Rooms: (san nicolas villa)

Rooms: (san nicolas villa)

-Shows their age and definitely needs a more thorough cleaning.
- Sheets are white although it has that "maaligasgas" feeling that gives out the impression that either the room was not used for a while or hindi mashado nalinis.
-The a/c didnt work at first and we had to call engineering/maintenance. After having cleaned the filter and filled the a/c with freon, wala nang naging aberya
-The CR is a tad dirty. Youd notice that medyo may mold buildup na yung tiles at some parts. The glass shower divider has water stains and hard water buildup.
- our rented room has a working stove where you can cook

Overall: Ok lang although its not what you'd usually expect for a four star hotel

Community/Common areas/Amenities:
- the common areas ate well maintained specially the cafe, restaurant and pool.
- there are a lot of activities for the whole family
-each villa has a designated parking space in front although a bit limited. (You'd most definitely fird a parking spot although there might be a chance na malayo sa iyong rented villa)
- 24 hour security. I was smoking at our rented room's veranda at around 12mn and saw security patrolling the premises

Overall: we actually rented the place for a day so that we can take a dip at their pools. Ok naman but in order to be able to enjoy i guess a 2 day stay is a must

In summary: I'm in a bind if i can fully recommend the place to be honest. Had a bad experience with the rooms a/c as well as im not fully satisfied with how the place was maintained. If you can your stay at a discount then GO. Otherwise i'd recommend that you look for other alternatives.

Staff/service:
- unfortunately our rented room doesnt have a working phone therefore youd have to go to the reception area by foot. Thankfully, our villa was just near the reception area.
- engineering who fixed our a/c came after about 10 mins. Ok naman although everything could have been avoided if they regularly check and properly their rooms
- we requested floor mats and pinasabe nalang namin dun sa staff na nag service nung a/c. Thankfully someone came after about 20 mins. Again, this could be easily avoided only they provided mats in the first place
- staff, especially the guards, seems courteous to their quest.

This was my cousin's venue for his wedding. It's great, the ambiance, the location, the accommodation, etc. It's very relaxing. It's like you're having a vacation on your home. This is to be recommended for family vacation/reunion/event celebration.

The restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious and affordable. The old landscape has disappeared due to the eruption of the Taal volcano, but it is under construction and will return to its former appearance.

We had a great time during our stay but we were not able to swim due to series of activities. The house that we rented has everything we needed. It's also near the church so I was able to attend the mass and walked from there to Club Balai Isabel. There's a nice beach and a swimming pool plus an amazing view of the whole place. I suggest you walk around the place and discover the church and the garden. Get your cameras ready and enjoy!

Room is okay except for the broken water heater that took almost 1 full hour to fix.

Lake is not for swimming, also had some bad smell on some parts.

Resort is okay, Pool is okay.

KUDOS to the people, they are courteous and nice. I have noting to say to them. :)

They also had a great singer and keyboard player(this is just one person) at the restaurant, we listened till closing time.

Had some good spots for photo ops :)

Had tandem bikes.

But the security review is really bad and had me worried the whole time.

But well.. We enjoyed our stay specially my fiance. :)

Good:

1) The location is amazing, view over the lake are simply relaxing.
2) Rooms was spacious and clean.

Poor:
1) The CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT process need more more improvement.Waiting for more than half an hour .
Regardless if the resort is fullybooked or not, they should be strive to provide GOOD & FAST SERVICE.
2) RESTAURANT-very dissappointing.
Waiting and waiting for there WAIT LANG PO. The staff not prepared to cater all visitors and didnt seemed organized.Buffet dinner food is poor for the price.
3)Have no phone and net.
4) No rugs for the bathrooms.Need to go out and request to the front desk.

We stayed form Dec 25 till dec 28 2014. This is one of the worst hotel that will nickel and dime you plus the bathrooms is moldy and gross. We also tried to get an iron to iron our clothes and they were charging 100 pesos per item. Restaurant is way over priced. I admit this is not a 5 star hotel but it is surely not a 1 star in my opinion. Total waste of money. Go somewhere else. View is good but not international standards for sure. Ruined our vacation.

This place is truly one star and that s for the view only!! The rooms/cottages were not ready when we checked in . They were musty and the A/C s were not working. The beds were dusty!! The fridge was not plugged in. The sink was clogged!
The cottages don t have phones. They have this QR code to scan but if you don t have wi-fi , you can t use it. The receptionist won t provide you with Wi-Fi password if you don t ask for it.
The receptionist and service was substandard. It would help to welcome and provide first time guests a tour of the place and where to find provisions.
And it would also help if the rooms were truly prepped for expected guests!!!
If you are looking to relax and rest, this place is not the place to go.

Not up to my standards, The inflatables they advertise are in taal lake, there was lots of trash and the lake had a foul smell. The function halls and rooms were okay but the restrooms were kinda open air and frogs or insects could come in, even in the function rooms. Some areas had foul smells, there were areas in the resort which were unsightly. The rooms were so-so not really that good and the bathrooms were not that comfortable.

The place is best for relaxation. Lack in details. Rooms are big. Aircon is noisy. Hot and cold water in the bath room. Plenty of public restrooms for pool areas. Staff are courteous. No telephone inside rooms.

Club Balai Isabel. A good ace to spend summer time activities with your family. The place has a inflatable floating water park, cool to spark the fun w your barkada or family. Overlooking the breath taking viw of Taal Volcano, just a few hours drive away from Tagaytay. You can enjoy being by the view of Taal Volcano amd chilling by the lake woth the house that you will be renting. Bringing own food is really suggested as food is somewhat expensive inside

The place is big and is a great place for Company Outings and Team Building. Food and scenery are great. There are a lot of places to take good pictures, but it lacks shaded places especially on summer when it is too hot to walk around. There are only three pools, and they were so far from each other you cannot just move from one pool to another. Otherwise, great place.

We only came to Club Balai Isabel to try out the Aqua Park. We purchased Day Tour tickets that included an hour of fun at the Aqua Park but also allowed you the use of the swimming pools and other amenities at cost.

First impression of the area was that they needed better landscaping. I was feeling a bit claustrophobic from the overgrown plants everywhere. You can also get lost wandering around if you're not careful. The Aqua Park wasn't in any of the signages except for where it was close to.

A big plus goes to their Security Guards who were willing to help, courteous, pleasant and just plain good guys!

We weren't told at the front desk that the Aqua Park closes but opens at 1PM. We didn't want to try it at that time though because that was too hot. We spent our time at the pool close to it. I suppose since they cater to checked-in guests more than day visitors, there weren't changing rooms or shower rooms near the pool. We had to change in the comfort rooms.

The aqua park was okay. Props to the "Kuyas" who accompany the people through the park. They can pick you up when you fall in the water and when you can't even manage the course haha One hour is certainly more than enough. I couldn't even last 30 minutes.

I found out that there were shower rooms but it's quite a walk and they looked like they haven't been used lately. But they do the job.

Very quiet and serene place. The Lake is not suitable for swimming. Wifi is weak, it drops off when you need it most. Only has 1 restaurant that doesn't serve steak. Overall i would recommend the place if you want to get out of the busy city life.

Love the place. Front desk service is very helpful and efficient. Everyone was ready to make you feel comfortable and special. There are more ammenities offered although I look forward to get the wellness back. Food menu is rich with local dishes, artistic and tasty.

A good place for team building activities. Stayed at Agoncilo 106, the room smelled like it was an old room, which I think it is. There were some ants inside our room, maybe because of the welcome fruits provided in our room.
Basic toiletries were provided, but no toothbrush and toothpaste.
The food tastes ok, some are a bit salty and some are bland.
New rooms are being built, hope the old ones will kept well or renovated. The room air-conditioning unit initially didn't work well, good thing it was not hot during that time. Cable TV was not working during our stay.

Ambience was conducive for learning with the majestic Taal Lake in view. Enjoyed the food served but they tend to repeat their buffet menu. Also we didn't like it that the aircons in our room were just repaired (changed freon and changed in wirings) when we we're already occupying the unit.Either it was not not regularly checked by maintenance or previous clients failed to report. But over-all our stay was worth while.

Clean and decent resort with a superb view of the Taal lake and volcano. I especially loved the bougainvilleas. The pools are mildly salty - which I actually liked. It's a really nice place to unwind and breathe fresh air. The only minor hiccup is that wifi is limited to certain areas only, and celphone signal is low to very low.

Date: December 25, 2018 (Christmas)

Arrival: 7:30 AM
We arrived early and spend most of the time near the Aqua Park area, roam around the area to take pictures and to check the amenities.

Check in Time: 2:00 PM
we went to the information we waited for a while because there is some repair on the air condition unit of the room. We are booked for 1 room good for 6 pax (we are 10) so we had to book for another room to accommodate the remaining 4 pax.

We are 4 in the room and the towels are lacking 2.
We need to go to the information because the room has no telephone.

ROOM:
- No Telephone
- Remote Control of the Air Condition Unit is not working
- Remote Control of the Television is barely working too.
- The Key Card for the other room we booked is not working (They had to leave the windows on the balcony open to get inside)

FOOD:
- breakfast buffet is definitely good! it's delicious.

SWIMMING POOLS:
- It's fine although 2 swimming pools were under maintenance and cleaning.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Don't expect too much from them because they don't have the knowledge and care for their guests.
- You you will wait in a long line to check in and check out.

Good
