So-so hotel with canal smelling lake nearby. Pools are great and restaurants are okay. Overall, marketing was good and made the place over rated. The floating inflated play area is paid separately.

We really enjoyed our stay here. I did not expect the place to look so beautiful. I was originally interested in the Aqua Park of the resort but when we got there we were stunned. It was a gem of a resort, a hideaway right at Taal Lake. It almost looks like a beach!

The property is quite big with entire villas for rent or hotel rooms. You can cook in RFD villas bit not in the hotel rooms but that's OK because their cafe has a good ala carte menu which is reasonably priced.

We stayed at Banga 202 in a big room that had three queen sized beds and a single sofa bed that had a pullout bed. So 8 people could fit. One bathroom only though and just one mirror in the bathroom. Wished they had one in the bedroom and in the living room. Our room had a nice balcony but the view of the pool and Taal Lake was kind of obstructed by bamboo trees and plants.

Apparently, CBI is a wedding venue. When I took my first exploratory walk I saw a couple who were having their pre-nuptial photoshoot by the lake. They have a beautiful church and a gorgeous reception hall too.

Turns out the AquaPark wasn't as cool as we thought. It was well cared for but empty. The lack of human energy in the AquaPark was not encouraging se decided to skip that and just swim in the pool by the cafe. They have three pools BTW.

Oh, they do have a SPA. About 750 for a massage. We all had Swedish massages and enjoyed that.

Instead of the AquaPark, we ended up renting out their jet skis and HAVING SO MUCH FUN!!! We really wanted to stay for one more day to maybe try the AquaPark anyway even if we would be the only people in the park but we had to return to Manila.

Anyway, Club Balai Isabel turned out so much better than we expected so we plan to come back in the future!

View is amazing. You're by Taal Lake. Great for day adventure.

Package comes with pool and an hour at the aqua park, inflatable park. The pool is huge and can accommodate a lot of guests. The aqua park is fun, especially for teens and young adults. Try your strength with 'wall climbing' . Don't worry if you can't finish it, Just drop to the water, you'll be fine.

The restaurant has limited menu, yet good food. The bulalo is good. You can either choose buffet or a la cart.

This would be a five star if they have more amenities available for use. This is great for team building, retreat, family bonding or just to have fun with friends

They wont give u extra keycard. So when u go out of the room, you cant charge your laptops and powerbanks. All hotels i have been to will always give me 2 keycards. 1 i can leave at the room and one i can take with me except here.

Perfect place for family and business gatherings. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, and kind. Facilities are also well maintained.

Above everything, I really appreciated the staff. There are only few places with such pleasing people. And club Balai Isabel is one of those.

Good clean and comfortable place to stay. Ang Ganda! For vacationeers, you'd love this place. But for corporate functions, I think it's still something that they need to catch up on....the LCD projector was about to give up....choice and variety of food was getting to be predictable...but what the hey, you can't keep a good place down....overall, it was worth it...by the way, the pool was great too.

Just.

Fortunately, the location of the hall is really good. (company trip experience)

We are in room 8, the room is big with a kitchen, refrigerator, etc. But the towel is only 4, there is also no telephone.

The hall is wide, many beautiful views, the only difficulty is that we did not have a shuttle service for 2 days stay.

Very beautiful location, because you are in the middle of nature, very clean public spaces and very kind staff, rooms a little neglected in cleaning (we found many spider webs and many dead mosquitoes and ants in the bathroom, very dated refrigerator (full of rust) and with a bad smell even if empty.
Very old and sparse linen in the room. very large and beautiful spaces, however, can be improved a lot.
The staff is too kind and abundant (but they take a month what it cost me a note) logical that you can afford such a large staff. I have noticed that people work more than 12 hours a day. I stayed 3 days.
Bagan 304/3 floor. on 06-08 January 2018.

A good place for teambuilding with their large open space for games and multiple swimming pool, different room sizes ranging from 4 up to 14 persons. All with a great view of the taal lake :)

First time to go here and I think it requires refurbishing. The place is ok but its age is showing with the unmanicured open grass areas and outdated accomodations.

Still, if you do want a decent place to do team building and alike, it is a good alternative.

1. Very expensive.

1. Very expensive.
2. Food takes looong time to serve.
3. WE GOT ROBBED! 2 villas rented not next to each other were broken into and millions worth of valuables were stolen. None of their roving guards nor the guard stationed just infront of our villa saw what happened. Suspiciously, their CCTV cameras have not been working since 2014. 6 similar incidents in the past 8 months.
4. Club Balai Isabel Facebook page filters the comments their guets can post. They removed all negative feedback to make them look like a family-friendly resort BUT THEY ARE NOT!
5. They threaten guests not to speak up in social media. Pffft. Defamation is saying something which is not true. All the points I said above are true. Club Balai Isabel, cant you swallow the bitter pill called TRUTH?

They have a huge pool which is good for both adults and children (water was warm, but thats fine as it felt like you could stay in really long); comfy beds and clean restrooms; tried their buffet; food was good, not too many choices but good; overall the plave was very scenic (you could say instagramable). It was my parents' second time. They enjoyed their first stay so they decided to bring us to see the place. Would definitely recommend people to visit

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Club Balai Isabel. The Resort was recommended by friends and family. We are told it is by far the best resort in the Batangas/Tagaytay area. After staying a week at the resort, we completely agree. So pleasantly close to Manila. We can see Improvements are also being made. Adding more accomodations, and more fun things to enjoy in there massive location. We were provided superior service by the extremely friendly and always more then willing to accommodate staff. There restaurant was surprisingly reasonable in cost compared to the excellent quality and delicious variety of flavors. We enjoyed our time in the resort during our whole stay. So much to enjoy in one resort. Enjoyed jet skiing, biking, playing pool, swimming in all three of there massive Pools, taking super long walks throughout the resort. Really felt safe and secure at all times within the gated and extremely protected resort.. Pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful old style church. For those who want to marry or have a second wedding? The resort is truly a beautiful example of paradise. Taal Volcano was a beautiful view right from our patio. The superior room with a view is the best accomodations ever. Found our great deal on Airbnb.

The place was beautiful. The sea side view with the backdrop of Taal is breathtaking. The facilities were clean and orderly, with complementary toiletries. Unfortunately our stay was short so I cannot fully give feedback about.all.of the available facilities. But for me, the place and ambiance alone is more than enough for me to want to go back.

Enjoy

Just awesome all in one resort. There so many activities to do in so little time. We love the water, so swimming in the pool was so refreshing; tried kayaking and sailing for the first time - so much fun. The trip to Taal Volcano s crater on horseback was an experience my family will cherish forever. Rooms were tastefully furnished, the food served at the Terraza Cafe was excellent. Awesome place to be indeed - a place to feel safe and pampered.

It's off season when I booked my stay in this place. Reviews are good so why not. I was able to get a 20% off plus a free 30 minutes free kayak and 1 hour water park activity. As we arrive in the place, the rain is pouring hard and even the security guard do their best to handle all situation at hand (a wedding is happening) we we're stranded in the guard house for 20 minutes while waiting for a shuttle. As an excuse, the security advise us that drivers are having lunch and it's already 2pm. So we waited until the rain is just drizzling, so we walk up to the reception. check in and check out counter are separated. The receptionist seems pleasant but seems rattled due to outpour of customers, my companion seems irritated though due to slow service but i console her and remind to be more patient so she did, afterwards I excused myself to go to a restroom, while my companion finished up the check in. When I returned, she seems pissed because the receptionist claimed I already have the key, with further clarification and explanation everything and the keys are given after 30 minutes. Exhausted, I keep my spirits up cause I don't want to join in with my friends mood. Once we get inside the room, it was quite pleasant and spacious. I just wondered by we cannot cooked since there was a built in kitchen and electric stove for our disposal. Still the room amenities is nice. WIFI is poor, and only selected areas has a very strong ones. Once we get rested, we check out the premises, and took some pictures. It's seems good and some other areas stands out especially the church, pool, bar, water park and resto. And I told myself this still might work, For I short time inside our room, I finally resign to the fact that the internet connection is really poor so I excuse myself and went out for a stroll to took pictures and enjoyed the rainy ambiance. Had fun going for a deep and go further for a walk before I end my day. I wake up early for my morning jog, and pass by the receptionist to inform my free use of kayak and water park. Once I'm done with my morning routine, we decided to had breakfast, how I wish they started around 6 am so that there will be enough space for the guest. The crowd really pick up and there is a huge que. Still we manage to secure a pool side table and enjoy our meal. It may not be the best one we have but it's still good and returned to our room. My companion retire in her quarters for some more reading while I had the free amenities (water park and kayak) for myself. Alas, when I returned to the receptionist to get my free coupon, I was advised that I had none so it really pissed me off but manage to gracefully explained my reservation and payment and even showed my receipt. After an hour of clarification, the receptionist apologized for the wait and I didn't bother to make a scene coz I am running out of time. Still an hour and a half well spent kayaking and playing at the water park. All is forgiven and headed back to my room and gather my thing and check out. In my opinion, Club Balai is a great place but it needs to develop a system where there's a need to strengthen their operational communication, because the guest are taking the blows. My concern what if they encounter a snobbish customer and experienced the inconveniences that I encountered or worst what if, that particular customer doesn't have the patience I exercised during the ordeal. So if you ask me. 4 star for the place and amenities, 2 star for wifi usage, 3 star for cleanliness, (they didn't provided the needed trash can for appropriate trash) 3 stars for food, 4 staff courtesy, 2 for communication, 4 for fb and if worthy location, 4 for fun factor. If you ask if I'm going to booked again. The answer is maybe.

My wife and I got a special deal because her boss happened to be friends with the owner of the club, Mr. Terrible (yes, it s a horrible name, but very inappropriate as he is a very nice guy). The accommodations were fantastic, the view from our balcony was amazing, the food was terrific although the selections were limited and the staff was fantastic.

This club is for Filipinos. Most of the staff does not speak English at all, so come prepared for that. It s still one of the best views of Lake Taal you will ever find. And if the food served in the main dining room does not appeal to you, there is a pizza joint right next to the main swimming pool. Bring a swimsuit.
