the fuse. Not something that gives many symptoms before it goes bad. They fixed the truck and it s been a month without any problems. Top notch customer service from David, his manager, and the service guys. Will definitely buy from them again!

There's not enough room to tell you what great customer service my husband, Hank Jefferson, received from Larry Wilson. Hank was in the middle of a living nightmare with another Jeep dealership here in the Austin area. This dealership had our money, was not producing the vehicle Hank wanted, which was promised to be delivered in four days. All this finally got resolved after a few phone calls to certain agencies. Hank still wanted a Jeep Renegade but was a little leery after this horrible experience. Larry was like a breath of fresh air. He got my husband the exact Jeep he wanted with a few little extras. Larry is so professional and courteous to his customers. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited is my all time favorite vehicle. I had one back in the eighties. Our family has owned five Jeeps. From now on Larry will be the only person who will be selling Jeeps to our family. Thank you Larry for being the kind of salesperson who makes buying vehicles a pleasant experience.

Yesterday morning after taking my dog to the vet my Jeep Renegade wouldn't start. It was giving me all kinds of message Theft detected, check power steering, check air bags etc. My husband was able to jump it. The battery tested fine but the starter failed at AutoZone. My husband didn't like the messages the car was giving us so we took it to Covert Jeep on Research just to be safe. My husband called ahead and Richard in the Service Dept. was waiting for us. 2-3 hours later Richard called to let me know it was battery and the warranty covered the replacement. After a very stressful morning Richard made my day! We are all skeptical of mechanics and Dealership Service Departments bc they have a reputation of ripping off us, but my experience yesterday proved otherwise. I'm so happy we with our gut feeling to take it to the Dealership as they are the true experts!

This Dodge dealership made a very long process not so painful. We had bought a brand new truck from Dodge South, and it was a lemon. Dodge South thought we were crazy, and did not do their jobs. We took it to Covert, and they spent a few months working with Chrysler to try to pinpoint and fix the very apparent issue. When Chrysler deemed it a lemon, Covert was very helpful in helping us pick a new truck, and get it swapped out easily.

Service: communication skills are lacking. Had to beg for a loaner even after explaining I am a health care worker and the need for a car. Today, they had me waiting an hour after they promised a Lyft from my home to the dealer to pick up a loaner (who we had to beg for!) No one called me to let me know they where sending the Lyft later, because they where waiting for one to come back from rotation.

I could go on and on.

It was a pretty frustrating experience to start but Brian Rosplock Rosplock was consistently patient, professional, and incredibly communicative as he worked with me to find every possible solution possible. I just bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo E from John Read @ Covert Jeep and this was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had, and I've had several over the years. John was friendly, knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. He was patient and answered all of my questions honestly with no agenda other than making sure I had a positive customer service experience.

I had already test driven the Laredo E and knew that was the ride I wanted. Covert gave me an excellent price on the car and we struck a deal. Unfortunately, the exact car I wanted wasn't in stock, but John found one at another dealer out of town and somehow had it brought to Austin and it was ready for me the next day. We took a lengthy test drive when it came in just to make sure it was the exact car I wanted. It was.

I had considered selling my other car privately, but Covert offered me a very fair price so I traded it in. There was no negotiation needed on the new car or the trade in. Now how nice is that?

Irene Porras in finance was just as easy to deal with. Even though I arranged financing thru my credit union, Irene was pleasant and easy to deal with and like John, she only cared that my experience with Covert was a pleasant one.

I gave John the ratings I did because from the very moment I was first in contact with him he was courteous, not pushy, always willing to work with me and give honest, candid information. He helped me order a vehicle from the factory and made sure that the options and features were as close to what I wanted as he could get. John said he wanted to earn my business, but factory delays allowed me to stay in the market for too long and I ended up discovering another vehicle. Nonetheless, John certainly earned my loyalty and I'll be referring to Mr. Read anyone I know who's interested in a dodge vehicle so that he can earn their business as well; they'll certainly be as glad as I was to find someone as helpful as him. John Read knows how to do business right.

Dealership says they can t do anything about it, can t give me a loaner even though I have an extended warranty. Pretty much screwed for a car I make early payments on every month. I stopped by in today's monsoon desperate for someone to pull the plugs in the front of my Wrangler as I had my soft top off everywhere but the roof which might as well have been for not. I was literally dunking my feet to my ankles--I knew I had plugs but couldn't find them under the car. Brian Rosploek helped me by pulling them from the inside--I was so thankful. Brian was very professional, friendly, and a reason to come back to this dealership. He knows Jeeps, and even dogs--as we chatted away about our furry riders. Great service, and while simple, it was nice to get a no-charge. I'll be back next month for an oil change and whatever else needs doing.

I arrived ready to buy my dream jeep. A 4-door Red Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I walked in and was greeted by Dwight and we got right to business. He tossed me the keys to a Black 2D Wrangler Sport so I could get a feel for a 2 Door. I LOVED it though it was not the color I wanted. Dwight ran numbers to order the one I wanted and it was above my set budget so we worked with the black one. It was a big choice for me to make so I took my time and Dwight was patient with me. During my thought process Dwight threw out the statement of "it doesn't effect me if you buy this jeep or not. I don't need the sale so do whatever you want" and that was aggravating because I didn't come here to give him a sale, I came to buy my vehicle and not having any assistance or guidance was making it difficult. His attempt to "sell" the jeep to me was reading the paper out of the window to tell me what it was equipped with. He didn't follow me to the Jeep before the test ride to tell me ANYTHING about the jeep. He did not meet me when I returned except for once and he did not approach me, he sat in the golf cart waiting for me. - I arrived around 1 pm I believed and by 4:30 he said he was leaving in 30 mins for personal reasons. I then made up my mind that I wanted to jeep and he introduced me over to Bernardo and he is what saved this review. He was GREAT! He had a great personality, he did his job well, and helped me through each step. I then worked with the finance person, Peter, who was just as pleasant to work with. After all the paperwork, I left to move my belongings over from my car to my new Jeep and Bernardo followed me out. Asked me if I felt good about my Jeep knowledge and I said no, none of the features were shown to me. He quickly picked up the slack and went over EVERYTHING. Even how to take the tops off. He even gave my jeep a better smell than a new car smell (He will understand that reference). Dwight, understand people don't come in to help you make a sale, they come in to buy what they want or need. Give the customer time to talk about themselves and what they are looking for.. Bernardo, keep it up, you did great! Peter, Thank you for matching my excitement with this great purchase!

I just bought a brand new Dodge Durango yesterday from Charles Black at Covert Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. It was hands down the BEST car buying experience I ve ever had! Charles was extremely attentive to my needs and wants as far as the vehicle goes. He is a true no-pressure salesman and made the selection process extremely enjoyable. Josh (forgot last name) was the sales manager. This is where I expected the usual run around that most people experience in car dealerships. Much to my surprise, he was amenable to ALL of my requests and worked really hard to get me the best deal. At the end of the day, if you re looking for a car dealership that won t try to pressure you, will help you find the exact car and terms you re looking for, and respond to your every request for information immediately, THIS IS THE PLACE! I ll have to admit, I did quite a bit of research online about the price of the car that I wanted and what I thought I should get on my trade-in, and even obtained loan approval PRIOR to walking into the dealership. However, even in the end, Josh and Charles were able to do even better than the best deals I could find online. I bought the car for my wife, but my experience was so awesome, that I m considering trading in my car!

If you are interested in setting Guinness World Records, come to Covert for service. I went to the "Quick Lane" for express service. It took nearly 3 hours to get an oil change. No communication from anyone regarding status of the service, how long it will be, or why it was taking so long. It took over 30 minutes for the paperwork to be completed after the car was finished.

Great Experience! We came in looking for a very specific vehicle that Covert just happened to have on the show room floor (the only one like it within 1,000 miles). Our salesman Brady Beal was fantastic, I called him before we left the house about the vehicle and he lined everything up for us so that we didn t have to wait at the dealership. Brady was great, staff was friendly and courteous.

Just an additional F.Y.I. about how great they are. We were at another dealer about 90 minutes south of Covert Dodge that wanted to charge us $1,000 if we wanted a vehicle not on their lot that they would have to get from another dealer. Covert DOES NOT charge this if it is a local trade.

I highly recommend Covert and Brady Beal.

This past week, I inquired about a vehicle online after test driving at least 20 other cars around town and nothing felt like "the one". I got the honor of having Donny Greer as my salesman. He called me within 24 hrs of my interest request. He let me know the cars estimated arrival date. Kept me in the loop about detailing and hitting the floor for test driving option. We decided to make the 2 hr trip to see the vehicle on Saturday. Donnie made the process of buying it seamless and he was a delight to be around. He was really well informed and supportive through the whole thing.

Your service department says $35 total install an air filter, yet they turn around and flip it to $45, for a filter I could have bought myself for $22 from my uncles dealership in Miami and shipped and installed myself. $28, plus $10 labor, plus shop fees, plus taxes, for something I could have waited on. Now that I'm moving to Austin, this dealership is defiantly not the place I'm coming to anymore after my regular dealer recommended Covert from San Antonio. I'm not coming here because I believe in paying the price I'm told, $35. I didn't agree to the price increase. May be only $10, but imagine what they would do if it was something else at a much higher price. I don't believe in these bogus games. You're own signs say no smoking within 15 feet of public doors, yet your employees are constantly smoking by the rear door. If Covert can't follow its own signs, makes me wonder if I really got synthetic oil in my vehicle.

Since I can't reply to this answer given by the dealership, the service advisor asked another service adviser, $35 including install. When I went to the cashier, she asked my advisor and he went to ask the fellow service advisor, and he said he doesn't know why, should've been $35 total. My advisor said well that's what you gotta pay. $10 isn't much, it's the fact I expect to pay what was told. I should've gotten a written price. Learned my lesson, this isn't the Dodge Dealer to come to in Austin.

My sales rep was very friendly and helpful and they worked the deal I wanted with very little haggling. The paperwork was done quickly and efficiently. I noticed a couple of imperfections in the paint a week later and they gave me a loaner no questions asked while they corrected them. This was the best car buying experience I've ever had.

I didn't get that typical "salesman" feel from him at all and I am in sales myself so I know what I'm looking for. I highly recommend coming into Covert and seeing Edgar Cruz. I felt no pressure while dealing with Edgar he truly wants to give you what you want and will not push you into something you don't want or need. I loved this guy! Great people! The closest dealership to me is Nyle's dealership but I cannot even consider choosing between Covert and Nyle. Covert is honest and prompt, Nyle is a bunch of lairs. Anyway, if you want to deal with straight forward people, that would never tell you a lie go to Covert, if on the other hand you enjoy being lied to ...go to Nyle you won't be disappointed.

Service department takes very good care of my 2013...

Service department takes very good care of my 2013 Jeep JK since its very first oil change. Routine maintenance is easy: take it in, wait 30-40 minutes, drink coffee, pay and drive away. Multiple maintenance in one visit (like changing transfer case oil, manual transmission oil and diff oil in one visit) is a drop off early and pick up by 4 kinda thing. The Jeep JK is a wonderful ride. A great escape machine. Thank you Covert.
