Recently stayed and brought our dog with us. The room was spacious in comparison to many rooms in this price range, with plenty of room for his crate (he's a basset hound mix) and our luggage. Everything was clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. Location is nice and we had a pretty view of the lake. We didn't spend much time at the actual resort, instead opting to hike and see local sites, but everyone we encountered was friendly and it felt safe. Would definitely stay there again.

The worst "4star" ever. They do not have elevators in most of the resort buildings. They put great pics of the rooms online but the rooms are awfully old for a 4star and the rooms are not ready on time and the managers don't care about their impolite staff. This was definitely not worth the money.

I went through the bad reviews, just to see and I'm not sure where some of these rooms are. I had a great time, didn't pay for a fancy view.

There were a few things that I knocked off a star for.
The room wasn't pristine, but nobody is perfect. Some dark stain on my sheets and some hair in the shower. The table outside clearly hadn't been wiped down in awhile. I was only staying for a night and it was a mom staycation so I wasn't too worried about it. I brought my own clorox wipes. The toilet was pretty low and the cord on the mirror was broken at the end.

The stairs are pretty beat down outside. There were no doggie bags at the dog potty area by my room. It seems you have to go through the main hotel check in area to get to the rest of the resort which was A LOT of stairs. Yes you can use elevators but I like leaving those for people who need them.

Other than that everything was amazing. The bed was so comfortable, the pillows were great if you like soft pillows. I got the best night of sleep I've had in years. I couldn't get the room to go above 69 at night but that's not a big deal. I'm from the desert so 69 is cold to me lol. TV was nice. There was a fridge that worked well, a microwave, safe, and a Keurig. I do wish they had more tea, there were 3 different coffee options and 1 tea. Nothing worth knocking down the stars for there though. Resort is huge, all pools are heated, and there's a part at the aquatics center that they call the beach. You just can't take your dog there, which is understandable but we couldn't leave our dog in the room since she has anxiety.

The fee for the dogs is super cheap which was amazing. I was expecting at least $75-150 but not even close!

Overall it was great and I'd do it again.

The rooms were nice and the facility was well maintained. They were understaffed throughout the resort and the staff wasn't very knowledgeable about information about the resort and it's accommodations.

Not quite as expected. View was somewhat obstucted by trees and only viewable after walking out on the balcony. Parking in winter is a bit far from the room.Bathrooms were not quite as nice as expected. The Service however was absolutly fantastic , we wanted some coffee to stay up for new years and unfortunately the maid service before we arrived had failed to restock the coffee area (or clean out the fridge from previous occupant) to our surprise they were very prompt to correct the situation and had it at our door in less then 5 min. The brunch buffet was fantastic and the food was delicious. All staff are very curtious. We had a couples massage and as it was the first time we have ever had a massage i was relived when they calmed our fears and made us very comfortable well worth the try if you have never had one as they were very professional polite and curtious. The room decor and ambiance is very nice and the overall property was very well kept. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

We went here for the first time on the Fourth of July. What an experience is all I can say!! Amazing resort with the best staff I've seen at a resort in Colorado! The only con I could find is not enough chairs at the pools but other than that this place is flawless!

Well the resort itself has an amazing view. We came for Mothers Day brunch and were extremely disappointed. $60 a plate you'd expect amazing service and food choices unfortunately this was not the case. First we were placed in the back room that didn't have the view, no ambience and food choices were not the same as the main dining area. We were a party of 10 and we sat at a table for 6. No leg or elbow room. My feet were constantly being stepped on by staff. As far as the staff trying to get drinks or help was impossible. We asked for mimosas 3 times till we finally received one. We asked for vodka 5x and still never received any with our bloddy marys. You'd think at $60 a plate we would have some great food....nope! Food was not warm, very few choices, english muffins that were not toasted for eggs Benedict and many more issues. They included gratuity and in my opinion they should not for a buffet especially when service is not to par. Extremely disappointed. Being locals and with a party of 10 @ a $600 bill we WILL NOT recommend or attend the resport again. This makes me sad.

This resort has plenty to offer. There is a beach with access for kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards, and also a fitness center - included with your daily resort fee. There are also golf, tennis and spa services available. There is an aquatic center in addition to the courtyard pool where kids can have a blast. During this season (late July), it rains every afternoon. You have until the train comes to enjoy the outdoor amenities. You'll need to entertain yourself in other ways or out on the town when there is afternoon rain. There is plenty to do in Colorado Springs!

We our Christmas luncheon and for the price of $27.99 the food was awful!!!! The salmon that was served was very dry and all of the food that came with it all taste the same with a very hot spice in it. We had over 15 people go and everyone was very upset. I recommend never go there!!!

Room Price was $99.00 but there is a $21.00 facility fee. Then the room should be advertised as $120.00. Also we got the Christmas Package that evolved an Elf Turn Down for the kids. Well when they got there it lasted less than 20 seconds with cheaply made sugar cookies and milk and the gifts for the kids was a small rubber ducky with the resort logo on the chest and someone glued antlers on and tied a tiny bell around its neck. Also the hotel restaurant had an all you can eat seafood buffet for $45.00 a person!! Another thing was there was a Hot Coco bar with one cup of Coco but you can use as much toppings as you want the problem was the Coco was 8 dollars a cup, it was Swiss Miss Coco. Really Guys. Oh also there is no Disney Channel for the kids. No continental breakfast or fresh free coffee in the lobby. This is not a place to stay just because, but the staff was nice and friendly but Hotel Politics sucks.

Cheyenne Mountain claims to be a resort. Far from what I consider a resort. First the thermostat is from the 70's and is nearly impossible to set and be comfortable. Second the doors and fixtures are old and beaten up. For the cost of the rooms they need to put some money into their "resort".

What a treat our time at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort was. The grounds of the resort itself are gorgeous with a beautiful back drop. The staff were all phenomenal, with great customer service. The main Lodge, restaurants, fitness facility, tennis courts, pool, etc... are all exceptional. There were only 2 things that I was disappointed with; the rooms were a bit rundown/dingy, and the Thanksgiving buffet left me feeling frustrated and slightly disappointed. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would consider it as a strong option when making a getaway to Colorado Springs again.

The views from the main decks were great, ours however was the outside of another building and a tree. The people in the room next to us were smoking pot for a good portion of the evening and several things in the rooms seemed a bit run down. We requested a crib or play yard for our infant and the one that was brought was very old and the base was obviously stained from previous uses so I ended up purchasing a new play yard for our stay. For the price we paid for dinner and the room, I really expected to received a higher quality. We will not stay here again.

A nice ressort, have been here twice for a conference. You can play golf, go swimming, have a gym and a nice pool. And some nice places arround: Oldtown, Garden of gods, Seven Falls, Pike peak and more. Regarding price: you have to decide on your own

This is a wonderful location to relax and enjoy a vacation in Colorado Springs. Relaxing poolside while overlooking the mountains is breathtaking. Customer service was excellent, and the restaurants on site weren't terrible. There's also plenty of free parking! Rooms were decently-sized, and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

Very nice place unwind. Breakfast at the Mountain View restaurant is relaxing and so good. 20.95 but kids 6 and under eat free, and this is one of the best views you will see at any restaurant. The resort has employees who are engaging and and quick to make sure you feel you are getting great customer service. We used the pools all around the resort and spent a day on the lake enjoying the beach and all the included water sports.

Stayed for one night. Rooms could use a bit of $$ to improve structure of room like doors, trim etc. (alternatively beds, tv appeared updated). We talked to 5 staff in attempts to get a rollaway bed for our room (because our 2 young kids didnt want to sleep in the same bed). All staff ended up saying No, but you could tell in their eyes, that they could have said Yes (which was annoying). All said it was a fire hazard (ya ya fire issue, right - our family has been travelling the USA and this is our 30th hotel over 2.5mnths -- almost everyone else had no issue with a rollaway). Since there were only 2 towels provided in the room we called houskeeping for some extra. They appeared promptly and also offered to bring in a rollaway for the kids ( without even asking). Thank you housekeeping staff for looking after your customer. Not sure what the customer service staff in the rest of the hotel are getting paid for.

Amenities are 4 star, rooms are 3star. Missing the small touches for example we had to request robes/do not disturb sign, no lotion/toiletries aside from shampoo conditioner and body wash. Seems like locals/people not staying at the hotel were using the pool (nothing needed to access the area and no staff supervising). Got a good deal on the room but not sure I would be willing to pay any more than we did to stay there again. Staff were friendly . Beautiful views and the main lodge/ entryway is impressive.

Accommodations: mediocre, bathroom smells, door fell off the hinges and was told to go book another room, A/C doesn t go below 72, can t reach anyone at the front desk for assistance after trying to reach someone for 30min.
I don t think I would ever stay here again even if it was free. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The room was just ok, rather dated and dingy. I was surprised about this because the lobby was so nice. The walls must be very thin because we could hear EVERYTHING happening in the room next door. The food in the main restaurant was not good. I ordered the wild mushroom ravioli. The pasta was bad, and the sauce was even worse. I could not eat this dish. I would not recommend this hotel or restaurant.

I stayed here for my birthday last year and definitely think it was over priced. The hotel room was not that nice and the view from our room had a tree right in the way of the mountain. Food was crazy expensive as well. The view from the golf course and hotel restaurant were the best part and the spa was nice since it was my first time getting a massage done. Otherwise, I will choose to stay somewhere else next time.

Pros: Great views, great pool and lake, and Gates Grille had a tasty breakfast. Cons: The recent reno of lobby and rooms has killed the Colorado/ lodge feel and atmosphere. I have been coming to the resort for about ten years and it has no charm with their updated ( all white) decor. Piled up trash outside lodges, saw racoons at night/ litter in the AM. Due to Covid, I didn t experience the best breakfast buffet I have ever had which is one of the two main reasons I stay at this resort, the other having been the charming rooms, which as another reviewer mentioned, looks like your typical motel, which is hitting the nail on the head.
