This is the first time EVER writing a bad review but this was such a disappointing experience. I can go in a ton of detail, but I m just going to get to the point. We requested some extra robes, they never brought them. We tried calling 3 times and they didn t answer. When we went to eat dinner.. people were leaving because they said they ordered food 45 minutes ago and the food still didn t come, and the waitress was super rude. We thought we would still try.. we didn t stay long, because when we asked about a table, the waitress was super rude and snappy. Then we went to the hot tub, realizing it was super cold, cloudy and disgustingly dirty. The pool was warmer then the hot tub. I wanted to go back because it is so beautiful, but it s soo not worth it. Please don t waste money and time, unless they decide to treat the customers better. It was so bad.... I hope they take this seriously. Especially the health hazard in the hot tub. I really hope the health department makes a visit...

Not a 4 star resort and certainly not worth the money. The rooms look like regular hotel rooms...although the bed was super comfy! I was shocked that at the price we paid breakfast was not included. This is an excellent hotel if you have dogs though. The main reason for the poor review is I specifically asked if there was an indoor pool when I booked and was told yes. Turns out its been down for a while.
This wonderful facility hosts our leadership training for Community Bible Study each November and April. The property is beautiful, the food is wonderful, the site and the view are spectacular. But the best feature is the service. The CMR folks are the friendliest and most accommodating you'll find anywhere.
Hotel is on amazing grounds with awesome views. They need major updating to rooms (very dated...Ac doesnt cool great and has thermostat from 1970s. Tiles in bathroom with rows of grout missing.
Service is okay. For the price you kind of want service like hyatt or westin and such.
The AC didn't work, the Internet didn't work. When we arrived it took every bit of 20 minutes to get a reservation. The floors creaked so terribly it woke up my kids. Called the front desk 2 times about different issues, neither were resolved. No offer to switch rooms. This is NOT a resort. The food is WAY over priced especially for the quality. The other reviews are very valid. This place is not in the mountains and the pictures are better then property itself. I slept in my truck, we canceled the other nights we had reserved. I travel all over the place and I can honestly say this was the worst stay I have ever had in a hotel
It has been remodeled and I like it! The service is good. They checked several of my group out early. The Reservation End Dates had changed for some reason. Thought that was a bit annoying I love the scenery, amenities and staff. Will come back.
The staff did not mention the indoor pool was damaged at the time of booking, after i specifically asked if they had an indoor pool, i was told yes, so I booked for three days. Once checked in, we got to the room and i noticed it had an adjoining door to access into another room. The occupant in that room had a dog who barked all night long and my kids could not sleep because they could hear the other people's voices, dog and noises. Not very quiet. I booked this as a getaway but seeing as it was not relaxing at all, i checked out the next morning and gave the staff my reasons, which were met with disregard and a hefty early check out charge.... never again....
We went there for New Years Eve night and day. The room we stayed in was nice and clean and had a nice view from our balcony. We had made reservations to go to the New Years Eve Dinner which was very unsatisfactory. The food was over done and tough to eat. Not at lot of flavor in the food either. We expected to have a amazing buffet for that occasion and good quality food for the price they charged. The next day we did the brunch and were still dissatisfied with the food selection and the quality of food. Con - food in the restaurant.
Amazing views and really nice resort...restaurant is way over priced although the food wasnt bad. Just nit worth what they are asking. 40.00 for a buffet that isn't that big is not ok...other than that it was great
Would not stay there again with a large conference. The main restaurant was closed and only conference members could use it. In addition the hotel was run down although sill great service.
I am currently staying here and I have had one of the worst experiences for a resort. First I got here and all night I heard baby crying and dogs barking. After complaining I was told I d get a different room in a different building and to pack everything to move. After doing so I came back just to be told my room was given to someone else and I was moved back into the same building. After complaining more to the manager I booked a reservation at a restaurant. Also I HAD to speak to the manager cause I was on hold for over a hour. Then getting to the restaurant they told me it wasn t on the list. I am a PLATINUM member and was treated like this. After this whole experience I m extremely disappointed and would not recommend.
We've come every year the last few years. Great in both summer and winter for a short getaway. The kids have a lot of fun at the poolside and beach. Poolside coctail service is a nice plus, and the s'mores bar is always a hit.
We have stayed here a few times and generally had good experiences, The last time we stayed we had a few issues. First was the hallway of the room we stay in had a very heavy pot smell. Second , their was a fight in a neighboring room and we complained. The security was sent but after a little more time the fight started back up and nothing was done. Lastly the golf club has been very rude to not only me and my wife but our children also, this happened on the last two times we stayed here. We addressed all these issues to the management and very little was done.
I loved this Resort. The kids and us had a blast. I had a 8 year old 3 year old and a 2 year old. They all where very happy. The room where in the smaller side. A 20 something resort fee per day. The restaurant is expensive but really good. The people there are very nice. No microwave in the rooms. The indoor pool is not open until mid Nov 2018. All the boats that are not tied up are free to guests except the ones that are tied up there is a fee around 20 dollars. Very happy with our stay. The views are breathtaking
The brunch was absolutely amazing. The service was fantastic and I highly recommend it. Next time I'm in Colorado Springs, I'll stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. The room service was a bit disappointing, but the front desk refunded the orders that weren't right. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.
Ordered room service for my small daughter and I at 545.. It's 745 now..We ordered a kids Mac and cheese and a quesadilla. Ridiculous. 63 dollars later..not to mention there's no indoor pool, you have to take a shuttle to the aquatics facility, the Wi-Fi is useless, TV's have absolutely no channels but you can spend a nice $20 to view a movie... I will not be coming back
Everything was very nice the rooms n service was good the restaurants and pools the only reason I gave it 3 stars was because the booking agent was very rude n just cancelled everything because I was two months away from being 21 and we called ahead to see if that would be a problem and we were told it wouldn't be a problem she didn't listen and didn't care so we left n came back talked to a different lady n right away she talk to Steve n he just told us we wouldn't be able to get alcohol but other then that everything else would be normal except we didn't get the king room we wanted sense the rude lady just canceled the room don't have her name but even after Steve explained everything she asked if our card would even be able to pay the amount just straight up mean don't know why she works there everyone else was very helpful and nice but it was pur honeymoon and that lady really ruined the first day for us
Room was not cleaned daily. The bathroom ceiling leaked and was disgusting. Room door was propped open by staff and left vulnerable all afternoon. Very disappointed with the overall experience.
Nice, but definitely not what you would expect from a resort, especially for the price. Our beds were comfy, but our room was not very clean. There was urine on the toilet seat and I saw an ant on the floor (a big black one!). The breakfast buffet was good, but lunch and dinner, not so much. For a buffet, there wasn't much selection and it was food that you wouldn' t normally eat, so we didn't care much for it (ex: chicken in a mango sauce). There was no selection that a young child would eat. The wait staff were rude and several times, I ended up filling up my own drink because I got tired of waiting. The country club is next door, which I guess the guest of the resort have access to, but I was never told this, and therefore, we wasted a whole day when we could have been enjoying their ammenities too (they have way more than the resort!) All in all, I wouldn't recommend this resort.
The hotel and restaurants were very nice. We were booked in a room with only one bed and they were able to switch us to a different room for no charge.
Just ok. So stayed there on august 23rd. So rooms were nice...but they have nice. . Couldnt walk barefoot on patio/deck or leave door open at night :/. Had a good pool and hot tub. Just very disappointed about mice in property.n..
Loved the grounds and facilities. The Aquatic Center, with its lap pool, play area, private lake, kayaks and SUPs was amazing. The Fitness Center was also top-notch with new equipment and a hot tub and steam room inside the locker room. We weren't able to use the driving range because we didn't meet the dress code (my son did not have a collared shirt), but the range and course looked very nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the rooms could use a little upgrading. They were clean and comfortable, but nothing special, and the air conditioning unit was very loud. Otherwise, we had a great stay.
They provided a great venue for my prom. They had integrated modern technology into the experience which we all greatly appreciated. The only thing left to be desired was better food. Otherwise it was fantastic.
Stayed here a on a weekday trip with my parents. The suites were not the most luxurious. When we arrived there was a spill that we decided to just clean up ourselves after our long road trip we didn t feel like making a big deal out of it. Microwave is not provided. Mini fridges are not quality, you re better off leaving your food outside rather than in the fridge. You get charged a $50 deposit EACH night you are here. What we did like, were the amenities. Hot tub and sauna in the rev center and the VIEWS from our suite were amazing. Location is close to a shopping center and tourist attractions.
Worst hotel I've stayed in! Claim to be 3 diamond but felt like motel 6. Could hear people walking in room above me, TV didn't work and they couldn't fix it. Wireless internet kept dropping. Staff was nice but this property is highly overrated. Will never stay again.
Great prices and the amenities are amazing. Check out their website the description is accurate. The spa is so amazing and the rooms have comfortable beds.
Ine of the best places I've been to in a long time. Spa is amazing . Food is great. Rooms could use a little updating we had a leak from the air conditioner but other than that amazing .
This was a very nice resort. It was not busy enough however for them to open the breakfast buffet. I understand, but we would have gone somewhere else, had we known before sitting down. The food from the menu was delicious, although more then The room was clean, and smelled fantastic. I imagine during their busy season, the resort is jumping and packed, but when we were there, end of January, it seemed very empty.
Just spent 4 nights in a King Room. I was informed the rooms were remodeled. Room 303 had new carpet and paint but the furniture and fixtures haven't changed. Room was not very clean. Had dinner $184.00 at the Elevation ( Will Rodgers ) bar. One of the worst meals I and my guest has ever had. Would not recommend this hotel for rooms, food or community event.
Upon arriving and seeing this place we were amazed at the views and how awesome it would look for our pictures. That is about all I can say positive about this place. The planning part wasn't horrible but when you send a email and need an answer it is frustrating when it take two+ weeks and then you have to reach out again just to make sure they respond. Our guests had a number of issues with their rooms from rat feces on balconies, dirty showers, non-working irons (almost every room) non-working AC, door locks malfunctioning and overall dissatisfaction for the price. The promised "Executive Suite" was a normal room with a couch that wasn't even mountain facing. It was also not even ready before a 5 o'clock ceremony. As the groom, I needed a nice room to get ready in and they failed at that. We did get conference room with a few mirrors. The bridal suite had temperatures well into the 80's which caused makeup and hair to have to be redone more than once. Then came the pictures. We were promised a bus to take you around the resort so we were not forced to walk up hills and around the resort. We requested a bus numerous times with none showing up. Bridal party was forced to walk down to the golf course on their own. When bus was called to take them back, it again was a no show. This caused us to be backed up 15-20 minutes. After the ceremony the bus was once again needed to take full party pictures. We waited for 20 minutes for the driver who conveniently left. Again, forcing us behind on the schedule. They then badgered us that we were behind.
While finishing up pictures, the head catering manager began yelling at guests and getting into peoples faces about "his food" and "his show" getting messed up. If this wasn't bad enough, when we arrived back for the reception, the room was again in the 80's and very uncomfortable. We were told the AC was on full and there was nothing they could do about it. During the dinner, our photographers overheard the servers bad mouthing guests blatantly. When superiors were made aware of it, they seemed appalled but took no action.
While checking out, we asked who we should speak to to resolve the issues and were given the card of the managing director. He refused to respond to any email and passed it along. The manager that did respond then blamed the elderly mother of the bride and bridal party for walking and not waiting on the buses that never showed up. He also defended his servers and said they did nothing wrong. It has been three weeks with no resolution from them.
This is the last thing I thought I would have to deal with from a "RESORT". It was quite embarrassing when our guests described the condition of rooms, and for most people who traveled 1,000+ with us from Chicago, it was a complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. The views can be found elsewhere for the same money. Find a venue that wants to make sure they go above and beyond. All our other vendors in Colorado were wonderful. We in fact loved every aspect of our wedding that was not controlled by Cheyenne Mountain Resort.
Great view of Cheyenne Mountain from the balcony. Pleasant resort with well managed grounds. Pool facilities are wonderful with places for young ones to play as well as adult only areas. Standard two queen bed rooms are showing their age, but it was clean. A bit pricey compared to similar rooms at Holiday Inn Express or Residence Inn.
