Place is lovely really was the only grumble I'd have is the parents who bring the ferrals! It's not hard to teach politeness or manners. Nursery and schools do this why can't parents?!

Extremely fun day out, great for families and good amenities - restaurants, toilets etc. Estimated queue times are always wrong - dont buy the fast pass, you still have to queue.
Fun for family. There's so much to do. Loved the vampire ride:)
Great rides, lovely to see the animals. Only reason not given it 5 stars is due to be far, far too busy - impossible to socially distance with such a high capacity no matter how hard we tried
Fine if you have children, not much to do as an adult
Very bad operations
A lot if boats are filled by 50%
Queuejumpers are accepted by the personal at Scorpion express
Lovely short break staying in the chessington safari hotel in the Africa room.. kids loved their themed room. Brilliant time in the park too, will definitely be back again.
No social distancing really. Evrn though floor markings are visible. Not many people taking any notice. Really not worth the money when you have small kids as queuing is still really long
Such a great day out. Rides were for all ages and well staffed. So much to do and see. Also enjoyed seeing the various zoo animals which was a highlight for my three year old grandson.
Well worst day day ever, they let too many people in which resulted in massive queue times only getting 4 rides in a whole day ,not worh the 6hr trip.
Staff are rude , park was dirty litter everywhere. Not disabled friendly at all . 2nd merlin Park that have visited and will not be returning.
Well run place, great rides for a family with a 10 and 6 year old
Absolutely disappointed, took the kids for their joint birthday and most rides were closed! Park closed at 4 even though it states 5pm online. My 5 year old and 2 year old even though it was boring!! Never again
The good thing about the park and hotel are the staff and animals . The park it's self is small for kids aged I'd say 5 to 10 not enough big rides for teens or adults family's with a mix of children between the ages I stated should enjoy it More
Total rip off. 75 minute queues, way too busy, tired rides. A very unpleasant experience with children. The place was absolutely swarming with people. Complete hell. The owners should be ashamed ripping off families like this.
Great fun as always and the special Halloween extras were great and a little terrifying!
Liked it considering covid 19 conditions it was good but cues where very long
Now your talking I was here in 1969 when my do took me then again in the summer of 18 I prefer this place to London zoo the animals at Chessington are more assessable and the atmosphere is great ...loved it.
Kids love it but I'll only do it with vouchers or schemes. No way am i going and paying gate prices...
We did a Giraffe feeding which was great but we felt the zoo was lacking. It mainly focused on rides and games for kids rather than animals.
Around 6 or 7 years ago at my old Primary School, we booked a School trip here, and I throughly loved it throughout, practically the whole day I was smiling away with most of the rides to my height, so that was a bonus . Anyways, the other thing is how much my friends enjoyed it, my best friends Logan and Zack enjoyed it, as did my Girlfriend s Stephanie and Hayley, and again, that was always a winner. I do definitely recommend coming here, it s suitable for all ages, and the atmosphere when walking in and out is beyond amazing .
Great place for kids of all ages. Lots of rides to go on. Fairly flat but not enough signs for rides. You can easily go the wrong way to rides
We are Merlin Pass holder so Chessington is one of our go to place every few weeks. Kids enjoy everything from Zoo, Theme Park, Sea Life and Safari. Food is a bit pricey but there are lots of options from pizza, fried chicken and burger places. Range of shapes to shop around too.
Best place to visit, enjoyed alot , some rides are scary, food a bit expensive, but overall a great experience place fir family
Always a great place to go with the family que in October half term was not to bad longest we waited was 40 mins but averaged about 10 mins got a new tiger rock land which was fantastic my kids were 2, 5 and 8 and my youngest was still able to go on about 8 different rides with an adult
Good family day out. Park looking a little tired but new things coming this year so hopefully will improve over the coming season. Very impressed with how clean the toilets We're!
Great rides, very good for the kids, but..
They seem to over estimate the queue time by 2x or 3x times - times are inaccurate.
Barriers for queues aren't managed so you can wander where you like, which makes queue rides longer.
They need more signage, difficult to find certain rides and toilets, even the way out.
No staff directing traffic out so it's every car for itself.
With better management it would be a considerably better park.
Fab for young kids but poor for adults entertainment.
Parks lovely. Fun rides. Queues wasn't even that bad. But the chips and burgers and over cooked bacon salad pots was a load of dogs ********. We paid 27 for food that was tasteless and cremated. Sad really.
Rides breaking down. Not geared up for little ones at all. Run by kids.
Some long queues but worth the trip.... would recommend getting Merlin annual pass as the car park for pass holders is so much better when you are ready to leave
Even given the extra cleaning which is understandable, the wait times were sometimes over 90 minutes. The Gruffalo ride wasn't working (try explaining that to a 2 year old who'd spent the journey talking about it)
Now I'm only judging this on my recent experience. We went to 3 theme parks Thorpe park, legoland and Chessington. But out of the three we visited the staff at Chessington didn't seem bothered.
It wasn't as organised as the other parks right from the moment you get in. When we arrived to what we thought was the car park we got told they are doing covid testing and we got diverted to another car park other cars around us done the same.
The queing wasn't the greatest as you come in not a lot of staff on to help you know what's going on. Temperature checked and bags and off we went in
My biggest concern is nobody was checking the children's height as we went in my boy is now 1.1m so he could finally go on vampire all the other parks check their height before they go on not here which made me feel uneasy. It's a safety height for a reason . We got to the front of the ride which was great they strapped me in but left my boys harness up for 5 mins I was panicking at this point no one was around to tell them I couldn't move I assumed he would strap me in then him I ended up taking my mask and shouting at someone to come over eventually they did but it was so unorganized it's a joke.
My 5 year old being at the front should be strapped in before me he could of got out the seat and God knows what could of happened I'm stuck in the seat and couldn't move if he were to get out staff didn't care they are all kids anyway. You just can't risk things like that I'm afraid especially when that accident that happened at Alton towers was put down to a human error.
Apart from that we all had a good time just a minor moan I would just like to see staff look like they care a bit more.
Also the app was way off on queue times and it regularly said rides were closed when they weren't.
They closed tiger rock all day then opened it at 5pm what's the point I did manage to get on so that was lucky
As I said we all did enjoy our time today it just was very unorganised.
I won't let this put me off coming back as we do enjoy this theme park.
Hopefully when we return things will improve
A fun day out but when we visited a LOT of the attractions were closed and this was extra frustrating as lots of them were the attractions that the children in the party should have been able to ride due to the height restrictions.
The fact lots of rides were down also made the rides that were available even more busy so we spent a lot of time in queues for rides we weren't overly excited about doing!!
2 rides closed broken down whilst in the line waiting for over 45 minutes.
Get there for opening time, check their website for best visiting day and use the app when there. We do the above and get 10-12 rides in every visit!
Great day out with the family, everything is overpriced within the park as we have all come to expect o guess! Car parking is now at an additional charge, which must be paid on exit.. after the huge queue. A better method would surely be adding it to the ticket price.
A very good theme park especially for the little ones
Lots to do and there's something's for the little one's to
Don't get me wrong, it still has some fun rides , but the food was simply awfull. They are out to screw every last penny In your pocket out of you.And finally what ever half wit came up with the idea of paying for your car parking at only two barriers on the way out needs shooting. That's assuming you don't rip your exhaust of on the most awfully track to and from the car Park.
Great for tweens, over 1.2 metres can go on most rides
Fun park is great although getting a little tired. The hotel itself is good with nice rooms but the organisation and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Took us three attempts at check in to get a key that worked for the room they gave us, when we finally got in there was already someone in it, very shocked...... Reception not really bothered at all that they had let us into someone else's room! And asked me 'would you like me to write the room number down for you this time' cheek!
Fast pass was a god send. Queuing for temperature check was long but went down quickly. Not much social distancing happening but staff are trying their best.
Chessington is still a great day out! If you love conservation, go! If you love rides, go, go, go!
Smokehouse grill is good, and the Safari/Aztec Hotel is comfortable. Great breakfast!
Really enjoyed the day but have been to much better theme parks. Covid 19 precautions and social distancing enforcement was poor which somewhat tainted the experience.
What a nice place, went on a Monday as it was lovely and quiet. Grandchildren loved it, lots for them to do. Some attractions not open due to covid 19 but all the same staff were brilliant, rides that were open for all ages were fantastic
Fantastic day out for all the family with disability facilities and options for the rides. Clean and tidy plenty of food choices great rides and animals to see fun fun fun all day long.
Never been to chessington before first time collected sunsaver coupons different than I expected very confusing with the one way system in place for covid-19 but managed ok got to see a lot of animals went on a couple of ride there all in all very enjoyable day
Awesome place to experience aadventurous and family rides
Great place for young adventures. My 2 kids(8 +4) really enjoyed it!!
Had a very nice time but advise you to book any activities in advance especially the pool
Amazing rollercoaster and other rides. You can also see different animals there like tigers and rhinos. Also a good place for younger children; smaller rides and a free gruffolo show.
The check in was a little wait and felt more could be done to help. Staff were great but it just felt they had many jobs to do so we re not available for some tasks as needed. Rooms were brilliant and clean. I feel like visitors of the hotel that are also going into the park should get something more than a a4 print of the tickets especially when staying more than one day.
The photo pass was also an annoyance to even use let alone get a hold of. I had to wait until 12 lunch time to even get the bands and then at almost every ride they had to print receipts as their scanner was not working or some other issue. I feel the experience could be streamlined and made more user friendly. As an example guests could scan their band and punch their number in at the ride exit or even at the hotel after they finish the day.
Fair amount of things to keep you interested in a quite small area so everything is only a couple of minutes walk away.
Feels a bit claustrophobic though because of it.
The gruffalo ride was very loud inside.
Ride queues got big very quickly and stayed big through the day.
Also felt that smoking areas were poorly placed right in thoroughfares which meant you couldn't avoid walking very close to them.
Chessington world of adventures is a brilliant place to visit but the queues are always looking for the scarier rides. I do recommend this theme park.
1st official opening day (for non special ticket holders) last Sunday. High winds caused few rides to close which nothing can be done about. Quite a few rides out of action for technical issues. New Room on the Broom had massive queue straight away and by time we left after 6 hours it hadn't opened at all. Massive queues of people complaining at customer service.
We went for one of the Christmas dates. You can visit most of the animals but only certain rides are open on these dates. We did the gruffalo ride 3 times as there was no real queue. Father Christmas experience was good in the end but alot of queuing up. As we had booked a time i thought that was when we would go in. The time booked is the time you need to start queuing up!!
Not bad but shop around for deals and don't buy the season ticket...get a deal with the hotel
Really good day out with the kids. As expected the food prices are through the roof so make sure you take your own with you!
My wife said the Vampire ride has been the thrill of her life so far
Lacking magic. Showing it's age. Staff are under trained & look like they don't want to work here. Choice of food is poor and the quality is worse while being massively over priced.
Parking is not included in the ticket price.
Definitely not value for money even with discount.
Good day out most rides it's over a metre tall it accompanied, mostly designed for pre teens park riders, however we still had a great day in the rain. Food halls usually very busy and pricey, disabled access on all the rides we came across. Great to see the giraffes on the sufari ride.
Would have got five stars if it wasn't for the petulant kids controlling the rides. The wife got injured and the ride controller totally ignored the situation.
We Loved it. Kids loved it.
Miss the bubbleworks though! But the gruffalo is a good alternative.
Only downside was disabled toilet access. No-one around to let my daughter in to use them.
Great staff very helpful. Too much to do in one day had to come back the next day and still didn't manage to do everything thing but fun was had by all the family
disappointed by my experience today attended with three children under 4 and there was a massive wasps nest near the vampire ride. Worried at the lack of care for children at the amusement park. My daughter's 4th birthday was a disappointment should have gone and not to mention I not see one first aid person in sight. What if a child was to get stung and unfortunately be allergic to a wasp sting. Chessington needs to do more to protect the children that attend the amusement park. I am sure your staff are affected constantly. Not good and won't be going back for the considerable future. I am sure other amusement parks take better care
One amazing childhood theme park I've been here, it had a lot of changes and i still like the theme park from that day.
Had an overnight stay here didn't visit the park but the room was good and so was the breakfast
Great for younger kids who arnt yet ready for thorpe park but want more than lego land
A bit busy the day we went. For a great day out avoid school holidays and weekends where possible. You could end up paying a lot to get in, queuing all day and only getting on a handful of rides unless you want to pay the entrance fee again to fast track. Took nearly an hour to get out of the car park due to the crazy barrier system. Why not charge the parking in the admission price!? Had better days here!
Was nice to go on a fairly quiet day. Could do with a few more rides for kids under 5, but on the whole kids enjoyed the day
Great theme park. I had a really nice family day. My 10 years old brother loved it. I recommend. The express car parking - will save you lots of time and price is not that different from the normal car parking. Be there early to take the best out of it!
Fun day out. Costly when you factor in food and drinks etc and best off spending two days there to do everything without it feeling rushed.
I have been here since a child and it is geared towards all ages. What makes it different is the zoo with the ability to pet some of the animals. Love the rides and selection of food. Would recommend to any. Is expensive which lets it down!
Poor. The queues are ridiculously long for small children- ten rides were between 60 and 120 minutes waiting times throughout the whole day!! The new Room on the Broom ride was 120 mins all day- poor little kids.It was absolutely packed all day even though it was a cold Tuesday in April. I would hate to come in August!! So many stressed looking parents. We went to Thorpe park yesterday and no queues were over 40 minutes for big roller coasters. The rides are good once you get on them.
i like to visit the zoo once a month see the progress of the animals i find the staff most helpful the pubs okay too. stroll aound relax good exercise. i use my annual pass witch is a bargain. some new pictures of the baby gorilla & more new pictures ofthe penguins 17/9/18 more baby gorilla pictures he or she is grow bigger fun to watch 15/8/19 a few more pictures it was nice to see the tigers in the water pool .some of the tigers in my photo's are no longer at the zoo . they were replaced by the amur tigers. in their cage area they have put the bush dog allso in one picture with the lions in the back ground you can see the sky train no longer running which is a shame.
It is ok for younger children but I don't think it is for me
Needs up dating ,for the distance flamingoland is beyter
It's a good family friendly place, with great rides. But I think some of the older rides are outdated and tatty and for the price you pay they should sort that. Also it's summer so of course it's going to be very busy, but it doesn't help when so many people are using fast track and cutting in making queue times even longer. This meant we didn't get on many rides and it's unfair on the families who cannot afford to pay extra for it.
Like the way Chessington is done with the buildings really adding to the atmosphere. However my 15 and 9 year olds found the park quite lame and much preferred the big rides at Thorpe Park.
Appears to be a good park for 8 years and below.
Had a great day, great value for money!
A little bit confusing maps they give you not really accurate easy to get lost
Great place, rides safari and real zoo including a small aquarium. Penguins too!
