Never ever will stay here. Mild in walls of hotel. Funny smell in the rooms. Told the staff and they never even care. I pay for the room online and at check in I had another 34 dollars. Never again
There was pizza crust in the mini fridge, no remote for the tv, the phone didn't work and smelled like bad breath. There is mold all around the pool and a water damahe crack in the ceiling. The front desk only addressed the remote issue. We also didn't like the people smoking right outside our room when there is a smoking area like 10 feet away.
Redeeming things: decent price, close to lots of food options, shuttles to the parks, on site arcade is awesome, water resort is cool.
I stayed here a few years ago and it was nice. It has seriously gone down hill. They need to clean up and get it together if they want to stay in business.
To spend it as a family it's super I do not like that the water park closes at 7pm
You get what you pay for. Paper thin sheets/covers. Dingy, smells weird, very much the OPPOSITE of a resort . Maybe we will have a better time once the water park opens in the morning for the kids to enjoy. But would never stay the night here ever again. Uncomfortable, a tourist trap if you will. Hate the rooms!

Check in was at 4pm, went to desk at 4:15 to find out when we could get into room was told housekeeping was not done, asked how much longer was told they were unsure. After getting into room, which was suppose to be a family room with 2 separate room and 4 double beds, and was just regular room for six people, went back down and spoke with registration, first was told they didn't have any more available rooms, and after a very not nice discussion we got the adjoining room. The hotel was not very clean, garbage over filled in areas, ice machines did not have ice, (was in the 90's on this day). People out partying in parking lot till 4:30 in am( security?) I have never wrote a review before but feel this was not worth the money i paid to stay.
I loved staying here at co co key hotel and the water park of course. Obviously it's gonna be different now as I went it 2013 but I loved it and there is free transport to the theme parks
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!---rooms are old, colors are terrible and worse of all. THERE IS NO PARKING!!--you come to the room after a long day and there is NO parking. They charge you $24 separate from the rate for self parking?????? This is defenetly not a $125 a night stay !
Horrible place actually Book here last year with no problems and I came back this year ,Horrible arrived at 1 check in and staff stated we will receive a call at 4 when our room is ready.6 PM room still not ready along with like 30 other people mad because nobody room was ready, people would cut lines , . 7pm finally got a room. 9 pm bed time MY LINING was DIRTY , No Towels, Rooms smell Like Humidity , I booked a double room 4 beds, they wanted to give me a king and a sofa , will never be back
Nice play for the kids to get on slides and in the pool. Closes when there is thunder but then opens back up. Can get really packed so get there early
Unfortunately, the photos online do not best represent the reality of this hotel in person. The only part that accurately resembles any online photos, was the water park. Upon arrival in our room, the room light switch turned on the mini fridge and vanity light.. forcing you to unplug and re-plug the vanity as you used it if you wished to use the fridge. The mini(and I do mean mini) coffee maker had the wrong coffee filter holder for our room.(?)so we did not get to enjoy it. Bar drinks were expensive and their specials were not special, arcade was hot inside from all the running machines and the hotel room itself was in need of some love and remodel. Seemed like they needed more hands and staff to help in front office and in need of security. We encountered a lot of wandering people from the street and worried about our car. We did not dine for breakfast so not sure of what that experience would have been like. The pool, jacuzzi and water park itself redeemed this visit for us. If we return it will be because of the park, all in all too expensive for what you receive upon arrival at this current condition of the hotel itself, not to mention all the hidden fees like parking, guest fees etc. If you visit, I would suggest not only coming for the hotel experience or water park, you definitely want to visit a theme park as your main entertainment here in Orlando.
I went to Coco Key as an overnight guest and it was a fun place for the entire family. There was a pool that me and my family went to. It's service and employees were help and friendly.
The front desk service is SLOW, the room smelled of mildew and was cold, the room heater didn't work and there weren't extra blankets, the image on the tv was distorted due to the poor quality, the room coffee maker was broke, the pool towels are so small it seems like they cut the towels in half so they had double the quantity without concern over the quality. The "indoor" swim area is only a cover. Our blinds didn't even work. This hotel would be fine if it was half of what they are charging. You can get better for your money.
Had the worst experience with this hotel and Tradewinds restaurant. A bug crawled out from nowhere as we were waiting for our food. Which took forever and we were the only ones waiting. The manager STOMPED the bug and kicked it across the room right in front of us, he apologized and said that he would have food sent up to our room, which never happened. Next day went into the store and the cashier over charged me then said that the tax on $1 was $1.29. Not the sharpest tool in the shed. I allowed my daughter to pick where she wanted to stay and do this vacation that's the only reason I'm continuing to be positive. Won't ever stay here again!!
Rooms look like they needed a paint job. Tub faucet only had one setting bc it was stuck, AC barely worked, 0 of the 5 ice machines worked, the outside needs a renovation, only had 3 available floats for one of the slides, when we told a staff member one of the floats needed to be replaced due to lack of air for safety his response was "you can use it or wait awhile for another one", every partition can be felt going down one of the water slides, every floor had a pungent odor of Marijuana, and no extended check out
We had a very nice vacation !! Beautiful place, large bedroom, friendly staff ... Lifeguards full of concern at all times, sooo nice with children and adults !!
Not worth the money. They charged us for parking even though we were staying at there hotel. The water park part was fun for my kid but the rest of the place is a joke. Paper thin walls you will hear your neighbors talking.
Water park is nice but rooms are terrible. The floors are dirty the room itself smells disgusting, it s always humid in the room and the fold out couch is dirty and you are given dirty sheets. The staff is also unhelpful and the park closes for maintenance throughout the year even though the hotel is closed January through June. It s simply low quality, dirty and inefficient I recommend going to a different hotel because this area is extremely packed with tiny buildings and always has cars driving by. I recommend going more towards the area of the Premium Outlets and away from this crowded dirty area. It only got 2 stars because of the park, otherwise it would be a one.
Everything was perfect In till l seen a roach in the bathtub. And then in the dresser too. the place do need some work on I wouldn t come to this place again.

Coco Key is a get what you pay for kind of place, the rooms were find, relatively clean, and you're not there to enjoy the room, you're there for universal/disney/seaworld. I felt like the cleaning staff did there best, and were very nice and helpful. However I didn't feel like they were throwing out sheets with stains, just rolling with them.
I didn't see the water park, it was too cold for that, but the staff at the front desk and. Concierge were for the most part very helpful, with maybe one bad egg out of the bunch. I would recommend getting a deal through 3rd party (50-80 per night), rather then the hotel (200 plus). This hotel/motel is not worth 200 a night. For that stay at a Disney property or a regular place.

As a Florida resident I was very excited to bring my two small children 2 and 3 to CoCo Key Resort. We reserved 2 rooms for two nights and paid good money on top of a resort fee. You staff was very friendly but Very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of the pools ( the hair , Band-Aids even found a disposable glove in the pool ). For our 2nd day in Orlando we chose to go to Legoland Water Park .

Yes they have a great water Park but they need to invest in the rooms. Room smelt musty as soon as we entered. No fan in the bathroom is why it smells like that. All our items were wet from moisture.
The fire detector was missing. Mentioned to front deck when checking out but person ignored my husband and acted like it's not a big deal. I thought all rooms are required to have fire detectors. For these reasons we will NEVER stay again.

Horrible! Our room was never cleaned in five days. My son's walked around with no shoes on carpet and had 7/11 feet. Disgusting! The ring in the tub is gross after 5 days. They did clear the drain in the tub that was holding water during our first shower. We had to request new towels daily after house keeping never showed. After long days touring Orlando you just want to come back to a clean room. Bed was never made. Disgusting Disgusting Disgusting. Water park was great though. My kids loved it. Stay elsewhere and then visit the water park. Demolish this place and start over. Keep only the water park.
Amazing place. My family and I stayed here for a week and we loved it. Rooms were up to date, and the staff was EXTREMELY friendly. My daughter didnt know that the slide was to deep at the end of the coverd pool, so she couldn't walk back and she didn't know how to swim either. But the lifeguards saw she needed help right away and they saved her. I loved staying here and so did my family. I DEFINITELY RECCOMEND YOU STAY HERE!!!
STAY AWAY! The only good experience was when we FINALLY were able to speak with a supervisor, after waiting with multiple other families who also had a bad experience, the manager provided a full refund. However it did not take away from the poor experience that was suppose to be a getaway for my wife and kids. The pictures are the only thing that looks good at this motel. The water park (if you want to call it that) does not open until 11am, they won t allow parents to ride a slide with your kids, and under five are not able to ride the slides. Then the actual big, what could be enjoyable slides are closed for repairs, which just leaves you with a normal water play area you can find anywhere. They advertise Breakfest included with price, however when you walk in to their overrated continental breakfast they try to charge you $14.95 per person, including kids. The tub backed up in our room and other families told me the same happened in theirs. The power kept going off in our room and the hot water never worked. We had ordered an extra pull out bed online and when we checked in they said the hotel didn t have any. After breakfast we had enough, as the water park was still closed at 11am and we head to the front desk. After waiting over an hour for the managers while they finished their breakfast, we were able to get our refund. NEVER AGAIN!!!
First room, a roach greeted us as soon as we walked in the room...Looked, and TV was missing...went back to the front desk, they knew nothing of it...they made zero attempt to fix anything...I had to exercise extreme patience to keep our trip successful.

I booked because of the location.everything was alright until the bathrooms were moldy /smelled(thewater2) and the sink wasn t draining right.they hit me with a 32$ resort fee.and a 50$ deposit which you won t get back until 30 days after checkout(which they didn t informed me). Food and drink are as pricy as the 5star hotels near it.For the audience In The place I believe it s overpriced...to top it off on Sunday.at the waterpark a fight occurred the commotion indicated it was a staving!!! there was blood allll over the floors in front of water park..people were walking on it!!!!! my kids were desperate along with other kids,the staff itself was terrified. I don t recommend this place for tourist. Or anybody that that has low tolerance with certain type of audience.

I took two days off from work to take my kids to enjoy the water park and everyone was so excited until the minute we walked in to the hotel lobby. We arrived early since I had called and they said even tho the room wouldn't be ready, we could enjoy the park and water slides. After the check in they forgot to give me the wrist bands so I had to make a 30 minute line out back again to be able to get them, and after 1.5 hour we finally got to the pool and park area only to realize the two big slides were closed for maintenance and I wasn't told at the time of reservation, it's not on their website and I wasn't told at check in time!!. After kids were in the water I went to order food to their caffe; one pizza, a salad and nachos... I placed the order at 12:18pm and at 1pm I was still waiting for my food and had to cancel my order, get my money back and walk to McDonald's to get food for my kids and I didn't even get an apology or a reason why they took so long. After all that, it's 4pm (check in time) and I didn't have a room yet, I got into my room 3501 at 5pm!!! so I go to give all my complaints to front desk and all I got was "I'm sorry, the manager is not available and she's new so she doesn't have a direct extension to call her or an email, just call the hotel tomorrow and ask for her" which I've been doing for three days and no one gives me a call back yet.

The hotel is older, but rooms were clean. Staff was nice. Lots of fun stuff for the kids. Multiple heated pools, water slides for all ages. Spent a week here and would do it again
Only down side was resort fee. Thought all was paid when I booked and had a $170 unexpected fee at check-in. Cut into my spending money.

After returning from a long day at the Magic Kingdom our keys didn't work and we had to wait over 30 minutes at the front desk for service. The water park is mediocre and needs repairs of some of the items in the kiddie area. When the room was made up they left us with two towels for 4 people. It was mid week so no reason for the poor service.

Musty smell in room. Bathroom was disgusting. Black mold on corners of bathtub and the toilet leaked water onto the floor. The room was in desperate need of a good cleaning. There were drip marks down most of the doors and furniture. On our 2nd last day there, my son son opened the drawer to find a cockroach scurrying away. When I told the housekeeping girl about it, she said it's quite common. Service overall was ok but they weren't overly friendly. Breakfast buffet was overpriced for what they offer. The walls are very thin. We could plainly hear the couple in the adjoining room arguing and could actually hear when their toilet flushed(not just water running, but actual flushing). At one point, I thought my son had sneezed and realized it was someone in the next room. Water park was good, but hotel is really in need of maintenance.
Do not go to the tour booth they can thank Andrea Coleman. I came to the tour and was sweet talked on a vacation package In the middle of the deal i had a arguement about my girlfriend who was sick. After signing document do u know she went behind my back and went and said everything I said about her. The area is ok, lots to do for kids however I did not feel like the pool was very clean =/ given the amount of kids in the pool I felt as though the pool should of been cleaner, actually got a little creeped out thinking about the things that might be "floating" in the pool that we cut our visit short.
Me and my sister stayed at Coco Key for 4days and 3nights during spring break with our children. We got down there 3 hours earlier than our reservation and from the minute we walked in the staff was amazing. My nephew is Autistic and was over the top about the new environment so the check-in lady gave us a key to the room immediately before I even did the paperwork. She also made sure we were on the bottom floor and close to the water park without even having to ask. There are lifeguards at every edge of the pools/water park/slides for the safety of the children and they were very attentive. It was cooler than we liked but all the pools were heated. The kids played at the water park most of the day. There was also tiki bar for the adults, game room, restaurant and if that wasn't enough alot more in walking distance from the hotel including mini golf. If there was a problem we called it was fixed immediately and with a smile. I would definitely recommend them for families with younger children.
Very dirty. This place seems to attract a loud partying younger crowd. Not my thing at all , was very disappointed. Room was not cleaned well either. Walked inside and my feet were black on the bottom. We didn't even use the water park because if the oil sheen in the water.
Call Ahead and check! The main part of the water park was closed for renovation while we were there. No Access! They were also painting the buildings while the guests were in them. I went to our 2019 Chrysler Pacifica to find it covered in a paint covered piece of plastic while painters were working right above it! Holy cow that was close. They stopped and I moved it - no damage - but that was BS! We arrived to short line but it still took 45 minutes to check in???? WTF? Then resort fees and parking fees jacked up our rates. Rip-off. The whole place is kind of low quality, rooms, etc. Our room was all right. But it also fronted to the covered water park area - think LOUD-. But the other rooms front to the parking lots where people loiter and smoke. We tried to enjoy the "resort" but the sounds of electric chipping hammers [like 7 guys at the same time] was horrible. Go to the back chair area by the big slides for the most uncrowded area. We tried going to the other pool where the hot tub is and it was NASTY. Floating human hair and dead bugs so much I had to get out, GROSS and I am not squeamish. This place could be fun if it wasn't crowded, was run better, was kept clean, was not under renovation, etc. The big slides were fun but they don't have enough of the required rafts so people got stuck waiting to be able to use the slides. Blood was on the stairs leading up the platforms here so that was another gross out. Everything at the place is way overpriced so plan ahead. or better yet, go somewhere else.

I booked to stay here for a day only if it wasnt too late to let the kids play so i called before we headed there and the attended said come on water park dont stop until later we got there about 5:10pm and was told that the park was closing in 45 mins i said u gotta be kidding me can i get a refund and we will go somewhere else and hotel mgr said no refund so they took 95 dollars and my kids didnt get to do anything we came all the way from Melbourne and couldn't do anything never been and ill never try to take my kids back

If you like dirty floors that are never cleaned, mold in the air conditioner, and cockroaches then this is the place for you! They charge you for breakfast and its a continental greasy breakfast not worth paying for.
We arrived at the hotel around 8pm after a long delayed flight. When we walked in the room it smelled clean and looked tidy. As we began to unpack we realized we were wrong! The bathroom had tiny black hairs in the corners, the sink and bath tub backed up every time we used it, there were chunks of paint missing off the walls, and the shower curtain was slightly ripped out of the wall. The white sheets were stained, the remote didn't work, and there was an inch of dust on the lamps. We were so exhausted and completely disappointed. You could also hear the family next door, and when we went for a walk the police we there to deal with an incident. We also discovered the water parks hours were conveniently at the same hour as check out and only open until 5pm. We didn't even get to experience the water park bc we are heading to our cruise ship. The one positive thing I can say is that the pillows were comfy. We will NEVER stay here again.

During arrival we asked about the water park and no-one told us that half of the water park was closed. They did tell us it was kid friendly but the part my son would have benefited from was closed. Other than that very pleased he still had fun but was disappointed he couldn't play on all of it.
Well, this place is great. But busy. The staff are extremely nice and kind. They are always checking. The slides are fun but do not stay in rooms near waterpark. They are not cleaned well
Please trust all these reviews!!! We booked this hotel on a whim as the reviews on the "tickets at work" site were raving! Upon checking details on google for check in times we found reviews mentioning ROACHES!!! We asked upon arrival, stating that we had read the reviews and were very leary of checking in. They stated that renovations had been made and all issues taken care of....this WAS NOT THE CASE!!! We were not even there 4 hours and found ROACHES!! When confronting the staff at the front desk all they offered was a room change! They were not surprised at all!! They initially refused a refund and it was not until my husband became upset they refunded our parking fee and told us we had to contact our booking agent to request a further refund! I had to pack up my children at 830pm and find other sleeping arraignments! To say they were upset is understatement! Please learn from our mistake and save your money!!
For 100.00 it includes 2 days of passes to use inside water park for family of 4 and kids stay entertained with arcade room and karoke, inside Bar for mom and dad and plenty to do off of I drive. Great Value for florida residents to get away and vacation while kids on a break or for the weekend.
The room was a standard motel room. It had a mini fridge which was good to keep drinks cold. It obviously needed some updating because our lamp had peeled off marks on the shade but the water park and lifeguards were amazing with the kids. However, I will also mention that we had an end room and when we were walking to the car I saw the clips of two joints on the ground. My youngest daughter is non-verbal and the life guard on station by the small slides was amazing and patient with her. If I could grade the water park and the hotel separately I would give the water park 5 stars and the room and cleanliness 3 stars. I think with a little better up keep and maybe some ashtrays outside this place would be awesome. The location is also very good, close to universal plus a lot of other smaller attractions and pretty close to disney.
It's a good place to stay if you have kids and they are into water parks. It was very inexpensive.
The water area was great. Lots of covered areas and seating. Very family friendly. There is a bar as well as food for purchase. Restrooms were clean and stocked appropriately. The only downside was that there weren't decent size towels. We didn't stay at this hotel. We paid to get into the water area and then paid $3 per towel to rent towels and they were small.
We went to the water park and the kids had a great time. Im not sure how the tooms or hotel is since we didnt stay here.
The pictures speak for itself. The rooms are disgusting and filthy. Pretty sure there is black mold on the ceiling, bath tub is near black and the room smells AWFUL, Mini Fridge doesn t work and furniture is dated, damaged and not sanitary. I would give the amenities and location 5*, this is by far one of the nastiest rooms I ve ever been in though and detracts from the entire experience.
I ve stayed here many times. They ve done a nice job renovating the rooms, seemed clean. The reason why I m only giving two stars is because it doesn t seem like they are concerned about covid at all. Every employee wore a mask. Other then that I never saw anyone cleaning anything. All of the chairs in the common areas should be spayed and cleaned all throughout the day. Pool chairs were never cleaned, nothing was. Railings, doors....I would have felt better if they had staff disinfecting. They didn t practice six feet social distancing at the bar. And people were walking all over the place barefoot which is completely unsanitary outside of the water park area. Unfortunately we have to worrry about this these days hopefully they start to take a little more action in stopping the spread.
I didn't want to be a bother but I had a few issues with the room. Went down to the front talked to Ozzie and he resolved the issues for me. We are enjoying the Waterpark pretty decent place to stay especially with having a Waterpark on the property. There was a little hiccup with housekeeping and our room was a little dated but other than that it was decent.

The pools were over crowded by people with day passes which seemed kinda unfair because I paid $600 for a 1 night stay 2 day pass and on top of that they did not let me know I could have had more time at the water park that I paid for the day I checked in until my room was ready at 4 pm and the park closed at 7pm
Sadly we were placed in a room that had several bug carcasses lying on the floor. The floor looked as if it hadn't been swept in ages. There were no towels available at the water park. We were told by staff that they were cleaning them and to come back. Came back 30, 60, and 120 minutes later and no towels available. Staff did relocate our room. This room although clean, the tv was broken. Late into the night a group of people outside the office were yelling and screaming drunken karaoke. No one stopped this. Overall the water park and pool was nice. The staff was helpful but when operating a "resort" in the Orlando/Kissimmee area, you need to step up your game. There so many other options that these minor issues will have people staying in other places.

Absolutely horrible!! I was booked here for a sports tournament, and it is disgusting! Our team had 3 rooms booked and one of them was so humid that the ground was wet! The carpet looked like it had not been cleaned in ages and the doors don t close properly. Some of us had also visisted our parents rooms and found that the halls smelled of drugs and alcohol! The first 5 building were motel style, and did not have properly sealed doors to the outside. They had mildew on the walls and were described as smelling like a dirty diaper! Not recommended one bit!!
