The pluses are the floating activity, large amenities, plenty parking spaces, two main swimming pools, adequate appliances to cook your own food in your room, nearby wet and dry market, affordable a la carte in the restaurant, and very hospitable staff. The downside includes poor telecommunication, lack of telephony, poor data reception and lack of wifi in rooms. The buffet is expensive, and the room rates are stiff. Had an enjoyable stay nonetheless.

Rooms are a bit dated, not very clean, sliding door in our room was broken, air conditioner very filthy. Staff at their restaurant lacks attentiveness. We always have to follow-up our orders, they seem to always lose track of what's been ordered despite have a few people dining. We have also requested not to have pork in the dish as per dietary issues, they said its ok and will remove it but when they still served pork with our meal.

It was a very intimate area however during the time of visit, there were renovations going on and it was affected with the recent volcanic ash fall. I also enjoyed their available activities like jet skiing around the Taal Lake, the banana boat ride and their floating obstacle course area. :) It was a fun experience.

We visited for the new year countdown. View was great but since the place seem to be over capacity, customer service became slow. New Year buffet and program was unable to accommodate the influx of guests.

Rooms are clean, comfortable, and have nice amenities like working water heaters, powerful airconditioners, kettle, and rice cooker, but the rest is underwhelming. The food is only so-so, not a lot of options in the restaurant and it takes a long time for the food to arrive even if the restaurant isn't full and we ordered ahead of time. The guards aren't very helpful (one of our party members asked if they could radio staff for help carrying our belongings back to our bus and we were told to do it ourselves). The pavilion we used had so many flies. We couldn't use some of the facilities because they were crawling with those giant ants that bite. We got locked out of our room so we asked reception for the spare key and the two keys they used did not work.

A family get-away to the south. A worth it fun-filled family afdair. Thank you to Astrid's Tita Joanne for bringing us there.

There were not much of guests so the place was not that crowded. The weather was cloudy to gloomy to drizzling afternoon.

The #clubbalaiisabel is facing the Lake Talisay and of course the famous Taal volcano. An up close and personal view of this smallest active volcano. The lake is filled with water fun activities. You can enjoy an hour Water Park activities, get skid, stumbled, slipped, slide, climb and fall into the water.

The place was supposedly good, the location, was fairly good. To list down some of the worstsss experiences we have, Club Balai Isabel has no sense of commitment- they committed and accommodate our company outing witj 1000+ employess yet they were not able to accommodate us properly. This is the worst service we encountered. They commit us to have early check in specially those coming from night shift, but the thing is, the earliest room checked in was 2pm...and our group had our room at 530pm.we supposedly have a team building activity at 230pm but we were helpless. The food?they didnt provided well, looks like hoarding some foods. Snack were very limited and did not taste well. The bfast is the worst meal ever, just egg, tawilis nd watermelon and pineapple, no COFFEE!!!!.and to close this, the services from crew also sucks, i gave them the benefit if tjw doubt that it could be because they are too tired of the previous service they had, could be due to summer heat or tiredness...But nonetheless, my only asvismce is that, if you cannot provide your 100% quality service, then please do not commit. Our company spent so much time, effort, money and employees'excitement on this which happened to be wasted in one day or two.

Sink was plugged upon arrival. Shower flooded the whole bathroom. Tried to make us pay twice for a tour to taal. Reception office is crazy slow. Aqua park not as fun as I thought it would be and the big slide was falling apart and kinda dangerous. On the bright side, our guide on the hike of the volcano was quite good.

We stayed here--in one of the end rooms with a balcony and view--for free, as my wife (a journalist) was writing the place up for her newspaper, so my opinion may be a but biased. Doctor Terrible, who owns the place (his real name is Nelson Terrible' --pronounced tare-ee-blay--but it's more fun thinking of this place as a secret hideout) gave us a personal and in depth tour, but we did plenty of wandering while there, around the places Dr. Terrible failed to show us (where I fully expected something diabolical every time, and was disappointed every time). My capsule review:
*Excellent accommodations: clean, comfy and some rooms have amazing views (like ours), mini kitchens and balconies.
*Beautiful grounds: excellent landscaping and outdoor lighting; several swimming pools (I counted four, I think); perfect for weddings (with it's own full-fledged church) and the reception afterword.
*Staff is fantastic: lots of fun, very helpful and several speak little or no English (the resort caters especially to Filipinos, which is great if you want to get away from annoying American tourists, like me).
*Restaurant is buffet with a limited selection, but everything I ate I adored.

Bottom Line: Stay here: it's great, reasonably priced and offers exquisite views of the lake.

Place is perfect for relax and unwind. You will be seeing the beautiful Taal Volcano. Good accommodation and the buffet restaurant had a variety of food choices. Only concern is that not all parts of the place have access to network/poor signal.

Went there to check the place for a prenup location. So many potential sites for prenup. If you want a close-up view of taal volcano, this is the place for you. They have a restaurant/cafe inside which for me has a reasonable price for the taste and serving size. Their bulalo tastes great. The staff that accommodated us are nice enough to show us around and discuss the rates of their packages.. Staff in the restaurant were nice also. They offer different water activities as well.

Went there for the feast video congress 2018 and was pleasantly surprised with the pool, jetski, water sports activities. Room amenities are basic but bed is comfy. There's a veranda overlooking the Taal lake. That's a breath taking view!

The food they serve is really good! They are generous with serving and really worth the money. Swimming pools are also clean although not warm. The place is walkable and really conducive for vacation. However, bathrooms are incomplete and a little problematoc. The division between shower and toilet is a clear glass instead of an opaque. The bathroom is supposed to be for sharing but how if there is no privacy? They also don't have floor mats/towels for it. But the staff are very warm and dedicated. Never had a little single issue with them. The place is good for team building and or family vacation.

Pros: View of Taal lake great, Food is good, Staff are courteous and friendly. Fishes can be seen near the man-made porch in the lake.

Cons: Booking is a hassle, after a full payment 1 month before my date I only received my confirmation the night before my check-in date. Check-in is a hassle ( They clearly do not have a system in place to cater to a smooth check-in) Arrived around 1pm and patiently waited for 2pm to check-in but was only able to get the hotel key almost 3pm.
At their restaurant you would need to wait for almost 1 hr before you can eat your food so you better bring snack especially for your kids. Although the staff are courteous they do not provide good service given they have a lot of staff in the resort, we have to follow-up 3 times for our food and get the bill. The resort is open to day tripping so do not expect exclusivity.
Rooms do not have a safe for your valuables although they have one in the front desk which is okay IF your room is actually near the front office. AC is not cold enough if you are sensitive in room temperature. (probably an old AC)
Pool is big enough but is not cleaned regularly.

Overall for me the resort is only worth a day-trip. The hassle of booking and checking in is not worth my time. It seems they have gone complacent. The service if I would rate it is around 2.5 (because of how long they provide it). If I'll be going back here it'll be just for day trip. Also take note the peak season, we stayed april8-9 which is within the peak season because of the holiday. As much as possible avoid peak season as the resort is too crowded.

My family and a couple of friends stayed here, first for a company team building and extended for weekend stay of 2N 3D.
The place is peaceful, our room has a nice view of the lake with a beautiful sunset view. You could relax by the several pools they have, bike around, or just sit by the restaurant/cafe.
Food is nice, especially the pizza place attached to the main restaurant.
This place would be perfect for those who want a lakeside wedding. There is a chapel inside the resort for convenience and the place can accommodate a lot of guests.
Just need some maintenance work on children's play area, but all in all good price for money.

There should be no star. 1st, very poor service. 2nd, nothing special in the place except the inflatable thingy them. 3rd, costly but seems to be in the cheap public resort and former pool area. 4th, the place is nice. SO NOT WORTH YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND EFFORT.

(You folks at the establishment asked for it. Here goes.)

Unbelievably charming upscale-looking resort, with good amenities. At first glance, it felt too big to stroll around (you're given a map, and guests get to ride an electric tram). But, it was surprisingly doable from end to end. And the activities available in premises are as though it'd take the entire day to finish.

We spent a night there too. The cabin was spacious and pretty much clean. Until a rat barged in the sink. Otherwise, we got settled in a premium-looking cabin (it had its own terrace and was gated for own exclusive use) that was also sun-baked and hot inside at first. Wi-fi didn't work too, at the time.

The whole point of the resort, however, was to enjoy nature (their environment), not be distracted by your phone. Oh, and if you check-out of your cabin without a single piece of trash left behind, they *may* treat you to a whole pizza baked in-house (I didn't get that, sadly, despite having fulfilled the incentive; so another point against them). At least they commit to be a carbon-neutral resort.

Overall, as a resort, it is a relaxing and fun destination, especially for families and big groups. If you can bear the lapses here and there, it is a resort that is still highly recommended.
