Good value for money. The only thing that I found ...
Good value for money. The only thing that I found difficult was some of the rides are not easy to get on and off as my husband and I disabled

We have come so many times. Great helpful staff and we are going again next week. Never let us down. Well organised. Thank you
My daughter did the junior zookeeper experience today and literally loved it! Would 100% recommend!
So much to see and do you definitely need a full day there. Everyone was friendly and helpful, would recommend park to anyone.
very busy place...a bit overcrowded with long queues for rides. but that what you'd expect at a theme park. booked tickets online included refill drinks all day and fried chicken and chips meal deal. kids really enjoyed themselves, scorpion express, safari ride and little bus ride very enjoyable. didn't get to see all the park.
The animals that could be seen were varied but a map on arrival or more staff around to ask for directions would be helpful.
Decent theme park located close to London. A good selection of rides aimed at the family market. I would recommend looking to get an annual pass as this saves a lot of money long term as day tickets are very expensive. The park needs a new rollercoaster to broaden the range of rides offered and to keep it competitive with other parks like Paultons Park in Hampshire.
Its OK. It has been over taken by the other theme parks with bigger rides. But overall an OK place to go if you live within the area. Best to get special offer tickets to get a good discount and beware that price for food would be increased.
Better in October than in the summer when you wait far too long to get on the rides. That said, loads of fun
All my kids ranging from twin 12 yr olds to a 8 and 4 year old all love going as much as we can love the new room on a broom attraction
Badly signposted. Queues outrageously long without any update inbetween. Rides weren't worth the wait. The tomb blaster was a joke. Food quality terrible. All junk food.
If you have young kids who like the Gruffalo, Room on a broom etc then they have it all. Great day out with the little ones who enjoyed every minute from Lions to rides to fish to duck fishing games. If you have a craving for meat the the Smokehouse BBQ is the place to cure the crave
First social distance outing with the kids. Was a success. We'll go again.
Lovely place, full of entertainment we spend two days so explore the whole park and zoo... Will definitely recommend
Same as Thorpe Park but for younger children, they love it.
The Theme park is fantastic, and some lovely animals in the zoo area, my 7 and 9 year old daughter's went on all the rides. We used the Chessington world of adventures app to check the up to minute queue times and this ment we could choose the rides with rhe shorter lines. The staff are all very happy and polite. We all enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend to others
Limited opening day (small handful of rides in operation), but crowds and queues were of a good size to ensure reasonable waiting times.
Brilliant day out for both little and big kids there is a ride for everyone. Fantastic staff. Great place to make memories.
No cleaning on alot of the rides which is not good at the moment with all that's going on !!!!!!!
Great attractions but the resort hotel is badly managed.
We stayed overnight at the Safari Hotel and absolutely loved it!
The room was really clean and perfectly equipped for a night away. Towels and toiletries provided as well as tea and coffee provisions to set you up for the day!
It's lovely that the children have their own area (TV included!) and allows for some much needed space to gather energy without having to compromise on what to watch! It was also incredibly well sound proofed. We didn't hear a single noise from other guests throughout the stay and just loved having the private base on hand after we checked in on Day 1.
The view was wonderful. We could see the zebras, ostriches and other animals wandering around the fields in front and it was just lovely.
The Resort staff were friendly, incredibly helpful and polite throughout. The Zafari Bar and Grill really hit the spot. Really easy to order and pay online at the table and social distancing measures were in place at all times. I don't think I saw any staff without a face mask throughout the resort and within Chessington World of Adventures itself which was really comforting.
Queue times were still long without the fast track passes. I know this is to be expected but not everyone stays apart in spite of continual reminders from Chessington (including televised information about social distancing in queues) so that was a little frustrating but nothing to do with a lack of trying on Chessington's behalf. As you enter everyone has a temperature check and there are sanitiser stations everywhere. Staff also regularly sanitised rides and I saw people cleaning within other areas of the park as well. The staff worked tirelessly and were so friendly attentive and upbeat.
We can't wait to visit again and are very tempted to stay longer next time!
Nice day out with the family. All good and plenty to see. There are some downfalls (like any other place of similar nature) fast food shops need to speed up a bit. Waiting time (it was 90 min) didn't match the reality (2h, but I gave up waiting). Very impressed with the staff which kept to their guidelines. Good work.
Excellent. It's been 20 yrs or so since I last visited and it still draws the crowds. Good choice on rides and my 10 yr old loved it.
Ridiculously expensive. Massive queue' s even for toddler rides. A bit of a con. The fast track system simply slows everything up for everyone one.
Autism mum experience! I visited Chessington on Sunday before bank holiday, which I thought on my way there was a very bad idea when going on a day out with your autistic son and a baby! We got tickets through Merlin's magic wand charity, More
Just been to chessington hubby uses a wheelchair so we hired one we were there 5 and 1/2 hours and had to change the wheelchair 3 times and it kept breaking down but security guard sierra 17 was amazing he went above and beyond
Prob best appreciated in Summer. We went for the Santa's grotto. Despite having a time, that is just when you can join the queue which then takes ages.
Weather too miserable to fully enjoy the animals. I'm a pretty fair weather person though. I wouldn't recommend the Santa's grotto unless you have older, patient kids
Hotel was amazing and the park was good fun, loved the animals
Lovely day out with the kids and they really enjoyed it but the animals look like they don't want to be there and look unkempt
A lovely place to visit with your young children, but tiring. There are always queues to get in and queues to get out, so expect these. The zoo part of Chessington World of Adventures stays open pretty much all year. Be aware of height restrictions on some of the rides, which might affect very young or small children, although these are well referenced on the Chessington website. Facepainting is expensive but hey, what are you gonna do?
Was not to busy when we went. Staff always eager to help
The customer service we received varied throughout the park with the majority of responses unhelpful and rude and a general feel that there was no organisation amongst the staff, all of which looked around 19 or under.
A lot of the basics were missed,
It was not in a fit state to Walk on so make sure you bring your wellies for the walk in.
Too many ticket pre-bookings made it impossible to socially distance in many areas. Ride queues around the 70-90m mark (and no fast track available). Turned out to be an expensive zoo visit and didn't go on any rides. Staff were very well prepared and helpful but this is undone by overzeolous ticket sales. They have to find a better way or reduce numbers for it to be workable.
Great place to go, does get really busy and food and drinks are expensive.
Great gift shops.
Great zoo variety of animals.
Grufflo ride is excellent but is loud so any children with sensory issues should take their headphones.
My son has ASD he was fine but find the shooting ride overwhelming and loud (Tomb blast)
Would have been more stars as the park itself is great, but with nearly an hour to get out of the car park at 8pm (Vulture car park) it's made me think twice about returning now. If that was typical of a normal day, I don't think I would go back - it's the last thing you need with a whingey, tired children in the car. Shame as there is more to do than you can fit into a single day.
Loved it, perfect day out, the sun was out, it wasnt to packed.. looking forward to going back again
Not the best theme park. Travelled down from the midlands, Drayton manor and Alton towers are much better for kids, with more to do and better rides
We had 2 adults & 3 grandchildren aged 4 & 5. All were under 1.1 m
This is way too expenisive, because they cannot go on most of the rides.
The ones they could go on, were many for 2 people so impossible for us to go on has a family, meaning we had to queue 3 times for 1 ride.
Some of the bigger rides out of order and Ramses revenge gone. Shorter hours due to covid and only 40 per cent off instead of 2 for 1 so not great value for money at this time..saying that my teens still enjoyed the day out after lockdown.
Excellent day out. Christmas themed with a great Gruffalo show. Staff were friendly and experienced.
Some cool rides but avoid on school hols, best for pre-teen kids but not toddlers. Always wash your hands after each ride, best to take some anti-bacterial hand gel with you as kids tend to get clammy, cold sweat hands gripping the hand bars during rides. Kobra ride in Wild Asia is probably the best ride but be prepared for 45 min queues. Nearest train station is Chessington South on South Western Railways.
Really fun day out, but kinda difficult to find certain attractions, the signs aren't that helpful.
It was a nice day, weather made it . Broke down on the Gruffalo ride and was sat half hour pi sd wet through, but got a free ride pass out of it. Apparently some T it lost their Primark sunglasses, so the ride was stopped!
Queues were up to two hours long and for the re fillable drinks. It's 7.15 and we are still sat in the car park as it's grid locked.
Kids loved it. Most of the rides were open apart from play areas due to covid. Me and the wife had a great time too on the bigger rides. Well worth it.
Due to the pure fact that the f the price of the place I'm rating it a 1. Food well over priced, staff paid minimum wage. Massage with e times.
Not emo ght measures in place for covid. Needs to be checked by health and safety.
We booked a two day stay here through their website and it was very good value for us and our two young children. We stayed in a hotel about 20-30 minutes away which massively reduced the total price compared to staying in the resort hotel. Our 3.5 year old loved all the Julia Donaldson attractions, particularly the Room on the Broom which we had to do 3-4 times over the weekend. Gruffalo River Ride was also good - very reminiscent of the animated film more than the book.
It's quite a big site so be prepared for some walking. It took a little while for us to get used to the layout, as the maps were a bit tricky to relate to reality. The car park was also a bit of a mud bath.
Been twice in last couple of weeks one very hot day one very wet day both enjoyable animals great get on alot more rides in the rain average waiting time for rides 5 to 10 minutes in the rain
Great day out. Lots to do. Lots of fun to be had for all.
We went as a birthday treat for my 6 year old daughter and she really enjoyed herself. It was a fantastic day but if you have young ones make sure they are over 1.2m tall as there is so much more available ... we will be returning when my little girl is 8cm taller as she has her heart set on riding the log flume (that was out of order when we visited anyway)
Went in January to the zoo and sea life centre and had a great experience with our 1 year old. The park is much quieter but perfect time of year to walk around and see all the animals.
A magical day of rides, food and activities. The app is quite clear with somewhat realistic queue times (although it was once off by 40 minutes). Although the park itself is not too crowded, the queues are very long, especially on weekends and school holidays. I recommend going early in the morning to go on Dragon's fury and Tiger Rock. After that, head around the lands clockwise to reduce queues as much as possible. Hope this helps :)
Great day out for the kids altho queue times were over 60 mins at most times
We went on the Sunday of a wonderfully warm Bank Holiday, possibly a mistake due to the number of people who had the same idea but I think still well worth it.
Of all the Merlin attractions Chessington is definitely my favourite as even if you don't like rides there's the animals and aquarium.
A new ride gets you very up close to some of the animals including some rhinos. Thumbs up from me only reason for a 4 star is due to the crowds when we went.
Not a bad day out; especially for kids. Can't help but feel underwhelmed by the place and experience though.
Good little zoo there but very lacking in rides.
We travelled from Lowestoft and I personally did not think it was worth the journey.
It was soooooo busy it was very unpleasant. Mega queues. Most rides closed. Too many people not wearing masks. Wont return anytime soon due to too many people and pandemic unfriendly. Unsafe. Rides were desinfected but felt bit anxious due to covid 19. People in line were way too close had to leave the queue as not safe. Still fun but way too busy and many rides closed.
Very disappointing, first visit for a few years and extremely poor value for money. Poor/non existent signage and rutted dirt track to and from car park. Sea life centre looked temporary when it was built but still needs expanding to be a proper attraction - and more fish. Most animals gone or hidden away down a long track by the hotel. Not what is was
We love it here. Visited so many times. Never disappoints. Stayed at the hotel a couple of times and they are great. Always clean and set up lovely
It's a really fun place for your family to have fun and go on cool rides.
It's a lovely place to bring your kids, given they are at least 1.4 meters tall, as all the fun rides require the kids to be at least 1.2. Other then that, Great experience over all... sure its not Disney land or six flags. But in the UK, it's the best you can have.
A fantastic family place. Went for a birthday treat with my grandson who loves zoo&animals&my granddaughter that loves theme parks&rides. So the best of both worlds. I had a vip experience with the capybara & had an amazing time. My grandson was trading pop badges with the staff&everyone seemed so happy to help. Thank you Chessington for the best day
A little disappointed as some rides were shut most of these were aimed at my 4 year old so the poor little one had to sit and watch alot of the day..... to be honest it didn't bring back that magic I had when I was a kid when I visited there..... I wouldn't go back
Allot of fun but make time for queuing as waits are 75mins +
It's a beautiful experience at Chessington world of adventure, this the only park will kiddies zoo and a zufari of 15 mins. They have amusement from 1 year old to any age and the rides are fun not scary as compared to any other park.
To be honest I ve been going here in total 35 times and it s GREAT more than half my life I ve been happily going with family to this park best rides are
Rattle snake
Dragons fury
Kobra
Vampire
Scorpion express
Tiger rock
Gruffalo river ride adventure
Thx peace BTW I m 9
Kids loved it and it was nice weather as well whilst we were there the waiting times for rides were quite long but other than that i would definitely go again
Short que Times! Helpful kind staff! Amazing food! Amazing rides for all ages! Had so much fun with my friends!
It was great, but way to busy in the holidays. 1-2 hour waits for the big rides....
I think I have been to this park more than 10 times. Always good.
Rained on the day but still a fun time out with the kids with a small zoo included. Wait tine for rides I believe were over estimated which is good.
Great Park and hotel. Plenty to do for children above 90cm. Evening entertainment and got to see the Gruffalo. Sea life and the zoo is great for kids, they loved it. Good mid week offers makes it more affordable to stay.
This place Is worth the money the fast tracks
just put more time on the queue the best ride there is rubbish
Took my 4 year old son has here for the weekend. Loved it, especially the gruffallo theme park
Went there and 2 rides broke down absolutely terrible
Very fun feme park. Luved the Arrow Suspended Swinging Coaster, Vampire, and the Zoofari Ride Into Africa.
To our surprise there were very few animals. Most of the farms were empty.
Chessington world of queuing!
Queue for everything. Any decent rides have a queue time of 60 - 120 minutes. Toilets have a queue. Even to get an ice cream took 20 minutes of queuing.
Funny thing is it wasn't even during the school holidays.
I was instructed to park in a wet grass field by a member of car park staff, my car sank in and had to be towed out. Many of the staff like the one that landed my car in quick sand, are young and very inexperienced.
It took almost an hour just to get out of the car park.
My kids liked it so it made all the negatives bearable.
Just remember, expect to queue, and be prepared to pay premium for everything. Try not to get parked in a field.
Intact most theme parks are like this anyway.
