Good service with a great natural wonder on the side. The accomodation in the hotel is great enough. Even the food they serve for breakfast is ensured to cater a variety of guest - west to east. It is near an amusement park and a humble mall. It is an excellent place.

The hotel still has that vibe reminiscent of the 70s and 80s era. You get that feeling of coziness; and you just feel good being at the hotel. The rooms are very much up to date, very clean and tidy, including the lobby and saloon. The buffet breakfast is a feast, full of well loved Filipino cuisines, and its counterpart - highly recommended if you're in Tagaytay area on an early morning stroll. :-)

Pros:

Pros:
A classically designed hotel with a view of Taal Lake which was nice.
Spacious and clean rooms.
Comfy beds.
Tasty buffet food.

Cons:
No CCTV in conference halls.
Very bad soundproofing. I could clearly hear the TV from the other room and the voices of the people walking along the corridors.

Quite different from the way it used to look 35 years ago. Very nicely upgraded.

Walking in there initially, it appeared their airconditioner was not working as it should. Now, that needs work.

Overall, impressive ambiance, relaxing atmosphere, and a friendly professional staff are just a few yet noticeable traits exhibited.

Definitely my go to place when visiting Tagaytay Philippines.

Will be back soon guys! Thank you.

Bread and pastries- just exact in terms of selections. Fresh, absolutely! Particularly love their crispy biya, chicken adobo, and beef tapa! The tsokolate was perfect as well. Fruit selection was meager. No bananas though. Overall- 7/10.

Didn't stay here, so I can't comment on the hotel, but we did have lunch here and the food was excellent, even for a buffet. The staff was very courteous and it offers great views of Taal Lake and the volcano island.

Comfy. Prices are like in Manila, however, which shouldnt be because it is already in a province and a product source itself. But the parking, guest lounge, and view of the Taal Lake from d hotel grounds are a breath of fresh air.

I gave two stars for the wonderful staff that we interacted with and for the view of Lake Taal, which is absolutely stunning. The food in the main restaurants is also very good quality, and I would happily return to the just the restaurant in the future.
The hotel, however, is one of the worst experiences we have had in our 4 years in the Philippines. We were booked in for 3 nights originally and almost left after the 1st terrible night. We ended up staying for 2 nights but got refunded for the 3rd as we couldn't bare the sleepless nights. The hotel is EXTREMELY noisy. You can hear absolutely everything from your room into the corridor, and people would return home between midnight and 3am shouting and laughing in the hallways. They would continue their conversations in the hallways, not caring who they woke up. We also had a kid's party going on in our corridor that went on until 2.30am (some questionable parenting skills going on there!). Unfortunately, nobody answered the reception desk when we repeatedly called and so nobody could help. This was the case for both nights we stayed. You can literally hear every piece of furniture being scraped along the floor (or were people dragging beds from one side of the room to the other, it was hard to tell tbh!).
That was the major issue, but for a 4 star hotel for this price, we expected much more. The beds are rock solid (good luck sleeping on your side!), the poor staff appear to be reduced in number and so not once was the phone answered for either reception or room service. Half the hotel is closed (due to covid restrictions) so only the terrace lounge was open for dining (the really nice restaurants were shut during the week). The TV also did not work consistently. These latter parts wouldn't have been such an issue had we actually been able to sleep; no sleep - especially at a 4 star hotel - is a deal breaker wherever you are in the world.

The Buffet at the Verandah Restaurant is great! They even have a carving station, good value. Even the breakfast buffet has an extensive selection. It has been a while since my last visit to Taal Vista and they certainly did a good job improving the F&B service.

It is a historic 5 star hotel in Tagaytay. It is damp and hotel bed sheets are always damp.
I feel sorry that I will stay for 3 ~ 4 days. However, if you stay longer than that, you will get tired of bedding every night.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room we were billeted in was luxurious, cozy and complete with necessities. They even have a flat iron and a board. Room was also clean.

Tiny downside was that the weather wasnt too good during our stay. This caused the wind outside to sound like a banshee howling in the night while it was hitting the outside walls and the windows.

Fit to be labeled as a Five Star hotel! Very accommodating concierge and staff. Place is kept clean all the time. Buffet breakfast is heaven! Scenery is awesome. What more can I say! Kudos to Ehl of front desk for upgrading our room. It was a wonderful post birthday gift. Would definitely come back.
