I've been coming here since I was a kid for the holiday buffets. It's one of my cherished memories with my grandparents, so yesterday we went for Easter brunch with my mom and my kids. Some things have changed for the better, but absolutely nothing has changed for the worse. The staff is on point and takes care of everything you need and all the things you didn't realize you did. It's hard in an establishment like that for the manager of the entire restaurant to come around and check on the guests, because of how many tables there are. That's why it was exceptionally good service that he DID go around introduced himself and asked how our meal was. The food has not lost any quality since the first time I came when I was 7 years old. It was because of this restaurant its staff and its culture that I now hold other restaurants to such a high standard. Yes it's pricey, but I can't think of a better way to spend time with my family in such a beautiful location with such wonderful people. Can't wait for the next one as I'm sure my children will remember this when they get older

The beds were comfortable. This was the best sleep I had all vacation long. There was no temperature control in the rooms and we couldn't even get a microwave even though we paid for a deluxe room. Great views but otherwise nothing special about this resort unless you are have g an even. I assume it would be nice for an event. It's also close to several restaurants and basic shopping if you do not want to eat on site.

We chose this hotel because of how it looked online. We were under the impression that we would have spectacular Mountain View s for the extra fee but were disappointed to be facing the driving range (nothing like the photo). The hotel itself is in a nicer area but the area around it is ran down and somewhat scary. We did not feel safe venturing out at night. We were there for four nights and never had trash removed or clean towels without hunting someone down. We liked the private entrance with COVID-19 going around but the room was less than desirable. The lock stuck and was extremely difficult to push open, there was mold/mildew on ceiling and tile in the shower, A/C never got below 74 and we had a lot of bugs in the room (spiders, earwigs and ants). I talked to management and got a discount but I doubt we ll return. Save your money and choose a clean hotel in a nice area.

Stayed here for a work event and loved every minute of it. From the moment I checked in everything went so smooth. The room was great, the view was incredible, but the hospitality of the staff far surpassed any hotel or resort I have ever experienced. Sarah Lane at the front desk went above and beyond on several occasions to help me and our group out. They have everything you need and if you want something else they have a shuttle for that too. Just a great overall stay.

I was here 10/8-10/11/2018. I believe 4 out of 5 stars is appropriate. Service was excellent. The place was reasonably clean. I really like the feel and ambiance of a winter cabin. It actually snowed while I was there. I didn't get much of view of the mountain, but it isn't there fault. Couple things I didn't care for, the rooms are outside. You have to go to your cabin and then go to your room. It isn't connected to the main lodge. So, when you have your bags, it is dark, cold and snowing, and you have to walk up and down stairs and hill sides, it isn't cute or fun anymore. It was actually very annoying to have to traverse across this place in the weather to make to my conference location. Plus a little dangerous on the slick surfaces. The toilets in the room use a ton of water and don't have much flushing power. It found it odd to see the conservation information only to have almost a 2-gallon toilet tank per flush and not to mention mine ran. Food and drinks here are expense and the Rib Eye wasn't all that great, not for the price. At the end of the day, this place is nicer than it is bad. So I would stay here again and I would recommend. The shuttle service to/from the airport was spot on and great.

We opted for this resort instead of the Broadmoor,...

We opted for this resort instead of the Broadmoor, bad choice!
They are clearly not prepared to operate during COVID. We have to put how many people will be staying in the hotel upon arrival so they should have enough towels And toilet paper before arrival available. Instead, I had to call immediately for more towels. There wasn t any blankets or pillows in the closet for the sofa bed so we had to wait an entire day for that. I had to chase down cleaning maids for coffee, creamer, cups and water to fill the keurig because we got tired of waiting. They will only allow two coffee pods which is ridiculous. That means we have to call daily and wait for coffee. Not acceptable!
The AC unit doesn t cool below 75 and runs constantly like it s trying to do so. It s cooler in the hallway than our room. We can t leave the screen door open at night due to being put in a room next to these huge noisy fans that turn on and only have a break of silence for 5 mins.
The views aren t fantastic. Yes you can see Cheyenne mountain. But imo if they were actually facing the mountain and not the parking lot/resort and mountain it would ve been nicer.
We ate at the elevations bar one night since you had to make reservations at the other places due to covid. We waited 20 mins just to have someone come over and introduce themselves. My daughter received her cedar salad which automatically is made with chicken with no chicken nor requested ranch on the side. The dressing I get, it happens. But how do you not make a salad with the standard grilled chicken. When I asked them to either remove it from the bill or just charge us for a house salad, they changed the price from $13 to $11.
By far the worst part was the trash service. We all know the small hotel trash cans in the room. We have 2. One in the bath and one in the room itself. It fills up quick with 4 people.
No extra trash bags available in room. Of course calling and asking, we wait for an hour and nothing, we leave and come back, nothing. We had to take extra grocery bags to empty our own trash and try to stuff it in the outside trash holes which are nearly impossible. The room begins to smell bad quickly and then the hallway.
They need to be more efficient in how they handle services prior To arrival dependent upon the number of guests staying. They need to be more Efficient in bringing items if asked so people aren t waiting around when they clearly have things scheduled to do while on vacation.
This stay for us was essentially an overpriced motel with literally no service unless we begged or complained or ran someone down to get ourselves.

Great facilities and amenities. Beautiful view and lovely structure. Parking near the lodges gets full after dark and a number of the guests seem oblivious to the presence of anyone but themselves. Other than that, no complaints.

Great staff, great room ... wonderful shower too!! Only drawback was their restaurant cooks were overwhelmed and it took over an hour to get our dinner. The waitress was awesome and made up for it! Fun paddle boarding on the lake ... plenty of boats to choose from and again, the staff was incredible.

I called ahead to make sure they were serving dinner. I was told that they were. When we got there we were told that it was only buffet and it was $75 a person. The food was definitely not the caliber to charge $75. The waiter Brad was super rude. He asked my son for ID and when I started to pull mine out he said, "no not you!" My son had half a mind to go tell him not to be rude and not to make someone feel old when they're in a customer service position. He also didn't want to work very hard. My mom and daughter asked if they could have tea. He asked what type. They asked what kind was available. Instead of just giving them a list and letting them choose, he responded to both of them at different times, " well what kind do you like?" (Like they were a bother.). Overall after looking forward to this evening it did not meet expectations.

This resort has beautiful views of the mountains and plenty of sporting options (golf, pools tennis, free kayak use, etc). The rooms are nicely designed too, tastefully done with a nature theme.

This hotel needs work in a couple areas. While the rooms look nice, the front door and patio door to our room are poorly aged. Can t close the front door without slamming it, and the patio/screen door makes a horrible screeching noise when you open it. Needs replacement, way past it s prime.. Looks like it s 40+ years old. Also, the lock built into the patio door no longer works. Instead a cheap little $10 auxiliary lock is used. Not safe.

The front steps to our room (265 cripple creek) aren t to code and look and feel really sketchy. They ve been fixed in a shoddy manner over the years. Btw the code violation is due to inconsistent riser heights. I don t personally care but it is a trip hazard. Take some of the profit from the $5 glass of Tropicana orange juice and fix the rooms.

I don t get how a resort could be so nice in some ways but so lacking in others. Doesn t make sense.

I liked the hotel overall the room was clean and really nice. There was no cable you had to pay extra to see basic cable and I was charged at the end some kind of resort fee of $24.00 per night. Which I was told come from the amenities like the gym pool and up keep of the facilities. I wasn t please with this extra charge. Other than that it is a nice place to stay but make sure you add in the $24 per night fee!!!

Not a high end resort. Good for pool and views. Price was not justified Lots of traffic by the workers and their golf carts in back lodge area. Rooms are your standard hotel room size. Expected more for the price.

This place and the staff are amazing! We stayed recently to celebrate our anniversary but the room we booked was under renovation. Patty upgraded us to the presidential suite, which was beyond what we were expecting, and there was a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us in the suite as well. Thanks for making our anniversary so special!

I loved my stay here. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms have amazing views and are quite spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The sports bar had great food and a good selection of drinks. I didn t use many of the resort facilities but the pool was great. They light the fire on the main deck each night which is awesome sit around while watching the sun set over the mountains. Would highly recommend staying here.

The rooms were small for the price and were very warm....two of our five rooms had to have fans just to stay relatively cool even at night. The service staff was excellent all around. We were a group of 21 with 11 kids from 3-17 and stayed 5 days/nights. Great activities but some areas around the club closed at 7. The worst moment of our stay was as we were celebrating my grandsons 10th birthday with cupcakes in the lobby and were told that wasn t allowed because it was technically part of the restaurant area....it had 4 people eating there at the time so they did NOT need the space. Seemed a bit snooty....

Attended mothers day brunch and was a bit disappointed. Very crowded and the food was mediocre at best, paired with the long walk to the buffet and constantly maneuvering around the crowd, for the price I think there are better options available in Colorado Springs.

We had one of our best vacations here in August. Spectacular views, friendly staff and great amenities. I was skeptical after reading the reviews but we had a great time. We upgraded our room to mountain view and were stunned by the views. My kids enjoyed the beach, kayaking, making smores and the splash pads. Highly recommended! We can't wait to go there again.

Stayed at the resort for 4 nights for a conference. The staff was absolutely great, the restaurants were all very good. All the amenities on site were fantastic too. One thing I was very impressed by as someone who travels a lot for work was the beds. They were incredibly comfortable. Overall I d stay here again.

Love this place! I have stayed here on a few occasions while in Colorado Springs, and it is always enjoyable stay. The room was spacious & nice, a very comfortable bed and lots of amenities. Balcony in room with great view of Pike's Peak. Restaurant has really good food at a reasonable price with outstanding views of the resorts grounds. I would definitely stay here again. I love the relaxing environment and outstanding customer service they provide.

It's aging. The chairs and carpets have stains while a little sticky. Used to be such a nice resort but no one has really maintained up keep. The views are amazing and the food is still outstanding.
Addition: Event planner first job? My friend's wedding was not at all like she planned. Yikes
BUT half the staff was so great and I did love the food! Always.

Resort facilities are incredible, with many included activities. The catch: it rains every afternoon and the aquatic center and lake are completely shut down. There isn't much indoor activity to speak of, especially for kids. The room is just okay. Comfortable beds, but not very soundproof - especially if lucky enough to have upstairs neighbors. That said, we'd probably stay again - especially after the indoor aquatic complex is complete.

My trip here was pretty short and it was for a wedding. The rooms are pretty basic you don t get that many amenities for a room that cost about $257 a night. Honestly I think we re paying more for the scenery than the actual rooms. The food was decent breakfast is not included but it s $20 for a buffet and on Sunday they have $50 brunch which comes with bottomless mimosas so not too bad for the price. In all it was good experience and I loved my stay there may not go back to the hotel but Colorado is beautiful. Also the front desk staff are really friendly and helpful!

I will absolutely never stay here again. I normally stay at Broadmoor but it was full. This Place is not even a upscale LaQuinta Hotel. Checked in two dogs. Had room on third floor and found out no elevator. Room is severely dated. Carpet disgusting. Bathroom so small I would not even shower. Took one hour after placing food order at restaurant. Spent $108 for hamburger, four drinks etc. This hotel is plainly disgusting from dated rooms to sorry food and drinks. And I paid over $300 for this nasty place. Going to write reviews every place I can find. Really bad bad bad Forgot. Water from bathroom sink is cloudy and smells. Had to get water for coffee pot from tub

We only stayed one night so I cannot comment on the extra resort features, but the room was very nice and clean. The lobby was beautiful and they had an outdoor heated pool which was great!. The food seemed very overpriced. I was ready to pay a premium but $15 for bacon and eggs was a no go for me. So unfortunately I cannot comment on the quality of the food either.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort has been the most accommodating place we could have picked for our wedding venue. The Coordinator John Kerr was an amazing host and took care of us immaculately. He is wonderful at getting all the little details straight, to make a custom event for you. Anything you need or say he takes into hand and takes care of it, personally. For our wedding we also had a lady in waiting, Ashley, who was amazing as well. Anything that needed help with she just ran and did. She was friendly and very attentive. The chef s were also amazing. We needed something a little more culturally specific and they helped us accomplish that. We also needed to special order meats and cheeses and they assisted us with that as well. At Cheyenne Mountain Resort they defiantly don t treat you like a number or event, they really treat you as if it was the most important day of your life. Who would have ever thought that your wedding day was so important? They do their jobs and do them well.

Stayed here for a night out with my wife and was not impressed. Rooms were extremely outdated and felt like something out of my grandparents house. Was way overpriced and will not be coming back here. Not the romantic evening I thought we could have. I gave it 3 stars simply because its location is one of the best in Colorado Springs. But would not recommend anyone to this resort.
