God day out but get fast track or you will be lined up for ages and the rides don't last more than 3 minutes. Very disappointed and that's the view of 10 of us, and the place and staff are very disorganized we found. But take the right company with you and will make it a better day. We was bored by 2pm.

Over crowded despite being a week day. Long queues for rides, which are not many. Closes too early in summer at 5, why?

Why do they have the barrier to collect car park charges at the end causing enormous queues? It is fairly simple to collect that as the vehicles enter the car park... it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

My partner and I went to chessington twice in 3 weeks and I have to say both times we were impressed with all the covid safety measures. They are quick and very friendly. The rides were awesome sure the queue times could take an 1 hour but we enjoyed both our days out throughly. The aquarium was small but I still enjoyed. Didn't get to see the animals as not enough time in the day to do everything.

Unfortunately, no matter how well chessington tried to implement social distancing unfortunately some people just wouldn't especially in queues. Even with the yellow paw prints to show 2 metre rule. We constantly had people breathing down our necks which is not an exaggeration and kids not being controlled and trying to push past us in the line. Which also leads me on the main topic of why I'm not giving 5 stars. As much as chessington do do a great great job with everything, I really wish they would clamp down on queue jumpers more, especially with the vampire. With queues times reaching over 100mins it's really frustrating for people in the queue to watch people sneak in or have someone who is further along the queue hold spaces for people.

We had 2 incidents with the vampire of queue jumping on our 2nd trip. The 1st one was really bad as the queue was 95 mins long and this dad and 2 girls decided that they would join the mum who was near the front of the queue so everyone grumbled but didn't say anything. The queue moved for a bit then stopped for 20mins. Then over the tannoy it was reported that the queue jumpers had been told on and that there had been an incident that had taken the vampire staff 20mins to remove them so there was justice there which was good.

However when we went for another go for the vampire later on there was another incident with queue jumping which happened right infront of us. So I took a stand and said no it's queue jumping and that the last people had tried got thrown off the ride which unfortunately led to the man getting very aggressive with my partner and I. To quote a couple things " you won't see next week boy" "bunch of kids with white privilege" etc etc stuff such us this for a whole 90mins which eventually brought my partner to tears. And also he wasn't social distancing on purpose and kept coming right up close and saying all these things to me. I really wish they had someone checking the queues so incidents like this don't happen again as it put a downer on the whole day. Or even if staff are stretched could chessington please put in the signs that they have for tiger rock and dragons fury about the definition of queue jumping as at least we would of been able to cite it to the aggressive man.

Overall chessington is a great place for a day out unfortunately some people just have to spoil it for the rest of us.

Great place for all ages but parking situation is ridiculous. So far to walk from car park to entrance when options nearer the entrance are blocked off? All terrain buggy for kids, good walking legs and plenty of time needed, but parking situation aside, I love the theme park itself and so do my kids and their kids.

Amazing place to be at this time of year. Only wished more rides were open to visitors and more activities for children staying at the Chessington safari hotel. Other than that, staff and services provided were top notch. The food was great. Rooms were clean and linens were fresh.Would definitely be visiting again.

Went with family mum dad brother and my at the time 5 month old.

What was nice is my little one could go on the gruffello ride which he really enjoyed and so did us grownups unfortunately on the second go round the ride stopped and we had to be rescued although I think that was a bit of a dramatic word but it made me smile although we couldn't use them they gave priority tickets for tomb blaster and another ride so friendly staff but one who was very abrupt "go up those stairs and someone will meet you". Next was toadies crazy cars little one loved it moving the wheel around but again the ride stopped before we entered the barn however the nice young man running it made me laugh as he told my little one he was driving to fast and we got to walk through the barn instead. The carousel is what is just smiles from tot. Hocus Pocus hall was also a nice little walk through for him.

Animals I'm not convinced that this is the best environment for them I think really you should have a theme park or a conservation zoo. And yes you will say a vet has approved and someone who has read a book has said it's okay but I'm not convinced one or the other I think it's too much noise especially the tiger flume what is all that about it wasn't working by the way when we were there.

Other rides vampire well it's alright after a long queue but really should upthe age or height on it because all rollercoasters cause mild concussion and vampire has a very dramatic speed up towards the end that if you not ready for can hurt.

Dragons fury was a good ride worth waiting for (1hour) held up only by some lady who was just complaining about something so the everything had to stop to let her rant. But I was impressed with the staff they handled that wonderfully.

Thing is it is it's not really a big park but the long queues make it seem like it is. I did enjoy the day out so did little one bit annoyed that my saving of lots of plastic bottles only got me one half price ticket code but yeah alot of money for what it is but I guess I would recommend it if you can get cheap tickets.oh and the map is horrendous I mean really and the app was no help either.

Two issues need to be addressed:
1. We ate in the Smoke House Lodge which was reasonably priced and included more than enough good sized portions of meat and sides. But while queuing to be served the smell from the trays was really awful and totally off putting and on picking 3 up; sticky and tacky. I did advise a member of staff and she immediately asked someone to bring me 3 clean ones (i just felt unable to put the cutlery down on the smelly trays and to be honest, the cutlery, although clean, didn't look it). Sadly, the young lady never did come back with clean trays. If she had, i would not be writing this.
Just made me wonder about the levels of hygiene employed and staff training.
That said; the food was really good and tasty.
And:
2. The animal enclosures are far too small.

However, loved the Gruffalo ride and the Room On The Broom Experience which were beautifully done!
We did go on a very very wet, cold day in February at a reduced half term price.
Worth doing!

I had an amazing day there, I got to be a carnivore keeper for the day and the staff were brilliant and attentive, they ensured I was comfortable with the whole experience. They knew the answers to all the questions I asked. And they seemed to genuinely care for the animals there, I would highly recommend them to anyone

Great day out.

Great day out.
Good variety of rides and friendly and helpful staff.
Could easily spend more than just the one day there and the Vampire ride is worth the visit on its own.
Highly recommended!

Now, it was a close call to rate this three stars, but the staff were friendly and handled the covid restrictions I think well. Does the park need a full facelift , yes, is it very dated, yes. Been coming here my whole life and now I only come for my small kids the rides are for them mostly, not for me but they're happy. Food selection is not good but nothing new in a theme park.but I think they are missing a trick with healthier food in today's new world. Like I said it's still a good day out but it needs a stronger mission statement for today's new world. We used the 50 percent off vouchers as I don't think it's worth the full price. And it's a 25min drive for us so its convenient, but I wouldn't drive too far for Chessington. Save that for paultons or Thorpe park.

Parking horrendous coming out. Rides there are dated and for any youngster under1.2m are stuffed for most rides. USA restrictions are so much fairer with there parks and updates are always going on with rides etc. Take the money and stuff everyone!!

Yes the queues were long, what exactly do people expect in the school holidays? If you go expecting not to queue for an hour plus for popular rides, you're very naive. Staff were perfectly fine.

If I wasn't an annual pass holder and paid full price, this would have been a 2 star review. Simply overpriced.

Absolutely hated it here. Every time we got to the front of the queue for a ride it would close for one reason or another and the staff were really bad at handling it. I understand that these things happen but they wouldn t tell anyone what was going on or an estimate as to how long we would have to wait. All staff were rude, even at food stalls and things.

Booked tickets for next weekend but need to make an amendment to the booking urgently. The number isn't taking any calls at all neither is Merlin ! The online form filled in and no response ! This is a joke and terrible service ! This is going to ruin our trip & my sons birthday !

This was our first ever visit to Chessington. This was a lovely family day unfortunately a little expensive with the food onsite but if we were able to spend longer here im sure it would have been worth it. We were nit able to go and see all attractions but we did see was great fun and no doubt we will return later this year possibly.

Love this place, take my kids here loads and we always have a good day, tons to do for young kids and a few bits for the adults to but definitely the theme park a little more for the young ones as opposed to Thorpe Park or Alton towers

Such a fantastic place to go for both children and adults. There's rides for everyone here and its massive, so it's difficult to run out of things to do. Storage lockers on the rides are super convenient and staff are very helpful. Always very well maintained and it just a bundle of fun. Atmosphere throughout is energetic and the time flies! Give it a try!

Just so many queues on a hot day! You may aswell pay for fast track as the money you spend to get in is wasted otherwise! Most rides today were 90mins wait! Also better to wait until your child is 1'4 as lots of rides need this height

Fun place for kids and family. A good collection of zoo animals to get the kids familiar with the wild life and also a good range of domesticated animal that kids can play with or feed them. The safari was good but you need to make sure the kids must be over 110cm height to be able to be allowed to the safari trip. Another lovely interactive attraction was the Gruffalo tour; pretty amazing and engaging for the little ones.

I used to love coming here as a young child, but since then the whole zoo, or not really a zoo anymore, has just been turned into a theme park, i see this happening with many zoos and i think its really sad because the animals just get pushed to the side and all the visitors spend the day on roller coasters, i think the tigers just spend there days pacing around, bored and just look a bit fed up, so if anyone wants to go to a zoo for animals, I wouldn t recommend going here, if anyone wants to go to a theme park, i would recommend here.

I Reccomend anyone to visit Chessington world. All rides were open when we visited but some stands and food stall area were closed which it didnt bother us. We visited when it was not very busy but we still had to wait for some time for some rides like gruffalo ride. As they stopped the rides for cleaning every half hour. Bring snacks and drinks with you alot places to sit and chill.

Had a good day, brought my friend and her daughter here for the first time and they enjoyed it. It's a darn shame the monorail has gone now though! I can't believe it! :( That's a bit of Sooty history (childhood memories showing my age!)

The queues are ridiculous, if you came an hour before it opens at 10 a.m. so you were there from opening time to closing time, you would only have 8 hours, the average waiting time for the main roads is 60 minutes, with a maximum of 90 More

This theme park is perfect for young children up to the age of 12. Beyond that age will depend on interest. No, I am not 12 but we got free tickets from Sun Savers superdays so we checked it out.

It's a combination of Theme Park and Zoo/Safari. It's got a heart-racing ride called Vampire where your feet are hanging whilst riding a roller coaster. There are also low height rides that children will not hesitate to ride. (See photo for list of rides).

There is a food stall in every area of the park so you don't have to worry about food. But if you want to save money, you can also bring your own packed food and drinks. There are picnic areas and tables where you can eat your own food.

For those who don't notice it, there is a water-refilling station just on the left side of the entrance and nowhere else. So if you are far from the entrance, you'll have to walk all the way or just buy a bottled water in vending machines which can be found in every section.

The zoo was nice too. Iy was my first time to see a real live gorilla, lion and tiger.

In general it was a pleasant and light fun day. No extreme rides to make you vomit or shake you to the bones.

Good first visit, as school holidays the ride times were mostly in excess of an hour so be prepared for that. They could really do with spending some of the profit on the drive way / parking situation as loads of pot holes in the gravel / mud track road leading up to the park.

Great park to go to for the pre teens and under 1.4m. Lots to do for all the family involved including Sealife and the zoo. Staff always welcoming and friendly. We visited the park one last time before Ramesis hits the shredder pile, am sad to see it go!

Well laid out, lots of nice touches like suncream dispensers, parasols to give shade in queing areas, tvs with cartoons on to try and keep the kids from getting bored while waiting, staff helpful, kind and patient. Would have been 5 stars if not for faulty arcade games that take the money but provide no enjoyment as they didn't work and also some rides did seem rather tierd, the site was well worth the visit and we would come again

Great fun here. Well layed out. ALL staff were very pleasant and helpful even when visibly stressed. Cannot believe some fellow humans attitudes to queuing can be so rude, but thats not the parks fault. My nearly 5 year old loved it, and it was a welcome lift for our family to go. Thankyou for a great day out!!! If anyone is on a budget here, there is a Premier Inn Chessington right outside.

We used to go very frequently, but tailed back as our children got older and it seemed to lose its magic (getting stuck on the sky rider train didn't help).

We went just before Halloween and it seems to have got its sparkle back (even though my children are now in their 20s).

Guest services for those with special needs are excellent which meant that we could all enjoy the day

Situated just off J9 of the M25, this is another place owned by the Merlin Group. I found it in need of a facelift. It does not have so many white knuckle rides other parks in the group have. You are better off getting an Annual Merlin Pass More

Been going here for years now. Went yesterday to see the new land of the Tigers. BIG mistake Chessington!!! Thought you were supposed to be a conservation and animal welfare organization. Lack of thought has gone into the relocation of the Tigers. They have been put in the middle of a busy area where all the attractions are and kids are running around screaming and there is loud music playing. Why they didn't put it on the land at the back of the hotel which would have been more suitable heaven knows!!! Upsetting if you are an animal lover!
