The family bought my partner an experience where he got to meet and feed giraffe, sealions and gorillas. The whole thing seemed very rushed and as the sea lion and giraffe meetings took place behinds the scenes the family could not see him enjoying the experience nor take photos as a lasting reminder. There was no attempt for zoo staff to engage or even communicate with family- it was up to my partner to hastily text which enclosure he was heading to next. He did enjoy the experience very much, so thank you for this, however to be able to have the family around to share his enjoyment would have been better. He said the keepers were very knowledgeable about the sessions and the gorillas but seem to know very little about the giraffe. I do understand that the welfare of the animals comes first but I am sure all the animals are use to crowds and it would be nice if you could provide a viewing area for a limited number of people to accompany the person enjoying the experience.
