Had a great day out. Pity its so big I couldn't get to everything in one day. Plan to go again soon.

The park is great, but be very cautious if you buy any annual pass. The entrance dates on off peak passes are very limited and closure dates are not simply listed in one place, there are in several places and their terms and conditions don't tell you where to look . So if like me, you check the terms and conditions and their valid dates and then find after your purchase there is a long list of other dates your pass isn't valid for then you wont get a refund even if the pass hasn't been collected. Even if their own customer services staff in the "Hub" in the park say to buy a new peak pass and then request a refund for the other pass by calling customer services, please don't do it as they then say "We don't do refunds". BUYERS BEWARE! Had to resort to trading standards to solve
Great day out and not expensive to eat there...recommend fast passes though
It was too busy. Had to wait for about 75 or 90 minutes for some rides.
Good day, not too busy, longest queue was zoofari.
Pizza buffet was good.
Yes its expensive for a day out, but comparable to other places maybe not that bad. Best advice - if you you are going with kids go when they have an inset day. Hardly queued for anything. I think they could do with adding more benches around the rides so dads can sit down and recover whilst the fun continues.
My family and I had a brilliant day at Chessington world of adventures. We absolutely loved looking at all the animals. The giraffe sneak peek was a big highlight for us and we loved being so close to the lions and tigers especially at feeding time! The monkeys were super cute and one even posed with his head on the side when he see my phone! All staff were super helpful and friendly. There's lots of places to eat and a Costa takeaway.
It was ok. A few rides were closed. The app waiting times were completely different to the waiting times stated on the rides
Having fun with my friend. It is a good place to spend time with Friend and family.Very enjoy to stay there.Remember to buy your ticket online. It is cheaper than buy it in there
Combination of thrill rides and the a pleasant walk to visit the animals.
The place is run by kids, customer service is poor even if the staff are polite enough it is just not good enough for the money you pay. The place is clean but trying to get food or drink is far too hard. And the fast pass here is a rip off. Once you are in the park be prepared for spending a lot of money. It was so hard to just get a coffee, queued up for 10 minutes to get a coffee only to be told the machine was broken, in two different places. Will not be coming back again anytime soon.
We always have fun here... great way to spend the day!
Fun place for couples, friends, families to spend a day. Unique as is half zoo and half them park. Loads of places to pick up drinks and bites, as well as lots of toys and souveniers.
Very good. Great day with our Merlin passes. Will go again soon
Epic had the most amazing day great for our kids both very young having a zoo as well as an aquarium also all the fantastic rides for kids of all ages will have a great day
Very disappointed with lack of suitable rides for my 11 year old disabled cousin, who has gone on many rides before. Also, he couldn t even go swimming as it was all booked out. The staff did nothing to compensate for the lack of disabled friendly options . I do not recommend Chessington for disabled children!
Kids enjoyed it but a bit too busy, queued a long long time
We had a great day out here. The rides are starting to get dated but are still exciting. It's a great way to build up confidence before taking kids to Alton Towers.
Really nice atmosphere and very helpful staff. If not been and have children, then go there.
First visit to chessington and it's not that great. The animal themed room is a bit dated due to wear and tear (massive coffee stain on floor, previously there. Which I cleaned to avoid my kids stepping in it.) The room could have been More
A wonderful and amazing day out, good rides and fun side booths of mini games...won a sea horse. Spent around six hours here and got on a lot of rides, food looks nice but also had grass land for picnics. Went here with my girl, who I love and who is brilliant. So yes please come and enjoy, very kid friendly and has a sea life and zoo too. Thank you for listening.
P.S. cheaper to book online at least 24 hours before hand. If you come by train come here via Chessington south and its only a ten minute walk.
Great place to have fun with all the family for a great day out!
Kids loved it. So much to do...... Hotel was great too.
Where to begin.. The park appears to now be run by teenagers who for the most part are in desperate need of some customer service training. The parks general appearance seems to be in decline and could do with some real tlc in quite a few areas. The food on offer is pretty poor in this day and age and all buildings could do with a deep clean. We ate in the all you can eat pizza place as this appeared to have the best reviews.. the pizza was mediocre at best, but whilst dining we witnessed a child projectile vomiting over the floor at the entrance till, the staff just kept letting people in and shuffling them around the mound of sick, outside two more children were throwing up, both piles were still there the following morning! Not acceptable! The rides are still great fun for the most part, but could you ease up on the Tesco adverts in the queues! I've paid a lot of money to get in, why do I have to listen to the same advert 50 times while I'm queuing?!. Rides are good, food is bad, staff are badly trained and most don't appear they even want to be there. This coupled with a less than ideal experience at the hotel mean I won't be returning. Oh and the spooky cave experience, really well done but not for anyone under at least 14 I'd say, not the recommended 10.
It's a bit dated now. Needs some new stuff nothing changed in the 5 years since we was last here!! Still a good day out. But get some new stuff!!!!
Great place, but could really be improved with toilets placed at midpoint of longer queues.
Fantastic day out for all the family, but the food is very expensive, so take your own
Some rides closed, vampire only had one car running leading to long queues. Still the kids had fun.
A lovely theme park very busy queue times hour plus for most rides.
good family fun day out..
if only their animals would be more visible and the queue was never 30 to 40mins wait per ride.
the food variety needs to be here too..
Best theme park! The rides are great and theres lots to do!
Brilliant however didn't like the fast track, should be all one price.
Great day out. Rained quite a lot but you get a chance to go back if it's a rainy day. We got there when the park opened and I am want busy but soon filled up. We bought the express passes which came in useful by 12pm when the queues started building.
Good for the kids and adults. Discounts available on line. Food on site. Toilets on site. Go on dry day. Usual long queues for popular rides. Parking is a complete disgrace. Have to park in a field with atrocious roads full of potholes. Parking expensive, not free.
Absolutely loved it! Went with my husband for 1 night and spent 2 days in the park! There was so much to do and loved the vampire rollercoaster!
Great day out and good value for money. Will write a more detailed review soon.
Gruffalo ride has to be the best thing ever
The rest of the park is a bit dated
But our under 5 loved the place
Will go back
Incredible day out. It's not all about roller coasters , but if it's rides you're after the queue is rarely more than 30 mins
They had to shut a car park so we ended up parking a mile away. Still had a fun day
Huge amusement park. Lots of different rides and activities. The sea life center is not big, but there are plenty of different sea creatures and star fish touching experience. Great zoo. Impressed with variety of animals, so there's something for everyone to be amazed with. Great for family day out and about. Recommended.
Long queues for each ride. Long queues for sandwiches and drinks. But good experience on the day despite the terrible downpour - luckily short-lived and didn't spoil the fun! Expensive entry charges would have been prohibitive, fortunately we had a voucher which reduced the cost.
Chessington is like what benbon brothers used to be like before it closed. All the rides are old, the whole place is thick with cobwebs. But the worst thing is the 16 year olds that are employed by the park to save money. There not in a rush to do anything . They stand around chatting while paying customers ate waiting to get on rides. So frustrating when your stood in a queue. Thorpe park is much better and only 20 minutes away.
Ideal resort for little families, Azteca hotel was wonderful... Not much to do with under 2s though
Great place to visit for a day out. Easily accessible for those with disabilities with wheelchairs available for hire. Inspired combination of rides and zoo.
Great day out with my grandson who loved all the animals. They had to close a bit early to batten down hatches and put the animals away due to the storm coming in.
Lines are too long and rides dont make up for this, overpriced everything, crowed, que jumpers not punished or noticed
We expected queues as it is the Easter holidays but out experience was not pleasant. My husband and daughter queued for over 2 hours 20 minutes for one ride. The staff appeared to be mostly students who despite their best intentions did seem totally inexperienced at keeping the crowds moving. They were very slow getting people on and off the rides. We discovered that most of the restaurants did not accept cash but were card only. There is a serious lack of seating for people who were not going on rides for whatever reason, myself included due to vertigo. Eurodisney deals with a higher volume of people and seems to run more smoothly.
Nice park. Bit limited in attractions for our 3 year old. We went for the combination of animals and rides but tigers and lions were not in their staying area and our little one was 2 centimeter short of being allowed to go on zufari. She was very disappointed with that
Done a Giraffe Safari here couple years ago; back then they really valued the atmosphere of the park - the whole experience.
I return and they seem to have cheaped out; by adding Julia Donaldson everywhere, very tacky in my opinion, also the quality of the staff leaves something to be desired. At least the uniform has improved not much else.
In summary, would be 4 stars for an average theme park. By goes down to three because this park is a mere husk of what once was. Gutted and disappointed.
Unfortunately we had storm Dennis, a lot of the Park was also closed. Difficult to give a fair rating.
Lovely place , a lot to live up to, myself being from Chester and the outstanding Zoo we have. But my wife, grandchildren and myself enjoyed the experience of another zoo, stayover great and food good. Maybe Chester could learn a thing or two by having an on site overnight hotel ,thankyou for a great day and stay.
Nice theme park for older kids, much smaller than Legoland. Parking is slightly expensive. Other attraction go ape is near by.
Parking good. Great atmosphere. Fine rides. Very family friendly. Zufari should be bigger with wider range of animals. Should provide stregically placed water fountains.
good with sisters ride pass, otherwise, not worth it unless it's autumn and dead, otherwise, long queues
Had a fantastic weekend with the family, social distance in question where taped out, staff where really friendly and done brilliant with making sure people kept their distance,
Would reccomend going and will definitely go back again.
Loads here. Please do the parakeet walk through. Only discovered on our third visit and it was the best!
Whilst it's beginning to show it's age in parts, the experience is so vast that there's plenty for everyone to see and do.
The theme park isn't as great for younger kids (my 5 year old was too short for many rides), but it has a very good range for older kids (and adults!).
The animal park is respectful to the animals - if they don't want to be seen, you won't see them - but has so many enclosures that there'll always be something on show. Some even get you up close (I recommend the safari ride for that).
I highly recommend booking a two day ticket, so nothing needs to be rushed. Local hotels are in good supply and don't overcharge, so staying over isn't too hard on the pocket.
So boring tiger not on show and to long await for all the rides will not be going back
Unfortunately this place isn't any good if you and your partner or friend are disabled. Even though I'm 44 and my wife is 38 we was not allowed on rides together unless we had someone aged 14 or over!!! Really Chessington not all disabled people are incapable of getting off ride's if stuck and having to climb down. Get with the time's and stop being petty!!! At least the birds wasn't unfriendly to disabled people.
Great theme park lots to see. Litte expensive though.
Visited there to have Covid test . Which was an adventure in itself.
Never go there on good weather especially long weekend- it s shambles! Chaos in and out of parking, long queues even for food- they run out normally before 2. Other than that the place is ok using merlin pass.
Was good fun, however little one was too little for most... So would recommend if your kids are 1.1m or above. Plus there was hardly any animals out in the zoo...
Well organised, they make wait times really clear both on screens and on the downloadable app (which is a great idea, works well, and everyone should get it). Lots of effort put in to the little things, I'm giving full marks.
Great family day out. Parking and queue times spoil the day though
They need to pay more attention to queue management. We queued for over an hour for log flume and saw about 20 empty boats go past and many more part loaded. In addition the fast passes go on almost immediately on all rides meaning the More
Been coming for 30 years and love the place. If you prefer big rides then Thorpe park is your better option but personally I prefer this for families with children under 10. It s expensive day out but worth it.
Had some issues with the park but staff have addressed
Ok for younger kids. Had a lovely day though. Hotel is amazing though
Brilliant place was fun but the token that was collected from a packet they said was able to use on that day which wasn't written on the token..
So once your there with 3 children you can't just leave..
Nice place to visit lots to do for all ages very friendly people and lots of great shops for sweets and toys too had a very enjoyable day
I love this place and visit several times a year, great place to visit with family or friends.
Really fun rides and fun place to be at however Thorpe Park could be having better rides whereas kids will enjoy Chessington
Untrained staff, some don't even know where the rides are located within the park. Most staff we interacted with were not friendly so definitely need some customer relations training. The rides are good especially for kids but waiting times are ridiculous. From 10am to 5pm we were only able to get on 4 rides only. The park is really inefficient and not worth the wait and money. Will never go back.
Amazing great for kids . Loads to do. Recommend. You will stay all day!
After reading lots of contradicting reviews I was very hesitant to go and I didn t raise up my expectations a lot however, our experience turned out to be great, we had amazing time at the park, we were able to go on 7 rides of our choice and have a tour around the zoo on a weekend day! Social distance and measurements were fine like everywhere in UK it s your mission to avoid crowds as possible and wear face mask!
Had a great time. I'm bit a 'big' ride person and enjoyed the mixture of rides and animals
Ignored on entry, young lad too buzy chatting, not offered maps or explained about drinks etc. Then qued 20 mins in heat to be told grandaughter was too small for the ride! Confusing signs...not a great experience
Everything was a good. But just this issue. the long wait for each ride was way to long since I last came here like 6 years ago. Had to wait just under 3 hours to get on the Vampire ride. Also no option in any of the food places for me as I More
Still as good as I remembered as a child, but feel Alton Towers is slightly better for all ages, especially since cbeebies land opened.
