We took a 3-year-old and she thoroughly enjoyed her time. This park is definitely geared towards younger children, with very few rides requiring a height in excess of 1.2m (though there are a few).

The Gruffalo boat ride was a particular highlight.

It was just horrible experience from the beginning to the end, with many of the rides have well over one hour waiting times, with 37 centigrades, many families with old people and all of them with children and also is not a shade around to help when they are waiting, and is not social distance whatsoever anywhere inside the Park, absolutely disgusting.

Very clean Park, most staff were great and one was extra amazing so we gave him the star award thing so he could have a little attention to him. The food in Park was okay we went to the fish and chip bay and well let's just say it was disorganised and people had been waiting a while for their orders. The rides were all working and again just a couple of staff on the Scorpion express were messing around and making us wait while they talked and had to do the re lift of the bars 3 times. They thought it was funny we did not. Still a great day out and the children loved it. Would also recommend the Room on the broom interactive movie it was an extra cost but lots of fun.

Hadn't been for a good few years found it still the same in need of a good update the toilets weren't clean rides could do with a paint job to refresh queues in excess of 1.5 hours be way of social distance

The family bought my partner an experience where he got to meet and feed giraffe, sealions and gorillas. The whole thing seemed very rushed and as the sea lion and giraffe meetings took place behinds the scenes the family could not see him enjoying the experience nor take photos as a lasting reminder. There was no attempt for zoo staff to engage or even communicate with family- it was up to my partner to hastily text which enclosure he was heading to next. He did enjoy the experience very much, so thank you for this, however to be able to have the family around to share his enjoyment would have been better. He said the keepers were very knowledgeable about the sessions and the gorillas but seem to know very little about the giraffe. I do understand that the welfare of the animals comes first but I am sure all the animals are use to crowds and it would be nice if you could provide a viewing area for a limited number of people to accompany the person enjoying the experience.

Worth at least a visit, maybe a bit small for a whole day if the Rides's aren't open. Food was a real let down (fish and chips) but maybe that was because it was near the end of the day. Young children of primary school age will definately enjoy it.

Really good theme park for children with some good rides for the adrenaline junkies. Queues not too bad, with the exception of tiny trackers that ride for little ones should be dismantled. Loads of offers around to pay less, book in advance.

1h 20 To get in, a few sign posts to tell you where the rids are found our selfs wondering around most the time. 4 rides shut when we were in the que. 2h Ques for some rides. 1/2 the photos for rides were broken. Ride operators were not the happiest. I dont want to be a Karen but last week we were at fantasy island and it was run so well, chessington not good. (Theme Park enthusia) (hurd lost of people having digs at the place)

Taking a 4 year old boy who is just over one metre tall is not good when he can see rides he wants to go on but isn't able to access. The small children's rides should be totally separate from those aimed at older children and adults. They should just have an area for them where everything appropriate is confined in one space.
I found the directions and sign posts confusing. Having visited the zoo in the late 60s I thought it would have developed into something more exciting. Sadly not. Too sprawling. Poor directions. Depressed looking animals though we didn't see too many. Were there elephants, giraffes, chimpanzees?
Wouldn't visit again and we only live 3 miles away. Very disappointed.

Terribly ran rides breaking down one after another far to busy for the amount of rides and options available for some thing to do. I just felt unsafe all day. would not reccomend to anyone. Highly disapointed

Great theme park and zoo. We stayed in the zafari hotel. Nice spacious room over looking the animals. Word or warning - do not dine in the zafari restaurant- appalling service, staff unprofessional, not good value for money. There's a pub up the road which was better value for money. We were there for our sons birthday and the evening meal was not made special at all, which was very surprising given the place was full of kids. They also wouldn't change peas for beans on the kids meals, yet there were beans galore at breakfast, so not very accommodating for fussy kids to say the least! We made a formal complaint which was acknowledged whilst there but on complaining to the resort on our return home - not a single thing heard back!

It was good, we arrived about 10. There was a queue but it moved quickly as staff check temperatures of everyone and checked bags. I imagine after the incident at Thorpe Park that the searches will take slightly longer from today. Lots of signage about SocDist. in queues, also over speaker systems whilst queuing. Rides closed at 5, we got our ice cream at about that time then left just after when it closed! We took our own picnic-as usual. The burger place near Vampire was v popular. We got a slushie as it was hot. The kiosk lady used hand sanitizer between the previous customers and us. Lots of staff wearing either facemasks or facemasks and gloves. No major wait to leave the carpark, unlike last summer. We managed 8 rides, saw some of the safari animals too! Hand sanitizer at the entrance and exit of all rides, also before entering toilets. Lots of 'enhanced cleaning' staff wearing blue Hi-vis vests. Rides cleaned every 30mins and some partially full. It was a good day and the weather was fab!

Had a good fun day out at Chessington kids were only interested in the rides didn't won't to go to the zoo only down fall the waiting in line even the fast track was up to an hour on some rides but we did have a laugh.

This was a brilliant weekend, very helpful people amazing hotel and very happy children... Meaning very happy parents. My only criticism is that I would like to see more deals on longer stays.

Fab! Kids had a great time here. Good variety of rides and entertainment. Long waits on some rides and a bit frustrating when those with a fastpass queue jump but that seems to be true of most theme parks now days.

It's been a really great day, loads of rides to go on with your toddler, there is a bit of waiting time at some rides. There's a great picnic area with tables, social distancing it's easy to keep in the whole park. Definitely recommend this place.

Too many people!!! Chessington need to rethink their queuing system or let less people in. 2.5hours for the Vampire ride is ridiculous in 2018! When I went as a kid they use to have people entertaining while you queued. This day and age I'm sure they could use a ticketing system where you return to the ride at slotted times. Instead they charge for fast track which makes the day out even more expensive than it already is. No wonder Merlin Entertainments are struggling.

terrible for its 2nd day open this year..... the rides were all out of order. im talking about the ones that arent affected by the semi strong winds...... i qued for an hour at a ride that is only around 45ft tall and just as me and my sister were nearing the end of the que.....the ride closes.....then 15 minutes later it reopens... dont come to this place its starting to go down like pleasurewood hills..

Lots to do for toddlers although overall could do with a spruce up as looking quite tired compared to some of its competitors. Very expensive to eat/drink, bringing your own picnic is highly recommended

Good place for Zoo and child park (slide, etc.). A little difficult place for rides. Long queues for rides, and staff seems be very slow and relax. Staff doesn't seem to be bothered about the long queues.

Was good but for children of all ages , well set out . Easy to find your way around . Great rides . Had lots of fun . However we opt for ultimate fast track wrist bands which I would highly recommend to avoid queuing for rides . These are More

Very busy and huge wait times for all the big rides. Fast track is a con and once again separates rich people from the normal. It's not like it's cheap to get in. Why charge for parking too? A gift shop at the end of each ride to squeeze extra cash from parents. I give it 3 stars as the zoo and aquarium help escape the queues. Like most UK theme parks it feels like the end of days, plastic, money grabbing and soulless. Tip, take packed lunch and flask if tea. LOL after all that the kids liked it though

We are a family ranging from 6 to 67 years of age.
We've been coming to Chessington World of Adventure for years, but this year was very disappointing. Loads of the old rides have gone and not been replaced. The Bubble Works once was great for little ones too small or short to go on bigger rides, but sadly that vanished a couple of years ago never to be replaced.
You would have thought during Lockdown the whole place would have been spruced up, but it now looks shabby.
For the price we paid for our entry, which we booked 5 days in advance to get a discount, and the 90 minutes waiting in queues for rides, it really seemed a total ripoff.
We, as a family group have, with regret, decided it will be a long time before we return to Chessington, which is very sad.

A great day spoilt by 3.5 hours wasted in queues for rides, which then broke down and never got on them again. Try explaining that to kids

The cost of rubbish food is always annoying at places like this but guess we all no that nowadays

The plus sides are the staff are really lovely and the zoos nice along with the aquarium

A great day out for the family. I would recommend measuring children beforehand to avoid disappointment as many of the bigger rides are for 1.4 metres plus. We prebooked photo pass which was great value and gave us unlimited digital photos for the day - a great souvenir!! There's an amazing selection of eateries, including a vegetarian/vegan joint which was great as I am veggie! Will be going again when my youngest nephew will be able to enjoy more of the day!

Chessington's Confused Zoo of One Adventure, with that 'One Adventure' being the hunt to try and find a ride that doesn't have a 75 minute wait.
Is it a zoo? Is it a theme park? Chessington tries to be both, whilst somehow failing to be halfway decent either.

For a park that aims to cater to the 'Younger Children' market (with attractions themed around The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom) it seems ridiculous that they would expect 4-7 year olds to stand in line for what was on average a 60 minute wait.

In short: An inexcusable waste of money and time, you'll have a better family day just going for a walk down your local park.

Excellent rides and zoo, lots to keep little ones and big ones happy all day. Lots of places to eat and sit down and has a rainy day policy. But everything is expensive, double what it's like outside.
