I stayed here recently for the night. It was cheap and I only needed somewhere to sleep as I was picking up my brother from the airport and didn't want to drive from Leeds (and back) in the same day. The room was clean but noisy by the road. I am a very light sleeper so I think most people would be fine with it.
In the morning we went down to grab breakfast before leaving, only to find there was nothing left AT ALL! I would have waited for it to be replenished but the queue was a mile long and I didn't have time.
It's ok for somewhere cheap to stay but don't pay for breakfast, unless you plan to be down at 5am!
We stayed 2 nights without A/C, This place isn't Business friendly for sure beware they charge for everything, Misleading Web page!!! They have asterisk on everything****, The elevator isn't safe will close on you, beware for your kids!!!!!!!!!!
After a very long and tiring flight was pleasantly surprised by a complentary upgrade to my room which was lovely and clean with a big bed! Check in was super fast and easy and staff were brilliant. The only downsides I had were due to the fact a big party was staying in the hotel, there was not enough staff on shift to help with the demand. I was not able to order room service from my room due to the how busy everyone was so I had to queue up at the bar to then order to my room, was advised of a 45 minute wait which I was absolutely happy with but food arrived to my surprise 10 minutes later and was stone cold. I then requested a toothbrush which unfortunately never came but the gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to remember me on checkout and offered to give me a toothbrush then. Overall lovely hotel, amazing staff but unfair to expect staff to be so short with heavy demands but hey that's hospitality for you! Would stay here again, very convineant to the airport with handy shuttle service.
If you want to park for some days and fly, I wouldn t recommend it. It is extremely difficult to find a parking spot although we paid for parking for two weeks. Reception suggested we park on double yellow line! It was overbooked but they didn t accept that. Not the friendliest staff. Promised that we would get a spot later, we will see
Hotel was good & under cover parking great. But the Hotel Hoppa let you down today. We were left waiting for over an hour at Heathrow for the bus to take us back to collect our car. Not what you want after a 13hr flight & very cold.
The room was great for a descent price and not to mention the food was wonderful although a slight disappointment was that it turned out abit cold. The rest was all good.
Friendly staff most of the time . Is a tricky hotel as some of the rooms are huge and some of them are very small . Clean and I would say pretty quite considering the area.
Cancelled our booking some 3 weeks before the actual night, now that I am back home in Oz they are trying to debit my C/C card! Even after appropriate cancelation. Absolutely appalling establishment! B ring back the Comfort Inn!!!!!
A decent airport hotel at London Heathrow. Good bar and restaurant, reasonable prices for overnight stays. Very helpful staff. Stayed there for a night during covid pandemic, well regulated according to high sanitation standards...
Clean and tidy, but kitchen closed down way too early..11PM, considering people would be flying in from all over the world. Also, fridge did not work, but concierge took stuff into their fridge. local phone calls had to be booked at the front desk before calling from the room, no one told us. The desk clerk told us to go to our room on the main floor... After searching found out it's on the second floor.
it was a nice experience .. the girl Marika at the recepiot was very kind .. she explained very well how to get to the center of london by public transport without having to use the car. clean and normal rooms.
Went for a date night with my boyfriend on Wednesday last week. Love the interior design which makes the hotel look more posh. Dinner was served with a bottle of wine which both were amazing! Great service and management!
It looks like a lean, efficient, chain hotel. Does what it sets out to do, friendly staff. Loud water running sounds from the bathroom, cold water pressure so low that the shower doesn't work and hot water so hot it's impossible to use. Tried to call through to front desk, no answer. I really wouldn't expect this in the UK.
We were very impressed with the atmosphere of the hotel, it was very clean with cheerful staff that couldn't do enough for us, to the point that the reception staff helped us book in online for our impending flight. Thank you Katie. Will definitely come back and recommend the hotel.
We arrived early morning around 9 AM and wanted to see if we could check-in. The rooms were not ready which is fair enough but Monica from the reception couldn t find our reservation. After typing and clicking around she managed to find something and said: oh your reservation needs to be created first. Which is weird because number 1, we were not a walk-In guest and number 2 the reservation was made weeks before our arrival. Not sure why the reservation team didn t created prior. Then she took our luggage and promised us that she will take care of it and we can return around noon. After a long day, I returned back to the hotel at 9 PM and the gentleman couldn t find our reservation AGAIN. He also then told me, that he needs to create the reservation first. So clearly Monica didn t do anything. The check-in process took longer than 15 mins... which is very long and wasted my precious time. As if it s not annoying enough, they gave me a room where the air condition didn t work. It had 28 degree that day - so you can imagine. They promised me to change the room and couple of drinks tomorrow as compensation. Well we are only staying for 2 nights and it s really wasting my time to unpack and repack to move the room again. Clearly this is my worst experience with any Mercure Hotel and I will never ever book this hotel again nor any other Mercure hotel on this planet. 4 stars? Where? - Room 282, 01. June 2019.
Staff excellent and very friendly but room 265 was very noisy with sound of boiler firing up regularly which kept me awake. Airport bus stop immediately outside entrance with covered parking for park and stay option. I would use again for a single night stop over but in a different room location.
I was staying because my BA flight was delayed and so I missed my connection. I got to the hotel late, around 21:50 and was told that of I wanted the free meal promised but BA then I would have to eat straight away. I couldn't even put my thin nd in my room as the restaurant was closing. Now I know that I was one of the first of big group off people many of whom were sell at the airport and the hotel restaurant made it obvious that they weren't going to make accommodation for those who came later. The room was small and basically furnished. The mattress had a hard rim around the edge that was uncomfortable, but it was soft in the middle and so as long as you slept away from the edge you were ok. The biggest problem I had was a loud noise that seemed to be coming from the air con system outside the building. It was loud enough to keep someone from falling asleep. The good was good quality and a good sized portions.
Room very good for an overnight stay before flying at the airport, but the parking was not very well organised. With parking included in the price of our hotel booking, it was surprising to find that the hotel had no spaces left. In terms of proximity to the airport, the hotel was only about 10 minutes drive - even during peak times.
We had an adjoined room (family room) which was a good job because one of the room had no warm water. Breakfast was a packed lunch style, croissant, apple, juice and tuna sandwich, TUNA SANDIWCH!
We had our office Christmas Party and it was amazingly organised by Ralph D'Souza and his team with Swapnil booking it for us. Everything was perfect right from the start till the end.
I would really recommend this place for parties, lovely team.
The night went very well. The staff is very pleasant at the reception, we even speak French. The room is a bit basic for a 4 star, but it is quite sufficient.
Nice sized room. The usual which comes with a hotel room. Double bed, en suite bathroom, kettle etc. Reception staff were very welcoming. There was a bar and restaurant for meals which was convenient. Also very friendly staff.
Easy access to Heathrow, helpful pleasant staff. Room reasonable size, comfortable. Had a meal in the restaurant which was good, fish and chips and a burger.
A single room with a bathroom barely 6 square meters ... the bed has already taken 2 square meters. A service worker knocked on the door at 6:15 to take a breakfast order (for that day!) Then he continued on several other doors !! My alarm clock should wake me until 7.40 ....
Mr Raman an official worker at the hotel absolutely illiterate, no manners and after an 8 hour journey he thought he could be rude to me!! And the manager of the hotel did not find time to deal with this problem no matter how many times I called. Absolutely atrocious behaviour never ever again!!!!!!!
Visited for a two day conference, did not stay in rooms. Everything I would define as being adequate, but nothing particularly exceptional, different or amazing. The food was ok, the facilities ok, the coffee ok. It is not in the most scenic of places, being next to a motorway, and serves more as a place for travelling business men or people in transit to Heathrow. Hard to recommend based on any merits, however I can't find any faults either, and this a safe choice if needing a place to stay overnight
Tired hotel in need of some tlc. The ac unit in my room made a ridiculous amount of noise even when it was off. Pillows were like rocks and half the tv channels didn't work. If you want cheap it's fine but don't expect much else
Shower was blocked and filth was filling up around our feet. This was then leaking and flooded the bathroom floor. Advised reception, response was 'we will give you a better shower next time. Very poor.
The breakfast was great for English standards. The rooms unfortunately not the cleanest, but sufficient for one night. In the morning at 5 jumped the (very cold set and yet relatively loud) air conditioning. It should have been noted at check-in that they have a timer and how it can be issued.
You can't fault the comfort and quality of the building but by God we had a terrible experience. When we got back home from our holiday I had a parking fine despite the fact that my registration details were taken at the point of booking in. I spoke to the manager and he assured me it would be dealt with. 4 weeks later and I was threatened with a CCJ from the parking Eye company. Needless to say I made my thoughts known and it was immediately removed but what a pain. 3 stars because the hotel is lovely.
Stayed at this hotel last month as it's close to the airport.. Friendly staff in reception in particular Marika who was very helpful and polite during our stay so thank you. Although this hotel is standard it's reasonable and service was good.
We booked this hotel for a short trip to London as it is very close to the airport. However, it would have been easier to take a hotel in the city center or something. The accessibility of the hotel without a car is terrible. Run forever. Getting away from there is even more difficult because you can't buy tickets on the public transport bus and you won't be taken along. So run again for at least 20 minutes. There is a shuttle service that only goes to the airport and costs 5 pounds for this trip alone. Given this availability, it is not very customer-friendly.
At the reception we first had to prove that the invoice (booked through a travel agent) had been paid. I don't see that as our job and it has a bland aftertaste. There was no information on when, how or where to have breakfast. We could then read these in the information in the room. The walls are very noisy. Our room was right on the stairs, we heard every guest come and go. There was no view. Walls and a roof could be seen.
The room was not 4 stars - worthy. Carpet was dirty, as was the bathroom (especially the shower). Limescale stains, rust and dirt. The water kept changing temperature while showering.
Breakfast was okay, typically English, but I found the selection a bit small. But that's just a matter of taste.
On the whole it was not a disaster, but for the price and 4 stars it was disappointing. Without a car, I definitely recommend another hotel, important here, with a train connection (due to the strange ticket system of public transport in London - there you can buy a day ticket for 13 pounds, with which you can also use the buses).
Can t really complain. The room was a little small, but not bad really. Clean. Not terribly fond of the shower, although it was pretty typical for the area. We re just used to having either a full shower curtain or full glass. The half glass on the tub didn t do much to help contain any splashing water. The water temp did fluctuate, but I feel that s really typical for hotels. On the plus side, the staff were all friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included with our hotel rate and were really quite pleased with it. We also ate dinner there one night and my husband raves about the pork belly he had. Very kind and attentive service too. We d recommend this place.
No where close to Heathrow. Isolated from the Airport and train station! They need to stop calling it Mercure Heathrow. A very, very basic hotel and you can stay here if you are on a budget.
