Okay, so let s start with the good things. The staff at the reception was pretty friendly and the beds were good. That s it!

The bathrooms are really outdated, the carpets were stained really really bad. And the worst of all, MY WATCH GOT STOLEN BY THE HOUSEKEEPING. And there not even thinking about meeting me halfway with some kind of refund or compensation.

Take your money and go somewhere else. And if you do come here, leave all your expensive belongings at home.

The members staff in the reception was very unpleasant, I have stayed here at this hotel many times before. Untill my last visit when I wasn't treated with respect. He has served us a few times and he is always the same not kind, on my last More

Really enjoyed our stay here before our flight the next morning. The room was massive and our 2 grandchildren loved it. Pleasant staff and car was left here for our 18 day holiday. Couldn't fault it.

Close to the airport with no aircraft noise. The rooms are functional and very small. The restaurant and the service are good. The nearest subway station is around a 20-minute walk away. There are only a few restaurants nearby.

We liked:

We liked:

The easy check in and check out process.
The staff are friendly, professional and very helpful.
The service we had an issue with the room where previous guests had spilt liquid in front of the door and when we notified reception (so that we wouldn t be blamed for it), instantly they offered to change our room and even came up and took photos of it and offered extra assistance in whatever we needed.
The food - HUGE servings and the meals were value for money.
The close proximity to the airport. It was less than a 10 minute drive to get to the airport.

The Negatives

The bath was extremely high, which made it difficult to step into and out of.
There was little water pressure from the shower, making it difficult to wash your hair.
The hotel layout was not easy to negotiate. From leaving the lift, it was a long walk around very narrow corridors to get to our room.
From the time we arrived, to the time we left, there were the same dirty dishes and trays left outside hotel rooms, making it difficult to negotiate the narrow hallways and giving the appearance of uncleanliness.

NOTE
To be fair, when we arrive, it was explained to us that a number of staff were absent due to illness and this may have contributed to a lack of service in clearing dishes in the hallways.

SUMMARY

Overall it was a clean and tidy establishment, although a little dated. But for less than $100 a night and with the close proximity to the airport, it s worth it as an affordable overnight stay if you are needing a room for the night before catching a flight.

The free Wi-Fi works.
Smallish rooms with noise coming from the motorway(only if windows are open ).
Having said that. Great staff, great buffet breakfast, good bar and large lounge.
Can walk to a train station in 15 minutes from here. Pub and convenience stores within 3 minute walk.
The shuttle bus service is inadequate serving only T2,3 and 5 but you can't blame the hotel for that and taxis are available for reasonable price.

Original room smelled overwhelmingly of mould, but reception team very quickly moved me to another room. New room was ideal, spacious, big bed, bath. Smelled fresh and clean. Has a plug socket near the bed! Restaurant a little over priced, but to be expected.

The staffs specially Mr. Rosslen(/r) were too rude and even they threatened to cancel my reservation (pre-paid and booked 3 months before). The room (270) was too noisy but changed on the next day to a smaller quieter.

Stayed their due to a 2 day visit to legoland. About a 20 minute drive away, and had more than adequate parking. The hotel was great. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very spaceous and very cosy. Looked and felt a very upmarket hotel without the cost. We will stay here now everytime we go to legoland.

Old and gloomy room/facilities let me feel it was a fake MERCURE, but friendly staff and nice food impressed me. Good for a short stay when you are extremely tired after long flight if you got no choice.

I was travelling during the outbreak and all hotels were suddenly closed, and I needed to get through the night waiting for my flight. The portier at the hotel was very nice and let me stay at the lobby and even provided me with bottled water so that I would have something to drink. He was even kind enough to wake me up when it was time for the bus and directed me to the right one. The hotel also looked beautifully and people working in it most certainly make the stay a pleasure for everyone.

Almost no storage.
Mini shower.
One coffee maker for breakfast that only serves one cup at a time.
Very average quality of the meals.

Ridiculous deposit charge when wasn't advised before booking used to come here all the time when visiting family, will use premier Inn from now on! Rooms stunk of cannabis in the morning also which was great

Arrived and there was no parking available. I was told by reception "parking is subject to availability"... now since I paid for 15 days parking with 1 night stay this came as quite a surprise.

It's like paying for a car and then being told "We don't have it.. Sorry."

Prestation is not really of a Mercure standard to me. Old furnished and shuttle services not really efficient (waited 30 min at the airport to finally give up and take a taxi - same on the way back). Even though shuttle service is not falling under hotel's responsability, I would expect them to notify from any inconvenience customer might encounter. However, personel was really nice and efficient in general.

Average hotel by Heathrow - not surprised at the run-of-the-mill quality by the price. We were a bit frustrated due to shabby decor, as well as our bathroom door locking from the outside on us. Power surge happened twice, knocking out all power to our room whilst having ONE light on and attempting to use the hair dryer - really? It's a hotel so not sure why the fuse wouldn't be able to handle average use of a twin room by two people... Not super happy with the experience - staff didn't seem to have much explanation or care other than "it happens."

Horrible room service, I've just asked for a duvet and waited for 2 hours! Called them 1 hour before they said it's coming, we live on the same floor as reception, 2 mins top. Waited for 10mins, nothing happening, 15m nothing, another 15m called again. Reception said they will be there 3mins, waited again, 10m..15m... Called, they now refuse to answer the phone. At this time it's been more than 1.5h. I just wanted to get a bloody duvent. It doesn't take freeking 2 hrs to get a duvet. When the man came up finally he said(with not genuine voice)"sorry, I was busy". This is their service. ha totally avoid!

I traveled to the center of London and the biggest problem is that Uber Mayslk to central London from this hotel I asked four times Uber Ashan to get me to Adjor Road (Arab Street), but they refused and Kinslow request for those who asked about the reason they say the journey is almost 40 minutes at a peak time and also take them Tax for the road ... I was forced to take the second location to accept the request
